Before my time is taken away I just like to say how proud we are of these three young leaders who have stepped up and stepped forward to do what I think or what we believe is hard, right? This is hard stuff and we're so proud of them and we're saving the best for last, the Ojina of the three. Her dad is an educator. He's an administrator today. He was my math teacher in high school. He's now my daughter's principal at her elementary. You know, this is a full circle community. I believe that. And Vihiva Alani Kaparo is just one example. Vihiva, if you could please take a moment to introduce yourself. I'm Mahalo Nui. Aloha, my name is Viva Alani Kaparel and I come from District 3 and I live in Hilo, more specifically by Kauka. I'm a sophomore here at Kamehameha Schools and I am really honored to serve on the Hawaii County Youth Commission and for me this Kuleana is about ensuring that youth voices are heard in decisions that shape our future. And I also look forward to advocating for education, cultural preservation and sustainability to make a positive impact on our island and our county. Mahalo. Thank you so much, Commissioner Caparo.
