Call the order, the July 10th, 2024 meeting of the Lafayette Civil Service Commission. Board members present from my far right. Robert Sievers. Mike Teal. Eric Rowdy. And we have before us the notes from the June 12th regular session. Do we have any questions or comments about this? Move for approval. Second. All in favor, aye. Aye. So moved. All visits, there is no all visits that I understand, and under new business chief, you wanted something to say. There's just a couple things so you see the reporter up from eight out. When Amanda left we kind of reevaluated how we did this being there's a lot more time she's staying after where hours of wait drop interview so we think it's potentially a better idea to have recorded Alec and then type the notes up the next day. Talk to Mike about it. If everybody here's good with that, that's how we'll proceed. If everybody's good with that. It's fine. I think it's fine, yeah. Swear and ceremony Friday, the 19th, the 10th of August, I'll send you guys an email. But Swear and ceremony, Mayor Ford, Ward, Ward today, Meritboard, award, order day award from our officers, life savings, the retirement, 20 years celebrating. So quite a bit going on. It raised the bite of that, I'll send you an email. National Night Houttuys on July 23rd at Loeb, is a street fare from three to six and then the game's at seven. So you guys are aware that the foundation does a lot to pay for that kind of stuff that we use to have that street fare to good time. One of our options was resign hands, Liz Kaczynski, I don't know if you remember her, her small, she just got hired, sworn in. Maybe a month ago or two months ago? And she immediately is now a dispatcher. So the same day she retired, or resigned, I'm sorry, It just wasn't for her. She's like, you know, this job isn't for me. She went through about six weeks of training and had the all things good to say but it wasn't going to work out as a police officer. You guys remember her? I do. She was out of trouble push-ups. She got 25 to get to where she was with you guys and in the program but she was into a 14, 15, and if you can, sustain 25 pushups, it's gonna be hard for her to send you the HIV. So I think it's a good decision for her. She's going to dispatch. Yeah, okay. So she's just doing a condition of the change of employment. Employment and then she'll be doing that. It worked out. At least we got something out of that. And then Brian, do you have any updates on hiring for where we're at now for next one? We'll have new hire or pre-employment interviews. Probably a look at it. 86. We'll do it through the polygraphs, all right. In the backgrounds. And then promotional meeting also? So far two people signed up right D.C. Nice to meet you. I have heard of the thing. At least one of the persons going to add to him so he knows somebody new to interview. Yeah. I will miss the August meeting. I think I have that written down. But we'll have another. I knew Laura wouldn't be back. Yeah. Anything else to say? No, and I did just check. There's no promotions that make permanent until Sergeant Savers. He was promoted to September 13th last year. So probably will be the October meeting. Okay. So the swear end will be at 10 o'clock again. Yeah, about to get email. So if you have it in front of you there. And be here. Anything else? A motion to adjourn this meeting. Second. Oh, did it... Let me... Let me make a motion to adjourn the meeting. There you go, second. All in favor, aye. Aye. So moved. Meeting adjourned. Thank you, gentlemen. Thank you, sir.
