Resolution 20. 24 dash 68 with a correction to section 4.7. the commission. Mr. Hatt. Mr. Wood, all in favor. Thank you. Mr. Leon. Mr. Denny George. Mr. Chairman, in commission, we wanted to just take a quick moment to brief you on something that's a required step for Mr. Scott on the LMS team. When we went through Adolfo last year and in Debbie most recently, if you look at those outage maps, they're exactly the same. The damage inside the polygons were a little less in this storm. But nonetheless, we keep going back to some of the same areas. So obviously, when we're in Newarkshire County, we're going to our Vs or Lases, Sun Springs 1 if we're in Dixie County, we're obviously going to the old town hammock in the Dixie area. So we selected 10 circuits that we're going to try to cleverly underground as a way to try to at least reduce some of the exposures going forward. There's a great grant coming up. It's the submission for the notice of intent is the end of this month, so this meeting was pretty critical tonight. It is a 25% match grant, but we will do the matching part. So there's no requirements on the county's basis for cash flow. It just has to be a part of Mr. Scott and his team's list of things that are being done in the county. So I don't know what else you need, but I'll answer any questions at this time. It's a total of about 14.9 million dollars worth of total infrastructure work. Again 75% of that would be covered by the grant. Okay, got a help for assistance. Talk about the hammock, for sure. We certainly support her. A lot. Yeah. Okay, do we? Scott, do you need anything more than that? You want to bring that in front of the board so if they have any questions, you can answer for them. So that's all. I don't even resolution or anything on it. The DMS will take care of all that. I just want to y'all to know that they brought that up on that side. Okay. Because if they're being at 25% match, even though that they mentioned that they were going that there is a match and it's a brick grant. It's for infrastructure purposes, stuff that power and stuff like that stuff. The county doesn't have any assets too. It would be for the local co-ops or the tenant providers and stuff like that. We're using audit solutions and a consultant for us to help navigate through the process. As you can imagine, they're not super easy to go through. But it does hit a lot of the checks, a lot of the boxes as far as lower income impacts and whatnot. And I can leave a couple of sheets of paper for the files going forward. It's a slow process. I'm only think the full applications not even do until January of 25. So obviously it would probably be another year beyond that before. But at least it's worth a try. Yeah. I think that's going to be very benefit of all of us. I just spent four days without power. So bringing on. That's great. I'll give at that hand. We can just not go down a few of those streets. Yeah, there you go. Thank you, sir. I just want to honest, to command you and your staff, because Daniel just hit on, you know, you already got the fire back up. Yeah. And we appreciate it as a board. And I know everybody can appreciate it but thank y'all for your hard work. You got one fella, I cannot let you leave without commending him Billy Wilson. He's the man. He just had shoulder surgery last Thursday, Wednesday, Thursday. I take him that morning, or that day, why we haven't started, I knew he's having it, but I thought it was the next week. And he takes me the next morning and he told me he's still in the hospital. I said, don't worry about it. I'll contact him. He said no, no. He fixed that problem in the hospital bed. There you go. Yeah, but that really, we appreciate comments very much. Of course, I think having two storms within a one year calendar window was it easy? I think people were a little more restless this time around, but we've got a lot of great people. I was on the ground here with Josh Hires at noon on the middle of the storm getting feeders back on. Well, Josh is one of the point of things. Yeah, but really, from the half of the board of county commissioners of Dixie County, please let that be really your team. That would be true. I'm going to rather not go to tick-rode the idea. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. Antide road. Thank you. Thank you for all the community support that we received. And especially for five years, not until the end of the day. It has been a great tradition. We've been active in our community for the past two years. And it's not like we do that is to make it work. And so this year we have two of our amazing brands that we've had with some of the information that they're doing. And so we really, you know, wondering how we're going to pay for salary, how we're going to pay for the trial. And so the given names, the author, and what the county's offering, you know, I'll see. The officer, they were better county's operands. No, I think that might have been the last meeting that mentioned about how to build a new and some of those funds from the federal government's instruction needs to do. That's a really practical submission. I believe it was. Yeah, yeah. So what the cut was was what 30 Yeah So I thought we were supposed to get some numbers up and I never heard anything Okay, so what we've done what they're looking at is say you were asked to prepare a budget Yeah done what they're looking at is say you were asked to prepare a budget. Now we'll try to keep things together. Okay, even if you don't need a girlfriend you won't find it somewhere. Is that your bottom number? This is the bottom number, yeah. That's what we need. Okay, right here is something worth, yeah. Yeah. Okay. That's what I was wondering, that's what I was asking. Right. Okay. This was perfect. And this was part of it. Okay, super, super. So when we submit a budget, now we feel like we need to keep you informed about what we're doing. Right? If you can somebody money, you want to know what they're doing. We appreciate the time and given a surprise on this year. And we'll be here and answer any questions. One item we've been asked about is are you audited? Yes, we're audited twice a year with what they call a desk monitoring by the Director of Social Security Florida and Community Coalition Alliance, which is a regional organization and we are participating annually in the five or one-two-three audit of about $5,000 a pound and jump. And pound jumps are just audits of the $5,000 of talent, and talent, and talent, so just auto-declosure. So they're credible, they're from like city inside. Any other questions? Mrs. Kona, thank you for this. This was up to me. Some of you smart too. You are well. Now we know what we need. And we're still in business. We'll say that one for the next. And thank y'all for everything you all do for our kids and just thank you. I know a lot of you have been out there. And I've also been here a lot. And I want everyone to know that we've started before our events. They're one of our partners. We don't have really much to show that there's enough community. We love the pyramid and the program and the red and red and red and so on. I think this unit was here in scope for us, but we appreciate whatever we can do and what everything can do it. And what else can you do for that? Yeah. Thank you. Thanks for staying. You're welcome. Yeah. Okay. I think we have to not go up, but we're still at 932. Our game, Debbie, was another child. We've been coming for a lot. Our other station was submerged, and we didn't come for a restation with some urge and we lost power for our wells. We could not power the wells with our generator until the water receded, so it took us a long and after we hooked up the generator, 45 minutes later, the generator took it up. So we had a way for power to get back on. We did keep the night on our four levels, unfortunately within two hours if I'm down 30 feet so the operator decided to restart the plant. Unfortunately, we hadn't probably preferred indoor lightning strike to the power plant. Our left station that goes into the service tank. We had about to bypass the first day. We had about 80 gallons per minute going into the tank with about 165 going out. We did shut it down for the night so a good catch up. And the next morning Matt and I will fork on it and actually Mark came down. He actually put his hands in there too. 12 o'clock at night and we ended up putting more out than putting more in that was then he was going out. We did have a bypass thanks to a lot of rural water systems which which brought us way above the outskirts. And right now the system, we had the manufacturers on the command he did, put a temporary power supply in there, so unfortunately the one that keep in above everything now. The stations up, the sewers were brought back and rolling. The grinder pump, sir, or that system, since we replaced the majority of them, probably about 90% is not more. We only had 60 issues. Not failure of issues where either E-E's, which are the plug-and-seq gov, plug it in, they fail, replace those right away, I think, total comes from three failures, so big difference. I did give the board's incident reports and we've got all of the volunteers under investigation by FTEB law enforcement and the other one were the Disrespective Board meeting. What I do need, we had a complaint about an asses of sewer leak. We popped out about 65,000 gallons before we got out of a ditch. I did have Florida rule water come down. It was not a sewer leak, but it's just been sitting in that ditch so long that it was the vegetation. That would be. It's just cooking itself. What I do ask from the board if the county could come out, we could not find a culvert that should be at the end of that ditch if they could spend somebody else to find out. Three pavements 20 highway didn't we just identify all them down through there Get with get with Paul when y'all look at that design build that we just done on 3.49 and that cover should be in there Just get with him on that because I know I know all the coverage wasnits were included on that design bill. That's my whole report. Thank you, Steve. Just maybe. Good evening. The EOC project, the construction of's hill, the model is seven. The contractor anticipates starting the first, second week, except that project there. All-town construction is still ongoing. The sheriff's service building, working on my pre-application meeting with the old management district, the building plans to move forward. Now we have all of that approved through the Sheriff's Office. The CDBG project, the current period is which is the top of the last meeting in August 20th. So shortly after that, we're anticipating getting the approval to start the construction on that. To go out of the bed, our health shares rose. The contract, I sent that contract back to the county of executed. So as soon as the county executes that, we've been in coordination with the Johns team. So there will be skills and more pre-constructs in being on that. As soon as that's probably executed. The two fire stations, we've got the four-point approved from Greenstaff and also we've got a conceptual site for the Greenstaff. That brings me to last minute and a half my list here was after the last 40 meetings we had the workshop talked about in a different project. The Geno Highway, there's two bridges down there. One is actually the actual culvert but the total estimated cost to replace the bridge and then the culprer is actually got pretty good rating. So it's just widening that, extending that, making it wider, making it fuller with the total cost for those two projects is probably $4 million. Well, she parking lot. I don't have the property acquisition. We talked about the shows of the work that Derry Group sort of got for that. As far as the peer and all that, if we just do a two that, I'll do an additional parking. And then you can start an important one down there. I'll ask for that parking lot estimated to be about $600,000. Well, that's the property acquisition for that. I'm sure that I'll be on the campground that we talked about. I'm assuming we could get cooperation from the federal government about $1.5 million to do that project. The swanning sea wall, phase four, Darien's group, that's again four of the other two phases, that would be two point four minutes to do the final phase of that. So all those total is only $8.2 million. That is? Oh, that's it. That is true. Remember that. Oh, that's no? That is huge. I remember that. Oh, that's new. I'm seeing. Yeah. Let me say this, the geno highway, I'm fully myself. I'm fully support bridge and experience. Is that Bob's Coberts or Raker? That was a bridge. Yeah, I know that. When it's Casey's, it's called a bridge code. What size did a Bob Scobert or a round code? It's a concrete box. I think you tear off the head walls and then you stand it out. With additional concrete. Honestly, with this money, we We got a lesson and I hate to hate to say that's why the public safety That bridge is on piling down wooden piling. I've been all up underneath our pictures of it almost What about a temporary something temporary around that for them residents could still get in and out is Because we're running it this for sure, remember? The way we did our cost estimate is we would stage the construction. So we would end up having some road work in here with it, but we would move the new bridge would be slightly shifted from the existing bridge. We would build enough to move traffic. We get that part built, we take the testing road or existing bridge and move the traffic over onto that, tear the old bridge down, then finish building the new bridge. How wide a bridge are you looking at? 44 feet. Why? What's the length? The length is matching length, sorry, there. You don't know what length is. I don't know what length is 35 feet so you've been 44 by 35 and what are we now probably The time way right now is not typically I got on the 49 years those language are 12 so what we put in there was a 12 so a lot of ink and bolts in for the shoulder across the bridge. So that's 24 feet for the wings plus 10 and 10 and that's your 44 feet. Okay, well I really like that project personally so I'm good to do that one but I know it's an anecdote to not devote it, but to see you all one also, that's another public safety also. If they're in the sky, I shouldn't say damn, the sky can get some other, and we can finish off swanning and it's in the vacuum racing route. That will pretty well finish swanning and I'll be very tech-able without an ulcer. So you can't never go wrong spending money to shirt island so you need more projects than what you're saying yeah we do we need to ensure that you're not sure about some of that stuff you got those are just the projects that was presented to the board. They were from a different project. Well, it was also about awesome. But I think those that he's welcome out from the top drawer. Yeah. These are what you asked for us to bring you back to cost estimates on. So you don't have more information to make your decision. Yeah. And I move you right. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to go to the property. We're going to number of the presentation. So, definitely part of that. You are going to work on the, on the property. I think the real past the information on the, has been the information of the property owners, that I have to get with him, try to find out if they're interested in what that calls to be. Well, then, for 30, I can get a good product, some of my brother. Yes. I agree. What do you want me to do? You want me to do anything else? I just need that at some point to come. Say, I want me to make a decision. What do you want me to do? Okay. That's all I have. Mr. I have something else for you. Thank you, Mr. Gregg. Okay. Thank you, Mr. Gregg. What about the dogs? Including the county dogs and the dogs. So, all that can be done under this. The only reason we took care of the poor sheep is getting covered under the slask on the table. What's that dog's foot like, down the under? Or do you have him? His tour up. And he's in shirt out of this gun. Oh, yeah. Yes. So that would be another thing we look at also where people get that petition and take a romantic walk down shirt out of the pier. Got them out. Because the money, the money that Ms. Lashdome is going to put back in water was there. Then, she's talking about maybe putting a little bit more to it, to add to it, to make it a little bit longer, bigger and better. That's what I was talking about. Scott, we need to look at some of his projects. He's kind of happy about. First, what we call commercial fear. How does getting put back the way it was? We talk at blood point of time. We talk about putting a bearing, some floating doghouse all of it for smaller votes. And stuff like that with the historic money. It's a historic money, the big money on that. But it's for a share of the market that fear is being put back the way it was. It's for a deal. There will be no additions to it or anything for that nature. Exactly. You just have to separate it out. Scott said it has to be life for life. For these money to here, we can advance. Exactly. for life. For these ones here we do the pants which are exactly. One thing I can recommend is there is any extra money in that for a shirt park and that pier if we can work on building or designing some type of jetty system to protect that. So every time we have it an astronomical hot tie or a storm surge it won't wash that away. I know I'm working myself in Paul and John and Aaron are all working with FEMA all doing a mitigation project to save the point. The short point for OEM the Embarer Brown and all this is. We're working with him on that but it's not looking favorable right now. It's not yet getting any traction. They want to do it because it's in the barrel ground, but there's right now there's no traction on the made with it. On the Fed stock. So that's something we can look at dealing with some of the section money. Okay, thank you Scott. Sir, actually we won't comment on this. Could you elaborate on the share of time we can want to explain very well that? That would involve constructing a RV park. The only one on RV. This is a lot similar to what we have in the park of the counties. The counties don't have any ride-away other than where that park is. This would require some cooperation with the federal government, but the road's coming in. Right now, the counties look into relocating the water well and then I'm going to place the quid of the road right away but we can take and use that area between the road and where the park is and create a spot that people can come and camp and join the deeds and enjoy the coastline spend money here and you know the event. That theory that we talk about going closer to the road and putting the campers and everything up there versus on the beach including the primitive camping out on the beach is going to do it that way. But that way it keeps that area. That's all with the fence allowance you use it. Nothing to do with your project. Nothing to do with your project. One thing, please stay close to name. Go down. Oh, sorry. I see our clerk over here struggling to keep up with everybody. Yes, yes, power. Yes, Jenny. And this concept and the cost is in there concept just only have out Anything else for we can step now Thank you Mr. Yohan. I don't have a whole lot of the report on the horseshoe dredging, char-isle renerishment and swammy dredging. We completed the survey work on the first two. We got the lab data back on the Shired Island samples, both on the beach and in the stock pile at the school site. And we're finalizing some of the data down to 20. And then we were concurrently working on all the design and further. I'll hover waiting on the last bit of survey. That's really all I have. That's up for me. Thank you. Cindy's not here. Just Freeman. I'm going to put a jump in game and office. That's the proper next call. It's going to put this down to the game and office. That's the property next door. It's going to be sold. They explained how we got to where we're at right now. So we kind of pushed them, they're going to get us a survey that shows actually how that draws out into the water because it's not a straight piece of land. I'm going to rip it. It's high shape. So this will show us exactly where the violation is, how much has to be, what cuts all for, doesn't cut off. A month or so other problems with it, but it's the start. They are aware, they just got, let's say, bad information. Okay. But it's, I mean, we are working on it. Thanks. And they are going to cooperate with like they don't know the hard problems. You're not being. That's what I got. Let's get something. Good job. Thank you. Thank you. He has brother got him. Brother might have some. I saw those hurt you here, but is the hurt your brother got anything? Yeah. Oh, he has a... God, he has... God, he has... He has no... Kim Johnson's not here. Mr. Leon. He has Lee. He has Lee. Lee? Real? He's not here. He's not here. That ain't good. Oh, Mr Brown. Okay. Oh, make it quick. It is the disaster recovery center. I met with FEMA in the state and the security team for the library yesterday. That is a go. We're going to start our disaster recovery center on Monday, starting at 9 o'clock in the morning. They're approximate, depending on what time they can get there to start putting their computers and all that stuff in. It may be closer to noon when it opens at the soft opening on Monday. And then they're going to run it from 9 in the morning till 7 at night, 7 days a week, or at least the first two weeks and then we'll go from there to see if it can be scaled back on days being long. We have an agreement with them for 60 days. I told them it's sending that we're going to out to run it more than 30 because it kept going on going issue. Last time was it just kept on and on and on. I think with the size of the storm, everything 30 days is plenty enough time for residents to call in and see someone face to face if they need to or if they need to go and see someone. I think 30 days is enough of a timeframe for them to go to do that. If the board wants it to go longer we can but that's all the briefing that's all I've got on the DRC. The debriefick we met with DOT and the contractor rose out of the panhandle. So you got the card. I can't remember where they're out of there. They usually do work on I-10 up west of Tallahassee on that side of it. So they're going to start picking, that's the call, that's the bridge. That's the debris, individuals. They're going to start cutting some of the liners and hangers tomorrow and start picking up on Monday at least if not before that. So you will see the trucks in and out about, they're already staging at, behind Sunstop, at that location, if can certify it. Just so the board knows we do not certify those troops. So if you do get complaints of oh, they're only picking up half of what they're doing and all that that has nothing to do with the county. The DOT, Hamels, all of that stuff. We can't, we actually all in, they have to really not have much contact with the contractors. They won't, they won't, do you see to be the middleman? So that's where we're at on that side. If you have questions and concerns and issues with them, let us know. We'll give you a do you and we'll run through there. This is the same company that was done. It's a whole different company. This one, the company name is Rose. So, on that side, you have a fixed and asked question, sir. No, so we get with you though. If we, if they're going to start picking up, we gave them maps of all the county roads. And they're going to go through in every day. They're going to meet with Kevin Bush. Kevin Keith. Kevin. I can't confuse him. They're going to meet with Mr. Bush and come in and say, what roads were done the day before? And he's going to bring the map in and say, hey, section A1 is complete. Section A2 is complete. Section A2 is started and we've got those maps going through. Okay. It's just a bunch of roads in the hammock and it's very easy to drive by that in road and miss it. They're going to go down to every road made that list from every county road. So if it has an address on it, if it's a day road, the only place that is at the only place they're not going is timber company land because we took those sessions out of their maps so they don't even have those maps that have addresses on. But what they do is when they say I'm using example A2 is complete. The state has a contract company now come through and video add that rig and say, okay, yes, all the debris picked up. And then they'll go back and then they'll start doing another round if we get some calls and questions on that the roadblood is done. They can go back and say, okay, we need another pickup down on that rig. Or, look at the video and and say this is what it was. One thing was mentioned that if you see piles with spray paint markings on, they will not pick them up. That is where people have done lane clearing and pushed it out to the right of way. They have, what they say, two or three piles that they already know of, I think they said that the DOT crews and what-throughs spray paint at the ends, so it's going to be to that landowner's responsibility to remove that. So that's all I have on that. She's got any questions on me on the DOT stuff. The only I've got one other thing. I'm going to ask for the local state of emergency to be extended. No, because of the river still flowing. What about motion, Mr. Hatt? Second, Mr. Brostain on paper. While we're on the river, it is supposed to crest the seabing at 10.9 feet and it will hold probably about three to five more days and then start to see. Perfect. You have any sign of any? It's already pressed. Already did. Yes, I heard it yesterday. Yeah, I heard it did, but I was from my school. Santa Fe, I was going to say, I guess that this one's going to press or, when I talk about our press numbers, that's at Wilcox, not Rock Bluff. So that's where all of our numbers are coming from. Is that Rock Bluff number? If you don't, if it was 18, that's going to be, yeah and we don't get to know this across. We also told the debris contractor not to go down anything close to the river. He got water on it to stay off of those roads due to the fact that they're way to their trucks. We'll cause more damage to the line route roads and then picking up the rain. Yeah, yeah. We'll benefit the county. Yeah. So you know, I think think have any questions for me Yes, sir last time a day we've had those contacts cleaning up We got a couple of throws that we'll go to the vet nowhere and hide not be picking up so everyone happens this time I want them out here. Yes, sir Everyone this is a total difference and these trucks they all have geocodes on so that they're called you are just in track of where they've been and where they're going and everything. That's what I'm being told that every one of the trucks can have a live data where that truck is. Thank you. One more thing Scott. When David said that, triggered my thought there. Last time when they had their mouth figures that come down, messed up the size of our roads. One of them, the young lady that was mentioned, that was in the VOT meeting today, stated that everyone had to have rubber feet on, and that there is, if there's any damage to the road, we need to know about it. A staff location and if you don't, I can't go. It damaged the road. Exactly. You can know where it's at. So we can check it out. I was going to video some of it. If you do that, thinking last year. If you do that, let me know where they're at. And DOT will fix the roads. From the damage that that their trucks cost. They are another I know that down in the town of Swarney that there was some stuff with some water meters and stuff like that so they're staying on the right of way and reaching over and grabbing everything and then I'm pulling off the right. Same thing in Oshin. I said we'll probably see in force you there will probably be a smaller truck down there versus one of the big trucks with a tandem trailers due to the availability of turnaround space and everything else down there. Anything else? Do you want to go? Yes. Thank you. Yes sir. Yes sir. I don't want to miss out. Actually you did do. No, Yes, sir. I don't know what it is. Actually, you did do it. No, no, no. I want to thank you for all your support especially on that back into it. I give them a round of applause for the morning. I'm sorry, you got that. But now, I really appreciate you and you're not so lucky. You're more really good at got those palms was great. I'll pass it on to the next room. Miss Kay? All right, but once you also know that we have lived with the Billions start dates back a couple of days, they were going to make delivery at Swanee on Monday or Tuesday because the elections and the locations right here by the start department will move that back to Wednesday. And then the gene will be moved back about three or four days after that issue. Also, we've been working with Karen Van Arnhem on replacing the designing and placing the billboard that is just north of Cross City heading south that the TDC has which is pretty much messed up right now. And then third, I will be at the OHLA outdoor expo this Saturday. Maybe I want to come see me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Mr. Gail's not here. Mr. Angie. The only thing I have is outside of the enrollment will be here in the boardroom August the 21st and 22nd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's all in motion. Need to clear it. Got it? Mr. Powell. Mr. Powell. The action item is the reminder that the Labor Day holiday is Monday, September 4th and the County of the U.S. Also, the reminder of early voting is until Saturday, August 17th and probably election is on Tuesday, 2020. Mr. Scott already hit on the green team contract to execute. Also the request for aerial strength or speed at the front has been submitted to the state. I think that was on this afternoon. And how that turns out. I think Mr. Hatt mentioned about commission or the thing that I'm dead in the hospital. So let's make sure that we remember him. Davidson. Steve. Hey, hey, hey. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Because I'm sorry. It's a little bit of a shame that Senator Donald is. I'm going to say hello to Lord. And just as a little bit of direction, I was contacted by a company. I think it's a Cisco team. They're working on things with Central Florida for doing so with the aberitization around the city. They're interested in possibly reaching some space out of the airport around two acres. If the board weren't able to meet, thinking well they have time to come over to the location that may get accommodated. I'll get it done back for them. And I just want to mention how great of a job that our entire county staff work here in the storms response and recovery. I spent a lot of time out of the EOC watching those folks out there just work tire sleep, you know, 44 hours a day per several days. Our road crews are even on a solid waste jumping over some road crew efforts and they did a tremendous job and a short amount of time, getting the trees and all four roads to get them up and up. So I just want to publicly thank all of our town chief employees for the work that they put in over the last couple of weeks. On that note, if I can mention something, of course, we have Joe on a mutual aid agreement coming in. He was our human services, the angel to help us with some stuff. He was also here in the end of the day. He said the amount that our crews had grown on learning of what to do and how to do it, was tenfold from the. He is so Debbie. He couldn't believe how much they grown on how, what to do with how. He pretty much said there's no reason for me to be here, except just to answer a few little questions. He went down, he left us, he went to Sarasota County and he said it's not one day. What they were doing down there and what we were doing he said all He said you can't ask the question without going through three rooms with audits politicians to get an answer versus with us He said I don't know how you all did It's just our one relationship with the board. Let y'all do your job. Chairman that all I have for all I have for you. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead. Paul, we spoke about business that wants to come in here behind Crossitoito Umber. We got a parcel on that and that's what Miss Diane needed. Diane's Holtz needed that price and she also needed a direction of the board and it was kind of competitive between us and Taylor County who got this 3540 jobs and I want to give her permission to go ahead and pursue that grant to get that land for the county out there to where we can We need to do two our items actions. We got the price and now The board I guess needs to give her permission to do that So I want to make a motion to do that. So then you can turn it over to her We've got a motion Mr. Hatch second Mr. Ostein, all in favor. And I did speak with this Diane concerning that and that would be soft green, partly rural infrastructure. And we also identified another piece of property that would be used. So working with her on that also and it's all care for property. So if all they can, you own property. So we're working with her to try to accommodate. We need them. Party power. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Sure. Yes. Yes. Thank you. All right. Mr. Paul, this is what I was going to ask Mr. Leon. Maybe you can ask for it for me. I was going to ask him what I, to do as a commissioner, to help him and his office. He's going long ways. We still ain't there yet. I'm getting too many complaints last month. I was out of excuses on building permits. These county can't grow, they can't get the permit. Maybe in a contractor's life, the way don't Swin River Waterman, you may a permit, after I don't spend money on my supplies, that's hurt me. I got contractors, I spent two and a half hours a small, and no one knowing knowing them. I'm glad I didn't talk to them on this morning, because my blood pressure was up. I'll lie here and I've been in contact with Vialpris and we'll get in contact with Lady County. You can go over there in two to three days they got a building permit. I want that here for Lady County. I was going to ask Leon, what do we need to do if we need another if we need somebody person to somebody else? Is he the only one that can pull the permits, find a permit? Okay, I know we've got two people that lose out in the specs. We've got two people sits in the office. If Leon's the only one that signs the permits and is good, then he's either going to stay in in office to get the permits handed out. Or we need to get someone to help him to get called up that can issue a permit because he should know he is a contractor. If he can't get a permit and he's done with the bank got money to build a house for sitting there for five six eight weeks to get a building permit. That ain't no good. And I've run out of excuses for him. I want the help him or to improve that department. That's what I was going to ask him. But can you, because I know you've been getting them calls too. I know that it's going to get approved to add another position through that office a couple of meetings ago. That's supposed to be the start of October 1. So exactly what that position is going to entail but I'll be glad to get with him to find out. Yeah, yeah if he's on one can issue a permit that he's got if he's not in that office the permit's not to get an issued. That's that's the problem. And I want to eliminate getting them calls for me, for rest of them for you and on him on him, because I know, you know, and they're like, he ain't doing stuff, because he had, he had meetings. He had to go down south this week, but when he goes down south that meeting or to a class, that's another day's back, that's on permits. That's not his fault, he's got to go to the meetings. So if we had on some days that he's out, we had someone temporary or whatever that can actually. Here, here's your permit. Get out of here. Get it built, whatever. That's what I'm... Maybe you and him can get up and y'all can discuss that. That's what I was gonna ask. He's actually working shortfall with me, and what do you think is correct that sir? I know that he doesn't donate a lot of his time and hours and that he doesn't get paid for. But he has also asked for staff and staff. He is, and that's what, and I know he has worked overtime, overtime not getting paid for it. I told him he needs to cut that out. He's got a family, he's got kids that's growing up. And he needs to spend time with his youngness. So I'm taking that for him. I want to help him. But I also want to get these permits out quicker than what we're giving him out so we can get our workers working. If that makes sense. Yeah, it does, but I do know what you're talking about. We have put in for another staff right there also. He has started small line stuff that has helped somewhat also. I will say they own those, get a few complaints, but he also gets a, I get a lot of data boys from what he's doing. Oh, yeah. I have to. Yes, yeah, I have to yes. Yes. Yes. I think another staff person would help him to run this for exactly. That's it. Miss Watson. Is there any on our legal status doing good gentlemen? Yes. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. Mark, this is all I'm doing. So my job is to eat up a little bit. Keep Mark and be busy. I'll take my cup. Well, thank you. I've got my mark. Yes, it is. Thank you. Mr. C'modem. I do not have any comments. Well, commissioners, Mr. Wood. I just want to thank everybody for the outstanding job. And I'm talking about everybody that worked for the county. I know it's dumb and sad, but that was probably one of the smoother hurricanes, I guess. Is that a thing? It really was. It seems like it was handled much better than the last one. I want to say thank you there. Oh Everybody had a hand in that. No, I got committee. I'm thinking it's going to have about a lot to do in the book. They're under water right now. I'm being busy, boss. Mr. John did meet with the engineer from Duke Down there today. And they had a look at one of the existing lots there. And they're going to check if it's working. And they're also going to look at placing another lot on the other side of the boat ramp also so that it has been the works for the engineer would do. That's even above and beyond then that's great. Do they able to do that in the middle of this? Yeah. Thank you, John. Thank you. Mr. Hanks? Yeah. First we'll start with the VSC to put the gun on the pipe to stop this time. The ones that really intrude the boots from the ground people out there, Hudson, his team camped out 24 plus hours done a fabulous job whenever they were able to get out there and get going. We had some fatalities. This was a serious, serious going. We had three in our county that was going related. I like to keep them families in our prayers also. But just think the staff, I mean, we sometimes they just don't get enough on it and them in solid waste. I mean, that garbage pile up during something like this. And it's unreal what your telephone will do. It will ring, but no, or boots on the ground people, they've done a fabulous job. I think, like Daniel said, what is a normal storm? This one, this one was a lot more structured on our end, but we did learn a lot that months ago. Steve, down there in the water department, they done a good job getting water back on to people. Just try to get people back to normal as soon as possible. Mr. Dene and Duke Energy also done the same thing with their staffs and just just planking for that. But also in that keep pushing your prayers he's home seat right now with COVID and maybe through hip-hop shit and the said that subscribe that from the minutes Daniel said that he don't run this time. Yeah but no keep pushing your prayers I spoke to him this morning or sometime time. You will forget about it. Yeah, but no keep pushing your prayers. I spoke to him this morning or sometime today and he seemed like he's doing a lot better so that's definitely going around so I was costing you all to be careful and what's what you're doing, what you do. Had a meeting Tuesday morning, Leon and Mr. Geride and myself went to Daytona. We left what five in the morning to go down there to a D.B.P.R. meeting. You all know the square footage on the pole bar and stuff that Leon worked extremely hard on and it actually did not just affect horseshoe and swoney. It affected our whole county. It actually was the whole state. And he he feaks that problem through his hard work and and it was tremendous wind for for Dexter County and to have someone lock him do that. That was a pretty awesome thing that he done because he'll he'll go down in the history books and he'll have his name wrapped down in history books as talented in that and winning. So congratulations to Leon for that. I think that's about all I have. Please vote on August 20th if you're voting right. I'll not stay home. Okay. Okay. Okay. Thank you all very much and please do vote but most importantly please vote in November. November is a very very important election for our country and we've got problems there and if we don't fix that don't care who you put up here. That's right. In the last year, it's going to be a train wreck. So, please vote in August, but definitely vote in November. And I thank y'all. I want to thank everybody. I want to thank all of our employees to the hurricane, getting their cleaned up and doing everything that y'all do. Y'all do the best that I've seen everywhere, that all the surrounding town is. I think we all about the past, we all without any doubt. And to those societies that happened north of our town, I did close friend of mine, he comes out dealerships and I used to work out and do scratch and dip. He called me and asked me, hey, my wife and daughter, best friend, has been involved in a car accident. Can you find that we can't get any information? Well, I found out that information that had to be called back, and that was very hard. That was real close then. That was a hard thing to do. Any fatality call back that was very hard that was real close and that was a hard thing to do any fatality back That was that was part of that and anyway I'm gonna keep on Huts and so did the North Folk and prayers. Hopefully they were covered pretty soon And Mr. John I know I've drove you crazy And I'll drove you crazy. And I thank you, friends. Mr. Paul and Donald Winkim, I start on that boat round. Is it soon? Hopefully. As soon as we can get across the boat, it's going to be going back to the boat. They're all out there. I know. I'll keep on going up there. I know. I'm sorry. I'll bug you all the time but our people need it. Keep them on the table. And hopefully we can get that dress and get more people to see. I think all the officers are coming in to me. And likewise I want to say thank you to everybody. And through this storm, we do get along real good. You do let our guys do their job. They're good at their jobs. I also want to thank, believe it or not, we've got a lot of people listening to this, meetings on the phone, and everybody realizes that I'm learning that. And they are listening to me now. Out there in the middle of the hammock. You get out there and trees be down here and this was a little bit rougher than the last one. Because I couldn't get out. I call her she's like, I can't get to your boss. Then you're couldn't get out. Luckily I have my chainsaw with me this time. So I was trying to get out, Chapus. People was trying to get in. It's my shame we can't. Ain't my chainsaw. That's a well. Power line down. He says, I don't want to get by the power line. He says, well, I don't think the power is on cause everything from there about the Chap it if it don't get me first. I got the top cut out so people could get around. I finally made it the cheapest and let me tell you. The higher company, the Glower, up down the cheapest road. I ain't never seen so many trucks that quick. So Mr. Denny George, thank you very much. He's gone. Maybe he's listening. But I'll know about right after the storm. They had to park up and he's out about 11 days straight last year, this year, three days. So, big difference, big difference. So, I'm going to fake them. And I'm going to fake all the people with chain souls and little tractors out there in the hammock, running around. Mr. Jamie, I don't know if I can do this or not. I says, if you will in the do it, I ain't stopping you. Who knows, there's a lot of people out there and some of them listen on the plate, and they know who they are. And y'all too, but y'all out here too, thank y'all very much. So with that said, and yes, we need to keep Mr. Jogey in prayer and Mr. Hudson prayer and if you know someone else in our county that's sick like that. So now it's y'all's turn we got Miss Mary Goodman. Okay so you good? 30 months. Is there a thing where you can send out like one of the questions was better communication with the residents when you're in something like this here because a lot of things throughout on Facebook about a lot of our everyday dealt with. If you take and get hooked up, maybe be saying this wrong with either he the Scott or or or yeah and I I promise you you'll get alerted okay because my wife got her phone and she knows it almost what I do I could be sitting there and her phone Oh you fix and have a meeting My phone is He's just a mom on the way so Is that it Miss Mary pretty much. Oh, what's the account? What's going on with that? The speed of control. With that, or if you have speed of control, and you can press constantly for the last show, I know about five knots. We did a million requests to the state for some aerial speed of control. Frame, and we're just waiting on the end to respond to those that are going to help us from off. Okay, then I have our guys out there. We see them out. OK. But my road hasn't been done in the last five months. I was going to get ready to carry my car. Look at that. They have been free. Yeah. We're having our scene. I'm going to take a picture. I'm going to mention about the weather. The fog. I'm not going to mention about the weather of the Collins. These lava pellets. Yeah, the lava side. Yeah. So they did just get that shipment in yesterday. This marketplace had a water. So there was several boxes for that. That was a delivered and the the mosquito control guys have those and I think we can have some at the yard if the residents need to come up. They're all in the truck. We've all come up to the yard. But we can get some at the yard from the boxes. That's it. Anybody? That's it anybody. Thank you. Thank you. JD Noble's town council, Horseshoe Beach. I just one of the go over a couple of nets here I took for her in the meet and then first I want to thank Leon and Mr. Haster, I'm going to go to the Daytona with them. That was a great experience and I'm going to go to the Thank you for moving all that brief. Mr. Scott, I guess you could, I didn't know if there was any kind of schedule when then pickup trucks may come down for limbs. I'm just going out so it starts on Monday, the pump residents up to get it to the side of the street. And the paint guys in them on a meeting some down there, cause there's some piles down there with timber, docks and lumber, and I got a pickup and we told them but maybe the spray paint them. They're not going to pick up the construction of spray paint. Yeah, I know, but I've got you to think. Just like you painted that was a sign that hey, I'm going to get this pipe. We've already told them him we stressed it. On the note of Mr. Leon in help, I've had some conversation with him with all what we've been going through with our day. He is mentioned to me, and this is completely county related, but I just want to, but if you're gonna seek out any of that HMGP inspections, he's gonna need some help. Some help. If he can't do that. Exactly. He can't do it all. He can't do it all. He can't do it all. And so then the other thing was the in the BP workshop and things that didn't come up with a number of other presentation and we all spoke about that ortho restoration and of course you chose don't forget about that if we can throw some funds to that to help that commercial industry out there would be great. And the only other thing I had was there's some minor, very minor debris in the canal system. I just know if it was a cleanup plan or was this going to impact the Dredgen opportunity to have to work around the debris that are in the canal. There is no debris, or more clean up this house. Just as long as he knows that his contractor, there are debris and their heavy debris stop pieces of the dot. I'll overheat her a few, it's very minor but there is something there. I just don't want that to be a discouragement or something that holds that project up. Thank you. Thank you. Anyone else? that holds that project up. And thank you. Yes sir. Thank you. Anyone else? Nobody else will stand on. All right. All right. Go ahead. Thank you. William Stockman. I live here across the county scene. I was wondering if he's of the commissioners could give us a mostly installation of bi-profits broadly throughout the county specifically. Right there. Here's your man. So, they are on call and mentions that formal electric is marginal with echo and a couple of companies inside the city here. And there's, they're working out the contract, excuse me. But it's probably the after-step timber on the after-stair on the remaining customer. Because they don't get long-term matter trying to iron out those things that formal electric I appreciate that but specifically what I was interested in learning is which areas of the county have grown in now. And which, because you have a Jack Roberts curve, giving them the changes road, end up with Commissioner, you got yours right now. Yeah, yeah. Oh, crap, church. Down, and there's a picture of the lower end of the cross city, and bring it back this way. But still, the TNS cool start coming in, and you'll be territory. So you're using the DG customer to give you a say, I don't guess. You'll be on the last one, Okay. You can't just have to play. But how was you? What I, uh, I don't really want to hear you mention three areas. Yes. Jack, where I was. Curr. Yes. That's. I was wondering if you want to go out all the way to the crab. I want to ask us to church and on work this way on now. And, uh And we have all of them. Let's give them. The lower part of Chases, the lower hole coming on down from the Chases Road, is the building of us in U.S. 19. But they're in the process of it now. The thing is, and what people need to do. Do you have the school's road area? It can. Yes, I don't get it. Yes, sir. That's about that. That's about the school's team. There are no other stuff. There are trade posts as well. There are no trade posts as well. Where exactly are you located here? I was in the same room. But I'm not asking you to share it for myself. I'm interested in who has brought it in now. And it does. I know. I know a little bit about anybody who's been working with me for half a year now. Even on the other side, I don't know if we'll go by the end of the week to have here now even on the upcoming battle. I believe so. They had to contract the NCCP for that company behind them and we kind of arched together with that in the army to take it over the project because we're going to be a lot bigger and better outfit and we'll just wait for the next one. Second company. Okay, well, Mark and the double surveys of a few people that I have asked about it, and I don't know that many people around, yes, across the city. But people do have the broad thing, and I was specifically interested in the areas that happen in the area. Right. What do they do? They have fiber off. They have like hot boxes. Oh my gosh. Oh yeah. Which one of the missioners represents cross city? Well, it kind of. He's right there. We're going to call him. Yeah, they count. Yeah. But the board, where do you run in it? Do you even touch? Yeah, I do. Yeah, David David does. I don't think I do Daniel. Don't me and David. Yeah, them them to your Mr. Jamie, Mr. David. I know Jerry don't come in town. And I know I don't come in town on the road. And I know where I don't. But I might, that line over there on the whole two road. Yeah, that is a thing that you've got. So I do have a little bit myself. So there's three of us and then Kurt should just get the councilman also. Yeah. There you go. Thanks Mr. Smith. It's Kurt. Do you have something to say? Thanks, Mr. Boyth. Mr. Kurt, do you have something to say? Oh, yes. Paul, I'm not sure if John has gotten a few or a few of you need to one. Just mention that we're going to mention in the year we went in our last week and talked about the city of County. Starting that with our meeting on September 1, we were going to put that in your back pocket or whatever that room comes back to. Okay. I think Anybody else I Do want my component there meeting you mentioned that mr. Kirk. I think horse you was wanting to come to that meeting too Yeah, I've got people step right cuz we're gonna Completely different way yeah, yeah, I'm not all pretty We're going to be different. Two different completely different. We can't be forced to you and can't you cross the middle of all three together. Yeah, okay. Okay. My misunderstanding. That's what it was me. It was me. And body. Yeah. Good job. We got a motion missed those things second measure. That's all I've got. Oh, I see.
