Just to give you guys an overview, the updated proposed budget after the contract change is $466.026.832, so $466,000,000, $26,832. Major expenses that were funded in this budget were increases to IT specifically for storage, fiber security, and increased software renewals, a 3.3 cost of living increase for employees along with associated match on those benefits, updates to gel and mate medical and food service cost, 23 full time and seven part time staffing additions for law enforcement, and updates to the law enforcement in car and body camera project. $4,374,118 contribution to our capital improvement plan. The conversion to a medical examiner's office, including two additional full time and one part time position. 11 other full time positions that were added for growth and additional legislative mandates, and an increase for our economic development payments for chosen 381 agreements. Whereas the Montgomery County Commissioner's Court held budget workshops and invited and encouraged participation from elected officials appointed official and department heads through various needs, programs and services for the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget and the public could comment on the preliminary budget at a commission's court session prior to the budget workshop. Whereas the proposed budget sets out in detail the resources and estimated revenues and expenditures of the general fund and each special revenue fund. Whereas the proposed budget was filed with the county clerk, county order, and made available on the county website in accordance with Texas Local Government Code, whereas the proposed budget includes a cost of living adjustment of 3.3% and salary adjustments for various employees, and the budget officer will file at a future commission's court meeting and compensate package, including pay plans, salary adjustments, and law enforcement set plans. Whereas the proposed budget that was filed will be amended in the future to reflect a contract change for St. Anthony for a Catholic school. Therefore it is resolved approved and ordered that the commissioners court in Montgomery County approves of the school year 2024-25 proposed budget filed by the county budget officer and amended by the commissioners court to be adopted with its awesome the total budget of 4,066,000 26,832 dollars.
