Now, they're called the meetings order and you could roll call in the introduction of guests. Yes. We're going to see. Okay. So at least same here and Robert the other here. Erin Klein here. There my great here. Yes, you have a good. It's not the future. It's not just. She just want to. Yes, sorry. I have a nice, just sorry about that. And well, it's a steep more program. And it's telling me, it's going to be for people painting and things. And she's, yeah, I accept her. Oh, okay. Hi, I'm the one trying to figure out my number. Do such a thing. I need to move. Okay. I move that the Library Board of Trustees approve electronic participation by Ms. Janet Johnson. in tonight's meeting for personal reasons, pursuant to the Library Board of Trustees and policy and participation in meetings through electronic meetings. Thank you. All in favor? Excellent. Hi, Janet. Hi, Janice. Hello. Thank you. Sorry. I'm moving around ask them. Hi, Janice. Hi, Janice. Hello, thank you. Sorry, I'm moving around a little bit. I'm going to make this work. Okay. Hi, Janice. Hello, everyone. Okay. So a little Mr. Rums. It's not a closed session, but we can do the introduction. Yes, yes. Yeah. Okay, um, at least I'm the chair of the library board. Good to see you again. Finally. I'm Robert Rebel. Let's see what the student was asking. Jackie will be here. Aaron Klein. I'm glad we're clear. I'm the vice chair. Thank you. Janice do you want to just ensure with the program? Sure I'm Janice Johnson I'm a bullet memory. I may any Morgan I'm the chair of the library foundation. I'm Y Shield City Manager for the City Falls Church. I'm Janice Carroll manager for the city of false church. I'm Danny Carroll and the deputy city manager of internal operations. I'm Megan Duffler. I'm the incoming library director. Welcome. Welcome. So, did you? I really all I wanted to say was welcome Megan where I did to start working with you and. Is there anybody? I didn't prepare remarks so that's a bad. So, Jenny and I do. Surprise. Jenny and I do surprise. So if I may please tell us. So we are really excited to introduce Megan Dotsler to the Library Board first. And we'll introduce Megan to the entire library staff tomorrow morning at about 8.45. And we've already made introductions with Megan and Marshall last week and then Megan with Marshall and the management team for the library last week. And so we're building relationships right now as we speak and I think we're all to a really great start. I wanna say just a few things. We had a great interview panel and Elise and Robert served and provided Jenny and I was there with them and their insights along with two department directors and outside library director and Jenny was also on the panel. And some of the things they noted about Megan was, of course, her competency, she is a library person through and through. And, you know, obviously with the dual master's degree in this profession and a great track record as a assistant director and acting Massachusetts branch director in Arlington County and currently the head of youth services at Arlington Central. She has great energy, she has great initiative, she cares about people first and this is a library that values people first. And so we just felt like this was a great fit. And as we've got to know Megan more, we feel more and more that way. So that is just a few comments that I wanted to make. We're looking forward to the next steps in this process and the first day that she will afford to look here and say we'll be on October 7th. Jenny, I know you have some thoughts you wanted to share with the library and the board and then we can maybe turn it over to makes. Yeah, that's a nice one. I think upfront a note of gratitude to the library board and to staff. I know this was the actual process itself. We actually from posting to filling the position was actually under 60 days. The road to getting it was the year. So I want to think the lead report and staff for their patients, their grace, and giving trust to the process and everything that was involved. When the process was in my hands and went slowly, my was turned into Jenny's hand and accelerated that. So I'm curious. I will say it was a rigorous process. We had 22 applicants and had five candidates for the interview process itself, including an international candidate. So, so is, and why I mentioned the board, the panel composition as well. So it was a very rigorous process. So, and we wound up with, we are not wound Cheno, Megan, to just hit on a little bit more in terms of gratitude. Thank you to Marshall. He's not going to like this. I know who never wavered in accepting the acting rule. And he's always been a support and an anchor for the library. So, and I am also personally grateful to Masha. Pete Sullivan, who stepped in as our adult services acting supervisor, as well, he also took on the challenge, both of them took on that challenge. And I want to thank them both for being willing to try something new, not in their comfort zone and stepping in when we when we needed it. I actually feel like that's the spirit of all of our staff because certainly the adult services staff, you know, Beth, Catherine, Lori, older, I get everybody. Right. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So we were short staff for a year and they filled in the gaps. Saying with our circulation staff, they took on additional hours, temporary hours to provide some relief to the pressure and that was Julie cut Kathy, Metta, Paul, and Wella, all pitched in to help. And also to our management team, my library management team, Jess, Belette, Claudia, Rachel, to start and then Marshall went into acting. But Lisa, who else did I miss? I mean, who also were very supportive with all the changes and the transitions that I've had to go through the past year. So a big thank you to Stagg and for it as well. So Megan, we provided her resume and her bio to everybody, so you have a chance and why it already mentions her background. I will also say that I was impressed with her commitment and passion for early berries and also one of her references noted that her superpower is staff support. So of course that spoke to me personally as well. And I believe she is the person to continue to move the library forward. And the momentum that we've built over the last 10 years to keep that moving forward and pushes into ever-expanding innovations and new things for the library for the community and for staff. So thank you. Thank you. I just, you said so many nice things about me now. I think about you guys. Let's go ahead and have a meeting, right? I'm Megan Dotsler. I am so excited to be working with all of you. I have been working in Arlington for about two and a half years. And I've lived here for about two and a half years, but before that I was the assistant director in a community that felt very similar to City of Falls Church. And that's what really attracted me to this position as well as I live right on the road in Arlington. But my husband and I come hang out in City of Falls Church and every time we're here we are struck by the sense of community that has a, it's able to have told a sense of community while still having a lot of really great amenities. So when this opened up, I was like, ooh, it looks like such a fun place. And then a question that I always ask in every interview I've ever done is, what do you, what do you know about your community, what makes it special? And really struck with um, Alisa's and Roberts and uh, Jenny and everybody's answers uh, that I was right in my feeling that this is a this is a, uh, a city that has a strong sense of community and also trustee is that really care about staff and about the library and the well being of the community. I was really lucky to work closely with my trustees in actin, especially as my time as acting director. They were really supportive and really caring for me, for my position and also as a person, and then especially for my staff, which I really supported because I'm just a fun person. I had a large staff during the pandemic, and the trustees really supported the people that we were responsible for. And I loved that partnership and I look forward to joining that with all of you. That's mostly it. Unless anyone has any questions when you write off the bat, I'm excited to meet staff tomorrow. That's gonna be great. I love that there's a staff day. I love that there's a picnic. Or that's not great. I love that there's a staff day. I love that there's a picnic. That's great. Yeah. And you're all invited to come. I'm sure officially board members are invited, but now they are. Too late. They're picnic on it. Too dangerous. Yeah. Well, that's a big next. That's very exciting. Yeah. All the basics. That's the way you can. Yeah. Not a 10-minute question. It's pretty quick. Yeah. That's really fun. But that also shows right that it's a supportive of staff. And I can tell what people love to work here is that as you said, every level, there's a great support for staff and really to staff is what makes the library feel like home to a community great. So just grateful to do working with that and excited to work with you to keep that going. Well, I'll say again, welcome. We're excited to work with you and you know we we are in town here obviously so what we hear from our neighbors is how great we hear how great this staff is and we know that the library this year didn't miss a deep marshal that's that's on you and the team I didn't drive the Ferrari off the cliff. Say that. You know, I better than that. But we can't, I constantly hear, I'm sure video all this does, you know, what a warm and warm place this is, what a great place it is. And you know, my phrases we bat way above our, you know, our size, but that's what people say. I just met somebody in the grocery store today who said, oh, the library, I've been there. So, but she moved. Yeah, look at that. So I agree, welcome and we're here to support you in any way that you can. Thank you. Little city big readers, right? That's great. Should we carry on or are we? And I'll just mention. I mean, Jenny are going to meet on Monday and management team. We've already been talking and we're going to do everything we can to make sure they can get to smooth the landing when she starts on the set and to help her get her footing. That's a great thing. That's a big quick. We're anxious to work together. So. Okay. So was there is everybody staying or how are we doing this today? Just signing on. Oh, keep going. We are probably the next. I think I'm going to post it out. There's a few things. I think it's a few things. Yeah. I see. I see. It's just got an early margin, except. Sure. I'll be the other thing. Thank you. Yeah. I'll be the other thing. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye. Thank you. Thank you. And I know I'll regret this, but it'll hopefully be a pretty quick meeting. Favorite last words, but we both of what we will be reviewing, we already looked at it so it would be fast and the only other item on the agenda is really just discontinuing something that is redundant. Okay. So we don't even have short remarks for the report. Shouldn't we do that? We don't have to return an open session because we were in a procession. So I crossed it off the agenda. Any petitions that you know? I'm wondering if they're all going into a spam folder or something. There you go. I have not seen anything. Okay. Okay. That was easy. Approval of the previous meetings and minutes. Did anyone have any corrections, comments, concerns, I don't know. I think I get a motion to approve. I'm not sure you approve the minutes. Oh, sorry. Second. We have a second. Okay. I do have a motion. I was not able to attend the meeting in August, but I tried to watch it online and I kind of couldn't find it. It was, I went down the route for a site and I was unable to find it. So, you're going to find them in a minute? No, the actual video comes in handy. Oh, yeah. It may take a little bit longer to go to Cal sooner. So, yeah, it may take a little bit time to go to the house soon. So true. Yeah. If you have any, if you have any, I know that in a week, within a week of after the meeting. What I actually want to do. Because they were preparing the city clerk for what's preparing for a meeting that they have yesterday. And they were a lot of things going on. They took a little while more for them to post the meeting. Got you. But you normally find it okay or it's a little convolut when you get in there. Another instance last year where I was absent in summer as well and I couldn't find it. So it was like on jerk. Yeah, there's a weird kind of arcades. And then it had like the minutes, but it didn't have the video. the It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a It's a way it says reporting of past meetings. And if you click on that, it'll take you to the city site. And then it is a little confusing because you do have to go down to city webcasts, which is on the bottom. And then it'll have the different boards and commissions and there'll be a video for whatever the most recent meeting use. And I can even add to the library board, the LVOT page. Just I don't know if I stated that on there, but I can make it a little clearer. I think it's once on the page, scroll down to archive meetings, choose a year, then choose city webcasts. Okay. Yeah, and sometimes I don't upload it. I mean, I can send it to the city clerk right away, like Friday or Monday. Sometimes it takes because I'm doing all the things. Okay. I try to do as fast as I can, but I didn't maybe one day after the meeting, it's done and then it took a little while for them to upload it. So this is really not me up, but the answer I think is if we can't find it. Well, I'm yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, no, I can't find it. Well, I just got the book. Yeah, no, I can't hand it. And, surely, this is really helpful if we can't find it. It's not easy to navigate. Yeah, that's a grandchip. Yeah. But I will try to do it as fast as I can. I'll want to. Oh, I've got a bright own worries. I just, yeah. We also could, you know, think about posting the link or sending an email out to single links available for anybody. Yeah, and I can always help you if you cannot find anything. You can just call me or will march out of course, and you'll have a direct or both. I'll see you find whatever you think. Yeah. So, um, don't that adaption of updated policies for electronic practice, pages of all virtual media. Thank you again. Aaron for her sanity last week. And this putting a full stop. So they did send out their final draft, which is literally just a template. And you put it in the board's name. So it's the same for every single board and commission. And I sent that out. I also provided the notes in the packet email that I sent out. I don't know if you all saw that with the sort of executive summary from the clerk of the change. And so hopefully everything given the conversation we had last month and the notes that the clerk provided in the highlighted sections, it should be pretty straightforward and if no one has questions we can just adopt those two policies and then I'll swap them on a website. We'll follow them going forward. So is that okay? It's fine if people have questions, but anyone? Oh, it's good. I'm good. Okay. So you just want to do each one, like a motion for each one to adopt. First the remote and then the whole virtual. I am scared. Yeah. Yeah. So let's do the remote. Just any can I get a motion to approve that? Okay. I am remote. Oh, I'm sorry. Did you have some questions? I'm sorry, Jen. No, I was going to second. Oh, okay. There we go. Okay. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, we haven't adopted the new policy yet. So in the future, your face will have to be available. Although if you're on a phone, you can't be. So yes, are you on a phone or are you on something where you can have your face? I'm on the phone, but I can see my face. I can see on it. But you can't show your face. Oh, okay. So let me stay on, but I'll also see if I can see my face. I can see all of this. So you can't show your face. Oh, okay. So let me, I'll stay on, but I'll also see if I can change over. Oh, you don't need to. I think you're okay. Yeah. All in there. So Jenny second. Yes. Yes. I guess you're in favor. Yes. I'm in favor. Yes, yes. Okay. Just making sure. Thank you. Yes. Okay. And then moving on to the policy for all virtual participation in public meetings policy. Do anyone have any questions or comments about that? Janice, any questions or comments? None. I don't have any. All right. Can I get a motion to approve this policy? Yes, you can. I don't see. Okay. All in favor? Hi. Hi. Thank you, Janice. Okay. So we're good there. Okay, and so that's so we're now because of that, Marshall, we're discarding the separate library. Well, so now the third that was one item. Okay, two items. So this is the next item, which is our existing library board policy which was passed up in 2002 and speaking with Jenny before Jenny left and subsequently it's redundant policy. Everything in here is lifted from either the bylaws or the codes. So we figured why I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Correct. But does anyone have any comments questions? Discussion? Janice, I thought something. I don't have any. I'll go. I have none. Okay. And we did discuss this. I believe it our last meeting. So. Yeah, I have none. Okay, and we did discuss this. I believe in our last meeting. So yeah, it's come up a couple of times. I think I've even said that we were just waiting till the business meeting to pull the trigger. Right. When we looked at the by-law, so everybody feels like everything's covered. So I think we're in a good position. Okay. Can I give a motion to approve discarding the separate library board policy? I'm saying I'm already. Hi. Hi. Okay. Yeah. So. Just. Just. Just. This is just the same thing. I was wondering if you heard it. Year over year there are increases. We had a second straight month of. Over 17,000 visits. In fact, it was pushing me 18,000 last month. And we had an increase again in year over year. Circulation and July and August tend to be the biggest months, but it was still a bump. And we had a good bump in ebos, which we hadn't seen in a while. So all in all, I think it was nice. And the overall collection size went up in part because we added more magazine records. But we're right. So pretty straightforward, I think. How days and closures, so we're going to be closed all day tomorrow, which, uh, Jenny and Ryan mentioned that we're having a meeting during which, you know, two half days and we'll use the time from three to five to focus on some work that we can't normally do while we're open finishing up a little shifting and some other areas cleaning some toys in the service area. And then we'll also be closed Monday, October 14th for Indigenous Peoples. Some upcoming programs. Our book sale is Friday the 27th through Monday the 30th. We have an author of talk with Mike Richmond for his biography George Callan of Football Life on the 28th Saturday on the 5th, which is also a Saturday. We have another author talk with Bard's Alley, Henry Wise for his novel, Fully City. On Sunday the 6th, they're trying a Sunday working for adults, because it's been so popular on Mondays, they're gonna have an extended one on Sunday. That's also with the Modern Virginia Board Game Group. On the 7th, a crafty cafe, a recycled CD arc for little school and teens. And then on Saturday, that's 12. Cheryl Adams, who for three some years worked for the Library of Congress in the Refuge Department. She's presenting for our second time, because it was so popular with first using the Library of Congress. So she just kind of goes through the resources that are available to the public to make them aware. And then building updates, we finally got the RTEU installed. It was pretty painless to them about two and a half days to get everything done, but it seems to be working well. So we're very happy about that. And they tried to replace the motors on those doors, and then they were the wrong size to fit the casing. So the DPW's been pushing them, and they told us they hoped to have them Friday for installation on Monday. So we'll see that finally gets resolved. And then looking ahead, well October 16th is the next meeting and Megan's going to set the agenda so he will see what she proposed. That's it. Told you a short. That's fast. Any follow on the library scale at all stretch festival again, I'll just everybody for not seeing you this weekend. That will not take you know. Well, I wanted to thank all of you who were in town and able to to volunteer and I know the staff really appreciated having you there, especially when they were hunched over computer. Hi, I agree. They did register. They were encouraged and others had expired, but they just confirmed information. So that was really productive, especially given that it's national library sentiment. But they also got a fairist message for people who registered in the certificate. For, we've had great response about that. And a lot of people just staying longer. I mean, they would have left it for and now they don't have to get up on their table or close their vote. So I felt like there were some of the questions I wrote down and you may have some rough questions to but people were one person who was really excited about the memory lab, as we, uh, was, uh, slot-up. I can't help but really excited about that. Um, we had people asking do older hard still work and, I mean, it's, it's depends. A lot of questions about upcoming programming, somebody about our bookmarks. Uh, they were, um, lump-in-puse. I think they might have been thinking of, uh, Fairfax Library because they say you have this whole series of bookmarks and it's not of us new. But it was a good idea so we might look into that book clubs, questions about book clubs, questions about taking donations and I guess somebody asked about digital house for TVs which works for a canopy but we don't have camp. But I don't know how you all while you were there. And thank you for stepping out for a second hours. This is so much love and library. It's a really valuable view. Love it. I'm happy that people from the library. It's, yeah. We had some people come to me. So some people, I had some people come who I just moved to the area and decided they'd be still like, or at OAD's name were so pumped about getting that great. That was really dearie. So I thought like, yeah, and the step makes it really easy for people to come to you. Just move just like, well, just about an email. Yeah, it was obviously, you know, yeah, yeah, flexible. Yeah. You'll have the rest of the foundation for shares. Well, I stole some from the display. Yeah, we'll put them back up. They might have been asking me if some took. OK, well, I'll find out. I'll check with the for the. That's what we did have a sign. I made a sign and I said to you to support the library and had your logo and he worked those and then I pulled some from the display but they might have lost in translation but we'll track them down and make sure yeah so we'll look for those but we tried to tell people fear. And they think they were living it. So yeah, I agree. I mean, I feel like 80% of this just being present and people love seeing that we're there and sharing their love for the library. So. And how did the author talk? Oh, it went really well. They had 48 people registered and 48 attended. Some people came unexpectedly so it ended up evening out and Bard's alley was there to sell some books and everyone said that she was wonderful and apparently the warning program was great too and talking a little bit to some of the welcome and false church. They were very complimentary and appreciative but we we were I said to them this is the closest we've ever come to a community needs and I think they'd like to build on that and maybe get started earlier and maybe something I told them they may want to talk to you too since the education foundation is participating and I said I love seeing anytime you see an event, fire, and it's got multiple community organization logos. The more you can get on there, the better because really creating connections in a way that we haven't always had. So I'm hoping that this could be a way of creating more of a community read where everybody's encouraged to read one book and we made it available. We made the ebook and the ebook available for the week before or anyone to download with no ways. We didn't want to do it too far in advance because we didn't want to impinge on folks. So I think there's an opportunity for this to maybe grow and it'll be fun to see what they do. It was really nice and they were very hopeful. Okay. That nicely kind of leads right to foundation and liaison reports. And yeah. I go. I mean, Aaron was there. There were a lot of people. I went really well. We had a good amount of volunteers. everybody who signed up to volunteer came. And it seemed like it was better attended than last year. So I mean, it would be like kind of below our because it was a nice schedule last year. But yeah, we don't know how much we made yet, but hopefully we found out this week. Yeah, and Danny Schulte, the rep in the parks director said that he thinks this is the highest attended and diseased false search festival he never had. Yeah, someone told me he was an emotional tenient events. Oh yeah. There's social media interaction for this. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I have friends like, I was angry at them. Yeah. So I'm gonna play. I was like, I'm gonna do it. I know that. I know that. I know that. I know that. She's wonderful. Yeah, she was one of the people that was on the the interview panel and I'm like she's sharp. She's so sharp and she has a lot of great ideas. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Can I know one thing? I walked over there. You worked much harder than me. You were busy. I told them my husband and my dad were also there all day with me. And my soulmate's there just weren't there. My mom's on babysitting duty, but we didn't run out of beer. Yeah. Which was the thing that they were a little bit worried about. I don't know if you should have said that. But, um, yeah. That's great. Something really good to hear it. Well, the, the weather also felt. Yeah. You know, festivals, you know, green. That. And you started was just beautiful. So that don't have a shade after. Yeah. Okay. Okay. We don't have. Well, was that only the best? No, sorry. We had a selection. So I've been acting as a intern chair. And how like officially. The chair. Congratulations. We also have grown report by three more people, which is great. And now that the ball festival is over, we're going to start our annual campaign process. We'll officially start in December, right? Everything's going, but we're going to be working on drafting a letter to send out with our mailers and we're going to be working on going to the printers and figuring out all the logistics without only my first time working on this and capacity, but I've got some awesome people helping me out. So, you're good. It's an energetic crew that's joined the Foundation board. So, we have two people who are actually volunteer to the Black really? Yeah, Bill Dobit. I think that's how. And yeah, I know that he does like. There's a lot of scanning. Scanning. And then Karen, I don't know what she's, she's volunteering. I'm not sure, but she's, she's been, she suggested lots of things. Yeah, and then Catherine Quarmer. I think she's not shelving her song. She was key in the whole inventory. And she's helping with magazine process. I lost the artist. She's really nice. She is really nice. She also brought a friend to the festival. I'm hoping that that's perfect. Thank you. So that's great. Congratulations. Thank you. And the Delong Award to you, on behalf of the community. Yeah. So we've got 13 submissions, which is like nine more than five. So that was awesome. And our next meeting, which is going to be. The 21st. Yeah, we have to. Do it a little later on October. The indigenous people say. Marshall is going to help us pick the recipient. So because Megan's so new, I said, I'd be happy to come with Megan to the meeting. And I can just contextualize any of the automation. Giving of the award on schedule, during the Sunni Council meeting early December, I think it's this. Yeah, I can't remember the seventh or ninth it's they have one meeting in December so um the clerk put us on the agenda. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You guys can see. It's January. So. Perfect. Um, did Marshall, do we have any other? Well, Kathleen, it's ice the vice chair sent me an email. Very kind. And she said the school year. Is also a great start. We had a very smooth start to the school year and each week. The case is picking up two main topics of interest to share the school board is focusing on student use of technology both personal devices in school issue devices throughout this fall. We've had several public discussions regarding the use of cell phones at the high school. Sounds familiar, I'm going to state. And our planning several community engagement events in October as we worked towards passing a new policy governing personal device this winter. Dr. Nune announced his retirement at the end of the school year. He will have served the school for nine very eventful years, which included building a brand new high school on time and under budget, shepherding the district through the pandemic and leading the division as it enters into its first collective bargaining agreement. We are immensely grateful for his service and look forward to celebrating his many accomplishments. We plan to have the successor named by the spring for a smooth transition next slide. And then I replied this afternoon to her just saying that we were meeting the new director and then there would probably be a press release in the next day or two and I would port that to her. Thank you. director and then there would probably be a press release in the next day or two and I would support that to her. Question the job, this student who was going to join us in that. Oh, so no, we're not going to get anybody this year, but part of that is because when we inquired, which was well after they were not to tell us about the time to inquire, you know, about so we're now on the radar. We will be alerted when it's time to provide something to say, you know, it's a really exciting opportunity as opposed to live or apparently as but yeah it sounds like there were students who expressed great interest in serving on the board so we did ask if there was anything we could do right to generate interest so I'm hoping that I'm still working with. Hopefully, yeah. So Phil, get to us with the call. Yeah. Yeah. And we can put something together. And we'll work with Megan and the team to find, decide anything that they think would be useful. And we can decide when we can't compete. So probably later this fall, this could be us. Jesse, did you have for the art from the awards of the agencies? Yeah. So there was no meeting in August and the summer was wild. I was unable to attend the meeting in July due to travel. So but throughout all the emails and everything in the next meeting is tomorrow. The SWF at University of Records continue. There will be a welcome sign at City Hall with 19 translations of the word welcome. That is being reviewed with the Arts and Communities Council. Again, I'll get more of an update on that tomorrow. There's two projects going within also at City Hall. In City Chambers is Chamber Park, which they had an RLQ for, they received the RLQ, received submissions, and then they decided to change their what they were looking for. So they're kind of pivoting on what they're looking for with that. So again, I'll be provided with enough data tomorrow. Utility boxes, they had the ribbon cutting in August. And I'm just sure you guys have seen them around. False Church. There is a new website, a tourism website. Well, visit falsechurch.com and it's fabulous. I can send all these, I have an email about the world inside and I have an email about the tourism website. I can forward them to you. You guys are on the front of the screen. And the website is fabulous. There is another sculpture project going on at West Falls. This is over by the Secondary campus, in the comments and it's called The Great Potential. I have not seen a picture of it yet. I'm sure I'm old tomorrow, but it's three eight forms in a cluster arrangement. And then the other final project of my knowledge right now are the storm drains that were painted on Maple Avenue. I believe it was three or four storm drains that were painted by citizens of all Turkish and they are completed. I'm sorry I'm sorry. I'm going to add that I did. I saw those storm drains and oh my god, they were dynamic. They really were. And I didn't know who did that, but the fact that I think you're saying that it was by private citizens. It's beautiful work. It was, I know. I think it was Leading Hardy who facilitated the project and then it was talked about within arts and humanities. So it was, I don't know who, I mean, they were like neighbors of mine who painted them. So, but I don't know the exact process of how I was. It may be an option. There's a crossbox that they did. So how do they get? Yeah. Okay. Thank you. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. the library is a library there or is that something that has to be done or did I miss it? Last one you said after City Tourism site. Oh. You asked the library. You're included on it? Yes, that's what I'm asking. Okay, I don't know the answer but I can find that out and if not suggest it because I know the reviewing is a work in progress and plan to keep updating it so So I can look and see. Yes, the, um, the lot I'm looking at my email right now. In the last focus on false church newsletter that came out on September 12th. That was the headline, the new tourist website. So I can check it out there too and and see if the library was included. Yeah. But it's not, I can send it to, um, the CPEDS director is from the team we're seeing in. DDA so. Yes, that's a good. Good question. Thank you. Good question. Okay, I think that's so equity. Yes, yes. I was going to mention those false church, a welcoming false church event, but we already talked about that. And we have a new ESO conversation group starting. So our volunteers kind of shut that down because just was a lot of work and they're having trouble maintaining it. So Pete Sullivan reached out to the English Empowerment Center, formerly the literacy council of Virginia, and we've contracted with them to do a 12 week course. So it'll be 12 successive Tuesday evenings and it's open to anyone. It's a little more structure. So we're going to see how that goes. And if it's successful, then we'll try to do it again in the spring and maintain a relationship with them. So that's exciting. And we also have a Medicare 101 course on Tuesday, October 8, which is with Fairfax County. And they they've been coming in the last few years and just giving the presentation. So that's all yet. Well, we hear something that's not on the agenda. I had to do business item before. Sorry, I don't have multiple items. We have multiple high-port items that are on the agenda. But through my board, no of a board came from connections. They have asked if the library would be interested in receiving board game donations in the form of, I guess, on two levels. One, if the library wants to try having a borrowing board game, some more to central. I know we have. I know this is come up earlier. Yeah, I know it takes some of it. But also if I know obviously you can donate books for to put up for sale for the book sale, but if we don't want them, would that be another spot to that they could potentially get? So to prompt question and we could I would say email me. but if we don't want them, would that be another spot to that they could potentially go? So two-prong question. And we could, I would say email me. Okay. We do circulate as I think I'm going to say. We don't circulate, but you can check out in the libraries and stairs for kids to borrow. But it has come up a couple times. And I think we could talk to Boleh just about whether that's something that could be incorporated into the book sale and if in the past we've had success. We could also just pilot it, see, you can never know. And with a lot of new initiatives, I've been sort of waiting till mating gets her footing kind of before committing to anything. But if you send me an email, we can add a certain list because I don't think it's a bad idea. It's just about space. But we're also trying to do some shifting that might open up some space. So that could be something to fill. So I'm sure they're the interest. So yeah, if you would email me. Yeah. And just mention it in both of those. Yes. Then I'll push it along. Okay. Any other business not on the agenda. Besides business we have. Do we have anything from Mary that. Oh, so no, Mary Beth just said that she could make it and I'm sure she would have plenty but yeah I was talking to you, Marshall, as a thank you. Okay. Is it an adult services supervisor job? It's a thank you for, well, you've done the last. That was really unnecessary. No, it was absolutely necessary. But yes, it's everything. It's absolutely right. And anyway, it would be better if you didn't lose the small. OK. Yeah. Well, that is very kind of you. And I will say that, as Jenny noted, definitely is something that pushed me out of my comfort zone, which is a good thing. But I'm happy to go back into my comfort zone. And but not be too comfortable. But I would not have been able to do it if you all hadn't been so supportive and patient. I was kind of like the new teacher reading the chapter of the Navy for the lesson. And if Claudia hadn't been there to keep me held up in the management team and the entire, I don't know if you, if you noticed, you may have almost the entire one. You could have just named every staff member. So it's been an adventure and I've been so impressed by Megan the few times that better. I mean you all made the right choice and I think After the whole staff The Tomorrow they're really tight I'm Her guidance so and she really stressed which probably came out in the interviews when she's really about supporting staff and building relationships among staff members with the city leadership with the community. So I think it's an inspired choice and really, really exciting. She was very clear about that, but she talked about about how she handled things during the pandemic really. It would have fit really nicely here. Listen, if I had been on the panel on the other side, if I were to protect her, that was good. So, yeah, well, what this is, I got a translation for this, this is the thank you product. Oh, I appreciate it, and I'm not doing it as a. I just always said that I just want to be feeling clear. It's self-deprecating humor. It's a win-win and a win too because we still have Jenny sort of there. I mean, Jenny's doing her thing and beads a director who's not making her do the job. But then we have a different perspective with somebody with some pressure. Yeah. Go ahead, Janice. And I interrupt. I'm sorry, I wanted to interrupt your self-deprecation there. And just say, you know, I think from my side of it, and I think Elise was there with me too, in terms of like when Jenny left, all of us were like new. So you stepping in and like carrying the torch and taking care of business. If you were terrified, I didn't notice it. You let us well and I appreciate it. Well, I'm glad. I hide it well. So you did well and I appreciate you. Well, thank you. And it really has been a wonderful experience. And Jenny, when they excited about what's to come. And this is a great place to work. I think it's just gonna keep thing that better. So yes, but you, that's really sweet. Thank you. And look how short today's meeting is. That's my final gift to you. Oh, my God. that's really sweet. Thank you. Thank you. And look how short today's beatings that's my final hit to you I knew record. Yeah, what a way to go out. I know Just in the ceremony away. Can you move that via journey? Am I allowed to? I don't think so. We will tell you. I like to move. I can I get a motion. To adjourn the shortest meeting. On record. Memory. I'll make a motion to adjourn the shortest meeting. Lisa. There you go. All they were. Hi. Hi. Hi. And Janice. Okay. Thanks Janice. So she's unanimous. Yeah. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi Janice. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah.
