I also want to remind everyone that today is election day, constitutional amendments on the ballot. And we have other locations in the county where there's other questions. I believe we've got a city council person. And Louisville being elected. We've got. Oh, that's the same with the 10th. Okay, well we've got wet dry elections and another thing. Open election in Flare Mountain. And unfortunately so far in early voting we've had a pretty pathetic turnout, so I want to encourage everybody to please go exercise that right. Members item two is a consent agenda. I need to pull items two A and 2B because we have no inter-divisional transfers and we have no order making appointments this morning. So are there questions on 2CD and E or do we have a motion for approval? We have a motion by Commissioner Mitchell. Seconded by Commissioner Coleman. Hearing no questions, all in favor, please say aye. Aye. Opposed, Cine? Motion does carry. Consent agenda today to see is approval of payroll. 2D is approval of budget amendment quest 100140 for computer equipment for operating equipment. For shares, forfeiture funding, the amount of $660. This is really for recording purposes only. And 2E is approval of budget member request 100150 for computer software maintenance for facilities management in the amount of $16,499. 3E is a presentation of achievement of excellence and procurement award for 2011 to Denton County purchasing for the 16th year in a row. That's pretty amazing. If you'll allow me a minute here to read the letter that accompanied this. So letter to me is County Judge. The subject is Achievement of Excellence and Precurement Award. The Achievement of Excellence and Precurement Award. The Achievement of Excellence in Precurement Award is Design, I'm sorry, is designed to recognize organizational excellence in procurement. And we put together a lot of things that we bring to you and ask for your support and you do support them. Also have a phenomenal staff that works very hard and I'm very proud of them and what they do for the county. They really have the county's best interest at heart. And I also want to thank technology services. Without the technology they provide us us this wouldn't be possible we make it easy for the suppliers to have access to the county and also the end users to have access to the procurement functions so thank you very much. That's great and bottom line is the taxpayers of the county that really and we're very proud of you and congratulations. Okay, we'll now go to item number five, which is 5A approval of the bill report, payments from CSCD, community decretions, TAP, shares training, shares forfeiture, VIT interest DHA, check the NDA, forfeiture funds are represented for recording purposes only. Good morning, James Wells. the interest D.A. Check the NDA, for future funds are represented for recording purposes only. Good morning, James Wells. Boarding Judge and commissioners, I'd ask approval bills with the four deletions that are noted on separate page that all had various processing errors. And in one addition, a small payment to recovery health care that needs to be expedited. That's all corrections I have. Thank you. Other questions from members of the court? Do we have a motion? Motion by Commissioner Ead, seconded by Commissioner Mitchell. Here are no questions. All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Opposed to the city. Motion does carry. Six A is acceptance of a donation of $8,640.75 and that county's operation Support Unit OSU for the additional funds added towards the purchase of a minivan for the OSU use and will calm that Fleming. During the budget process it was presented to both the Vehicle Assessment Committee and Commissioner's Court that the OSU would help support the purchase of a new vehicle. So the committee or the Commissioner's court committed 15,000 and they decided they would pick up the rest of it. The initial intent was to get a used unit. We were able to find a brand new one on the lot for about the same price. So we ended up going ahead and getting the 2012 unit and we have already received the funds in the amount presented from OSU. Thank you. Other questions from members of court? We have a motion by Commissioner Ease. Seconded by Commissioner Marchant. All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Opposed, Sen. Motion does carry. On 7B, this is approval of Budget Member Quest 1-001-70 during case revenues from deferred revenue museums, donations and allocate expenditures for repairs and maintenance for historical part facilities in the amount of $11,743 and we had an email yesterday from Donna saying that we have a corrected agenda packet for agenda item 7B regarding historical part facilities. The amendment was prepared using an incorrect code for the increased revenue side of the amendment instead of using revenue code 2308 deferred revenue museum donations. It should have been 3706.00 increased revenue from museum donations. And Donna prepared corrected backup material. Are there any questions on this item? Or do we have a motion? We have a motion by Commissioner Eads. Second by Commissioner Marchand. Hearing no questions, I'll only favor please say aye. Aye. Opposed, the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? Opposed to the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? Aye. Opposed to the seat? only. Chair will move for approval. Seconded by Commissioner Marchant. On favor please say aye. Aye. Opposed? Cine. Motion does carry. 8A is approved, placing slot number 934-SO. This is Chair's Deputy Chief Deputy Chair of the Broadband V Series. Amy, good morning. Good morning, Judge and members of the court. I'm placed this on the agenda after the action that you took last week with respect to this position in the salary. This is a unique position in that it oversees probably a third of the county's employees. Exercise is pretty broad discretion for a position that's not an elected official or department had position over a very large budget. And I thought that your, the action that was taken by the court last week indicated that the court did not necessarily agree that the position should be in the employee ranking system and was more appropriately placed in broadband. And so I thought I'd bring that today and give you the opportunity to consider moving that to a broadband if that's what the court prefers. I think that's a good idea to the broadband position. Mr. Mitchell. Amy, is it going to be moving all of those jobs that particular? It's that one position. It's currently in the pay grade position as a pay grade 20. Right. Believe it's the only position that is in a pay grade 20. And I think that's about where most of the department had positions would rank out in the system if they were in that particular system. So at this present time, this is the only one that we're going to be considering. That's correct. Any other questions or comments concerning this posting? I'll move for approval. We have a motion by commission or colon. Second. Second by commission or marchin. I'll come in that you know I'm you know I if we're not going to follow policy, I guess this is probably the best thing to do because it doesn't make sense to have a policy if we're not going to follow it. So it's just changing. We'll help that then. So be it. Any further questions or comments all in favor of the motion? Please say aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed to the motion? Does Carrie carry I inadvertently miss 7 a let's go back to that 7 a is approval budget member quest 1 0 0 1 1 0 to increase revenues allocate expenditures for rollover unencumbered or an expended 2009 Homeland Security grant funds from fiscal year 2011 to 2012 for a total amendment of 125,597. So moved. Motion by Commissioner Marchand. Seconded by Commissioner Coleman hearing no questions. All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Opposed, Cine? Motion is carried. 8V is approval of correction of the in-network family deductible on the PPO medical plan, LeCaulan Amy. Thank you, Judge. This item is to correct a clerical error in a previous placement as the communication explains the PPO in-net network deductible is increasing for the employee as is the in network family deductible. Other questions from members of corridor do we have a motion? Shouldn't we? Why we raise it up so high? From the 250, is that? One of the things that has been looked at in the last year as we examined our program was comparing some of our deductibles to what's traditionally seen out there on the market. And ours for this particular area were quite a bit lower than what the industry is seeing. And so it was recommended that they be increased in the board approved that. These are the deductibles that are reflected in the enrollment materials and in the application right now. Thank you most your proof. We have motion by Commissioner Marchant. The chair will second it if further questions or comments. You're not only favor please say aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed to name. Aye. Motion carries. Foreign favor one. aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed to the name? Aye. Motion carries. Foreign favor, one opposed. 10A is approval to relocate or you eastern rise of the administration complex and dedicated additional right away to the city of Denton. Approval of additional services by HDR to coordinate with the city of Denton and construction group is recommended by the Denton County Construction Manager, Michael Tugio. Good morning, Michael. Good morning, Judge. Good morning, commissioners. This issue has been discussed previously, but we've just fallen up with some more formal action. As you know, we went through a city variance, through city council, to get the two drives along May Hill Road while back. Part of the conditions of that variance was for us to pay for the deceleration lanes and the public improvements to sidewalk along May Hill Road. The City came to us and discussed an agreement where we could work with them and provide them some additional right away along that May have road that we weren't necessarily using. So this is that revised sketch and what that does is that basically we would do a you know two drives like we talked about but the north drive is shifted south from where it was previously. The reason for that is is a couple things. One is going to line up with a city drive on the east side of the road so we can get a left turn lane in. The other part to that is just north of our property is a part of that natural waterway where our water feature is. So if we were to do a deceleration lane as part of that waterway we'd have to fill into that and you know what process that took to get the waterway approved so that that's probably a two to three year process, just to be able to do a turn lane. So it really wasn't going to work. So I think we have this compromised worked out with the city where it's kind of a give and take between both of us. And this is the sketch, kind of a rough sketch of what Mayha Road will look like when it's all done. Our north drive will be for the trucks to get back to the truck dock and to adult probation. Trucks, I mean tractor trailers. The South Drive could be used for any kind of box trucks and employees. And I think the site works with what we originally planned. There were some very important things as we were developing the site plan that we went through that were There were some very important things as we were developing this site plan that we went through that were We were able to still keep with this this revised plan They have a question commission Mitchell on the right away was that then counties right away It was it was our part of our property. Yes. I was part of our property So we didn't we didn't buy any right away from the city did we and their project? So we didn't we didn't buy any right away from the city did we and their project? No, we purchased the property as a whole and there was a right away down the middle and we're actually just shifting it Towards our property a little bit from where I just want to make sure we we didn't buy right away for the city when we were preparing that doing that road for the city Ultimately this saves us a little bit of money, doesn't it? Yeah, I mean, we haven't got the details, but it will save us some money. I don't know the exact amount. I'm not, but. And it's a better solution for us because we're able to get the left hand. That's the main thing. Moving our property back. Yes, it is. Good. Are there other questions? One other kind. We will follow this up with an actual contract amendment for the design services. We've been coordinating a little bit. We've talked to you, you know, hunting construction and HDR in the city and we're having to move fast on it because they're out there moving dirt right ago. So there's going to be some really needs to be a cooperation between everybody on it. The project is really coming along. If you have not been over there recently to the site, I encourage you to go by and take a look at it. They are really moving dirt and giving out the site plan and to plumbing in. It's really taken shape. Thank you, Michael for all your help with that. I'll move for approval. Thank you. We have a motion by Commissioner Manez. Check it. Seconded by Commissioner Marchand, are the further questions? Any none? All in favor of the motion, please say aye. Aye. Opposed, Sainine? Motion is carrying. 10B is a pro contingency allowance authorization number one in the amount of $60,194 for administrative complex phase two is recommended by the didn't kind of construction manager this CAA includes PCO number four a R2 in the amount of seventy one thousand five hundred four dollars in PCO number two are two and a credit in the amount of 20,000 dollars in PCO five are one in the amount of $8,690. Might take a little explanation of this matter. Yeah, this is our first CAA of the project. Basically, the item one is one half or one portion of some discussion with some building department comments that we went through. I know in phase one, the process we went through with the city trying to get a permit process was a struggle. And then on phase two, we did some improvements to that. And since we've been through that, we've actually discussed it with all the people over the city and come up with even a better solution to get some of this incorporated into the original bid. These particular items, we got the, basically the building side covered, but the engineering side we hadn't had covered when we bid it. So there's some engineering items. This is part of it for underground utilities that we had to modify during after we went out to bid. Item one, as you see in your backup, is basically some underground piping. We had to change some sizes, some locations, things like that. And there's some credits and ads and that and it's all itemized out for you to look at. Item two is to delete some probe holes. What that is is when you're drilling the peers, you basically, one, what was in the specs was to provide a probe hole, which they do. It's basically a test boring of that hole. And then they swap out the drill, but for the actual drill, but to do the peer. And when you talk to the geotech engineer or structural engineer, they said it wasn't needed. So we were able to get a credit back from for that process. The third item was the SWIP provisions. We had some drawings issued to Haunt with some SWIP information when we actually got in the field. It was a request that we had some check-dams and some additional measures for erosion control to help the environment. So we went ahead and we had to do those. So that's the three items I don't know if there's any more. Thank you. Other questions from members of court? Do you have a motion? The motion by Commissioner Eans second. Second. Second by Commissioner Marchand hearing no further questions on favorfully say aye I Oppositing motion is carried. Thank you Michael the motion by commissioner Marchin second and by commissioner Coleman questions. You none on favor please say aye aye opposed sitting motion does carry 14 V is approval the 2011 2012 interlocal corporation agreement for library services between getting county Texas and one Aubrey area library city of Aubrey and two Justin community library city Justin. Motion by Commissioner Ead seconded by Commissioner Mitchell. All in favor please say aye. Aye. Opposed to the name. Motion does carry. Before we go into executive session under item 17 future meetings I thought it might be good to take a look at holiday schedule here for Christmas and New Years, Christmas is here as follows on Sunday. And that's a lot of people go out of town that week. What I'm going to suggest to you is that we cancel court on the 27th. But we hold court the following week on July 3rd. July? July. July 3rd. I'm sorry. Don't cheer, Donna. Don't cheer. January 3rd. My question is, is that going to cause problems for anybody? For our auditor or HR? Are you okay with that? We need to hold any special meetings to pay any bills. If we just cancel the 27th Tuesday the 27th of December but we meet the following week on the third is that okay? Okay. I just thought it kind of helps if we can plan these things in advance. All right. With that, we'll go to item 15, which is executive session. 15A is executive session, pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.087 deliberation regarding economic development and negotiations, close meaning to discuss to deliberate regarding commercial financial information that the government body has received from a business prospect that the government body seeks to have locates, they are expanding in or near the territory of the government body located in D&C. Commissioner precinct two, and with which the government body is conducting economic development negotiations or to deliberate the offer of a financial order and send it to such a business prospect and with that we're an executive session. We have a United Way kickoff meeting. I guess we'll call it. It's going to start at 10.30 and so I'm going to recess commissioners' court until 10.30 because I'd like for the whole thing to be captured on video to help promote the kickoff of the United Way campaign. I'm sorry. And neighbor to neighbor, you're right. So with that, we are in recess until 10.30. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm going to go to the next floor. I'm okay now it's on commissioners quarters reconvened from recess and actually we're back on agenda item one for public input but first I'm going to call on commissioners. Thank you judge. It's that time of year nationwide but also here at the county that the United Way is doing their annual pledge drive and we know the importance of the United Way and the county. We personally fund out of the county coffers, many nonprofits here in the county, but we're also looking for the help from our county employees. We know this is tough times and in different individual household budgets. It's also a tough time for our nonprofits and hearing the county. And so we're really looking to have a large turnout and a large participation individually. And by departmental, we really hope the departments will challenge one another here in the county with different office holders to contribute. And we hopefully get every all our county employees to contribute. The didn't county, United Way serves the northern part of the county. And I'm going to have Commissioner Mitchell talk about a neighbor to neighbor which services the southern part of the county. We do have some guests here. And if you're watching as a county employee, I hope you play close attention to the video and the presentations are going to do. We will also have individual departmental meetings where you can fill out your pledge forms and answer any questions they may have. Okay and it's my understanding we have a video presentation. In addition to the United Way campaign, many of you all know that back in 2007, we had a greater, looser, United Way, in addition to the Den, United Way. And we worked in the southern end of the county. And the United Way didn't work in the northern end of the county. At that time, the United Way of Dallas decided that they were going to do a way with our committee, and the Northern and the county. At that time, the United Way of Dallas decided that they were going to do away with our committee, the United Way, Greater Louisville United Way, which incorporated the City of Louisville, Flower Man, Holland Village, and the colony, and other areas. And so we decided, we were going to have to go to Dallas and be a part of a great big board, have one vote on that board. So we decided in order for us to keep our funds locally that we were going to go with the United Way of Denton. Well, we found out doing that that we could not incorporate with the United Way of Dent because the city of Dallas many years ago, before many of us got involved, had taken our zip codes and without the zip codes, we could not do a campaign to unite with the United Way of Denton. It is my desire that we will in the future all be able to have a United Way Dent County rather than a Southern Dent County neighbor because we're all Den County residents. We want to keep our money locally. The United Way, excuse me, the United Way, we formed a committee from the members that were owned the Greater United Way Board. All of us are volunteers. We don't have any executive directors to handle the money. We fund some of the same committees at the United Way here in Denda. So it was my desire at this time when we this year to fuss to have a county-wide campaign that included the United Way Denda and maybe to Navy and our Executive Director for United Way Gary Henderson graciously agreed and Jody Mon, graciously agreed and Commissioner Eads, we tapped him and said come on in, we need you and he graciously agreed and so here we are today to ask for funds for the United Way DIN and Neighborhood to Neighborhood, all over DIN County, not just in the Southern Area, not just in the DIN Area, but all over the DIN County. Because we all serve charities, social services, agencies that are in DIN County. We want to make sure that they have plenty of money to do what they need for the people that are in need. Back recently about two months ago, the United Way Dallas County cut some of the funds for the agencies that they were serving. So we have to pick up the pieces. I know we all are stressed. I'm talking about the stress, but we still have to help out what we can. And I think uniting these two agencies together will do just that. We can work together because after all, we're didn't count. We can all work together and make sure that the needs of our citizens are taken care of. Maybe one of us, some of us are just the one step above having to have some help. So we're going to do all we can, and we invite it all the department heads. And if you can't be here and you don't have anyone to send We can go back to the deployments. We're going to give give you packages You can take back to your employees and fill them out and you can give to either organization or I'd like for you to give to both organization so just thank you for taking the time to be here and Today, I know I see our staff members sitting over there they probably say we didn't have a choice but I don't believe that I think they're here because they want to help because I know their hearts so I appreciate you guys staying and being here I know you're busy but I appreciate all you do for us and I just I am excited because I know we're gonna have a great campaign we're gonna get out here and we're going to do great things I think the judge already had an angel tree in her office that's coming up. We're going to do great things for Din County and we're going to show everybody what is right about Din County. All right. Gary Henderson. Good morning, Gay. First of all, I'm standing in the office. I'll only say this at microphone on. I want to say thank you, Judge Horn, for this outstanding opportunity. As a Denton County resident for over 22 years. This is home and this is an exciting moment for us to be in partnership with Neighborhood and Neighbor, United Way, a countywide campaign. I need to say thank you to Commissioner Eads for joining the United Way of Denton County Board. Thank you to Commissioner Mitchell for opening up an avenue to meet with the neighborhood of the neighborhood board and really embrace and create this partnership. I thank you to Dr. Burton for his outstanding support year after year in the United Way efforts including our community-based needs assessment that he is lending both expertise and data to our work. Very briefly, I want to tell you, these are not normal times for our community in Denton County. When our state legislature wrestled a $27 billion deficit to the ground, January to June, it left our social service community with dramatically fewer funds to do work with. Every workplace campaign, I've had the honor to speak before this year. I have tried to impress upon our community the need for us to take care of our own. Denton County must take care of its own. For the employees of Denton County. You do that every day. We just need to call on you in one additional way to pay attention to this United Way Neighborhood and Neighbor campaign. And as one county, let's see what we can do for those in need. We're gonna let our neighbor to neighbor, represent and speak, and then we have a video to share with you that really encapsulates, I think the greatness of Denton County, three stories based here locally about people who love this community. Morning. My name is Mike Cressler and I'm honored to serve on the Neighbor-Denabor Board as the Vice Chair and Campaign Chair for the 2010-2011 Campaign. This is a real honor. I've spoken before a lot of groups over my 25 years involved with the United Wave, but this is the first time I've had the honor of addressing a county commissioner. So it's a new experience. Number one, I want to address the department heads. We all carry titles. Some of them we wish we didn't carry. Poor, abused, there's a number of ways that we describe people. But department heads carries with a knowledge that you've achieved something that you're responsible for, performing tasks, accomplishing things and so forth. And that's all we're asking for today. Carry the message back. The famous bridge over Lake Lewisville is truly a separating segment of the county. I mean, at times people act as if it's the worst thing that ever happened to Denton County. I always laugh and say it's the best thing because there's growth. There's people out there, both on the north side and the south side that contribute to the vitality of Denton County. But there also brings with it people, people with problems, not of their own making oftentimes, but people that have run into problems. And I always think of two groups, the children and the older folks. And at 67 I guess I probably think of myself more and more every day but those two groups oftentimes don't have the voice. We don't have a way to address their needs so the charities that we support and I'm honored that we were able to pair with Denton County United Way this year. This is a huge achievement, I think, for all of us. But by addressing those two groups, it keeps me invigorated each day. Because I know that those are the people that are going to be most touched by what we do each day when we raise a dollar worth of support for them. We have huge needs, Gary can address those briefly, but we also have huge opportunities. A dollar from a million people to me is better than a hundred thousand dollars from ten people. I've always felt that. They call it something about skin in the game. I guess that's it. But for those of you that work for Denton County, I just asked that you think about that. When you stop at 7.11 and you buy $5 worth, think about the 50 cents that might be able to go towards a contribution. An employee campaign helps us out immensely, because what it allows us to do is project what we're going to have in terms of revenue. So with that said, this is the pledge form. The United Way of Denton County was so kind as to put our logo up on top. You can check off to support neighbor to neighbor and in a way support what goes on south of the bridge. But let me assure you that we are all part of a greater organization and that's the people and employees of Denton County reaching out to help those that need us. Thank you very much for the microphone. Make sure it's hot. Is that... I'm going to do a scale and five, but it won't cause me to see. I had so many enemies who had been in the relationship and because I didn't in myself, I was able to talk. I'm from the world. I am Mary, pregnant. I am five. I believe I'm a pregnant, a breast child, a breast child. And I'm just the South of the hill, with the birds who were there, and I was still out there, I was right on it. When you took me, I like to see, what this is on that piece. Flash, I just don't know mine. And it's like it's just a door. I'm gonna turn the things shaking, and my mom's gonna pick up. And when I woke up, I thought it feared that I'd keep it. I had to get out. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't get a word of shelter. I was saying that from, I just didn't know. And when I got to get to home, I was like, I prayed at night, cried at night. I'm a little further up. I pray that I cry that I can use this in the day on how it's gonna be okay. Hope talked to me about the English and English and how I can program. And I'll tell you the truth. I had to work in a service office. I decided I didn't feel like I finished those. So I'll go back to TWA. And I'll go to my degree in social work. The public stay in my marriage, I'm proud of what I've been. I'm really in. You know, I have one key in college. I have a grade level 4. I like this grade. I like this grade. I like this grade. I like this grade. I'm going to start with the same day. that I would give if it and her blessing I think the whole of us. I'm doing all of this. I could be my car. I could be bus, stop all of this, be kitchen, I would be bus, right? Right on the school bus with the children. I could be the coppers, I could be the class room. I served on board. I've always smarted in the kitchen. I've shopped a lot of dishes in the picture. I've shocked a lot the vision was in the picture. And I was instrumental in getting their first scene for me to get started. I think education early in my career in the world, the first steps in then ready to read, the first steps in the classroom. One of the children only have 90 things in their house. And it's wonderful to watch them learn how to handle books and love to read stories. When you see what all of you succeed in something, you go, hey, do that to me, it is love to read stories. When you see what all you've succeeded, something you go, hey, do that to me, it is love to travel so. I think that there will be a lot of difficulties. If I didn't have the patience that they hear me to learn by land, it costs less to educate a child, than to pay that child's way through life, or to pay that child's way to your life, or to pay that child's way to prison, or pay that child's way to a cruel situation all over her, and there are all those kinds of things. An education of a lot cheaper. I think that it has changed lives in a very positive way. And we've got united ways in me. We don't just wear the tarp is, we need a few times. My name is Jason Smith. I'm a half-year-old. I'm a small physicist. I have no thesis. We were doing the little one. I had several trucks. What year of boys? You were taught six, seven days a week. I mean, we mention everything about home, the state reading, all the time. This is a very, very, very good. The job part of the city is poor. The work is stuck in the unit. I started at the end of the summer. I got to go to the robot office because most of the things that I did since the beginning I was thinking now that I don't like the stuff don't sleep. You sleep. You don't. Maybe you can't fix it. You just can't. Yes. You can't. You can't. You can't fix it. You can't wake up at that time. you know, was the other one there. I gave you a few units of faith and sat down and walked with a comma and a comma was just faith and faith. A lot of people, a lot of people. and they even used us to hope and portray and will help us with any kind of mental and the entire month of the month is now that same as one of the rich. He had not been living a lot of precious children to the rich. The reason for it actually is that if the farm's suffering this has started to pick up oncoming entire resources and it looks to be the same. So I'm sorry to describe so much. So I'm so, really, so proud that I can. And it feels good. It was actually what they're not really, what they're not telling. And look, so that they smile and be met and understand. There are all kinds of community projects and organizations that the United Way supports, and I think it makes the community come together as a community and support. Big entities are our last name, and what I want to do is to every single people, not get I think some of the people that I can't help. Throughout the years, how do I make those programs useful? And sometimes I would cheat a guy. Now I regret pension of pain because now I'm on the other side of the fence. And now I know what that means to you. It means the pain of pain, it means getting together, it means feeling, it means moving, moving, moving. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm say thank you to the folks of Salad Udi who generously donated the time to prepare that video. Well, we have Linda Rattland for this today too. Good morning, Linda. Did you wish to say something? Yeah, thank you so much for having us here today. It's been my pleasure to serve on the United Way Board, and this is my second year being involved in the public sector campaign. So this year, I would like to throw down the challenge to Denton County to match or beat the city's contribution this year. And we can come up with a different consequence if you like, but I'm suggesting that maybe the loser of the challenge wear a t-shirt of the other organization at a Commissioner or Council meeting and then announce why they're wearing it and let everyone know that they were working very hard for United Way to Race Funds for the community. I'm sorry. I'm hoping that the Commissioner's Court and Judge will accept my challenge. Okay, great. Thank you so much. Great. Mark's going to look good in that dim county t-shirt. No competition here, but that's great. Sounds wonderful. My question to you is, we have this form, that's the sign up form. Is there a way, I mean, this has multiple pages to it. Can we make this available online for our county employees to get to or do they actually have to have the hard copy document? For, I think we could probably do that, but we were gonna do departmental visits if we need, if necessary, the United Way was willing to make their rounds and have smaller meetings and get. We're happy to do whatever is most effective for the county, but we'll certainly back up Commissioner Eads offered to be out into the departments and to provide we have the forms here today. We have materials We can bag up for the departments that are here the quantity and need a focal point in terms of We can But we can. That's back on. Gary, what is our time frame on the campaign? We find the best campaigns usually close within 7 to 10 days of kicking off not to drag it out too long but Really the key is out in the departments carrying back the message if you could share the video Would love if you want us to come out someone from my staff or myself to come out and speak for two or three minutes to your department We'll make that offer the commissioners have incredibly busy schedules, but we'd love to have you out if you're available also. And we will do the same thing neighbor tonight. And we can you know carry each other's message also. I'm going to speak about neighbor tonight. I'm certainly going to talk about the United Way also at the same time. Another reason that I wanted to do this during commissioners court during the public kind of form is a portion of the meaning is it's being videoed so if somebody wants to just click on it they can watch on it on their computer and it also goes out on cable. Thank you for that. It's readily available that way and they can see your nice video presentation. Okay well I'm up for the challenge so it sounds great. Is anything else anybody else wanted to add? Great. Perfect. Okay and for anybody watching that needs a contact who is the primary person? If they can, if they can, they can, you know, line and look for the didn't county United Way of Labor question, they can call make my office. It's not a problem. We're all for all of the time. I think these folks are, they can see from the left hand, they're waiting for the police. They can see from the front hand, but my preference, these are preference, you know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I out there and I would be happy to answer any question anyone from the county has Gary at United Way Denton.org. Thank you. I want to give her email. Eager's. We need you at the microphone. I always talk about them. Yes, it's Michael at my C-A-E-L dot Cressler C-R-E-S-S-L-E-R at valic-V-A-L-I-C dot com. And we also have our neighbor to neighbor website and you can collect a lot of information there if you need it. I'll also be sticking around afterwards if anybody here has questions or concerns, wants to introduce themselves to me and see how I could be a service to their efforts. I'll be happy to do that. I just want to stress both agencies are on the same form. So if you get that form, if United Way drops it off at the office, that is for both groups. So you can look on this very clearly outlined. You can check one or both boxes. Orbs, county wine. County wine. Great. You have some of the hurts. Thank you all for hurts. Thank you all for being here. I appreciate it. Now look forward to seeing Mark in that t-shirt. We're adjourned.
