That's TV. Really? That's all right for the Vudge. The Vudge is a unified and the United States of America, and to the minutes. Second and second any questions or correction to minutes. Hearing none of those in favor. Opposed same sign. Thank you. We have a bid under advisement periox, forced main permanent bypass project remains in advisement. So we'll go to new business engineering. Good morning. Welcome, we're granted city engineer. Our first item of business today is change order number one on the 2025 Miller Edition CDBG project. The purpose of the change order was to replace a driveway approach so there wouldn't be standing water after the project. This was something that was noticed during construction. The cost of the change order is $810, bringing the total contract amount to $171,186 for an overall change order amount of less than half a percent. We're recommending approval. Change, change, change, change, change, number one on this 25 Miller additional CBDG project. CBDG project. Second. Moving in second, any questions? Is this the final on this? Maybe not. We're not finished with the project yet. This is ongoing. All right. We have a motion. A second to approve this change order. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed same sign. Thank you. All right. Our second item is supplemental agreement number four with Butler Fairman and cipher for for the South Knight Street from Brick and Wood Drive to Veterans Memorial Parkway Project. Just a very brief update on the project. We're currently in the midst of land acquisition. We have 42 parcels. Some of them are permanent right away that we need in summer temporary. We've acquired over half of those, so we're moving along well in land acquisition. We were also able to get some trees down recently if you drive that corridor very often you would have noticed that some trees came down especially around the bridge area so that utility relocations could happen over this summer and fall because we're letting this project in the spring or I'm in the actually in January of 2026. We signed the original agreement in April of 2020 and 26 seemed a long way out, but now it's just around the corner. So today's supplemental agreement is to add design for water main relocation into the project. We were submitting or going through designing stage three plans and noticed that there would be some water main that needed to be relocated with the project. So we asked Butler Fairman to add that into the contract. So the supplemental agreement is in the amount of $25,800 bringing the overall contract amount to $945,530 and we're recommending your approval. Okay, thank you. I'm trying to motion approve this sub-mail agreement number four with about a fair amount of cypher for $25,800. Don't move. Second. So once this is done, this is maybe the final, let's go ahead a bit then you say in January of 2026. Yes. Okay, so this should be the design of the project should be incorporated in the design of that project. Yep, right. Okay. All right. Good. Anybody have any questions on this supplemental? Is this with federal funds? Yes. Well, this supplemental is 100% local funds. We don't we don't have enough to cover this supplemental But yeah the majority of the design is being covered by federal funds Do you probably? Probably in the yeah, probably in the 70 some percent range Federal number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the number of the, we had bridge inspections done on 10 pedestrian bridges that the city is responsible for. The result of those inspections were recommendations for maintenance on several of the bridges. And with the John T. Myers pedestrian bridge, it was recommended that the deck be painted and the stiffeners be replaced on an as needed basis. Like as they're removing the paint coating, we'll notice there will be some of them that need to be replaced. This agreement with VS will allow for the design specification and bidding of those two items. And it'll also allow us to evaluate future deck restoration options because our current pavers are not holding up very well. And as we evaluate the deck, we'll also take into consideration potential ADA improvements on the bridge itself. The agreement is in the amount of $182,000 and we're recommending your approval. Okay, thanks, Jeremy. Chair and Chairman, I'm motion to approve this agreement with VS Engineering for $182,000. Oh, move. Moving second, questions on this? It's split between the two city. Yes, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that. We have an agreement with the city of West Lafayette and they're paying 50% of this. Okay. And 50% of the whole project, too. Yes. Good. Good. Okay. Any other questions before we vote? Hearing none, all those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed? Same sign. Thank you. The motion is second to approve the special request all those in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed same sign. Thank you. Thank you. We have a proclamation mayor. Yes. Good morning everybody. We've got a proclamation for this month. There's a lot going on this month with police all sorts of fire fire fire fire we're doing a frontline worker appreciation month proclamation. Whereas frontline workers are the builders of our community, exercising curiosity, compassion, courage and creativity to provide essential services that ensure the safety, health and education. exercising curiosity, compassion, courage, and creativity to provide essential services that ensure the safety, health, and education of our residents. And where over 9 million healthcare workers across the United States serve in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, often placing themselves at risk to provide life-saving care. And whereas firefighters respond to an estimated 36 million emergency calls each year, over 800,000 sworn law enforcement officers nationwide, worked tirelessly to uphold the law and ensure public safety. And emergency medical service personnel respond to more than 240 million calls annually. And whereas teachers dedicate their careers to shaping the future of our communities with over 3.7 million educators in the United States providing knowledge and guidance to our youth. And whereas frontline workers embody the essence of builders, flexible thinkers, and constructive problem solvers who respect the dignity of all people by dedicating themselves to overcoming challenges and uniting communities. Now therefore, I, Mayor Tony Rosworski of Lafayette, Indiana, do hereby proclaim the month of May as front line worker appreciation month in Lafayette, Indiana, and I encourage all residents to join in recognizing and honoring the heroic contributions of our health care workers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, EM, S personnel, and teachers. So we were very blessed in our community. We've got a lot of great people in those positions and we certainly want to thank them and recognize them for all that they do in our community. So thank you. Absolutely. Mayor, is this something that's been done in other communities? I'm assuming so. Yes. Okay. But I will tell you the proclamation that we did honoring the National Guard and the Army Reserve. I went out to meet with them. They said we were only... that we did honoring the National Guard and the Army Reserve. I went out to meet with them. They said we were only of all the community, we were only, there were only three communities that actually ended up recognizing them in Indiana. So I think it's important. I was just gonna suggest, and maybe the officers here know the fire and the police maybe know that and That they've been recognized this way, but I Wouldn't be a bad idea maybe to notify the teachers the school corporations that they've been honored the teachers have been recognized as Appreciation week two, but you're doing this Proclamation and also our health care workers. Yeah, I know Dave is honky with communications is covering it. I think that's, I'd be terrific. Friend, they know we're thinking about him. Thanks, Mayor. Anybody have any comments for the board this morning? OK. That's our agenda for today. Just me, this is adjourned. Thank you.
