All right, we have recessed and now I'm calling the order, our special session. As we do that, although it is not noticed, I'm going to ask Judge Mac to come and do our invocations and our pledges and then we'll move forward. If you would please. Thank you judge Holy mighty God we come to you today because we're thankful again that we live in the greatest county in the greatest state and We pray blessings upon all the men and women have done such great work this week We pray a special blessing on the commissioners as they would always have divine guidance and wisdom and Upon them as they make these important decisions that affect this community Help them to always use their knowledge and understanding and your word to guide them and Serve the people with integrity and with justice and with fairness. We know God what they do here has a ripple effect our entire community. And your word tells us that when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked rule, the people mourn. So we're thankful God that we have righteous department heads and elected officials that want to serve the people that we never forget that we are public servants. Everyone that works for the county, we are servants, we're not meant to be served, we're meant to serve. So in us doing that, we pray a blessing upon our families and the sacrifice that are represented here, the chaos that goes with being elected official, that you put your arms around them and that they feel that they continue the good work and not be discouraged. We live in a day and age where it would be easily be easy to do that. So bless our nation, bless our community and let us always call on the name that's above every other. The name that brings healing, the name that brings hope, the name that brings salvation and restoration and goodness. We ask this in the holy name of Jesus and all God's people said, Amen. Join me as we give honor to our great nation and our great state. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. And now our great state, honor the Texas flag. I pledge allegiance to the Texas, one state, under God, one in indivisible. Thank you, and you may be seated. Let the record reflect that all are present, and I'm going to call for a temporary recess at this point. Reconvening our special meeting here today as we talked about in a vote on the rate in our special session. So proceed. Okay Amanda you made me cry. There's no crying in taxes. Okay so our first item is item 4A. Consider and discuss the tax rates needed to fund up to school year 2025 budgets for for our M&O and INS. Sit that again. Oh, poor. Thank you. I appreciate that. We did well call and then we, we, we had temporarily took a recess. Are there any citizen comments who would like to make a comment on anything that is on the agenda or about what we're talking about now? All right, they're being done. Then let's move on to item number four, Tax Cessar Collector. Thank you, Brandon. Okay. Consider and discuss the Wates Native Desired FY25 budget for maintenance and operations and debt service. Our calculated M&O rate is 0.345, and our calculated debt service rate is 0.0445 for a total of 0.3790. So unless there's any more discussion, we can move on to item 4B where you will consider and vote on the proposed tax rate for 2024. And that will include all three of these items or just a 3.790. It will, you'll be like it down by M&O and IMS. So we'll vote on each one individually? No, not right now. You can just say that the MNO rate is 0.345. 0.045 for INS. You'll actually like those things. I mean, we both on the actual tax rate. Okay. When are we going to do that? Right now. September 5th. We'll be done then. But for today, we're adopting the right Amy go ahead and formulate this for us would you please? Or Jamie? Go ahead Oh, I thought he asked you for something Go ahead Oh, okay, I'm sorry. You just are voting to propose an MNO tax rate and a move. Okay. And an IMS tax rate. To for a total of .379 Z evo. All right. We have a motion. Is there a second? I'll second. Okay. Any more discussion? No discussion to Mr. Walker how do you vote? I'm a yes Mr. Raleigh. Yes. I'm a yes to be sure know it no No, we're great no All right, thank you the yeses habit three two all right item four scene Since the tax rate to propose tax rate exceeds the lower of the no-new revenue rate or the voter approval rate. It is above the no-new revenue. It's below the voter approval. So we have to state the date time and place of our public hearing, which is September 6th at 930 here in this court ring. We just have to vote on that. Move. Second. It was motion of second on table. Uh, uh, posed. Motion carries. Okay, thank you. All right, thank you, Jamie. All right. Um, um, I have to, but I can adjourn out of this, correct? Amy, I'm going to adjourn out of this right now. Okay. I can adjourn out of this, correct? Amy, I'm going to adjourn out of this right now. Okay, do we have a motion to adjourn out of our special session? Do we have a motion, second, on favor? Post, motion carries.
