Bless the commissioners court and every decision they make. Your name we ask at all men. Please join me. I pledge allegiance to the United States of America and to the Republic which is states when the nation under God is indivisible with liberty and justice for all. On the Texas flag, I believe it's too easy. Actors. I will say under government one. In the middle. Thank you. Item one is for public input for items not posted on the agenda. If there's any member of the public that would like to address commissioners court, we ask that you please complete a public comment form. They're available on the side table. I want to remind everyone to please turn off your cell phones and pages. And we have some wonderful guests with us this morning. So in consideration of their time, I'd like to first go to item 3A on the agenda. 3A is a presentation of the Texas Historical Commission's Distinguished Service Award to the Denton County Historical Commission for outstanding preservation work accomplished in the 2013 year service. And Beth, are you going to address this this morning? Good morning. Go right ahead. Well, thank you very much for letting us be here and inviting us here to receive this Distinguished Service Award. And it's something that we have received. I understand for a long, long time. We've not been able to get the actual records. I know THC has said we've definitely been on the list since 98 since they started keeping a list. But I'm wanting to recognize, first of all, the members of the Denton County Historical Commission that are here today, if y'all would just stand. And I'll start over here. This is Barry Carr and Bill Coleman, Jane Fland, Charlotte Mooneyhan, Lloyd Webb, Renelle, no, but quite Renelle, Connie Baker, and Elp Bradford, and Leslie Coleman, just step in. And Andy Eads, of course, of course, of course. You know, in looking back, I have been chairman for the 2013, 2014 year. So I had to look back at what we had accomplished in 2013, because we're always moving forward. There were lots and lots of things that we did. And I have to contribute a lot of that work, always of course to the members of the commission, the executive committee, the chairs of all of our 10 different committees. And in addition of course, all the support that the Denton County Historical, I mean the Denton County Commission's court gives to us and with Andy even serving on our commission. And then in thinking about it, I thought I would be remiss in not saying too that we need to thank the Texas Historical Commission for a lot of the direction and support that they provide for us, for all the County Historical Commission commissions in the state. And of course the assistance of the staff of the Office of History and Culture, their expertise and their guidance have so many of our projects, not counting all the things that they are doing on behalf of the Office of History and Culture. But the last thing that I would like to say that's really significant for us that are members of the Ditton County Historical Commission is really the commitment of the people in this county because there are so many preservation-minded people. And whether they are the people that are being interviewed for oral histories, whether they're the people sponsoring markers, whatever it is that they are contributing is so vital to us. And without them, we would not, we wouldn't even need a commission. So thank you very much. We thank you very much for sharing such a wonderful group. And thank you all for being here this morning and all the hard work that you do that is certainly a well-deserved award. I've handed Commissioner Eads the hard work that you do, this certainly will deserve award. I've handed Commissioner Ead to the press release that's going to go out on this. And I think it'd be appropriate to just go ahead and read that. Sure. Feel that in place. This is from the Texas Historic Commission honoring Ditton County with the Distinguished Service Award. County Historic Commission's achievements include the preservation of countless historic buildings, artifacts, and other cultural icons of Texas history. As a personal note, I'd like to thank Beth for all your many years of service to the county. And you have, what I think is great about you is you're very visionary about what the commission can do and what the volunteers and staff can do, but she's also very much in the details. And so I think that's a very good combination to have as much visionary but also very detailed. And you've just, Beth has kind of done a double duty and also worked on our marker committees all these years and still still very active in that. So these markers are a permanent record of the counties of the counties history. And your fingerprints are going to be left on that as everyone here, all their efforts are going to be rewarded in that way. So thank you so much. Well, thank you, Andy. I appreciate that. And excuse me. Very good. I'm just going to say I'm coming too far, too fast, but I didn't want to remind you all we need to get a photo. So, yes. Well, leading up to that, here's the award.
