I'm going to start with the first one. I'm going to start with the first one. I'm going to start with the first one. I'm going to start with the first one. I'm going to start with the first one. I'm going to start with the first one. I'm going to start with the first one. Check. Check, microphone check. will be a presentation. No. No. I'm just trying to get pull up the presentation so it'll be ready. I'm going to go up here. the entrance in the middle. So join with computer audio. in your human body. We're doing a volume of power. you you you you you you you you you you I would like to call this meeting to order. All right. The time is 614 and chair Hill has just called the senior advisory meeting to order. Can we do a roll call please? Yes, can. Harris Hill. Maria Teresa Fernandez. Listen. Ola Augman. Absent. Ruth Cossie. Berlio Young Rayer. Donna Rutherford. President. Isaac Stevenson. Absent. That's roll. Okay, thank you. Now do we have the agenda minutes from the agenda from last meeting? Oh yeah, that was the email, that's right. Did everyone see the agenda from okay? Can we I'm doing approval of the agenda. Through the chair, it's also attached to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to go to the next page. I'm going to February. February. March. Okay. Okay. You got it. having anyone have any questions? Can we do an approval of the minutes? And approval, well, it was approval of the agenda. I'm sorry. Madam Chair, I'll make the motion to approve the agenda for March 5, 2025. A second. A second. Yes. Madam Chair, I second the motion. The motion was seconded by Keith Smith, I believe, committee members Smith. Thank you. So can we approve the minutes from last meeting? I make the motion to approve the minutes, but on the second page. Like there was something missing one of the paragraphs. You're telling me I'm going to turn you on, you're off. Can you hear me now? Okay, still feedback. Well, I can't find it. So I'll make the motion approved of minutes of February. It was February. 2025. A second. And now we'll go to public comment. And after public comment, we're going to have our presentation. Correct? Okay. Thank you. Any public comment? the I hope they're not getting too much of a echo. Are we? You guys can hear me okay? Okay good. Uh, yeah, my name is Luis Avalos. Um, come and representing the East Palo de los Senior Center, as well as the California Cosplay Gallup. So as which is going to be in roughly about what is it a week and a half from now? As coming up so I've gone ahead and brought some few of our flyers for you guys. So I'll go ahead and present these to you. Let's see how many we got up here. One, two, three, four, five, six. Let me see, I'll go ahead and hand you guys on with these. And as I think of me have stated before, I have discussed matters with the chair. Sorry, sorry to interrupt. Can we stop for a second? The committee is hearing some kind of echo kickback. The audio feedback is distorted. It's kind of up there. I can hear it too. No, it of up there. I can hear it too. No, it's not a feedback, like an echo kind of thing. It might be a little high. I don't know. Maybe I want to check that. You guys can hear it also? Yeah. Hello. I guess I'll take you guys some flyers real quick in the meantime. you I'm going to go to the next one. I'm going to go to the next one. Hey, good my name is Lee Sovelos. I'm representing both the senior center and the California Cosplay Gala, which is having our event coming up on the 15th of this month. As I have spoken with the California Cosplay Gala board and they are all in agreement since East Palato has been such an excellent help with us arranging and having our event here since East Palato reallyrow really hasn't, as far as I know, have too many events going on having to do with cosplay or there's sort of stuff. It is a great way for it to bring it into the city and have some other members of the city engage in it as well as just have a great time, go dance, do things like that. And so as I spoke with the board of the California Cosmic Gallup, they have decided we had, it's not advertised on their flyer, but residents of East Palo Alto will have a disc and I think it's like $15 to get in instead of the regular price. And all seniors are at $10. So anybody from the, if you guys just want to go say, hi, check out the event and stuff like that. It's much less than the regular expense if you wanted some good Maldonado's pizza. I know we're going to have some of that. That's there as well. There's going to be two dance lessons. There's going to be some presentations of dancing as well as demos and stuff You're going to see some fantastic outfits because when when we say we want to ball kind of thing Folks bring it. They which call it really get get get you know grinding on making and Fantastic outfits the theme because we are here in the Bay right next to the Bay is is as you can tell on the flyer, kind of a little bit of a nautical theme, ocean, pirates, you might see some pirates, you might see some mermaids, you might see some cool cartoon characters, little mermaids, something like that, you're gonna see all that out there. So we invite everybody to come and enjoy the event where we are, I'm going to be working with the folks over at the Ravenswood because we might have a lot of folks coming. So hopefully we can take care of the help with the parking and stuff like that. So that's one of the things that we're working on. And like I said, I wanted to stretch out an invitation for everybody. Everybody that's included everybody at the outside and the internet land. So feel free to. Oh yeah, of course. If for East Pawl to residents it's going to be easy to spot. Just show us your ID and if it shows you live in East Pawl also, you get your discount. Simple as that. So if anybody out there needs a little bit of clarification just bring your ID. Okay. Apart from that, so that's that's for California Cosplay, Gallup information. As for news and information into the the East Palato Senior Center Inc. I did want to toss out an informational. So when for process and procedures for information coming to the senior center, anything that needs to be brought up that we need to share with our seniors because I know that you guys have a lot of programs and things that go on. We need you guys to go ahead and form us about it and so we can schedule a time to get into the thing. I know we had a thing this morning, yes, in this that is that is he thought over here showed up and passed some information. The only problem with that is that it can be a little distracting to activities. So we need to have, when you guys show up, make sure you communicate with Ms. Grant, you know, and let her know what the situation is. She will get you in touch with either, if it's something that has to be in Spanish, of course, it's going to either be either myself, Yolanda. I don't know if you guys know Yolanda. Okay, good. Or also we have, we have Jackie who does the breakfast program or not breakfast, but the lunch program there. And so it surely, it should get you in communication with either of us so that we can communicate to our seniors, which are mostly Spanish-speaking. So obviously, you know, you can't go in there and say, hey, I got an idea and stuff like that, they're going to be like, yeah, you know what I'm saying? So, of course, we need, you know, just the the only thing about it is we just don't want any distractions for anything that's currently going on. That's that was the only issue today. I think a lot of some of the seniors were like, oh, we're making Julia, we don't know what's going. So next time, we need to schedule some time to go ahead and get the information out. So we don't have any mix-ups or distractions. So I have a question. So when you say schedule time, we have a senior up there. So people can't bring, I mean, I don't understand. We say schedule time to do. So basically, basically what we're asking is if you want to do like a program where you want to announce something or if it's something they're having to do the program that you want to do like a little information or do like a selectivity with them or something, please ask Ms. Grathead of times if she can schedule it on a day where we're free and then we can schedule it if it's gonna be like an hour long thing or program or any. So basically we don't have. If it is that happen if there are three scheduled and a schedule. Yeah, so basically there's no clash in between the scheduling and something like, okay, we need to get the seniors information about this. Sometimes we have things scheduled and if we have something to else come in, it a disruption. So that's what we're mainly trying to avoid. Through the chair. We can only take in public comment. We don't respond to public comments. Okay, got it. Okay. Thank you. Cool. Thank you. Okay. All right. Now if you guys have any questions for me further on, you feel free to let me know directly. I think you can probably get my contact of home. Okay. Thank you. All right. Okay, so we'll go to all business. Protect training update, please. Thank you, Chair. Yes, to graduate with an update, we have moved forward with the Ask Kevin programming. We have not started it yet. We have flyers here for you all and wanted to get quickly your feedback on whether we should take do the programming on Tuesdays or Thursdays. And the time will be 12 30 to 12 30 to 2 p.m. and we're targeting either the front room of the YMCA or the back room. That's still being confirmed but it will be at the YMCA. But the programming is set to start March 25th and March 27th and you don't have to write this down because we have copies for you all and we'll we'll we'll just have to buy them for you and we'll get them all to you. Okay, so you're asking us to make a decision of on what times Tuesday, Thursday, from 1232? The times are set but we're I'm asking for is there a preference to either Tuesday or Thursday? Oh, not both. One. Okay. Yeah. So would you like us to vote on that? Sure. Okay. What do you all think? Thursday's fine with me me. Either day it's fine with me. Okay. As long as I can get an update on what day. It would be okay. I want to make sure I'm as active as I can be. Okay. So right now I'm hearing. There's one Thursday and then there's two. Either day. So that's three Thursdays and two Tuesdays Okay, what miss Perly what do you think? Appreciate your honesty, thank you Mother Teresa You did one dude. Yeah, he's fine with me either way Okay, so unless we Thursday, it appears to be the date. Okay. It'll be the day of the week. Okay. Now, what do you need any of the any in any in any individual individuals from the senior advisor committee there? Yes. Yes. Okay. Because I'll be working. So in office. So at each meeting, you would like the senior advisor committee Committee to have representative. It'd be great for this pilot program so they can... And how long does the pilot program refresh my memory? Three months. So 12 classes. I could be there but maybe not every every time we meet. Okay. We have a sign-up sheet that we'll print off from Prodigy Hall and we would love if you would fill it out or at least at least have one representative from each. Okay. That was sign-up. Yeah, the sign-up sheet. Yes. Okay. Thank you. We'll have to do by the bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit created? Okay. And any thoughts because we would like to get this out to our seniors as soon as possible, but it looks amazing. Thank you, Q, for working with Vincent to get that done. Great, great insight and great information. One suggestion I may have had. Maybe magnets, I know we had done magnets before, but do you think we could do magnets on the helpful resource? And at some point, maybe further down the line, the information they could have, that they could put on their refrigerator or something. So all these numbers may be available on a magnet, on a magnet that goes on a fridge, just a thought. We'll make note of that. Thank you, Chair. Any feedback from the? So what we have in front of you as the original version and what the updated version that Vincent and committee member Smith worked on. And as committee member Smith is saying in the chat it was a pleasure to work with Vincent on that. Yes. Through the chair. I don't have a voice. That's why I was trying to type. But I do want you guys to know that the city has some type of bookmark that already has numbers, additional numbers and stuff. So it probably would be beneficial for us to come up with something that could be on the refrigerator. So they they could just get to it and coming from us would really be nice, especially since the seniors don't have to look for it. And they'll know that it's on the refrigerator. Hi. Hi, every year. Does that hear me? Yes, we can hear you. Okay. Please consider if you're a person energy. Thank you. I guess maybe this might be under new business. Maybe I should just wait. But I know we're talking about the the flyer brochure. And I guess it's a process question. So I'm not sure I want to do it right now. So I think I want to do it offline. And then maybe come back at another meeting to do a follow up. Okay, so I'll talk with Paris and you Mr. Bakery Okay, so that means we're going to pause printing again for another month to discuss offline. Is that the plan? Well, I just want to make sure it's a sensitive area and don't want to really go into details at this point. I appreciate it. So we can talk tomorrow. We can talk. Absolutely. Soon or then later. Yes. No problem. Thank you. I'd like that VQR. I know that you put the QR. I like that piece because that's another way to get information directly with a besides the flyer. So I just want to say that. Thank you. And I hear you speaking about the QR. My wife works for a security company called Fortinet. Fortinet. Yes, she does not allow me to do QR codes because it goes through a lot of QR codes through a third party. And there have been hacks in the system. So I'm not allowed to use QR codes. So I'm just mentioning it now. It might not be the same for everyone, but I keep thinking how I see you do have the assets. And probably the most not knowing how to use the computers, the most in jeopardy. So just for your information I think we're all the time. Okay so do we want to take a motion to postpone this for another month if people aren't okay with approving this, I'm okay with that. We don't. Okay. Through the chair, we will have the conversation offline and then take the next steps. But if the majority of the committee does appreciate it or want to move forward with the brochure then we'll listen to all you know concerns and take it from there okay okay okay so So can we. Madam chair, I'm. Make a motion that we approve the new brochure the way it's been submitted to the committee. Sorry, I don't know if it was bandwidth or not, but I missed the comment of Miss Donna. I know the motion. I was trying to catch before you did the motion. to ask what was missing piece, remember Donna, what was missing on the brochure, what was the sense of it, or is it a personal matter? No, which what she said we just have to have a conversation offline and was presenting to something else right now that then pertaining to the brochure. So we'll take it off line and discuss it and then we'll come back and just share later at another time. But it wasn't on the brochure. No. OK, then I second the motion. I'm proceeding with the brochure as is. OK. OK. I was going to make the motion, but I wanted to ask about that. Thank you, Ms. Cossie. Oh, we already made the motion. All in favor? I. Anyone disagree? No, nice. Okay. So we will move forward with approving the brochure as such. Thank you Awesome We want to move forward to the next item chair Yes, can we have Are you going to present our presenter of Peninsula family got wills program? Yes, I am awesome. Thank you for being very patient. I would like to introduce Sherry Moreno from Peninsula Family Service. And she will be doing an item on Got Wheels Program. And it's expansion. The floor is your Sherry. Okay. Hello and good evening to the members of the Senior Advisory Committee and everyone who's in attendance at tonight's meeting. I also wanted to thank you for the opportunity to talk to you about Got Wheels. But before I do, I wanted to thank Mayor Gaines for welcoming Gotills to East Palo Alto. And I also want to thank Community Services Manager Maurice Baker for helping me prepare for the presentation. Excuse me. So my name is Sherry Carumareno, and I manage Godwills. Godwills is a program of Peninsula Family Service. Peninsula Family Service is a private nonprofit based in San Mateo. And since 1950, Peninsula Family Service has been strengthening children, families and older adults with support and resources to realize their full potential and lead healthy stable lives. Slide, please, Maurice. Can you see the slides on the screen? I do not. Sorry. Am I the only one who doesn't see this light? I don't see any of that. Here we go. Okay. So, what has got wheels? A lot of you, or maybe most of you, or all of you, for all of you, this might be the first time you've heard about God Wheels and that's understandable, because God Wheels was launched by Peninsula Family Service with funding from the the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors as a pilot program in Daily City only on July in July 2019. So the purpose was to provide rights to historically underserved areas and Daily City was selected because of its location being the northernmost city and the most populace at the time. The goal then, as now, was to meet a top unmet need transportation. Lack of transportation leads to loneliness and isolation, which leads to poor health. So, God will system no cost taxi program. We call it a membership, but it's a no cost membership. You don't have to pay to become a member. It's a 24 hour service, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and each ride costs only $5. And a $5 each one way ride, curb to curb in the service area. And members get six one-way ride some months, and the program is currently funded by the San Mateo County, and it's in partnership with Sarriello Cab. Next slide, please. So before last year, December, Godfills was available to people who are 70 years or older who live in 13 cities and unincorporated areas and you can see what those cities are on the screen. There were only two eligibility requirements, and that was to be one for folks to be at least 70 years of age and live in any of those 13 cities. The pilot program is so successful that the service area was expanded to coalman South San Francisco in 2020 and then further expansion was enabled by CalTrans at the end of 2020 bringing the service area to a total of 13 cities from up daily city through the coast to half-man-bay and some cities in between. Next slide please. Last year the Board of Supervisors approved funding to bring gut wheels throughout the entire county, or pretty much the entire county, or on where on demand transportation is not provided. So we expanded to 12 more cities and unincorporated areas and you can see on the screen that we are now serving cities from Belmont down to Pesca Dero which is the northernmost tip of the county. And the two cities outside the service area are the City of San Mateo and the City of Pacifica, which have transportation programs exclusively for their residents. We are also now serving people with disabilities under the age of 70. So that's an expansion of our eligibility. Next slide, please. There's no restriction on the reason for taking gut wheels. The rides are there to free folks from isolation and loneliness and hence their quality of life encourage them to socialize and also of course to make it to their doctor's appointments or pick up their meds. We call our participants members to give them a sense of belonging and connection. You may recall that in 2023, the United States Surgeon General issued a strong advisory on loneliness as a national epidemic, and one of his recommendations was for connections, caring connections that make people feel that they are not alone. And transportation helps make that happen. What gottwell's members will not use the rights for is medical emergencies. and transportation helps make that happen. What God Will's members will not use the rights for is medical emergencies for that they need to call 911. And God Will's also provides rights to and from San Francisco International Airport. Next slide, please. Thank you. So we partner with Serialo Cab, a taxi company based in San Mateo County. And Serialo Cab also provides rights for the Reddewales program. It also provides the rights for the city of San Mateo and the city of Pacifica. And I believe Sarri Yellow Cab is the only taxi company based in the county of San Mateo. While services contact less, drivers assist members by storing their bags or equipment in the trunk or carrying those to their doorstep. Drivers may not enter the members' property. And this photo here was taken during one of the four events celebrating God Twills anniversary last year. Slide, please. Here are some parameters. Members, couples may both have, may both become members if they're 70 years of age or have disabilities. And what they're going to need to do is they need to have the right, the card with them for each ride. And the reason for that is the card is swipes through the card machine at the end of the ride at the destination. Either the driver can swipe the card or the member may swipe the card themselves and they can get a receipt and they can get a receipt for their records. Next slide, please. There is a user trip requirement. Members need to use the rights at least two times every six months. If they do not use it two times every six months, which is like one round trip every half year, then their members, their card would be automatically inactivated and they would no longer become members, but they may apply afterwards, reapply afterwards. Next slide, please. So we have made applying forgot God's wills a simple process. Applications are accessible on our website. Interested parties may also call and request a copy to be mailed to them. Applications may also be requested from city offices and community centers. And Marvin has agreed to partner with us to help with applications from people who are interested in East fellow Elkto so thanks so much for that Marvin. All that members do is to complete and sign the application form. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Yeah, we can hear you. Committee members, Smith. Hello. Fran. Who's Holly? Who's Holly? I the who? Let's continue. Sharon, thank you. All right. So next slide, please. This is how the membership card looks like. It's a gold card. It is an identification card and not a credit card. On the front is a yellow cab. You see them zipping up and down the freeway with a 2-2-2-2-2-2 number on the fender. Well, that's got wheels. And the same number appears on the back of the card, and that's the number for the, yeah, Saria locab dispatch. That's the number to call to arrange a ride. Next slide, please. And arranging a ride is just a phone call away. Each card corresponds to a unique membership number in case of card loss. They can call us and let us know. The lost card will be inactivated. There is a fee though to replace the card. It does cost bit and it's five dollars for to replace the card. Next slightly. This a fee though to replace the card it does cost a bit and it's $5 for to replace the card. Next slide please. So I did say the arranging a ride is easy and all the member needs to do is to call that number the repetitive 22 222, 222 identify themselves as a Godwills member needing a ride. They need to be ready to give the exact address for pickup and destination. The taxis try their best to be there within 15 or 30 minutes, but there are some factors that could affect the arrival, such as the weather, such as rush hour traffic or construction areas. Rides may also be made in advance and wheelchair accessible vehicles are available and especially requested for accessible vehicles. Next slide, please. We'd like to hear back from my members. So we asked them to send us little notes or to call us to share their experience and we received favorable responses from them. One of them calls, God willing, God send. One of them calls it the Lifeline, which really inspires us to continue doing the job and try to improve every day. The drivers also get compliments and we like that. The drivers undergo training. The Director of operations with Sarri and Locab is particularly responsive to comments from our members. Next slide, please. So these are the numbers to remember related to got wheels, got wheels goes to 25 citizen towns in the service area in San Mateo County. In San Mateo County, the service is available 24, 7, 365 days a year. Each one rate rate is $5 in an optional tip. Members have up to six one rate rates a month. If they need more, they can communicate it to us and we will find ways to make sure that the ride is available. Folks need to be 70 years old or older to qualify, but they may be under 70 with disabilities. And disability is defined by the Department of Motor Vehicles, the MV, and that would be people with conditions that prevent them from driving or otherwise taking public transportation. And the number for Cereyellow Cab is easy to remember. It's 1650 and 72. Next slide, please. So God willing, this is just one of the many programs provided by Pininsolla Family Service. One of the programs that we provide is our hotline, which is conducted out of our Fairrokes site. We also provide senior peer counseling. We have 30-hour training supervised by a clinician to train people of a certain age to help participants who are feeling lonely and isolated and are unable to leave the home. So, volunteer counselors can call them once a week or maybe pay visits to them, just talk about life and see what resources are available to them. We also operate the Fairroaks Adult Activity Center, and they do have some folks who live in East Bellow, Alto who go there for lunch and other programs. One of the popular programs in Fair Roxas help at hand, which is the Technology Navigation Workshop. And all of these services are free, by the way. And then we also have financial empowerment workshops. Now that's not for older adults, but it's not just for older adults. It's also for younger people, worth 13 to 19 years also. So it's to help folks to be able to manage their finances early on. Next slide, please. So we have a coordinator for God Wheels. His name is Gabriel Aguilar. He's bilingual in Spanish and English and he's available at this number and that email address. Next slide, please. So if you know anyone who would benefit from our programs, please contact us at this website or at the phone number or through Gabriel or you may call me directly. And so, Peninsula Family Service is accessible through social media as well. So please keep in touch. And that is it for my presentation. Thank you for the opportunity to tell you about Peninsula family service, which is 75 years old this year. Thank you very much. If you have any questions, I'm here to answer. Thank you. Can we get a copy of the presentation? Because there was a lot of information and we just want to have a reference. Yes, of course. I think Marvin is ready to take care of that. Yes, Marvin. Yes, we will have a printout of these for you in your agenda or your minutes from this meeting. Thank you so much. Great information. You're welcome. Thank you for having me. All right. If no questions, thank you, Sherry for joining us. I know if you want to stay and hang on and listen to our other riveting topics, you can do that or you can log off and have a good evening. Thank you for having me. I do have another another Zoom coming up. So stay in touch. We'll do. Thank you. Good night. Great presentation. Thank you for that. That's a lot of information. And my suggestion is maybe after we get the the president, because I need to look at it visually, view it paper in hand. So how do we plan to incorporate this into, if we thought about it, getting information out to the seniors to let them know? Because this is also available but also like SAM trams. So just a suggestion. Next version. This might be some helpful resource information to have in the brochure. Staff is, thank you for that comment, Chair. Staff is actively working on a transportation, expanding the transportation program. And once we have finalized, we will be communicating that widely on its own. And so it's a very important topic that was brought up during the action plan. But yes, it will be widely distributed. Awesome. I think this is definitely some information we should in and in the brochures people know and we have it on just one location where they can have access to it. Good information. Thank you. It's very curious. Today I was at the Ispado Alto Senior Center and we were able to do the presentation that I had and this lady needed to share something that I said I'm going to help you out. I'm going to find out not right now and I went out after I just and I went to the Nuestra Casa and when I asked about transportation and about mental health and about medical and all that, she said, I have the flyers, the information she gave me, the application to give it to this lady. So, it was, now it's like, my goodness, she knew I was, you know, we were connected somehow. I went back, but the lady left, and I will go tomorrow to let her know but it was interesting just that happens today. So I just wanted to share that. Okay so let's move on to new business. Item B6B, the senior prime dates, and to form committees. So I do have potential dates, and I just want to put them out there, but we'll be able to decide. I did send an email to the four seasons about available dates. And we have to decide if we, it was with the senior problem last year and it seems to be, I don't know what in the past, like Friday night seemed to work out great and it was a great turnout. It's ironically all the Fridays are on hold at the, for September are on hold for somebody else. In September, so thank you Ms. Perly for pushing us in that direction as I get something on the books. So those all dates, all Fridays, except for September 5th, they are not available at the four seasons this year. However, they said that they have other companies that they have them on hold, but they will know pretty soon if those dates are available. But she did give me some dates, and I'll throw these dates out here, and we'll just have to think about it and decide, but we need to decide probably sooner than later because it looks like Things are booking up and didn't didn't realize that and the weekends are not busy for the four seasons They prefer if they will you know, we want to do city events or something that we do it on the weekends so She suggested The dates of nine five September 5th September 20th September 5th, September 20th, September 25th, October 3rd, or October 4th. So we can ponder on those and think about it, but we have to probably make a decision pretty quickly. quickly so they get hold it on the calendar for us. If we want to go into the fall, which is a fall event, I'm thinking maybe October 3rd at the latest. That's the next Friday after. It's not September, but it's the next Friday after. Unless you all want to do it on a Saturday. And my thoughts for a Saturday evening is that people, you know, go to church, they have other obligations on Sunday. So people might be pretty tired. But I would love to just have a discussion about that of what your thoughts are on a Friday or a Saturday. And what your thoughts are about that. You can get me feedback on that. Madam Chair, I feel that if we do it on a Saturday, we can also do it at an earlier time if people are concerned about their church obligations. Madam Chair, mine is on Friday. I would suggest Friday. And mine is the date was it's October the third. So they're just my idea. I'm easy. whenever we get the best audience who the most people available, that would be the hand probably want to go in. For me, October 3rd is out. I have a previous engagement. That's been on the calendar for several. Well, a couple of months already. So I won't be able to do the October 3rd. But Friday or Saturday, I'm open to. And if it's on a Saturday, I would agree, maybe a little bit earlier. And I think, because a lot of people get off work on Friday. And so trying to get ready for an event and then perhaps the traffic is a little heavier at the time so maybe Saturday might be but that's just those are my comments and I will double check my calendar because I don't want to overbook. Your thoughts, Mother Teresa? For me Fridays, I like Fridays. I think because we seniors don't work. So, we can wake up late. How do I party in the evening? and the 25th, the Friday and September 25th. September 25th is on a Thursday. Yeah, that's a Thursday. So they have Saturday, the 20th. On the 20th. And I think what Mrs. miss what miss ruf said i mean if if we can do it earlier on a saturday that's even 20 and and I and I think with Mrs. Mrs. with Mrs. Roof said I mean if if we can do it earlier on a Saturday that's even That's ideal to so I think it's something that we need to ponder we need to think about Flexible I really if you said we did that's fine. Okay, so let me let me just do a tally really fast and look at the dates and then we can vote on dates Friday or Saturday. Yes Madam chair would it be possible to do a monkey survey and put these dates down and let us take a look at them Easier than Hey survey monkey. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so okay. Who would we survey us? Okay, just us. Okay, so, okay. Who would we survey? Us? Okay, just us. Okay, let's commit. The only thing about putting off dates, everyone is in line doing things. And that's how we miss our mark on what we're doing. It's because of the fact that we have to have a lot of time. So I would suggest that we tackle this tonight. And just to see just exactly, you gave us a date, the ninth and a fifth. You gave us a ninth and a 20th and the night in the 20th, I think that's a is that a Friday? The night in the 10th? Okay, so I'm going to look to city staff. What's the best way to take a quickly and then we can try to decide on a date? Little to have the four seasons and they only have the September 5th date that's available, what are we trying to decide? If they are getting us the which was which threw me off, I thought it was September 5th, was the only date available right now that's open because the other dates in September were taken even though they were tentative. So if we put those three dates down, then we have those three dates and we're waiting. If we want to push into October and have those dates, then we're still waiting. But to wait and not have anything on the books is why like um it's right here said this is why we don't have a date. If we have a date on where we want to have it then that's what we need to do. If September 5th is what they have available then let's go with September 5th and if in a home ever it's not available to be there at that particular, then we just missed that particular problem. Everybody's not going to make everything. And so we need to stick with what we can get if we want the four seasons. Okay. Yes. Thank you. Chair member, Q Smith will have like several dates It was September let me just give the dates again so everyone can look it was September 5th September 20th September 25th Octoberrd, and October 4th. So, yes. So, November 5th, September 20th, September 25th, October 3rd, and October 4th. I would suggest, because I think September 5th, that might be Labor Day weekend. Or maybe it's not. It's not maybe. So let's just try to decide on a date with like Q said and Ms. Perly said if we can try to decide on a date. Look at our calendars and everybody we can just decide and vote on a date. 50th is Labor Day weekend, Okay. Okay. So can we just go through? Okay. Mark. Chair Labor Day September 1st. So the fifth is not Labor Day weekend. The weekend before is Labor Day weekend. Yes. Yes. Okay. So how how about we do this? Everybody go down. I'm going to take a right old school. Miss Ruth, what are the, can you, each person give me two dates in which that will work best for them and let's work on those work off of those dates. And here you can put it in the chat, which two days you suggest and we'll work from there. Miss Ruth, that first. Madam chair, I take the 20th that's on the Saturday and October 4th that's on a Saturday. Miss Donna. Or I can come back to you. problem is I don't have my calendar and so I can come back to you. My problem is I don't have my calendar. And so I can't tell you if I have something scheduled for the evening of those these dates because this is the first time we're discussing them. And I do support the fact that we need to put something on the calendar. But you can't just drop something at the night hour to say we got to make a decision tonight because we could always respond to your email. I've looked at my calendar. I agree. So if you want to do it tonight, we can go ahead. I probably won't participate because I don't have my calendar and so I could tell you tomorrow for sure. But not tonight. Okay. Okay. Through the chair. Staff will send out an email. If that's if you're okay with it, we'll send out an email tomorrow and we'll ask for responses by Friday. September or sorry Friday March 7th. And then if we do not receive those responses, we'll just move forward with what we have. Okay, cool. So, Ms. Perly, can you tell me which dates since I've already started that? Which dates will potentially work for you? Because we could eliminate a couple of days if people not have them anyway. The ninth is not a date. You mean the fifth? The fifth. That was a September 5th. Fifth and the ninth. Okay. Got it. So September. So September. Yes. So September 5th. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. September 9, 2020. 9-5, which is September 20th, and September 5th. Yes. Okay. Mother Teresa? Okay. Okay. Okay. September 9, 2020. September 9, 2020. September 9, 2020. September 9, 2020. September 9, 2020. September 9, 2020. September 9, 2020. September 9, 2020. 20th in September 5th. Yes. Okay. Mother Teresa. The fifth or the five and the 20. Both are Fridays. Okay. Ms. Donna Pending and Isaac, do you have a recommendation? September 5th is on a Friday. Okay. Yeah, so I just wanted to make sure I get my calendar first. No, I get lost. Okay, so you would say September 5th and what what one other option? I'll go with that whatever the group goes back. So I'll try to make myself available. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. So. Committee member Smith is in the chat and she has stated that she is open because it is not exclusively for her. She wants the seniors and the elders to choose the date where they can enjoy themselves at the available time and location. So she plans to be in assistance anyway possible. OK. Got it. OK. So you guys have those dates and will have those dates. But we will all send out an email with the confirmation of what people have already selected and then open it up to others who have not voted yet. So, Wotley, thank you all. So, do we want to form a senior advisory committee? And community members, they do want to, I would like to get additional community members involved if we can That seemed to have worked last year Through the chair. Yes, it would be a subcommittee with no more than two members from the senior advisory committee Tell them what the name since we have seven you have we have a total of eight I'll confirm the number but let's go with the two right now, but it could be three potentially. Okay, would anybody be interested in participating on that committee? The senior advisory out for the senior prom. My name on. so to Mother Teresa was okay. Okay. So Mother Teresa miss Rose eyes guess. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay now we'll note that you have interest of being at the, in the advisor. Just yeah. Yes. Just yeah. Just. Madam. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Just. Madam. Yes. I don't really understand the issue that's pending right now. I'm listening, but I don't get to. Okay. So what's happening now? We have to remember we've expanded the senior advisory committee to eight. So as far as being on the sub-form and sub-committees, only Mr. Baker said we could only have two Senior Advisory Committee members on that sub-committee. So since I was my, our question is since it's expanded, we should be able to have additional members on sub- so he needs to clarify that. Okay yes okay so here clarify that and the can we move forward on item 60 which is a senior interest survey so we have the survey so I think we email these and we talked about the surveys before I I think in another meeting. So what these are, we want to get singers interested in see what activities because people were saying last year like, okay, we didn't know or they don't, what activities they want to do or don't want to do. So these will be great if you can take the surveys yourself as well as your, if you know anyone, seniors and bring them back to Vincent and Marie's. So we can tally to see what activity seniors would like to do this summer. So Mother Teresa has been instrumental. She's gone by the senior center and she's been getting a lot of feedback for these. So it's really, information so that we can know we can do the things that senior wants to do the seniors want to do so Vincent created this and it's been really really helpful so I think everybody has a little stack. So if you could fill it out yourself. as well as have some seniors you know fill it out that would be simply awesome do you have the staff have any So, as well as have some seniors, you know, fill it out. That would be simply awesome. Do you have the staff have any comments on the senior interest survey? Other than I believe the goal is to hopefully receive all these by early April. That would be great. So it's March right now, March 5th. So if we could get them before the next April meeting, that would be helpful. Yes, you have a comment, Mother Teresa? Just, I hope we don't duplicate, because I've been working with the seniors in Melopark and also in Isbalo Alto. Both English and Spanish. I have more Spanish than English, but just for you to know that so you don't duplicate. Just show them the form and say, do you already sign it? Because we don't want to. That's good. Thank you. Madam Chair, and speaking to some of the seniors, they would like to see an event whereas like the health fair that we would have different speakers to come together to tell them about different things as far as health is concerned or as far as government opportunities are concerned. It's like the lady spoke about the rights and we have the other organizations, Sam Tran organization and other things that are interest to seniors like the senior health fair. That was not there't on there, but also it's a section like section three. Please write in any additional things that they would like to do. That's that would be really, really helpful. So if we could have have your friends or people that you know and just have them fill it out immediately and bring it back. That would be so because otherwise we don't get it back so it'll be real helpful. I'm up to research. She's been instrumental so we appreciate you. Thank you so much for doing that. Well, staff said by April so we do have some time and I don't I'm not really concerned about duplication because you have your circle. I have my circle. We all have our circles and there probably are some seniors that don't come out. So we need to outreach to those also. Thank you. And the seniors that I approach, the ones that they go go everyday to the mental park or the hospital. So those are the seniors. I just wanted to see that. Thank you. And also, thank you for that. And we're going to move on to try to speed this up a bit because we're running a tad late goals for 2025. I have put some thoughts to this, but since we got the age-friendly action plan, can we just table that to the next meeting? Because I want people, if you guys could go through this and just highlight different things, just come up with three different items that we want to set goals, that we marks that want to meet this year because I think it's important that we continue to march forward. And this is this was this looks great. I see a lot of pictures in here. This is good, but I think we need to look at it and really pick out maybe to the top three things that we want to work on for this year. And if we can just kind of table that for next time if that's okay. So if everybody at the next committee, if we could just bring three items that we would like to see goals for 2025 and then we could all put those together and come up with the top priorities. Thank you. So seven committee reports, we don't have that. Eight staff reports and the cafe action plan on aging. Correct. Yes, just to frame just an update on the age friendly action plan. It was submitted to ARP for approval following the February 18th council meeting where council, you know, mentioned to staff that they would like to approve this action plan. And once we receive approval from ARP, then we can discuss if we may bring this as Chair Hill is saying, bringing this item back will probably be best because then we can discuss a marketing strategy to make sure this plan is widely known throughout the community. I agree. Thank you. Any other, I think was that I just lost my gender that quick. Sorry. Sorry. What's that meow? Where's my jam? I thought that just look, pack up my little items. Guess we just ran, just we just ran. Oh, I let me snoo I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Whatever we do, you know, share and show. and it is two EPA's, the City of EPA community. However, we do share and show love to the Bell Haven community which do mother through a committee member Fernandez that they have received some document or some promotion of with that. Okay and to piggyback on that to be to clarify to you is that some of the seniors go East Palo Alto seniors go to Menlo Park as well as East Palo Alto. So we're trying to just tap into everybody. I'll make the motion to a adjourn a meeting. adjourned. I'm sure I check in motion. Yeah, thank you. The giant. Maurice. I'm sure I second motion. Yeah, thank you. The giant. Maurice. It was very interesting and I'm just sharing from my perspective. Oh, okay. The time is 725 and the meeting is adjourned. Thank you. Can we talk now? Okay.
