Did you have anything you needed, Dad? Okay. Do you want me to ask you some questions? Okay, I could probably do that. All right, nothing for 12, nothing for 11, okay, 13. Other departments, 13A, discussion and approval of any appropriate action related to the 82nd legislative session, A to the court, Commissioner Mitchell, Commissioner Mershant, can we have anything we wish to discuss about the upcoming legislative session. No other than let me date I. Okay. Toad, you separately about a meeting that I had. Let me just say I had a meeting with John Felt as well as what's her name? Oh, I'm sorry. Yes. And Clary Anci, as well as Bert Solomon, our state representative, and on a conference call with our TAC attorney Jim Allison about possible legislation that would impact the water supply districts within our county, not only the one that we've been talking about, Castle Hills, but also that would affect all the other ones, not only in our county, but the state of Texas and state representative Solomon's had approached me about it and wanting to know some clarification of where we stood on that. That conversation happened. Jim Allison was going to look into some possible language as well as John Felt. We were trying to expedite it a little bit because of some ordinance or some discussion that City of Louisville were having in some boats that were coming up. And so Jim Allison is still looking at it in conjunction with the new ordinance at the city of Louisville past to see not the legitimacy of that ordinance, but to see if there's any way that any kind of legislation can be formulated to both benefit, to benefit everybody. The water supply district, the county as well as any municipality that might be in contract for any services that they're in the future. And if that sounds reasonable, it sounds okay. And if you guys are in somewhat of an agreement, then I'll continue to pursue that. I'd like to, you know, be kept in the loop. I talked to you about that. I know. I mentioned that he wanted'd like to, you know, be kept in the loop. I talked to you about that. I know. I mentioned that he wanted to work with you on that, but I'd like to see any proposed legislation. And I guess is, so, Miss Kianci's gonna keep the sheriff abreast of the proposal. That's why Miss Kianci was there to make sure that the sheriff's department, because they have the ultimate, if you would, enforcement, jurisdiction over unincorporated parts of the county. And so, I want to make sure any legislation that was written would not encumber their department or create a liability there, apartment that they're not willing to enable them to want to enable them to help people but not settle them with additional duties. That's why they were there. Okay well good. Yeah that's great. That's the positive step forward. That's all I had. I think there's probably going to be several bills. I know that one fellow. I sent you that email. Yeah I'm forwarded to John and Claire. That's some of the language that Jim Allison is looking at. I'd like to see, I know it's like whatever the final bill is, I'd like to be able to take a look. Now, I, as soon as that will bring it back here, look at anything that goes out because it needs to full blessing of this Commissioner Court. He agreed to kind of, is he going to carry it? Or he'll carry it if he feels comfortable with it. Some of Bert's reservations, he does not want to give the water supply district any more authority to regulate. Self-regulation, self-regulating authority where they can start doing exactly what Castle Hills did. You know, I was telling you, I met with some of the fellows from Castle Hills yesterday, and you know, it seems like they all want to get home-roll authority, but the residents don't seem like they have any ability to participate in the governance, or if they do, it's really hard for them to get involved, or they have to take extraordinary measures to get on the board. And so it's kind of, yeah the things that how do we graduate the kind of home rule authority? I mean, to win the residence or control as opposed to giving it off the well. I mean, that's what Bert represented Solomon said that he would like to see any legislation in any hyper regulations that it would go before the majority vote of the citizens within the district. In fact, some of this proposed legislation says that in order for, let's say that the legislature gave the county the opportunity to regulate speed limits on non-public roads within the county. And the only way that the county would even start that process is through petitioned through the majority of the land owners within that water supply district for the commission's court to do it to begin with. So he was very very high on participation of the actual citizens within that water supply district of determining their own fate and not a government entity coming and putting it on top of it. That's kind of what those fellows I met with Castle Hills expressed frustration in getting resident representation on the districts and the age of difficult process to get it done. And that's what America is all about, it's happened. But the problem with that is, like you said, they're wanting home rule ability But their their communities were not set up on that basis. They were set up on piece of legislation and it has That's restricted. Yeah, I'd agree. I mean, I'm I'd be very reluctant to do home-ill authority until I think the residents are fully You know until it's a resident run You know, I mean as opposed to developer appointed run. So anyway, that's the discussion, so I have a hand. Great. All right, anything else, Commissioner Mitchell? Do you have anything to discuss? All right, let's move on to item V, approval of David, Dryden's appointment to the Transportation Citizen Committee. Any proof? Any inappropriate action? Okay. I'll second. All those in favor, please say aye. Aye. We have several of these that's on here that have no conflict of interest statements attached. Yes, those are going to be pulled. Yeah, but there are even some more that's on the historical commission that have some that have no conflict of interest statement. Okay. Well, let's go ahead and pull that then until we get to the point. And I don't know if we need to just where they give them to you, Barbara, or were they sent right to? Thank you. They sent them. Okay. Because I believe it's important that we do have those comments. Oh, I agree. It's on there. I believe there was no issues with my appointments today. I didn't have any. Yes. I didn't think so. Okay. Let's just go ahead. I was just going to see which ones we had. I pulled them. There is a Veronica. You want to prove them. Everybody who has a conflict of interest statement, or do you want to just pull it and let it all be? Can I ask you something? Uh-huh. That's because I'm a little bit unclear on the policy in Barbara. When we reappoint them do we do they just maintain the same application and the same complicate of interest statement they send new ones yeah I ask for new ones every time but I would ask this table and book okay so I'm taking a look at it. Yeah. Yes, well, thinking okay. So we probably want, okay, so let's go ahead and table. BCB. I think BC, the BC and D have conflict of interest statements because those are I thought we're gonna They just re-important E and F Because I got an email from Don't worry. He's Chief administrator for F and asked to pull that so then we would pull also E and F From the agenda and then go forward with A with BC and D. You have conflict events with statement so much those run. I don't have my packing. Yeah, I haven't here you know I did your appointments have the conflicts wrong. Yeah. I don't want to pull yours but Andy's not here. So we'll pull. And some of the other ones with the historic commission. I think when we when we did the agenda, they may have just gone dropped because they made double copies. And so maybe. We'll fix it next week. So let's go ahead and we'll pull item 13E in 13 F and we'll have that reposted next week. But let's go ahead and proceed on 13 B approval. Did we already have a motion and approval on that? Okay. Okay, so on B. Everyone in all in favor of 13 B, please say aye. Aye. The motion passes unanimously. Unanimously. Aren't we thinking about building space for Andy? What is our? It's two years. It's a question. I mean, where are we at with that? And would, are we two years away from any Construction or a year away from construction.
