In approval of budget amendments 1,00570 to transfer the remaining salary and benefits funds, $53,630 for expenses for the remainder of the fiscal year, approval of the reallocation of funds for clothing allowance and remote access allowance for the employee. Within the Justice Information Service Department at $810 and allocate funds within the DA chapter 594 for for sure fund funds to contract labor at $62,720. Just this with the transition and development of the E file system from the criminal DA's office to the justice information system for a total amendment of of 117,160 hours. Are there questions on this nation? I did. I had a couple questions. Go ahead. I'm sorry, Mr. Commissioner. Thank you for beating. Maybe the same. So, Miss Donna, is this an increase to the bottom line to the county or is it the difference being made up all totally through the chapter of 59 funds? The actual transfer will not impact the budget. The DA's office, excuse me, has agreed to help fund some contract labor out of the Forfeiture Fund for this remainder of the fiscal year. So we don't anticipate that to be an ongoing experience after this fiscal year. But it was a request of the DA's office to transfer this position. That had an employee, I believe, that created the software program in house. And that employee has since left accounting and has been hired as contract labor for a period of time to help maintain it. That employee no longer wants to do that. So it's going to be the county's responsibility to take that program over. And so Kevin's office has agreed to accept the position as well as the assistance with contract labor to help get people trained in in place so that the county will start paying this program from now on. And Kevin's here, he can answer any other questions that you have about the specifics of the program. Okay, but so we're transferring an employee from the DA's office to Kevin's office. That's correct. There won't be any net change in the salary, but we're... No, it's a lot. It'll just be switching the position from one department to the other. And there's just additional funds to kind of give them armament. To get it to transition over to it becoming a counting function. Thank you, Commissioner Mitchell. Kevin, you know you don't have to talk about space. And so this employee is going to come over to your office physically or? Yes, physically in our office. And you do have a place to put it at this time or? Right, yeah, right now she's working out of the application development office. Okay. Thank you. Have any other questions or comments? Hearing none, do we have a motion? I'll move for a proof. The motion by Commissioner Coleman. Second. Seconded by Commissioner Mitchell. Hearing no further comments. All in favor, please say aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed sitting. Motion is carried. 8A is approval of the reclassification of the jail case coordinator position. Slide number 313JA pay grade 107 to records manager pay grade 11. Ms. Phillips, or Agastana, was this position addressed during the budget? Was this requested or anything like that? I don't believe it was. I think it's part of a plan that Sheriff Travis has been working on for a period of time to consolidate all of his jail records, law enforcement records, all the different places in the sheriff's department that they have records into one central location and to be managed by a records manager in conjunction and in cooperation with the records division in Kevin Carth's department. Okay, so, Miss Nonna, how much is this, it's going to infect the budget? Where are the funds coming from? This will actually stay within the jail budget, moving from a law enforcement pay grade 107 to a grade 11. It fasts within the same salary range. We don't expect there to be any budget impact to this request. It does change grades and the ranges change slightly, but we don't expect it to affect the bottom line at all. Based on the amount that the previous position was budgeted out. They're paying increase in bulk. This is a vacancy, really, in the short-term. It's a vacancy, so it's not like, and the new employee just feeling the vacancy. Yeah, and it's an appropriate time to make a change while the slots vacant. Okay. The motion for approval by Commissioner Eads. I still had a couple of questions. I'll second it for discussion. Go ahead, Commissioner. Well, you know, part of the deal is, you know, like, I've had an employee come and talk to Miss Phillips about reclassifications and stuff during the middle of the budget year. And, you know, I've always had to tell them, look, you know, we don't do this. We consider everything during the budget. We should all really plan what's going on. And, you know, because, you know, to me, try to lead by example and save any of all requests for anything like this during the budget season. I mean, we're fixing to start on the budget in March. I was just trying to inquire, you know, if it was some sort of emergency, if it was just some sort of, you know, clerical thing that needed to be adjusted or whether or not this would be something that would need to be addressed in the budget. You know you I certainly understand that and I agree with it but since it's vacant there's not going to be any additional salary I tend to go along with it but I certainly understand where you coming from because I don't like those reclassifications, also. And it's time to talk to some of the employees and tell them why you can't do a reclassification. And I think we have, I think, Amy and the past has done a good job of telling, specific classes of employees, why they can't be reclassified and why they can't. Typically, practice what we, you know, what we're preparing. Right. Many I could help to clarify. It does say reclassification, and it is technically going from a law enforcement grade to a civilian grade. Typically, when employees are requesting a reclassification, it's because their job has changed, and we're looking at whether the job needs to be a grade higher and whether that pain needs to be adjusted. In this situation, we're kind of taking a job description that used to exist for jail case coordinator, which is no longer used in that job title by the Sheriff's Office, and assigning a different job description of completely new job to a slot. So we're substituting one job for another job. So it's a little bit different than your typical reclassification that we do during the budget process. Thanks for the clarification. All right, we have a motion and a second is there further discussion? Very none on favor please say aye. Aye. Opposed, Sinene? Motion does carry.
