And as always, we'll begin our meeting with an invocation. Today we'll be led Erickson followed by the pleasure of lead by Commissioner Senegal if you feel led to rise. Please join me in prayer. Heavenly Father we thank you for this day and other day in your glorious creation. We ask that you be with us and as we start this new year we especially ask your blessing on any newly elected officials be it in this county this state or this nation give them grace give them wisdom give them mercy we ask that all of our decisions be pleasing in your side. Father bless our county our state and nation, with the grace that you have shown us over all these many years. Lead us in goddess and forgive us what we fell ye. We ask all these things in your son's name. Amen. Please join me. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under God, individual with liberty and justice for all. And I want to thank everybody for coming out to me and for Mr. Willis's real point to Mr. Scott Decker. That's what you'll get. All right, we'll begin our meeting today with a time of public comment. If there's anyone present who wishes to make public comment about any items that are on today's agenda, you may approach the lectern. If you're attending remotely, you'll need to press dark six to unmute your line. The time of public comment is open. Hearing none, we'll close this time of public comment and I think our last meeting of 2024 was on December 17th I believe and at that time we passed a number of resolutions and proclamations, thanking and recognizing and honoring those public officials and employees who were retiring at the end of the year. And one of those was a municipal quarterback Stevenson. So we went looking that was passed then and your resolution went to be framed. So we don't have it here. Councilor, but we want to invite you up to the lectern to give you number one, this flag that was flown over. The judge can't afford half the honor of your service to the citizens. You can't even afford half the honor of the government can't afford to have an honor for your service to the citizens. You've got to be taken. So that's a good one. And we want to... APPLAUSE APPLAUSE And we want to say... ...which we have your problemation here to read. So, you've been a fixture around here for a long time in many different positions. So thank you so much for your service and we hope that you really enjoy your retirement. I'm sure you'll be doing something out. Well good morning everyone.'s been a ride. It's been a joy for the most part. You know, 39 years is a long time because I had a break in service, but I came back. I retired. Actually, that's my third time retiring. I kept coming back because I realized I wasn't quite like commission the boy after so I had to keep coming back. What has been good, some of the most wonderful people I met in my life was within those 39 years. People I never met before. I always consider them as my former county co-worker. good people, elected officials, as well as just regular county employees. Seeing a lot of people leave, you know, especially a lot of my farmers, shelter department employees, and I started with way back in 83. No longer here. I never forget some of those people, you know, and one of them that we lost, you know, it was hurting. You walk those floors to those people for years, you sweat it with them, you fought with them occasionally to restrains somebody, and myself like Randy Jill's a car home, some of those Mike Kurt Packter, some of those Atlantaoughton, those old heads. We remember a lot of that stuff when it was much different, you know, that the old county jail. So all that was a part of my journey and my career. I like to think you judge and each commission, commission with us, I never got a chance to really battle with you doing budget here. I even enjoy those because budget hearing is just a wish list. That's all it is. I think it's something we have to process through. But thank you all for the things that you gave me. I tried to do the best with the little bit I was giving. And you ought to have a big office and have a successful office. Not at all. Just serve the people, connect with the people, and always realize that we are the privileged characters, the taxpayers are the bosses. And we should never forget that. Those taxpayers areouts on the bounces, we just elected a fisherman. And I knew that. I didn't have to learn it the hard way. That's my other tool when I came in because they were the one who elected me. But anyway, everyone that's here today, you know, y'all didn't never take me out the lunch. Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you, Josh. Thank you. All right. Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you, Josh. Thank you. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All right. So, uh... Let me say where it is. Can those roll already gone? Yeah. Commissioner Arnold. This is not the same unwelcoming, but why are you here today? Oh, that's right. He's got his party afterwards. Yes, sir. I was thinking, am I missing a proclamation or something that I didn't see it wasn't in my stack and I'm trying to figure out what's going on. Yeah, good name, sir.
