Okay, that's all right for the pledge. Thank you. I'm going to just to the cry of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God, individual, with liberty and justice for all. Morning, Moan. Morning. Morning, Silly. Good, one. Morning. Morning, silly. First thing we have on the agenda approval of minutes from last week in Chantant and Motion, please the minutes. So moved. Second. Second. Moving second. Anybody have any questions or corrections of the minutes? Okay. Hearing in on those in favor say aye. Aye. Both the same sign. Thank you very much. New Business Legal Counsel. Yes. What you have in front of you today is a amendment number two for our animal sheltering agreement with almost home humane society. As you know, the new shelter is almost ready to be opened, but our current agreement with almost home is at the end of this month, so we do need to do a one-month extension to give a little more time for the shelter to get open and running. So this is the amendment that allows us to do that? It allows us to do. It just gives one more month under the contract. Okay. Okay. Turn on 10 and motion to approve amendment number two for the use of the animal shelter sheltering disposal for almost home. Oh, second. Second. Second. We've been seconded any questions regarding this. I do want to ask. But I don't have history on this. Are we, of course we did an amendment. We started something in calendar 21. So we're proud. Well, so this is just for our general. This is a long standing couple of decades agreement with almost home for them to do our animal sheltering and disposable for animals that are picked up by the city. So the contract price we negotiated back in 21, I believe a two year agreement, which at the first amendment was to extend it in an additional year, knowing that we were on track to open up the new shelter. Pricing has remained the same since this original amendment term. So this is just again one more month to get it through to when the new shelter is open. We don't have contract with the new shelter. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. The mall. Probably open. The ribbon cadeners in August. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We have a motion a second. But you have any further questions on this. So I was the money is the month being is about the same. The monthly fee is what the same as what it has been. Which is probably generous. That's good. We have a motion. A second. All those in favor say aye. Aye. I put the same sign. Thank you very much. Thanks, Jackie. Economic development. Good morning, John Collier from the Economic Development Office. You have before you a request to demolish a garage that's determined to be historic, 836 Shawnee Avenue. This is in the Highland Park National Historic District. Dan Kaiser reviewed this and determined that the loss of the garage would be a loss of an historic resource. So he recommends the 60-day waiting period be maintained. So he recommends the 60 day waiting period be maintained. I don't necessarily agree with that, but that. I could tell by the way you said that. Well, we have, there's no issue of, well, let's go ahead and get to something. Our job here is, again, to reaffirm or from the 60 day waiting period and typically we have my acknowledge we've never violated that affirmation unless there's an issue of public safety or an immediate problem there with a prop property so that's that's we're sort of on or off on this situation so I understand. Chantaine Emotion to approve the withholding of the 60 day waiting period. So move. Second. Anybody have any questions or concerns about that? in a motion to approve the withholding of upholding of the 60 day waiting period. So moved. So I can. Anybody have any questions or concerns about that? Okay. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. I pose same sign. Thank you. Thank you. Thanks, Sean. Um, Lafayette Renew. Good morning, Brad Talley, life yet renew. First item you have before you is amendment number one to task order number six, which was the Prairie Oaks Emergency San Terry sewer lining with Westler Engineering. We had one straggler invoice from CSX Railroad come in and so this amendment will make the Westler contract whole. It's in the amount of $1,350 and brings the total not to exceed amount of $46,350. Recommend here approval. Okay, thanks. Charts and emotions, approved amendment. Amendment number one, task court number six. So moved. Second. But moved in second. So just real quick, So, so we've been seconded. So, just real quick, just the CSX is requiring something separate than what we, when we did, we did the emergency repair. It was under several sets of railroad tracks. And so we had to have a railroad inspector there on side. And this is what, and this is their fee to do there. A little behind the schedule of everybody else to get okay Yep, get it's invoiced. Yeah, I understand. Okay. That makes sense. Thank you Any other questions on this we need a motion We have a motion. Thank you very much. We have a motion a second to approve this All those in favor say aye Post same sign. Thank you Second you have amendment number one to task order number three All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed same sign. Thank you. All right. Second, you have amendment number one to task order number three. And this is in relation to the, I'm sorry, smoke testing and performance of the Elliott ditch subsystem. We've been doing an eye and eye study of the Elliott system for a little over a year now to see if we have inflow coming into the sewer so that we can eliminate that. We've put in flow meters in the system and we've been monitoring that for about a year now. And so this is the next step we've identified some areas that we want to go in and actually put in smoke and see if we can find the openings in the system so that we can get those eliminated. This compensation amount is $30,400 and brings the not to exceed total compensation to $90,000 even. I recommend your approval. Chateen Emotion approved this amendment number one to task number three for Wessler. Second. Is this something actually Wessler actually does? Do they have a subcontractor doing that? They actually, they have staff on hand that will come in. Our staff will help assist in the smoke testing, but they have the equipment and they'll come in. Over what length of time? Length of area eight. It's limited. I'm not sure what the smaller length but they'll kind of hopscotch down the line to see where the You know where we may have okay, and this is kind of like a The water the drinking water has their flow Lost study. This is our flow that we're getting in study and so we're trying to find out I see tighten up our system I see okay All right, it makes sense all right. Would you say Eric? I see you're not in the position. I see. I see. Okay. All right. It makes sense. All right. Would you say, Eric, maybe? Yeah. It's a long distance. We'll basically go from manhole to manhole. Okay. But it's smoking. Okay. We have a motion. A second to approve this task order amendment number one. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed same side. Thanks, Ray. Thank you. All right, E. Parks Department. Good morning, John Minor Lafayette Parks. Before you have a contract for testing and inspection services with all and Wittsig engineering for the McCall Park Phase 2 trail and Pickleball Court project scope includes but is not limited to proof roll, compaction and concrete testing. The anticipated cost is estimated at $8,042.25. The contract is been reviewed by the City Attorney and we would ask for your approval. Thanks, John. Chair and chair, I'm motion to approve this agreement with Alton Witts. Witts, Witts, G. Engineering for the McCall phase two. Hello. Second. Questions on this? Anybody? Hey, hearing none. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed, same side. Thank you. Thanks, John. Virtue scene Good morning, Dave Payne purchasing manager We have a 2012 Chevy Silverado double cab CDID vehicle number 420 that fleet maintenance is requesting be declared surplus And it'll be transferred to Lafayette housing authority Okay, Lieutenant Motion approve this declaration of surplus property. Second. Okay. Moving second and all those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed say aye. Next day. Thank you. And then we have claims. Good morning, Jeremy Deals, city controller. The controller's office has reviewed claims totaling $3,738,588.49, and I request the board's approval. Chair, I'll take an emotion to approve the claims. Do the second? Second. Move and seconded. Anybody have any questions? I have two, Jeremy. One is on big 27. The very bottom claim core and main LP. That's an equipment provider. I'm mean? Oh, it's a fitting for water. Okay. But, that's okay. I didn't understand. Yeah, I apologize. I can get more detail on that. No, that's fine. It's for maintenance issue or whatever. Right. Right. All right. Thanks. And then on, no further explanation. On page, big 28, let me find it right in the middle of the page. and I'm going to go to the next. No further explanation on eight big 28. Let me find the right in the middle of the page. West go distribution. Replay breakers remain a factor breakers just wanted to know what MCC one is. I think that is. Gully. I may have to get back with you unless somebody can confirm. Is that Brad? This is the federal center number one for the plant work in the process of rehabics and breakers 20 years ago. Okay. Okay. Thank you very much. Thanks, appreciate it. Okay. That's only two questions I have. Anybody else have any questions? Okay. Here I now have a motion of second to to finish the point all those in favor say aye Close to the same sign. Thanks. Thanks. I appreciate it. Hope your knee gets better Miss Alina's Lafayette Flee McCords can't McCords candy is anybody here from Accords today? Yeah, come on up I have a request of insignificant by comparison to what's going on this room, but I am excited to be part of any growth and development project downtown. Ours is an event. We request approval for an antique flea and thrift market. It's a one day event, August 31st. I did originally have on the Board of Works letter and the Good Neighbor letter that it would be nine to nine, but we think that that might be an unrealistic for a target for our very first event. So we're trying to push that back to three to nine if that's possible It'd be better. Yeah, I think so So again, we have the good neighbor letter. That's all gone out and everybody. Okay. Yeah, about a week ago Good good good and you've received no feedback. I assume on that No negative feedback. That's why I'm happy. It's pretty excited about it. Good. Good. Good. I do have a question though. Are you closing in front of your in front of a course there on Mays to read is just one lane or both lanes? So we recognize that six would have to have a flow of traffic. So we're hoping just to close it after the intersection in front of our store up to Fifth Street so where the farmers market would be of course the farmers market be closed by that time. We figured if we close the street at approximately three about the same time as the mosey is closing the street that would give us an hour to bring our things in and prep and set up. If you give us more time, that'd be great, but we don't anticipate that. So it is main street. Yeah, yeah. I think it's just one lane. Or if it was both lanes. Oh, both. Yeah. Yes, I'd like to have both sides of this street. We have some new vintage thrift dealers or one business opening up across the street. And then another that's in one of the micro businesses that match boxes coordinated and they're both excited to come out that day. So they'll need the other side of the street. If that's possible, yes, we would like to have both lanes of traffic. We have... Hmm? Yep. Is that on that day? I think on the 31st. Yeah, good question. I don't know. I don't know. I know what's best, but I should know that I don't. What's that? I might know or I might be surprised by something and go, oh no. Well, a pretty football game. Oh, is it that day? I don't know Well, that would be a bummer, but yeah, that may be a conflict. I'm concerned Main street though is not gonna be a major traffic For me a bummer that we don't have as many people coming to the event. Yeah, well, I understand that we're talking about I know what you mean Traffic and safety of course, course. Mary, do you have any concerns about that? So it's the same day as a Moezie. Yeah. Of course, we did that intentionally. I think as long as it's just Main Street, just for one block, even if we're close out, six streets got to stay open. Yeah. Yeah. We have to be able to maintain traffic on St. Street. I think it should be okay as long as all the neighbors in that area agree you've got the letter and everybody agrees that they can make that work. I think that'll be okay. Thank you. Yes, that was. Yeah, that was. Change that back. It's going to be a starting about. Yeah, most of the motion there's between. Yeah, we need to move that back to what she said to the three. Yes, three to nine is. Yeah, we were a little over ambitious in the beginning. That's fine. Winner's 10. Yeah, so have we done a motion Mindy? No, so. Just So have we done the motion, Mindy? No. So just three o'clock enough, because I thought I heard you say maybe even another hour. So we thought we could start setting up at three o'clock. We could be done within the hour. Of course, we're going to start putting probably product in our store to prepare tables and the things that we need to set up. So if we have most of what we need to set up down our location, we could do it in an hour. I mean, additional time would help. It would help us pull it off a little better experience maybe. If we had some extra time, but I don't want to push for that. So if we could close... I'd prefer to keep it lined up with the kind of the time the Mozi Road. Because they're already out there. And they're all the signs for the Mozi say for the getting the cars moved and stuff. I think it's kind of important logistically that we keep that lined up. We certainly want you to have a great event and we appreciate it. But that's a lot going on at one time and there needs to be some consistency with what's happening I think to make it run. We could use the same signs just going down the street further. Sure. Make a motion for approval to amend the agreement from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. amended to 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Is there a second? Moving to second, anybody having a further question on this? As the mayor said, we hope you have a good event. All those in favor say aye. Thank you. Thanks. Thanks for coming. That's the agenda for today. And you've already have any comments or any anybody have any announcements for the board today? If not, meeting is adjourned. Thank you.
