The board raised questions about electric vehicle charging stations, solar tie-ins, and wildfire mitigation measures. The board debated a request from Frazier Valley Distilling to increase its 2024 Business Enhancement Grant from $7,500 to $25,000 for a permanent awning and potential heaters for outdoor seating. Concerns were raised about prioritizing equitable distribution of funds. The decision was tabled until after the March 3rd application deadline to assess other applicants. The board approved an amended final plan for a 103 room hotel in the rendezvous's plan development district, with minor adjustments to parking and building height. A share parking agreement with citywide bank and enhanced bus stop plans were highlights of the discussion. Grand Parks West Mountains submitted a final plan and final plan development plan, which included the addition of seven residential lots. The board approved the filing with conditions. The board also reviewed a repayment plan for $830,000 owed to rendezvous for water tap credits, ensuring a balanced impact on town funds. The town addressed questions regarding limited phase construction approvals at the St. Louis Landing Development. Town manager Michael Brack explained that construction of underground utilities was authorized under the town code, which permits phased approval for specific construction components like foundations or utilities. He emphasized that all proper safeguards, securities, and plans were in place before work commenced, with close collaboration between the towns, engineering, and utilities teams.
