Members of the Court, this is the annual budget that we always put in front of you for approval. You can see there is an increase in the budget partially due to our ever increasing cost share. We are growing faster in members and retirees than the other counties are. So our cost share has grown a little more than the others. And in addition to that, there's a large project in the budget right now. project in the budget right now. The project itself may or may not be approved, but the funds are currently in the budget in case the board does approve that it's a data project to increase efficiency of the processing operations. Okay, 90s approval of a contract between Denk County Health Department and National Association of County and City Health Officials for expansion and activities of the Medical Reserve Corps. Motion by Commissioner Coleman, seconded by Commissioner Marchand. Did you wish to tell us what these expansion and activities is? Good morning, Judge and Commissioners. So you're very aware, I think, of our Medical Reserve Corps. This is a cadre of volunteers that are specially trained to respond in what we call all hazards disasters. So it's not necessarily just bioterism, which was the genesis of this group. When we talk about handing out pills, sippro and doxy, you remember the anthrax attacks shortly after September 11th in 2001. So this group was designed to provide volunteers that we could call on when we needed a public health intervention. Whether it was a mass vaccination, you may recall we did that with H1N1 in 2009. Whether it was a response to the hurricane efforts for Texas, you may remember that with Katrina and Ike. And some of the sheltering processes that happened in Benton County. So the Medical Reserve Corps really has been an important function for public health. It really leverages what we don't have the staff to do. These people are specially trained to work with us when we talk about volunteer management. So it's really training volunteers in a disaster. And that's been very, very helpful. This grant is actually going to allow us to take in more volunteers. And it's also going to let us equip them. So we have some supplies. I mean, we talk about vests and we talk about badges. The last thing I think this will do, it will allow us to improve our communications with them through texting, through enrollment, so we can task them via text, which is nice. So then get a text on their phones saying, will you please respond to, I don't know, Amy's house in a disaster. I don't, but we can task them electronically and these dollars are going to support that. Thank you very much. We did vote. We didn't vote. We have a motion and a second. All in favor please say aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed, Cindy? Motion does carry. Thank you. For sure, they were lifesavers during Katrina in more ways than one. Okay, 14 A is approval of the 2015 and local cooperation agreement for library services between Denton County, Texas and the Louisville Public Library. Motion by Commissioner Mitchell. Seconded by Commissioner Eads. All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Opposed, Cine? Motion does carry it. 14b is ratifying to approve the letter to renew the lease agreement between the city of Denton. Texas, the lease or in Denton County, Texas, the EC regarding parking spaces at the Williams Trade Square and the Court has done the square with funding to come from the General Fund. Other line items 016750, 5020 parking, lease payments, Court has done the square. I'll second the motion. Are there questions? This is renewed at the same rate. All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Opposed, any motion is carried. And item 15 is executive session under 15 a's under Texas government code 551.087 deliberation regarding economic development negotiations, close meeting to deliberate the offer of a Financial or other incentive to a business prospects regarding commercial or financial information that the governmental body has received from a business prospect that the government Body seeks to have locates they are expand in or near the territory of the government body located and get in kind of commissioner Prison for and with which the governmental body is conducting economic development negotiations and 15 B is under Texas government code 551.07118 and B consultation at the training and closed meeting when the government body seeks the advice of its attorney about contemplated litigation or a settlement offer claim of Jennifer Warley. With that, we are an executive session. The session under items 15 A and B, there'll be no action. And I thought Ladina was going to be here for her retirement resolution, but obviously she couldn't make it. So I do want to go back and let's see, this is item 3B on the agenda. It's a proof of a resolution recognizing Ladina Wilson's retirement. Commissioner Coleman, I think I gave you the resolution if you would read it, please. I think I gave you the resolution if you would read it please. This is a resolution honoring Ladena Wilson for her 12 years of service to Denton County. So on this day, whereas Ladena Wilson began her career on February 18th, 2003 and retired on January 9th, 2015 after 12 years of dedicated service within County. And whereas, Ladina was first hired by Commissioner Jim Carter as the chief administrator to help him meet the needs of this citizen suppressing for. Whereas four years later, Ladina assumed responsibility as a district court administrator. And there she finished out of her career. Whereas Lidina has remained friendly and pleasant while delivering outstanding customer services to county employees and citizens alike. And whereas the district court judges are very thankful for all of the valuable assistance Lidina provided on a daily basis. And whereas although Lidina will be greatly missed in the district courts of Denton County, we wish her well in her retirement as she enjoys, cruises in fishing tournaments with her husband. It can care for her home projects and spending time with her children and grandchildren while she is still young. Now therefore, let it be resolved that the Denton County Commissioners Court does hereby extend to Ladina, her sincere and grateful appreciation for her dedicated service to Dyncan. We congratulate Lidina on her well earned retirement and extend our best wishes for her continued success, happiness and good health in the years to come. And I will so move. Back in. Motion by Commissioner Cormorant, seconded by Commissioner Eads. All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed, Cindy. Motion does carry unanimously, Commissioner Eans. I would just like to take this opportunity and tell LaDena publicly if she's watching. Thank you, LaDena, for all your years of service at Ditton County. And I remember when I came into office in January 1st, 2007, LaDena was ending her time with in precinct four as a chief administrator. She held over a couple of weeks and helped transition Lori Walker and I at the Denton County and helped us set things up and had she and Commissioner Carter had a great office set up for us and I appreciate Lidyn all your efforts and helping us transition and always being there for us if we ever had a question. So thank you and congratulations on your retirement. All right. I believe we've concluded all our business. And with that we're adjourned. Everybody have a great day.
