And I've asked Commissioner Bobby Mitchell to read the resolution. For as Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church located in the City of Dent within the 10th Episcopal District in the State of Texas and the women of Saint James celebrate the 52nd Women Day on March 16, 2014 with the the theme of Christian women have faith. Mark 1122. And whereas, St. James AME is the oldest African American church in Dinn County, in existence of 139 years. And whereas, the church began celebrating Women's day in March 1962, as a way to allow women an opportunity to be keenly involved in the structure development and implementation of worship service at least one time a year. As during the 1960s, the role of women in spiritual leadership had not yet evolved. Over time and continued belief in God, the role of women in leadership in the AME Church has come full circle. And whereas Christian women have an unshakable, no nonsense kind of faith that moves mountains in the lives of their families and communities and within their church. Christian women possess a strong faith and strive to please God for Hebrews 11.6 says without faith it is impossible to please him to be women of this kind of faith Takes it unrelenting love for God and whereas today with 52 years of celebrating women in the church who love God The women of St. James have stayed the cause through the strong faith, obedience, and relationship with God. With God's grace, these Christian women boldly embrace this 52nd year of celebration and look forward to future years because they have faith.
