I'm calling the meeting to order at 631. First on the agenda is roll call. Thank you. I will just note is or here, then, here, Cindy here and Matthew, right? Yes, here. Thank you. You have a corn this evening. I think we have public comment. Is that what Kathy falls under or no? She's official on the agenda. Okay, there we go. Moving on to city reports, Olivia. Awesome. Thank you. Happy to be here with you tonight. You should all have in front of you your May East Committee update so if you haven't had a chance to look that over please do and if you have any questions of course let me know so I'll just run through a couple of things very quickly under staff updates. If it wasn't shared at the last meeting the artist registry is is live on the City website. Feel free to go peruse anytime. You can just type it in the search bar or it's linked underneath the 1% for our program. If you run into any issues, spot anything, just shoot me a note and we can get it fixed. If you do have any art contacts that have applied and maybe don't see their name on there or you have additional contacts that you would like to send it to, please do. We accept applications on a rolling basis and I review them as they come in and then work with our team to get them on the website. I'm going to save my International Festival pre-limb recap for the very end because there's a good bit of meat there that I'm excited to share. So I'm going to jump to public art master plan, just a very quick update. We had our internal kickoff meeting this week, which is very exciting. So that ball is now officially rolling. Next phase, we're working on some internal structure conversations, what research we need to do. The next components that will involve you all are the community engagement. So the targeted stakeholder interviews as well as a community survey that we're going to be doing. Those will be launching and or scheduled for later in the summer. So there's more to come. You all will be a part of that targeted stakeholder interview group. So be on the lookout for that. You'll get emails from me to schedule more to come, very exciting, and I will be sure to keep you all in the loop as we move forward in that endeavor. Moving into getting involved, a little bit of change here. As under promotion, I wanted to note that are next upcoming event for June 10th, the event sponsorships are June 13th. So we do have a good bit of runway, the planning committee that is working on that officially with Corinne Wilder Special Events planner. They have a group underneath them that is specifically dedicated to sponsorships, but members of ACE in the past have expressed interest in wanting to be more engaged and involved in event sponsorships in particular. So I wanted to make sure you all were aware of that due date of June 13th. That flyer for the sponsorships is located in that ACE folder. Again, if you have trouble accessing it, please just let me know. If you need me to resend you a copy, happy to do that. Just reach out. Same for promo, 1% for heart program, artist registry, all that same good stuff. Under volunteering, I wanted to highlight that Corinne sent an email to all of you. I believe it was April 7th regarding the Diwali Market Planning Committee. If you wanted to serve on that specific Planning Committee, you need to let her know ASAP. I'm not sure where she's at in terms of starting to schedule those meetings, but because it's in October, she's really kicking into high gear. So I would let her know if you haven't already, let her know as soon as possible if you're interested in doing that. Our community organization Spotlight, I'll let Kathy speak to her organization in a moment when she gets to her formal presentation, but I definitely wanted to shut her out on here. Under upcoming events, one I wanted to highlight this weekend, it's not a city event, but it is at Autramill Nature Preserve. Shakespeare in the park. They have a couple showings. You do need a ticket, but the tickets are free. You just go on their website, and you can reserve them. And there are a couple different show times. They've partnered with a play com a theater company that's putting them on at their facility. And I think it's the second or year they've done this and it's been really successful. So I highly encourage you to go do that. Visit John's Creek is helping support with some fun merch items, correct? Or just some promo? promo, exciting promo. Exciting promo for that. So this is my official boost also. And we've got a couple other events. If you do, I do want to always caveat, this is not a comprehensive events list. This is just a few that we have space for. Always, always, always refer to the online city calendar. That is the for lack of a better word, authoritative source for all things city events. It is the most up-to-date and it also has not just events and programs that are run by the city, but community organizations that submit to have things posted on there. So for example, I believe it's the Fulton County Library System whenever they have certain craft days, or for example the art center has a creator's corner, I want to say it's called. They have like an open workshop every week or every two weeks. That's also on our city calendar because they submitted to put it on there. So it's a great resource for all things going on in the community, not just things that are run by us. Lastly, Easter Bunny highlight. If you didn't get to see the Easter Bunny, he visited a couple parks. It was one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. The children and parents who got to see and take photos with the Easter running. It was a super well received and fun surprise. The event calendar discussion obviously happens in the fall every year for the following year. And that will of course come before ace before it gets to our pack and to counsel. but I imagine something like this will continue in some form or fashion because it was really well received. Another event that's not on here, but that did happen. Did anyone attend Earth Day at Archermale? Was anyone able to make it out there? Okay, I just thought I'd ask. Earth Day, it's a super fun event. You do have the beautiful bags provided by Visit John's Creek. I I think Karen saved me one, but I'm really you. You got one for me. Thank you. I was a little jealous. I didn't get one because they are really amazing. But that's a super fun, family friendly event. It was the second you're doing it. Turn out was really amazing from what I heard. So great there, Atrimil, though they are not the city, they are a really great partner. They're always in need of help with things like sponsorships, for events, kind of general support. So if you do ever have the inclination or find a good partner that maybe isn't a good fit for a city event, Autry Mill, other nonprofits in the area, they could always use more support. They sure do. They have a lot of animals and some are really cuttily and some are not, but they're still just as cute. They're still just as cute. So really quickly, just going to touch on international festivals because I believe Zach, you expressed some interest in talking about it? Yeah, I wasn't able to attend, but I loved it. I saw all the social media stuff. I had some comments, but it looked awesome. Okay, perfect. So because the event was just last weekend, typically following a large event like International Festival, just for your awareness, our staff will do a couple different types of recaps and meetings following a big event like that when there's a lot of logistics involved. So staff just had the big recap meeting with public safety and everything today. So I do have some like very preliminary kind of numbers and thoughts just to share with the group is kind of initial impressions and to give you something to work off of. Was anyone else able to attend? No, okay, cool. Just wanted to make sure I had information. Now in the weather was, well I'll talk about the weather in a second. So unfortunately because the weather was rather ominous, the threat of rain, even though it didn't actually rain much at the field and on that day, the threat of storms, it was a much lower attendance than was expected. Overall, the event went really well. There weren't many issues. It was a great success, the event itself, but the morning of with the threat of rain, there were a number of dropouts in terms of vendors, both food, retail, and performers. And then of course, people don't necessarily want to get out when there's a threat of thunderstorms and rain. So for everything that we could control, the event was amazing. Can't do anything about the weather. So overall, the event was great. Surveys have already been sent to all of the participating and accepted vendors. So the staff will be collecting all of that feedback from them and compiling it and analyzing it as part of that total event review. But if you did hear from people who attended the event, you know, happy to accept that feedback and make sure it gets, going to put in the in the pot. Finally comment was that so I attended it via social media by watching some stuff and all of my rooms for improvement that I had noted for David O'Day spring carnival seemed to be those boxes were checked with international festival. I saw really strong branding, really strong photo opportunities, really cool photo worthy food options. It all looked really good. Awesome. Great. Good deal. Anyone else, any other impressions? Wanna take down? Good deal. Any other questions about anything I shared on the update sheet? I've just heard a lot of comments, just random John's Creek residents about the calendar on the website. If there is there a possibility to have that in chronological order instead of alphabetical order? Is that something we even want to get into? You get a website and it's in alphabetical order of the events and it would be cool if it showed the next event coming up. Let's have a follow-up conversation offline. Okay, cool. Because I want to make sure I understand the visual that you're talking about. There's a button if you push them, there's a master counter button. It expands the whole counter and it looks more like a traditional counter. That's the view I prefer. prefer. You do have to do an extra click to get there though. So maybe that might help. Yeah. Maybe we'll look at it together in one of our meetings or something. Yeah, for sure. Absolutely. Great. Anyone else? Awesome. Okay. Well, that concludes my city update. Awesome, I'm on to the approval of meeting minutes. Everyone can get a chance to review or have any motions on the table. Motion to approve the April test meeting minutes. Thank you. All in favor? Aye. Shhh. Bruce. And drum roll please. We have Kathy up next. Good evening everyone. My name is Kathy Lady and I'm the executive director of Visit John's Creek. On behalf of our board of directors, I just want to say thank you for this opportunity to come and share with you what we do and about our partnership with the city. We are proud to be the official destination management organization, that's an industry trend word for the city. We were established in 2008 and our mission is to promote John's Creek and all the things to see and do for both individual travel, group travel, corporate travel. We're 501 C6 organization. Our funding comes only through what's called the Hotel Motel Occupancy Tax. So that's a tax on top of the sales tax that you pay at any hotel in the country that you go to stay at. We get a percentage of that and the percentage is goes to the city. Visit John's Creek is legally known as John's Creek Convention and Visitors Bureau, but people are like, we don't have a convention center here. What do you do? So many of the other Convention and Visitors go by Discover to Cab, Discover Brookhaven, Awesome Al Farreda. So those are all Convention and Visitors Bureau. We support and proudly city sponsored events, along with just events that individual organizations do. In the last 18 months, some of the sponsorships we've done, the International Festival, Diwali Market, Shakespeare in the park. This will be our second year sponsoring that. June 10th, we're doing that again this year. Literary fair. We sponsored that. Spooky Mill, what? Autry Mill. The Holly Jolly Block Party. We provided the cups that everybody was clamoring for. Earth Day, which is your bag from Autry Mill. And this year for the first time, we are proud to sponsor the Summer Concert Series. So two things that we gave away, and I was there Friday night, was one is you can call it a bottle holder, beer holder, whatever you want to call it. And I don't have any ice with me, but these are color changing cups. So when you put them and there's one in your, I think there's two in your bag. So when you put something cold in them, they will turn a color. And it's a variety. So I need to tell a quick story. The, I guess you call them bartender server from Top Job Friday night. The young young lady nobody told her that it was a color changing cup And she went she she was so proud of the margarita that she had made and went to pour it in the cup And a cup turned purple and she screamed Thinking I've got some bad margarita mix here So and that was that was kind of a laugh, but anyway. So, we will have these, we have these at last Friday, we will have them at the June Summer Concert Series. I'm gonna go ahead and share for the fourth of July. We will have a collector's edition cup, and then we will have this cup for the September, I'm sorry, the August in September. So yeah. And then we will have a special cup for the John's Creek Symphony Orchestra concert in October. So again, we're all about promoting John's Creek. I tell people if you if you need any swag or goodies, just pick up the phone and call me. It doesn't do any good sitting in my office. I am happy to share it. One of the things that we and I am most proud of was creating last summer's campaign. You may have seen it. For USA Today's 10 Best Dog Parks. It was a nationwide contest. Newtown dog park was named second best dog park in the country. As our mayor likes to say, we were the number one non-Ilon dog park. So because the dog park that one is in California is like an island. So that's it's become a joke between me and I. This campaign what we did was we did flyers, we did billboards, and I'm just going to share with you and I can pass it around. This was the initial flyer. So it went in, again, billboards. We had stands that we put in businesses all through Newtown Park that the staff helped with. And so that was again, we were number two in the country and very excited. So when the contest was over, I didn't want it to just drop. And I said, I want to create a thank you campaign to thank people for voting. So did the exact same thing again. Did flyers and billboards and I'll share that with you all over John's Creek and back again flyers in the new town park area to say thank you for voting us the number two dog park in the country. It's a big deal. It is a big deal. And we also had two banners when the announcement was made at the North of July celebration. We had two banners that hung at the park so that everybody that drove by knew this was the second best dog park in the country. So John still may just give a little background. John's Creek, visit John's Creek. The percentage of the hotel motel tax, it can only be used for marketing purposes. We have an expression in my industry that say we can't buy your fireworks, but we can advertise your fireworks. So it can be for advertising only. So we work directly with cities and again, event organizers. We did t-shirts for Diwali. I think it was like year before last. We did a t-shirt for the inaugural 5K run at Colley Creek Park. We did the Holly Jolly and if you want to look in your bag I'm going to tell you a couple of the things that are in your bag. As part of our sponsorship for Audrey Mill was the bag that we did for Earth Day. We also did their stories and songwriters and stories under the stars cup, which we did for them. We also have a cup that has a word cloud on it that we give out again to visitors. You have bag tags. You have color changing cups. You have a bottle drink holder. And you also have a copy of Saver magazine in there, which is a food and beverage magazine that's all over. It's published magazine, and that is our ad. So I've highlighted it and put it my card in there. So if you need anything, let me know. So one of our newest creations is an ad campaign called Visit John's Creek where art, adventure, and flavor meet. This is a copy of our ad. So when you see it, again using John's Creek colors, art, adventure, and flavor. So we also have three brochures. This brochure is in your bag. It is the same brochure. The reason that there are three different ones appeals to three different types of audiences. If you are not an animal lover, you probably are not going to pick up the new town dog, the one with the dog park on it, but you might pick up Roger's bridge or you might pick up our art sculpture of the firms. We also created an Audrey Mill brochure that was specifically for Audrey Mill and an art brochure, which is it's called the art tour. And it showcases our all our unique public art in the city. It will be updated at some point as we add new art. So all of these brochures are in the nine visitor information centers all over the state of Georgia, which is where you stop when you come into the state. They're at City Hall. They're in our hotels. So they are scattered. Again, happy to share if you know somewhere that needs some brochures. Please let me know. In November of 24, we unveiled our new website. The feedback has been outstanding, very positive, and I'll be very honest. It's been beyond our expectations. So if you, after this meeting, when I'm done, if you'll go and visit, or site, it's called visit johnscreak.com. So I have a question, audience participation. Any idea what the number one attraction in John's Creek is? I'll do it. I'll do it. Nope. Cha. Anybody else want to guess? Oh, man. Actually, nope. The tunnel. Nope. Nope. Even though we're the tunnelists, I'm going to find the tunnel. I'll stop the guessing. Food and beverage. Well, that makes sense. Okay. Okay. Off the charts compared to everything else. We have tons of restaurants. Our philosophy is you come, you hear about a neat restaurant in John's Creek. You say I I'm going to come, let's come for date night. Let me come for lunch. Okay? You come, you see, oh look, there's stuff to do in John's Creek. You're going to come back again and again and again. And at some point we hope you'll come and stay the night and do a staycation or a weekend date in one of our hotels. So that, again, that's the number one. So part of our marketing for 2025 is heavy emphasis on food and beverage. Again, that's part of where the art adventure tagline came from. Anybody wanna take a guess in about what the second most popular attraction or trending category, let me say, in John's Creek? That's third. I was only going to one and two but that's that's third. I was only going to one and two, but that's third. It's venues and events. So you could say sort of parks, but it's the events that are in those venues. people what people want to want to come to Johns Creek, and again, are analytic, show all this. They're coming for Lunar New Year. They want cultural events, international festival, June 10th, to Wally Market. So as we continue literary fair, so as we continue again, that's what's drawing people. They come if the festival is over at six I'm tired let's go get something to eat. I've heard about this meat restaurant in John's Creek. So again something that we're promoting just real quickly. I'm going to pass around a couple of the ads just for you to take a look and say, okay, so you can see what we do. Of course, we're very excited about Medley and we'll be heavily promoting Medley as that becomes closer and closer. Just two quick things. Just to give you some stats since our new website, we've had more than 18,000 new visitors to our website. We just launched that in November. We've got more than 35,000 views since our Facebook. We have had a 191% increase. So again, John's Creek is happening. People are interested. Our number one still Facebook campaign or Facebook reach contest was the new town dog park at over 10,000 views. So I'm hoping USA that they'll do that contest again. Again, I said I would just be brief. I just want to say thank you again to each of you and to Zach and Olivia for giving me this opportunity to come speak and to share with you what we do. A lot of people don't know. We're kind of behind the scenes, but again, we are here to promote John's Creek and all the exciting things to see and do. So I hope what I've explained helps you get a better understanding. 2024 was amazing for John's Creek. It was amazing for Visit John's Creek. We are all building on that momentum and right now 2025 is showing it's going to be gangbusters and we are just so excited about everything in John's Creek. Thank you. Happy to entertain any questions. And again, any swag that you need, you've got my phone number. I am happy to distribute it. And enjoy your goodies. Thank you very much. Thank you so much. Thank you, Kathy. I hope that her visiting helps us get our gear spinning as we're on planning committees and thinking about these upcoming events, how we can collaborate with Visit John's Creek and elevate our events. Anyone has any fun ideas? She is available. Is there a place where those flyers are that we can download and pass out? The brochures? The flyers that you just passed out. Oh, okay. Can you read the copy? Yeah. If you'll email me or call me, then I will email you a copy. Sounds great, thank you. Okay. Some of them are from last year. Some of them are from the year before, but they can begin. Yeah. I just want everybody to see. Okay. Kathy, I don't have a question. Yes. like the visitor's stether has involved in so many events, right? And Luna New Year definitely needs you, right? How can you get involved in those? For Luna New Year this year, working with city staff, we did red bag tags. Karen and I worked on those. And I didn I didn't bring one because I they were all given out and I only kept a few. But they said John's Creek Lunar New Year and they were red. Oh, okay. I'm happy to. If you want to email me or call me. I have about three left, but I'm happy to give you one. Again, we work closely with Olivia and Corinne, but also with outside. So, you know, if there's outside organizations that you know of, happy to provide sponsorships again, no, we cannot buy the article, it goes back to, we can't buy the fireworks. We can advertise it, print, billboards. We can, one of the things when Olivia and I had discussions was I said, we want to do summer concert series. We've never done it before. I want to do something fun. Let me think on it. Blah blah blah blah. And we came up with the color changing cups. So if you look at your cup, it's a concert. And it's people dancing. And so Friday night at the concert, to see people's reaction when their cold beverage was poured. Again, look what I got at John's Creek. We're going back to that concert, maybe have dinner before the concert. It's all about bringing people in, so any events, we are, Olivia knows, we are happy to partner, Zack knows, we are happy to partner. And Zack and I have had some conversations, Olivia and I have had conversations, and we're here. That's what we're here for it, and I think you're going to see with the three of us teaming together, even more and more. I don't want to give it away, but I'm going to go ahead for our sponsorship for June Teeth. We're doing a fan. Because it will be a little toasty outside. Yeah, yeah. So it's so funny you said I was thinking about that. Same idea. I was like, could it be in the June Teeth colors too? little toasty outside. Yeah yeah. So it's so funny you said I was thinking about that same idea. I was like, could it be in the June. Colors to. Yes, that's a really cool idea. That's awesome. I approve the artwork this morning. Yeah, it was my idea. No, it wasn't. And sometimes ideas are presented to us and there's some things that we can't do logistically. We don't have a huge, huge budget. But sometimes all it takes is, and again, I understand I was not there at the Holly Jolly Block Party that people were coming up and saying I don't want the hot cocoa right this second. I've already had a cup. Can I have another cup the same with these at Friday night. I don't need another alcoholic beverage, but can I have a cup? They're gonna take it with them. Where'd you get that cup? John's Creek Come visit John's Creek. Thank you again. Please feel free to reach out. Happy to help in any way I can. Thank you. Thank you, Cassie. And I sit up. All right. Moving on to the community place making art and we have a lot of submissions to get through on this. So I didn't know, did you want to kick anything off before we dive in? I had some ideas of how to little it down, but. Yes, I would love to give, just to kind of set the scene and then I'll let you take away how you want to handle it in terms of woodling down. First I just want to thank you all for your contributions and I want to give my kudos to Kimberly and lovely assistant clerk Jake for helping put all of your items and suggestions together. Hopefully you all have had a chance to at least look through them and read a little bit about what everyone has submitted. Kimberly cut up wonderfully at the April meeting. The goal of this is to really help define what does community place making or what could it look like for John's Creek. So the homework was to go into both your mental repertoire like where have you been and seen things that you have enjoyed or liked or experienced and also maybe to go do some research on the good old internet and see cool examples of where other communities have done community place making efforts that seem to have worked really well or have become iconic, have become very memorable on social media, like I think exact reference last time with the tiny doors ATL. So and as Kimberly explained also at the last meeting, City Council, they have seen examples of these programs when they've gone to visit other places. So what we're really after is giving them a few examples for them to think about, okay, we've seen great examples of what this looks like, but we want to hear from Ace, from the community, what could that look like for us, for John's Creek, what would be a good fit? So what I need as staff from you, by the end of this exercise, whatever it looks like, is just a few ideas or concepts for programs that I can then go do, dig, get more granular in the research of figuring out exactly how much something like the program would cost, figuring out the logistics of how we would implement something like the program that you envision, so that then we can compile that information and present it to Council so that they can then make an informed decision about if this is the right year to fund it, which option, if they do decide to fund it and how they might want to fund a program like this, if this is the year they want to do it. So I all that to say, I definitely want to try and keep you focused on the what, like the end outcome, like what do you want to see in the community and try not to get too focused on the how would we do it? Because that's my job, to figure out after you figure out what do you want to see. And if it is helpful, because I know there's a lot of flipping, I did create, you don't have to use them, but I did take each of the just 21, 22, the list that's currently in your memo. It's split just between the two pages, so I just took them and put them on one page and gave you a couple boxes, Zach and other instances, sometimes we did this in rounds, so I just gave you like two columns. Whatever ideas you had of how you might want to tackle it, if you had specific ideas, I will let you take it away or you want to... Oh, no, it's very similar to this. Um, I, the, my first thought was to, um, so some of them like Number seven and number twelve, I think are very similar, the painted pigs and the mice sculptures. And my thought is, I think based on previous meetings that we're all in consensus that we like the idea of pursuing the dog sculptures and that's kind of what the mouse concept was. And I think that kind of goes into what the, also the painted pigs thing is. So I think it's kind of a hybrid of what if it was dogs, either painted or sculptures throughout the city. I'm not trying to knock someone's idea off the list. So if someone wanted to keep the painted pigs concept or the mice concept, I don't want to shut anyone out, but that was my thought, is that they were similar and kind of fit that dog sculpture thing. And I also, note, that's an excellent point. And I want to also add, none of these have to be replicated exactly as they are. They can be inspiration for how we might want to customize a program for John's creeps. So that was a perfect example of how we might want to do dogs instead of a different kind of animal. Exactly. Yes. And then also, I was just going to say to narrow it down further, I was going to ask if anyone had stuff that they weren't passionate about. They were like, ah, that they submitted themselves, that they're like, you know, I don't think this is a good idea anymore. One of them is mine, the trash can things, that kind of belongs in like top golf. I don't think it belongs in the city. So I'm willing to cross out that whole idea that it's number 17. My submission on there, I'm going to like withdraw that number 17. Right. I'm flying with her to draw. I put a bunch of, I withdraw exchange house number two. I kind of could see that. I didn't know. I thought it was a really cool idea. I didn't know if it was super John's Creek. I was grabbing examples of different type of things and that was just something that could easily fall off the table. So what is the maximum that we can choose? A lot of them are so good. Could we do five or something? I would prefer four less than five. So four. Five. Let's say, let's say four point five. Five is the absolute maximum. Oh. And I would say you need at least two. Okay. At least two. I like the pig idea if you did, like maybe if you had, you know, the schools involved were, whoever wins the art contest, you wrap that on the sculpture of a dog somehow. You know what I mean? Like they did here. Like, mm-hmm. Remember, like that would be, remember, that's a how. Okay. Not a what? Okay, sorry. I heard. I hear you. No, no, no, listen. That's a fantastic idea and I hear you. I hear you. Let's get to, do we want to do dogs first? And then we can figure that out and we can brainstorm. We can do cats, but they're too small. Do we mark like first choice, second choice? However, this is just for you. This is just for you to help kind of keep track. And I would actually concur, I think five is actually too many options. So I'm going to knock you down. I'm going to say the goal is three. Okay. I'm going to hold you to it. I believe that you can do it. Okay. Three options. Are we open to, although I think it's a really awesome idea, but are we open to cutting 13 because Atlanta does the tiny doors? I feel like it's a little similar to Atlanta. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If someone submitted that and is passionate about it, I don't want to cut them out. So. It's okay. Squash something. It's okay. Yeah, the one I good. Yeah. The tiny windows. Okay. Yeah. There was the parklets that you submitted that I thought was really cool. Dan, I'm sorry. You submitted the parklet thing. I thought that was really cool. I just just go down a rabbit hole one night. I blocked out a bunch of hours and just banged it out. I thought it was cool. The San Fran thing was pretty cool. Number 16, the Holden one. That's what's about to say. I think that would be a good idea. Yeah, because the golf community is huge here. And I mean, kids who doesn't well put put. So I mean, I think that would be actually good idea. That was one of the ones I was passionate about, but I can understand it can be kind of silly. I kind of like that. Yeah. I was like to say, like Newtown Park has just a random, wouldn't be random, but there's a lot of golf courses in John's Creek. When I moved here, I had a friend that said, oh, you moved to golf course city. But so the concept with that was not over indexing on dogs. Number two, but we also have a big golf community. Yeah, I like number seven and also by contrast, number 18, the most. Chapters? Yeah, that was cool. And then number seven is cute. Yes. There's a lot of history in John's Creek. The chapters are cool. Would we all be consensus on the dog statute concept? That just takes one of the spots. Yeah, so like with bronze or ceramic dogs and yeah, or painted or yeah, and the rap idea was great as a great idea. Painting a raptor, any of the other stuff. Right, exactly. I'll do it. They could be, you know, they could be any kind of style of dog of art. Like they don't necessarily all have to be Jim Collins style dogs. Yeah. Yeah. Girls, bronze, all that. ACM dog. That doesn't sound like something you would actually know. All right. No. So if we're if we're all in consensus on a dog statute concept of making the list, I I think that's one. That's one. That's one. Two slots left. The chapter? No, very simple. I like that one. I like it. I submitted it. Can I get a hand raise? Sure. 18 and 16. What's 16 the next two? 16 and 18. Statue number one and then 16 and then 18 or 18 and 16. 18 and 16. And y'all are done? We could be. How about this? Okay, I hear those are the three front runners. Cool. It might be helpful. Why don't you start from the very top? Mm-hmm. And go down the list, right? And then see what would make tier two. Let's say are there any others you would consider as like your next tier? I know what in keeping with the dogs, daffodils, slow. Because that's fairly unique. Daffodil is is anything for us. Yeah, 20 but yeah, daffodil. Yeah. If we want to add 20, I'm cool with that. I don't really notice I made a chain of creases in John's house. I'm thinking it isn't a new town park that has. Oh yeah, you're right. I was thinking about that park as a gift. One thing I will say is when you start putting things on fences, people start putting things on fences. Right. It's like highlighting something that might not be highlighted. I think we already have some like a defa dale like fake flowers in a polypricard, right? But it's so scattered. Yeah, so number 20, definitely, could be the second tier. Number one, because we've been used multiple. Number one is from the art and then where the kids are swinging in shelter. I could see a kid trying to slide down. Yeah. I'm a boy. Yeah. Interesting. There's a's a place up in coming. I can't remember the name of it. It's a work like a town centenary with a amphitheater for music shows and they've got interactive instruments that are permanent and kids are constantly on them. So it's one of those things like the interactive stuff. They're going to gather, they're going to gravitate to it. I remember a Weprich Park that in the playground, they have, you know, like I'm practicing instrument, whatever. Yeah, so kids love it. So not that because it's not original, but I'm just saying they are. The interactivity is a good idea. So number one is kind of cool too. So we got 20. We got number one, right? Cover number five. Kind of contemporary. The only thing that didn't resonate with, or there are a couple that didn't, but the painted crosswalks, I do think those can look really pretty sometimes, but they require upkeep. And for example, we have painted crosswalks over here that look really pretty cheap. Now that's permanent. And I would suggest we fix those before we do more. Yeah, I would agree with that. Sometimes they can become confusing too. I don't know what this is. And I think also if you find something that people can take pictures with. Oh yeah. So it's the things that cross out would be kind of hard. Right. Standing in the middle of road. Remember 22 is. Oh, I love the frame thing. Yeah, that was one of my favorites. I like the way that I looked. Are there views of what I was thinking to myself? there views of John's Creek that we would want to highlight? We don't have this guideline obviously, but is there? I just thought of number nine, I was looking at the picture, this is an interesting picture. How about we could we consider something where you put a block or something some of your block a cylinder and have school kids students Pain it it was it was in my list, but they said get down to five But look at these pictures they look like their community driven paintings That many Just maybe one or two columns. Yeah I look at these pictures, they look like they're community driven paintings, some of them. And it doesn't have to be that many. No, no. Yeah, just maybe one or two columns, yeah. Have the children dominate it with color? I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the frame. I'm going to do the into the list or do we have right to top the tier two or now we're going off the rails. I fear I have created a monster. I apologize. I fear I may have led you astray. Okay, so let me back up. Let me back up. So tier one, from what I heard from the discussion, was the concept of dog sculptures, of varying art types, right? Yes. In ways that may be interactive and engaging with the community. Landmarks, a hole in one. So the flag poles and potentially like mini-putting greens, right? And then chapters of the creek. So the books pages that might highlight city history. Yeah. So of those three, so that was tier one, of those few tier two that I heard, which there were couple. So the kinetic daffodils, okay, so that was definitely one. So number 20, number 22, the frames, and then number, number, I heard some interest for number 9, the utility box, wraps, correct. And then there was one other one that there was some interest for. Interactive, yeah, interactive public art number one. And there was interactive instruments. I heard some discussion for. I think the students, is it because we're open to anything being interactive, I think. Okay. So of those one two, that's four. Four. Okay, do we like, do you like any of those more than one of your top three currently? Because if the answer is no, then we have met. What was the size 22, what was the other tier two? So we have number one, number nine, number 20, and number 22. Which one did you like, Cynthia? I like the frame number 22. Better than the job. For me personally, that's just a pink for someone. I would put it like right below the docs. That's just me. And we don't have to number the top three. They can just be the top three together. Because I remember, I still have to do all the cost analysis. I still have to figure out logistics. So I want to make sure I give myself enough room, because I may start to get into this this and one of these may not be feasible for whatever reason. So let's not, I don't want us to be super married to any one of these ideas. These are, we're giving the council options of what we think would be a good fit. I like for what it's worth right now. I like the painted boxes, what was it number nine? Number nine, more than the Daffodils. And I only thought what the frames is. I'm just disguised by it. I'm not sure what view we would frame in John's Creek. Maybe I'm just, I don't see that. Like what's really special? The Daffodil, That's what I do, right? I like that frame, though. It's cool frame. Right. You know, that's just got to be some place. I'm sure. I'm sure. In the area, especially now, with the building and everything, what would really, you know? It could be in the park. You're right. Great, but it's a decent research. Yeah. I don't know. I'm just going to say it's fine. I'll go through the last week. It's changed. Yeah. It's not changed. I'm just advocating for the Interactive Club or Art number one in place of the Daffodils. It's like we're saying for anything Interactive when I take a's Creek besides dogs I think of families. So anything that you can get a kid out as far as playing on and then hey let's go to a restaurant kind of like a cafe was saying keep them in John's Creek, keep those dollars rolling and keep the advertisements. Yeah I think I like number No. So, would we put number one instead of? Instead of the defetail. 16. Yeah, yeah. So, all of those are still currently in tier two. Yeah, so would we put it instead of 16? 16, so we're pushing 16 and 1 rest. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I think we want to... I love the frames, but some of these are more interactive than others and I think that checks some boxes like with wellness and just getting out and activities and stuff. So, I don't know if I would swap any of the top three for the frame, but can I make it number four or, I don't know your thoughts. It's a committee decision. So I would offer we could potentially make it an alternate that I look into just looking at the scale of the example. It does seem to be a pretty large scale piece. So just a thought in terms of some of these other community place making examples typically they are of smaller scale and are numerous. Yes, that doesn't mean they have to be but depending on, you know, concentrating impact. I think we can keep this idea for some, maybe I mean, I like it a lot. As a second to, yes. But they keep it as a something else, a piece of art down the road. Well, perhaps it may make its way into some inspiration in the public art master plan. Exactly. Perhaps. Yeah. I might know someone who could make that happen. You go through the door to the selfie. For sure. I thought there was a climb on it. My son would climb on it. Make sure Mike's are on. My son would climb on it. My son would climb on it. I think so, does. Yeah, more than Lisa. I think I hear consensus for the top three options that you would like me to research and find more information on to present to council are Are the dog sculpture statues, the some sort of interactive public art, like the city of Asheville, and a couple specific examples I heard mentioned were interactive instruments? Yes. Were there any other specific ones that were mentioned that I missed? We say the chapter. The chapter is pretty good for them. Sorry, the interactive. Interactive examples. Oh. No, I think the instrument was the main example. Yeah. In one? Okay. Great. Perfect. You could go with hardware tools or cameras. Yeah. Who doesn't love a hammer? Right? Here's a place you can run with scissors here. Were the instruments you mentioned, Scott, at the focow campus in Versailles? Maybe. There was the 20, I thought it wasn't coming, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe coming? There were on 20 west of 400. Okay. The rest of our era was the centomer. If that, I might know something. Okay. It was up the hill. There's a... What type of instruments were like, zylophones and drums?ones and drums and there was something else I can't remember? Maybe like a heartbeat thing. Yeah. I've seen examples of that where it's almost like a guitar. It's like these strings in a circle. There was something close to that in here. So something just to give myself a little more room to research. Something that can be interactive for primarily kids, right? Something that engages them, that they can interact with and it interacts back with them. Maybe not necessarily something so big that they can like climate, right? Because those are usually bigger scale kind of pieces of art. I'm getting insurance. It's's going to peak their imagination. Because even if it's not henchman, I'm thinking of my head. When I was a kid, I loved those little cars that you put it like a quarter in. So maybe we do like a fire truck and like a police vehicle that has like John's Creek on the side. So maybe like a kid can I run in there and play with that or something like that. Yeah, something interactive that, yeah, the kid doesn't have to be an instrument. Like anything that you're interacting with. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, or, yeah, although it's not like unique, but you know, it's like creating a like family friendly and, you know, that kind of fits the character of John's Creek too. Exactly. Yeah. Absolutely. Family focus. Got it. Awesome. And then number three, chapters of the creek, or chapters on the creek, highlighting city history and or history of the region. Yep. Great. Okay. Awesome. And then, of course, none of these ideas are going to waste. Like, we will always have them. And I do appreciate everyone who did submit ideas taking the time to really dig and look through and pull great examples because we always need more inspiration to dream and think about not just what is now for the community but what the community could be next year, three years, five years, and we play you all play the biggest role in shaping that by dreaming right now. And you'll really get a chance to do that and help influence that as part of the public art master plan. So that will be really exciting. In ten years, we'll have a sundial. That's pretty cool. Yeah. The sundial was very cool. Very cool. Awesome. Well, if there's no other questions or closing thoughts, that concludes my presentation. Did you need to was there anything you need to circle back with international festival? You said you're going to do that later or? Oh, no. I my circle back was at the end of my staff. Okay. I didn't want to hit on it at the beginning before I got to talk about some of the other items. Thank you, Zach. Good. So, I think I'm going to motion to adjourn. Motion to adjourn and meeting. All in favor? It is, what? This is like 7th or 5th. Clock wrong what's 7th or 5th? Clock wrong hand, 7th or 5th.
