Good morning and welcome to the organizational meeting of the Boca Raton City Council. It is March 31st, 2025. The time is 10 AM. Our first item of business is the Pledge of Allegiance. Will everyone please rise and join in. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. And Ms. Siddons, will you please call the roll. Mayor Singer. Here. Deputy Mayor Drucker. Here. Council Member Naclas. Here. Council Member Thompson. Thank you for being here. Council Member Wickeder. Here. All present. Thank you. And before we begin with our organizational proceedings, Thank you for being here. Council member Wickeder. Here. All present. Thank you. And before we begin with our organizational proceedings, I just wanted to say this is the anniversary when all of us were actually sworn in for our first full terms and it remains and honored to serve with all of you. So as we mark this anniversary, we look forward to great things ahead in our centennial year, the best is yet to come. This is often said. With that, we'll turn to our organizational proceedings. The first item is the selection of the deputy mayor. Council members will entertain a motion if anyone would like to make one. Mr. Mayor. Mayor Singer. All right, Mr. Wigter. I'd like to nominate Council member Fran Nockless as deputy mayor. I would like to second. All right, very good. Any further discussion? Thank you. Then all those in favor, please say aye. Aye. Congratulations, Deputy Mayor Nacklas. Thank you. We'll now turn to selection of CRH Chair and Vice Chair. Well, we could do these jointly. You're separately. Council members, do I hear a motion? Mr. Mayor, I'd like to make a motion for Council Member Wigder, a CRH Chair. Council Member Thompson is Vice Chair. All right, is there a second? Second. Very good. Any further discussion? Then, all those in favor, please say aye. Aye. Aye. Congratulations. Chair and vice chair. We'll now turn to the selection for the member of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee under our ordinance 56-91. Do I hear a motion? Mr. Mayor. Yes. I would like to make a motion to appoint Councilmember Thompson as the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee representative. Second, very good. Thank you, Mr. Wiggler. Any further discussion? All those in favor, please say aye. Aye. Congratulations, Mr. Thompson. We will now turn to other business, which are a selection of representatives for our non-city boards. We have the Transportation Planning Agency representatives and Ms. Siddins has informed me and I'll ask our current reps if it's accurate that they've now changed their policy that we can have three alternates. We have to be confined by two and Ms. Rutgers indicating yes. Mayor Singer, I'd like to move. Okay. I'd like to nominate myself to go back on the TPA as part of their executive board and Fran Naclas with the two alternates being councilmember Wigder and councilmember Thompson. I second that. Any further discussion? All those in favour please say aye. All right. Great. And we'll now turn to the Palm Beach County League of cities voting delegate and alternate any-appoint, if that trucker as the voting delegate and Mr. Wigdor as the alternate. Second. All right, any further discussion? All those in favor please say aye. Aye. And then we'll turn to the congratulations delegates and TPA representatives too. And then we'll turn to the interlocal plan amendment review committee representative and alternate to hear motion. I'd like to nominate Mr. Thompson. As the representative, very well. Is there a second for that? I'll second that. Mr. Thompson, you game for that? Great. All those in favor please say aye. Aye. Aye. And then we'll turn to alternate for the I-Park. Any nominations? Point of inquiry. Yes. Is Ms. Drucker might know this? Is the TPA and the I-Park aren't they like kind of opposite sides of the same coin that they should or should not be the same person? Like, my understanding was that the TPA was related to policy and the I-park was related to that comprehensive plan. We actually had all four of us. We had two and two last year that they should or should not be the same people serving on both committees. That was wondering if that was your understanding. So my understanding is for the TPA, we're good the way that we did it based on their on their ordinance. With the I-PARC, they're the team that's there, which is I believe whoever sat on it this year, they're also working on the master transportation plan. So I don't know if there could be an overlay. If that's a case and it would have to be basically none of us mayor singer because we're all already on the TPA does that make sense? So we can do I'm not sure if I know the I don't know if I volunteer to be the I park alternate. Second very what any further discussion all this is favorably say aye Very good. That concludes our official business. Is there anything else to come before us? I'll just say congratulations to my colleagues and your new roles. Thank you for your prior service and your past roles for your deputy mayor, drucker, former chair, NACLIS, and look forward to working together with you. If there's no further business to come before us, we are adjourned at 1035. Thank you.
