530 please ride. 7000 wide, 49th state of America, and 2,000 public, for which it stands, 1 invasion of the regard, individual with liberty and justice for all. Honor the Texas flag, I pledge allegiance to the injustice, 1 state and your God. One and a minute is all. It's over. Thank you. It's a cold. It's getting cold. But I just want to point out that the cold is going to get one of that to the winner. So for all of you who come all of the time whether it's cold outside or you crevall hot, and you deserve a seat. Let's pray. Direct us to Lord and all our doings with your most gracious favor. Give them uprightness of heart and passion for truth. Make them wise, fair and impartial in their decisions. Through their work, accomplish your holy and gracious will and our midst so that all that they do might be for the greater good of all of the residents of the city of Alabama. You're really name the print. May we see it? We have several public comments today you've signed up to speak on a specific agenda item, I will allow you to speak when the council is about to consider that item. Right now, this will be open comments for people who have signed up and will start off with Gilbert Bennett. I need to stay behind. No, you're good. This is a quick public comment. You guys get the information right off the press here from the Office of Emergency Management. We're going to do a wildfire and severe weather event March 25th from 5.37.30. Opportunity for the PNC to talk about wildfire and severe weather events. We have some out of the Texas service coming. For the experience, the year is a hot shot experience. We also have the National Weather Service. Meteorologist Paul Eurek, AS 33 years of experience. We have a wealth of knowledge and information coming this year. Okay, now I made six copies of the somebody that didn't get a copy. You got me to play with it. Okay. All right, let me ask you, Gilbert, how bad are they predicted the wildfire season to be this year? If we don't get rain, it'll be worse. So we have to do something, we have to be vigilant about. The drought still comes. We get the moisture from a little bit, but then the wind dries it up and we do. So that's our challenge. I think the fire department, I think you could be speaking this, is here lately we have our research here of a lot. So they're keeping up with everything. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Next we have Ralph Fretmar. Alright, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. done in the 90s where somebody took a shortcut cut, the patient was able to come back. Fortunately, five minutes after the call 911, our department, Department, police department was on the scene and they were doing their job and they were doing their job wonderfully. Thank you once again to the party who was, I'll show I said, gracious to my men being around and wanting to know what was going on all the time, how helped me meet the scene, what needed to be, or what was done, and was needing to be done, and so forth. Thank you for the fact that they didn't come in there with fire hoses or blazing. They went in there with fire extinguishers and put it out with minimal amount of water, the necessary, and other things that were done, just to make sure that the damage was minimal or what it could have been. It could have been a pick of the set worst. I get thanks to God, it happened at the time, right? I wrote both awake and able to see or to get things out there. If we have not been home or if we've been asleep, it would have been much worse. But once again, our fire department... ...absolutely amazing, as far as I've considered. Not only did they put the things out, but they cleaned up all of those out, as they could. And now you have a skylight, right? What's that? Now you have a skylight. They use gold skies. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no gold skies. No, no, no, no skylight. Praise the Lord. That means better than that. It was one of the things they got up and quick enough that the damage was limited to in the ceiling and south and never got up in the reactors. So, what? So yeah, so when it comes time to support your fire department Support your fire department Thank you. Thanks Rob All right Moving on to item number C consent agenda items Motion and a second any further discussion. All those in favor? Any opposed? Motion carries. The executive session this listed next on this will delay. We're going to be on the phone with our attorney and meeting time is yet almost an hour away. So we will move on with the rest of the agenda moving on to item number F. This is the public hearing. City of Galano will consider receiving written or oral comments regarding a request for the closure of an alley. North of 31301 Bessamer. The portion of the alley is located behind the lotstone. This holding block 61 and all of lots 1516 in the south.. Holded block 61 and all lots. One, two and part of lots three and four to the north and this boarded by a bessamer or highway 16 on the east. So we will open that for public comments at this time. I don't have anybody on the schedule. So here, 9th, that portion will close. Item number two, the Lano City Council holding a public hearing to receive written end or oral comments regarding requests for a reply of a property known as 1.281 acres of lot of 34 parkview acres and half of lot 34 to be known as lot 34b parkview acres and the physical addresses to 10 post oak drive. I don't have them signed up to speak on this either. Okay, so we will consider that part of the hearing clothes as well. Item number three, the City Council holding a public hearing to receive written or oral comment regarding a request to consider a special use permit for the purpose of an accessory building located within a single family. SF2 zone, physical address is 702 West Ellis. And I don't have anybody for that one either. So when Chris is here and the muds are here too, but I don't know if they need to speak. I mean, if they didn't sign up, it's no big deal. It's not like that. But they're here. Just acknowledge that they're here. There's questions. And I don't know if on the, this one. On the discussion, I'll ask the questions. Yeah. Thank you. Yep. All right, and moving on to item number four, the City Council will consider public hearing, receiving written and oral comments for going request for a special use permit for the smoke shop, located within the commercial zone, the physical address is 1209 Bessamer, City of Lano, and Russell Harris is here to speak to that. I'm just basically here to answer any questions. Is this a part of a chain of smoke shops you guys are putting together? So the tenant that would be, I'm not the owner of the smoke shop. So I'm only the property. I've been approached by someone that's interested in potentially at the front part of the space, the smaller space of that. Don't be forced to jump. And he does on 12 other smoke shops around the whole country currently. OK. So. All right. A council question. Thank you, Russell. I have nothing else on the agenda of that. At this point we'll consider the public hearing closed. Moving on to the regular agenda items. Discussion and possible action to approve. I'll order in the summer of 1547 to close the alley. Located at 1301 Bessamer as we just spoke to you just a moment ago. I'm going to do for the first second. I have a motion and a second in further discussion. All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Item number two discussion, a possible action to approve the request for a reply to the property known as one, two, two 81 acres of lot 34, part view acres and half of lot 34 to be noticed. A lot number 34, B, do I hear a motion? I'm going to check for the second. Motion, I second any other discussion. All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Item number three discussion and possible action to approve ordinance number 1548, special use permit, for the purpose of an accessory building on the single family zone at 702 West, to hear a motion. I move the crew. On second. Motionary second in the other discussion. All those in favor? Aye. Any favor any opposed motion carries item number four discussion possible action to approve our ordinance over 1549 special use permit for the purpose of the smoke shop and The central commercial zone at 1209 Bessamer Have a motion and a second any discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Item number five, discussion and possible action to approve. 2025, Lano Youth Soccer Association Agreement. This is the same thing we've done with them. Only difference being this year we put a little bit of restriction on the uses of water. I have a motion and a second. Any further discussion? All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Item number six, discussion and possible action on an agreement between the City of Lano and the Lano Youth Baseball Association to provide for administration operation and maintenance of youth recreation programs on premises and facilities owned by the City of Lano. I have a motion. In a second any further discussion? All those in favor? All right. Any opposed? Motion carries. At this time we will hear a number seven and our Commissioner of Precinct One, Peter Jones, is here to introduce the new concept that's going to be coming to the Leno area. Yeah, but evening now, should we count to? I think a lot of people have gone to Canada, just to increase in one, also a deal with on the board of the current rural transit system, which is a hot, more fully fully move the hot. I think I spoke with you about a year ago plus in regards to that. I said that with some reorganization with the hot and La Nau County is elected separate from the Hill Country Transit District which is the 9 County area that provides the hot and move the transit system, the rural transit system in the little county to CAHS, which is the capital area, rural transportation system. That's a system that currently serves as a burning county and my other counties, wherever they serve that. So we will be the 10th County in that country. So I just wanted to introduce the Dana Black she is the community director for community engagement and she's going to make the presentation and we got to what that means and we got to the services that cost will provide. All right, thank you, Peter. Thank you, Mr. Ardon. And thank you, Peter and Council. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. I'm not going to be able to do that. district. We have a brief presentation. I'll go through it pretty quickly. I hope everybody is worried about false numbers coming in and getting along. So, I'll go through it pretty quickly. I hope everybody is worried about full stop just coming in and getting home. So, I'll see. Here we go. So, light Mr. Jones mentioned, hearts covers nine counties right now, surrounding the capital area, with a rural transportation provider to all those counties. So anything that's urbanized is not our area, it's capital metros area. So we're like the country cousins capital metro. We have many different services that we provide. Basically our services are tailored upon the community's needs. So we have fixed routes. We have pickup services. We have on demand. We have multiple services that we provide based on the community's needs. I do have a short video, sorry. You can skip it. Oh no. What is part of this? This kind of shows us in action around the temple and the rural transportation system. And we provide affordable and reliable transportation for all. Our service area offers nine counties and overall segments in even towns, meaning we're right in your backyard. Whether you're at a medical appointment, off to the grocery store or on your way to work, you can count on parts to get you there. Parts do so much more than artificial bus service with the variety of options today, you can point these to point these even if you live in point T. Take a quick bus route into town or let us take you up at our Crochet Curve Service. Come along and meet our family and interconnecting services. First step is the inner and coach. Inner and coach is a city bus at heart and has a need for speed. The coach enjoys cruising along Vainer highways and craves that brush a skipping brush out traffic. The inter-herbic code provides rise on a fixed schedule with stops and psychic locations in 15 central Texas cities. The coach and I deal with travel into Austin or trips between rural areas. Are you heading downtown Austin? The East Side Bus Plaza connects to capital Metro Rouse into downtown Austin every 15 minutes. Not heading into downtown Austin? No problem. We know it's not always an option to get around on the foot, so Park Services leads up with Capital Metro, Greyhound, Amtrak, and Troway. Some stops even have nearby bike and scooter rentals. Passengers can also take advantage of National Travel and freight services as Pacific stations. Forging for urban passengers who are over 65 or APA eligible, we offer local connections with the Colour and Reservation through the grasshopper. This little green shuttle takes you up at the station and gets you to the store, doctor, or other destinations in a hot, steep air air-to-jump. Not interested in the city? Travel on your own terms with the country bus. This great fan may not work halfway, but this room is on the range. This curved-to-carb service traveled throughout the parts of the district, and is available in specific areas on designated meetings. Thank you for your information today, based on daily belief. But to air it, but to air it to your right, let us go at this 24 hour in advance. Last, a certain amount of heat and it was a number of our feet. Parts now is always on the go and is social buttered while in the group. These red bands are all the little spots providing on-demand rides in specific areas of nature. But this is a button or a quick foe phone you can read on your way to the park library and even better bulletin is in just 15 minutes. So, our more business online at ridecorks.com or call us at 5.2.470-7443 to book the next. Okay, sorry, that was a short video, but it kind of shows like our buses out on the streets and what they have to teach buses, tailored to a different service. So we're really excited to be adding Lando County into our district. I think like 40 years ago, it was talked about Lando, I was supposed to be part of our district, but then it didn't happen. And so our dams really have them happy that is a comfortable circle and now you guys are an artist. So welcome, I've already started my community engagement. We've worked with the current local system and the bus drivers. We just have them out recently. So we'll talk with them about what the service is. We've already started with meetings. I've been in Portia Veda today. I was at Lano County Commissioner's Court a couple of weeks ago. So just really collaborating and getting the word out there is part of my outreach plan. So that's what I'm doing today. So our country bus service is a service we're gonna provide here in Lano County. Basically you pick up the phone, you call us, and reserve a ride, we'll pick you up at your house, take you wherever you need to go. I give it to everybody like schedules, and I bless them up the front counter for you. So we kind of based a schedule based on what the hog was currently providing. We're really gonna take this first seven months just to see what the need is and assess the needs here in this county. And then Taylor R. Service is based on what you guys need and want. So our country bus is really the service that we're gonna be providing at Toulch wheelchair accessible, you can bring your bike rack, you can bring a personal care attendant at no charge, we accommodate service animals, all of those things and it's really easy, you just call it schedule, we've preferred 24 hours in advance but same day is available based on available. And we have actually started, you can book these rides to meet some advance so starting today today, you can book rides. So we've already heard from passengers that weren't getting service before and have started booking rides. So we're excited about the opportunity. And then this is kind of a screen then schedule. And then we have our on-demand service. We've never had any up-end providing the service with by far most popular service. We pick up like and law for I think 130 plus passengers daily. But the service is on demand. It looks like an Uber. It's dedicated into the city limits in order to get a ride within 15 minutes. The larger your service zone, the larger at the wait time. So this service runs Monday to Friday. You get a ride within 15 minutes that it works within the zone. We have it in six cities right now in our TDP. For Joe. larger at the wait time. So this service runs Monday to Friday. You get a right of 15 minutes and it works within the zone. We have it in six cities right now and our TDP projects that do go into other cities. So this is always a viable option if cities want to find you to it. So we have it in Welfare at Marble Falls, Bashtrop Taylor, and we just launched in September on a little range in Elven. And it's doing really well. People love it. And here's our Marble Ball service. So we do have service from Lano County into Marble Ball. So once people get into Marble Balls, they can use that card now in right around town. We also have our inner urban coach services. We did have some funding cuts, but we are working on that. We have regional routes. There are fixed. It's like a fixed route. You have to go to the stop and catch the bus. You don't call it to catch it. You go exactly to the stop and it just goes straight into Austin. All these routes start in the outline areas and get you into Austin. From there, you can catch cap, metro, flick bus. You can get it right share, you can get right to airport, many different options. And then I'm really excited, this is happening slowly, but I just wrote a grant to get the new transit app, they're doing a trip planner, but basically you'll be able to download the transit app with carts, get the Royal Program, and you'll be able to see all modes of transportation in your area. So you'll be able to see lift cards, whatever's available to you where you're at, you'll be able to see that. So it'll be helpful for rural customers to be able to plan their whole trip. Whether you're starting a rural area, and going into the city, you'll be able to see all your multiple modes when you plan your travel. So really excited about this. We're also capital metros using the same platform. So our customers will be seamless. So, it transcends separate app that you'll just depart. It's a separate app, but you'll download it and cards, like you'll get all the benefits from the cards. Okay. So, when you go to your own app, no. It's trans about that a little free. So on the back end, it's all these other different people, but it will look like one through this technology clip. So these are different things. You'll be able to see the bus coming to you. There's also accessibility for all, so if you're hearing or site, they'll have automated, there's different accessibility, different accessibility available at app. And I mentioned multiple integration. And then all of our vehicles are 88 compliant. So anyone with a wheelchair or disability can write their services and mention service animals can also be accommodated. And then we have partnered right now the service for Lano County will be free for 90 days and after that it's really $2.00, $6.00 depending on the distance you're traveling. But senior 16 above will always write our country book service for free. We've partnered with Pat Pog and the area agency on aging to provide free rides to seniors 16 above. We noticed that they weren't getting out of their homes after getting after COVID and getting meals delivered to them. So wanting to make them easily accessible to the community and not having barriers we've opened it up. So they can travel not only into concrete hillsides, to visit a friend, to get their hair done, reps, centers, leopards, whatever they need at no charge. And they can also bring, they can bring, independent, so if they need to travel with someone, they can travel at no charge. A personal parent. And then yeah, so that's kind of my field. You guys can follow us on social media. That's like the easiest ways for the word. And I really rely on partnerships with cities and different social service organizations to get the word out. We're a public agency, so we rely a lot on brand writing and things like that. So any help to get the word out is very appreciated. So do you guys have any questions? Your service starts here in Atlanta, when? It starts on March 3rd. Okay. How many country buses are you allocating initially? So I think Lino County is going to have four. Okay. Welcome. Yeah. So lots of service here. Yeah. The station here or the station? Yeah, they'll be stationed here. Currently, we've adored all of the drivers that were driving for Atlanta County and for the hop and to our systems. So we've helped all the drivers. They know the community and they've been there for like three decades. So we want to involve them then and you know, they're going to help show us like, you you know where the community needs are. Any talks with the school district on any needs they might have? We are not, cards has never been a public school transportation provider and we don't want to get into that business. We've learned from different areas that it's been a problem like having kids jump on our buses and skip school and you know they let me take up all the then there's not rides available for the public so yeah definitely not talked about school transportation. If kids want to jump on the bus after school or not during school times they want to make the reservation and they're not at a school zone we can accommodate that so like's an after-care thing and they wanna do something, they can do that. Yeah, I was just recalling a thought that the hot bus might have took some kids from schools in daycare, but maybe. They did, blame them. Almost half of your ridership was school students. Yeah, which weren't paying anything and it's kind of taking up a lot of service. So, but I think that's a lot made that decision before we started. So, yeah. Yeah. We'll mind your saying, too hot wouldn't take. It's kind of taking up a lot of service. So, but I think that the hot made that decision before we started. So, yeah. Yeah. Well, my understanding too, how it wouldn't take folks to Bernad County. But like medical and shopping. And so at one time, that was my understanding. I'm not being wrong about that. I did take them to Marvel talk. Oh, okay. And I take them talking and it's all in me. It was not as extensive a few things. Okay. Yeah, burdens are neighboring county. Yeah, we have lots of service there. So like I've- Okay. Okay. And I take them to our room and it's all in there. It was not as extensive as you just said. Okay. Yeah, burn us our neighboring county. Yeah. We have lots of service there. So like I mentioned, like they can even go there and they want to ride around town on the parks now. They can do that. And I do have an extensive like voucher program that we sell discounted tickets for social service agencies and that a couple of today earlier and for Sh Bay that use us and so that's also available if people don't have money for transportation that those agencies can hand them out as they're needed. Now if a rider is 60 or older they get your ride for free and you have to have any kind of identification. No, they do need to call into our call center. It takes less than a minute for them less than a minute for them to get their name, address them basically as their birth date and just so they, you know, that there's under 16, because we have to report that back to the area to the new generation. So that's your link. Okay. Need a limitation, so that's like local area or is that the whole Lano County area for? All Lano County and the eight of the nine of the counties Okay, so for interior just Yeah, we started that in June and I know that we are like picking up 300 plus in some counties, you know monthly So I know to serve those that's needed and is doing great. Okay Well, thank you for having me. Thank you, Dan. Thank you, Dana. All right, moving on to item number eight, discussion and possible action approving a budget request for the Council Restricted Sinking Fund. Yes. So last year, City Council had given a budget $150,000 for water and white water system improvements. We weren't able to finish replacing waterline on parent streets. We were able to order the materials, but we didn't get started on it. So this budget cycle was going to be massive for the $32,000. It was remaining in that budget to carry over this year, we can do the coal expansion on it. There's a good chance that it won't be a budget amendment, it'll just be a line-out and transfer because there's also a 50 grand budget budget isn't that budget this year for a project of wastewater plant that I think is going to come in about 15. Okay. I'm going to take that. A motion to approve in a second. Any other discussion? All those in favor? Aye. 9, 9, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, for chip seal material expenses. So, Lano County wasn't able to get to the painting project until after October 1st this year. So, the materials that were purchased were purchased out of the current budget. So, I'm just asking to carry that forward for the last year. Okay. Beautiful. Should I put it so project this year? I'm going to put it for a second. A second. A second, any further discussion? If you just have any bearing on our budget process at all, carrying over here? Well, we did have, well, I have about the common numbers, but we're about 287,000 that was going into unbalanced in last year. So, we're basically just going to carry that orange into the situation. Thank you. Other discussion? Questions? All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Number 10, discussion and possible action to approve resolution number 2026-06, submitting the Massha fee schedule for the price of fine mulch at the citizen collection station again, Josh. So we had 150 or 1500 yards of mulch reground to make fine mulch. And we had estimated double in the cost of grinding for the cost of mulch. It turns out that was a bad estimate for the cost. More than that, sometimes that's been a great surprise of selling five holes to cover the- The expense. Right. Yeah. Okay. So where were we charging? So we just got it ground the last week, and it was in the budget. It was put in the masterpiece, scheduled at $5.00. We've never had it before. Yeah. Okay. But this that you may feel full to the yard, is that what it is? Yes, the yard for $12.00. That's still a bargain. I move to a further form. I'll second. Motion on a second and the other discussion. All those in favor? Bye. Any opposed? Motion carries. Moving on to item number 11. Before we start this discussion and possible action to approve the special event act application for the event permit. This is actually issued and approved by the city council back in August. The only reason this back up here is because in the interim there was a new special event ordinance that was passed. This simply is to dot the eyes and cross the tees to make sure that leaf is in compliance with the rest of it. It has really no bearing about whether it will be passed or not. It's going to pass. I can tell you already. So and I believe that all woman. Yes. I'm actually the one who submitted the application because I love leaf. And so, Cito cannot be here tonight. He was going to be here to support it. He has a best-wistered convention he has to go to. I've asked Joaquin Cortez, who is the artist, involved with getting this specific leaf-free reading group together to share a little bit of why he's got so much passion behind this. And then we have Ditton Majuga, who actually went over to Europe to be a part of the rock stacking even over there. So I've personally asked those two to come and just give a little blurb on what they're doing. I think there's a few others that want to talk to them. What can you want to come on up and I promise. No one has done. No. I've talked to the government. So I'm a local Texas artist and I've been part of the existence of beginning. I have eventsgoatures.com and I work with tourists, heroes and chambers of commerce and a child around and do art events to bring people to the community. And leaf is a unique event. It's different than all the other events that I've part of it. Other events that have been part of it bring millions of dollars to the community. And there's a big international group that's part of this event. And I think that it could grow and bring more tourism to the world. And This year we're going to do a smaller event. It's going to be more like a family meeting. So I'll bring all the artists together. And we've already raised almost $10,000 to do this. It's a bringing artists from all over. Some artists have already signed up and got their point tickets from Australia. We've had a local give us 100,000 air on my way to get some international artists here. I like her, I love Lee's and I like random things. Nice way to highlight the area and the rocks and the nature of the two. And thank you everybody. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Morgan. Mr. Matrugno, you want to speak next? Yeah, I'm here to speak. I'm going to face upon what he just told me. I'm going to hold off on my speech so that everyone can have extra soup eating time this evening. And pass that on to my son. Thank you. I just Just one more thing. I just thought, you know, this is because of the application process. What does it have to you say that we do more? Because there's a lot of people that want to leave. Even when we were told there is not going to be, we still want to leave. So, it's going to stay. OK. OK. Terry, can we come on and speak Well, it's time. Well. Okay, well you can come next. Well, this was really good because I thought I had some convincing to do it. I've been doing this stuff for seven years and it's been very, ever since 2018 I've been doing it and it's sent me all around the world. I just recently came back from Scotland where I managed to place first and when I go for not only myself but for Atlanta and for TNUSS in my rocks stacking events. of.U.S.S. in my rocks, stacking events. And one of the quotes I have from one of our international artists, Anthony Upa, is that open quote, I made my first trip to land in 2019 and immediately fell in love with it, with the townspeople and the southern hospitality. I came back with in 2022 with my son, and he loved it just as much as I did. The lead festival is so much more than you are in CI. The events alone put a man on the map, and my son said that he hopes to live in town much like my own day. My completely understands why, end quote. He informed me that they have already booked flights, and was really coming here to thank you so much for our passing and thank you. Now would you like to come up here? Well, I too saw I had the right of her swastika, but I'll share why. Is that why? Because I haven't been all this. It's interesting. Leave is a love story. It's a story about love. I'm sorry to get teared up about it. Because so many people stand up from it. It's a story about love for beautiful river with crystal clear clear water that washes over magnificent boulders during ever-changing landscape and about a people who love this river so much that they want to share with the world. It's about a group of people we believe that art can be created from the cornucopia of art supplies provided by Mother Nature, and that combining that love of nature and art on the banks of the woods of bed is worth sharing. I'm going to try to postpone myself here and fill up my butterflies they come, the curious, the naturalist, earth artist from all over the world, intrigued by the idea of meeting fellow artists sharing their art and ideas Inspiring each other and the visitors to come to watch them to marvel at their creations and participate in the leaf experience For three days the electronics are put aside and children play outside For three days children scatter across the rock stream live where was Kate? with things from b to boulders, stacking rocks, skipping them, arranging them into whatever idea pops into their mind, encouraged by what they see around them and like the artists themselves, they work with friends creating different art forms. You want to hear what this does or has done for Lano? In his broad art is from around the world to our little town. It brings, it brings tourists from around the world as well. I've been down in the river taking pictures and asked the tourists where they are from. Canada, England, Spain, they just happen to be in the area and heard about these embodied sounds and so unique and interesting that they decided to drive to Lano and spend their vacation day here. Not in Fredericksburg, not in Dalton City, not in Austin, here. I don't need to tell you the kind of commerce that brings to our businesses. You already know that. You should also know, but you should also know is that this unique festival put Lano on a map as a destination vacation on the last week of March. People have spoken to always say they're coming back and bringing their friends. Where will those people stay in our hotels and airing in these? Where will they eat at our restaurants? Where will they drink at our Midwest watering malls? Leap has grown to be recognized internationally in 2021 during COVID but Leap offered earth artists from around the world the opportunity to participate virtually. 150 artists from 35 countries and seven continents created and shared their work online. Many of those artists later came to to leave itself and inspire others to make the journey. The lead artist again and the lead artists again artists from around the world have so bonded over lead that they share a thread on messenger, touching base with each other 24-7 all all year long, sharing their art and inspiration, sharing their successes and looking for feedback. As you know, that's three minutes. Oh, can I just finish? It's such a good story. They look, let out, and opportunity to work together and share art that they put this together on their own. All of them have sent messages to walking today offering support and love. I want to share what one artist who lives in Virginia put on this thread. Terry, yes. Let's move on. Okay. Thank you. Richard, you're cool. I'm not going to try to do this here. But I would invite you if you haven't spent, you just went and checked it out for an afternoon. Come and spend a little bit more time there, get to know, get to know, and this won't be as big of a year, but get to know some of the volunteers. We have an incredible number of local volunteers who make this happen, and some of them you don't even see, and seat because good their home making meals or they are housing an artist at their house so I just want to invite you to maybe just spend a little bit more time at least this year than maybe you've had an opportunity and enjoy the family reunion sense because these artists have found a sense of home that we all experienced in this town. Thanks. Thank you, Roger. And Mickey. I'm in the house. Okay, thank you. All right. With that in mind, I would bring this to the council now. Do we have a motion? Really. Oh. Really quick. Just the comment about the insurance. I mean, so when we put together the event permit, we didn't realize the insurance was probably going to be as hard to get or to pay for it at the front and then not be refunded. So I don't know if we have a good idea of, do you know when you might get your insurance? Can you get it within a week? Can you, if we say? Tomorrow, I guess. Okay, so I would just say, if, I mean, an emotion to say we'll approve pending you getting your insurance to us within, I guess they till Friday. I'm, maybe that's seven days. Yeah, seven days, whatever. So is that your motion? I mean, I can't, I don't mind if Larry makes it. I just was going to make sure that we discussed the insurance part of the caveat that if you don't get your insurance, it'll probably be rejected. But I think you already got well on the way of your insurance part. Thank you. I just have a question about the ground. The injurus is that included in this motion? What? Road closures? It's all part of the package. is all part of the package. It's all part of the package. It's all part of the package. But we will probably bring back the event permit to maybe have a time period to get insurance to make sure that like a one week or two week. Is that a fact after? Yeah. Yeah. It was just something I think we didn't realize that Yeah, right. I was telling Mary and me Filling this out helped me to understand the packet from a different perspective So that is something we learned from the experience Okay, so Larry if you would like to make the motion. I mean, I just like I said I want to make sure that we Fiction to get the insurance as long as it Further to get it But yes, that's What can we formalize that then in the statement? Like do I hear you say that I would like to move to improve the fastest and least event festival packet Pending the first event sure it's within the week Is that your motion? That's okay Okay, I'm a motion and a second any further discussion discussion? Okay. He's second. I'll second. Here. He just resided Larry's motion. You just resided here? You did. You see my lips moving. And I was scanning because I was the application. Okay. Up to you two. Do I need any other talk? Okay. All those in favor? Any opposed? Motion carries Welcome I'm moving on to item number 12 discussion and possible action to approve resolution our 2025-07 amending the master fee schedule for sanitation rates So every large waste connections does see the increase on our garbage rights. So I had a death matter fee schedule all in without exactly what they went up. So it's like the 40 cents for residents who want 54 cents per commercial. I moved to approve. Chair. Chair.
