Welcome to the town of Frazier Board Meeting Recap, your quick and comprehensive update on the latest decisions impacting our community. In this episode, we're covering the March 19th, 2025 Board meeting. Let's dive into the key discussions and outcomes. The meeting kicked off at 6.02 PM, with a roll call and the approval of the agenda and consent agenda, which included minutes from the March 5th meeting and a resolution regarding C and L water solutions. From there, it was straight into a Treasurer's report from the Towns Financial Director. Sales Tax Revenue was up 12.6% from 2024, and short-term rental tax revenue saw a 10.79% increase. The board also discussed investment transparency and requested a more detailed report on Colorado Trust funds. One of the major discussions of the evening revolved around a resolution addressing wastewater treatment compliance. The town is implementing an industrial pre-treatment program to regulate ammonia discharges from breweries and distilleries. After working closely with businesses since November, all affected establishments are now side-stream capturing 100% of their waste. The board approved the resolution, authorizing the town manager to sign, distribute, and enforce a compliance letter to ensure Frazier meets state waste water regulations and avoids potential fines. The board then reviewed applications for the Business Enhancement Grant Program. A total of $125,000 was budgeted for 2025 with an additional $25,000 rolled over from last year. The committee recommended funding eight of the nine applicants, including projects for exterior improvements, ADA accessibility, and public amenities. Some debate arose over whether a nonprofit daycare should be eligible for the grant, as the program is designed for business enhancements. There was also discussion about food trucks and their eligibility with a proposal to require branding them with a phrasier logo if they receive funding. The board approved grants for multiple projects, with plans to refine eligibility criteria in a future workshop. The board also discussed the approval of the Downtown Development Authority budget, which is currently set at $36,000 for the year. Some trustees raised concerns about the allocation of funds and potential adjustments needed to better support Frazier's business community. The board approved a resolution authorizing the application for Congressional Directed Sp St. Louis Landing and an early childhood education center. This resolution aims to secure funding for these critical community projects. The Board also made key appointments. A representative was appointed to the Colorado River base and round table to ensure Frazier has a voice in regional water resource discussions. Additionally, a representative was appointed to the Winter Park and Frazier Chamber to strengthen business and community relations. Additional topics included an update on upcoming town events and a brief discussion on potential future infrastructure projects. That's all for this week's Frazier Board meeting recap.
