So whereas the city of North Miami Beach is committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse and respectful community that stands against all forms of hatred, discrimination and intolerance and, and by the way, we are actually the most diverse commission, I think, in Miami-Dade County. Yes, we are. I can't speak for that. Where I ask, anti-Semitism has no place in our society. And the alarming rise in anti-Semitic incidents across the country demands unified action and a result, result, result commitment to combating Jew hatred in all its forms and. Whereas N Jew hatred day serves as a global call to action, encouraging individuals, schools, organizations, and communities to take a meaningful step in the fight against anti-Semitism and to stand in solidarity with the Jewish people. I don't? And we're asked since October 7th, anti-Semitic incidents in the United States have surged by 200% with an even more staggering 500% increase in incidents targeting Jewish students on college campuses, underscoring the urgent need for collective action and awareness. And whereas in Jew hatred day has been endorsed by leaders from across the political spectrum and is now recognized by over 60 elected officials across 12 states, demonstrating a bipartisan commitment to eradicating anti-syemitism and continue. So, okay? Okay. And it's recognized now by over 67 elected officials because we're adding us as well. May I? Which one? All right. I'll finish. Whereas the city of North Miami recognized the Portons importance of standing in solidarity with the Jewish community, reinforcing the values of justice, equality, and human dignity for all. Now therefore we, the mayor and commissioner of the city of North Miami Beach, Florida, to hereby proclaim April 29, 2025 as hashtag and Jew hatred day. Amen. In a city in North Miami Beach and urge all residents to join us in rejecting anti-Semitism, promoting educational awareness and fostering a community where all individuals, all individuals, are treated with dignity and respect. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. This is more than enough. I am. I'm so excited. Should I go? Let's take a picture. Oh, take a picture. Okay. Here, hold it. Make sure it's on. Okay. You got a wide mind. Okay. One, two. One more. One, two, one more. Okay. She's going to go get her speech. She'll be right back. Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you. My name is Jennifer Ensign and I am honored to stand here today to express our deepest gratitude to Mayor Joseph, Michael Joseph and Commissioner for Tunis Mugler and the City of North Miami Beach for issuing a proclamation recognizing Andrew Hatred Day on April 29th. This is more than just a proclamation. It is a powerful statement that Hatred has no place in our communities. By taking to stand the City of North Miami Beach sets an example for cities across America to follow. Now more than ever in these challenging times, we must come together in the spirit of bipartisanship to confront and eradicate Jew hatred. This is not a political issue. It is a moral obligation. Recognizing and fighting Jew hatred is essential in preserving the values of justice, equality and freedom that divine our great nation. Today the city of North Miami Beach sends a clear message. Jewish civil rights matter. And our communities must be safe for all. Other cities are inspired by this leadership and are joining and recognizing end-juherty day every year on April 29. This week, we also celebrate the story of redemption, and we're reminded of the power of perseverance in the face of uncertainty. Israel faces continued multi-front threats from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Judea and Samaria and Iran. As we celebrate Passover and Easter, both spring celebrations, let's not forget the 59 hostages who still remain in Gaza, including America and Eden Alexander. We cannot celebrate the Jews freedom from Bandach in Egypt while these hostages are still health in captivity in tunnels. Bring them home now. As we reflect on the perseverance of the Israel Lights, may we be reminded of the Jewish people's strength throughout history. Lifts, lift our spirits, renew hope, and remind ourselves as we celebrate freedom. Let's bring light in these dark times. Wishing all of you celebrating a meaningful and peaceful Passover at time of freedom, faith, and resilience, wishing all of you celebrating Easter, a day filled with joy, love, and the special blessing of this holiday season. Thank you, Mayor Michael Joseph and commissioners for standing on the right side of history. Let's continue this fight together and you, hatred. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you.
