And I'll call upon Mr. Mike Finley the CFO and director of finance department Thank you Mayor Council Mike Finley chief financial officer the fiscal year 2018 budget that is being considered has four changes from the budget proposed on August 2017 to increase the social media marketing by 50,000 25,000 of which is funded from the proposed ending balance at 25,000 from reduction in unemployment costs. Create the citizen dream team advocacy funded by 12,000 and gas funds at one FTE for the police canine unit and add 24 firefighter positions to allow the department to plan for attrition and training academies. The city has conducted two town hall meetings as well as the required public hearing that was on September 5th. This is the second vote of the fiscal year 2018 budget mayor. Next we move to levying taxes for fiscal year 2018, Mr. Finley. Thank you, Mayor. The tax rate required to support the fiscal year 2018 budget is $63.98 cents per $100 valuation. State law requires a tax rate be adopted in two parts. The interest in sinking fund rate is $19.89 for 100 valuation. And the O&M rate is $44.09. Senate bill 1760 requires 60% of the governing body to approve the tax rate. There have been two public hearings on the tax rate August 22nd and August 31st both here in the Council briefing room. This is the second vote as well, Mayor. Okay, I'd like to call upon Council Member Katherine Walman. Thank you, Mayor. I move that the property tax rate be increased by the adoption of a tax rate of 63 and 9800s of a cent per $100 valuation, tax rate of 63 and 9800s of a cent per $100 valuation, which is effectively an 8.31% increase in the tax rate.
