I'm sorry for the pledge. I pledge allegiance to the five of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God individual with liberty and justice for all. Thank you everyone. Welcome to winter, huh? First thing we have on our agenda, the approval of the minutes from last week and Chantaine Emotion for three minutes. Second. Second. Any corrections or changes in the minutes? I admit. All in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed? Same sign. We have a quote opening for the five points fire station exterior bay door reconstruction. And we have a quote from Spencer construction here in Mafia. In their quote for this project, we only have one, by the way, is $97,150 in no sense. 97,150.00.00. So that's our quote for that project. Chair, I'm going to's our quote for that project. Chair, I'm going to take that quote under advisement. Second. Second. Moving second. And all those in favor say aye. Aye. Thank you. We have another bid, under advisement. Lead service line replacement phase one. And that remains under advisement today. So we'll go on the new business. Lafayette renew. Good morning, Brad Talley, Lafayette renew. First item you have before you is task order number five for the wastewater master plan update. We've asked West Learn Engineering to provide us assistance in developing our wastewater master plan. And this update, we've added some additional scope for watersheds to be specific to evaluate. And so as we've gone through and looked at all this, the additional scope is in the compensation of the not-to-eak seat amount of $45,000 and I would recommend it for your approval. Okay. At Chantan Emotion, approve this task order number five, amendment number one. Second. Second. With West Row Engineering, I should add, I'll do that. This is the new term for me, sewer sheds. Sewer sheds, yeah. So basically we're looking. Sewer shed is what feeds a lift station, basically, in simple terms. And we have four of those. We have four additional that we have 20. I want to say we have a lot of those. Yeah. Okay. So we're trying to, you know, Steve's had his water master plan up here before you and so we're trying to accommodate what they're looking at as well. So we're just trying to make them consistent where we're both looking at the same areas. Our lift stations are obviously in different spots than the water mains so we're trying to coordinate all those efforts. Good, good. Thanks for that clarification. Anybody have any questions regarding this motion? Hearing none. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed same sign. Thank you. All right. And second, yeah, before you task order number seven for Prairie Oaks, permanent bypass with West Learn Engineering. Back when we had our emergency lining early this year, it was determined that there was some flexibility that we'd like to have in those, in those force mains that we didn't have at the time. So it's time when we bypassed the systems, we had a big overland bypass operation. And so we had the opportunity to go ahead and put in a, I call it a permanent temporary bypass. So it would be a permanent infrastructure and we could temporarily bypass with pumps and what have you. If we needed to, this will give us flexibility to evaluate the force mains in a different level than what we have now. And so we decided that was something that we wanted to have. So this interconnect is between the peri-oaks list, the station force main and the old Romney Road sewer that we lined a few years ago. And this is obviously for their services to design that, right? Yes, it's been designed. This would assist us in the design for that bypass. Yeah, okay. It's in the not to exceed amount of $30,000 and I recommend your approval. Okay, Lieutenant Motion approved task. Court number seven for the peri-oaks permanent re-bypass. So move. Second. Moving second and questions on that. Anybody have any questions? Are we done this in other places? So most, if not all of our lift stations, especially the smaller ones, they have what we call pump rounds at the station. So we could just have quick disconnection in bypass the station altogether. So pull from a sanitary and put into a force main. This is a little different, much larger scale. And so this is something that we've not done this specific application for a bypass before, but it's there's three force mains in one general really close vicinity of each other and it just open up the opportunity to put this in the ground. I mean, this is new to me. So as we build other areas, are doing building this redundancy in automatically? Yeah, I think so I mean the next biggest one would be the 11 B that we're working on and so we'll have some areas for maintenance there. Okay, different application but there'll be a triple force main on that one so we'll have more flexibility with that one. Okay, great, thanks. Okay, we have motion. A second to approve this task order number seven. Any further comments or questions? Hearing none, all those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed, same side. Thanks, Bradley. Okay, but but but we have that with that. We have claims. Good morning, Jeremy Diel, city controller. Controller's office has reviewed claims to ruling 2 million 791,272,045 cents. And I request the board's approval. Chair, I'd like to take an emotion to prove the claims. Second. Second. Moving second. Any questions on claims? One. Yes, Mr. Reddy. Of course. Page 11. Not questioning the claim, just what the project or whatever is. It's Alton, Woodseg described as Lafayette antique landfill delineation. What is it? That is an area that's been identified as having a story it was used as an historic landfill. It's over kind of behind city bus, right? In that area we're having to do some surveys of the area to determine exactly where the boundaries of the area is used as a landfill in the past. We approved the contract a couple weeks through through weeks ago about that. Okay. Same thing. Or some similar. Yeah. Okay. All right. Any other questions? Dr. Mehlm Page 8. I have two. The very bottom one, you be over refund deposits, I think I understand what that is, but that's a significant amount. And I was just curious as to why it was so large. Very bottom with page. Right. You know, I didn't examine that one specifically. It references a temporary certificate of occupancy refund. So it's huge. Yeah, well, a lot of times when there's a project the It references a temporary Certificate of Occupancy refunds. Yeah, well a lot of times when there's a project that's not absolutely Complete. We ask that the Constructor Put a deposit down to get their certificate of occupancy their temporary and We request 150% of the estimated work to be complete Then when it is finally complete, we give that refund back. Perfect. Thank you. Thank you for that. And then the city of Lafayette, four or five items above that bank transfer sewer lean money from typical and county deposit, just curious as to what that is. Those were both sanitary sewer and storm sewer leans assessed on properties. Oh, okay. And then after the June tax settlement when those were collected, they're... Okay, I understand. I do. That makes sense. Okay, thank you. Any other questions? Okay, I have a motion. A second to approve the claims. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed? Same sign. Thanks, Jeremy. Thank you. Thank you. We have a miscellaneous special vet request today. Pearl Harbor day. I think we have somebody here from to present that special vet request. Morning. I'm Robert Brown, a Marine that we have Marine Corp League here in town and we want to observe the memorial of Pearl Harbor in requesting 70 December this year. Great. We have your request. I don't think there's, I don't have any questions regarding the request. and the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the in favor say aye. Aye. I'll put the same sign. Thank you. Thank you. That was painless wasn't it? Anybody have any announcements they want to make for the board this morning? It's our agenda for the day. Christmas parade. Christmas parade. Saturday 530. Saturday 530. We're there. That's right. Anything else? If not, it needs a journey. Thank you. More board than El Nguyen. More than that.
