Item one is for public input for items not listed on the agenda. If there's any member of the public that would like to address Missions Court, yes, that you please complete a public comment form available on the side table. I want to remind everyone to please turn off cell phones, pages, any electronic device that would be disruptive. We have one public comment formed this morning from Mr. Willie Hesveth. Good morning, Mr. Hensveth. Judge and other commissioners, my name is Willie Hesveth. I live at 1623 Newton. Let me start off by saying that all of my brothers and sisters okay this morning. I'm practicing. Secondly, all lives matter. All lives matter, all lives matter. Send it to myself because I'll say black lives matter, and then I'll say blue lives matter, and there's a year but in there somewhere. And God keeps saying, don't put the year but in there. There's no year but. So I'm watching on the year but so all eyes matter. Thirdly I'm gonna call your doctor, Cook Coleman just so that you can feel better about yourself. Commissioner Coleman, we were talking and I said hey go well have a night and now I've been talking about well have a night meeting. He said we might have one. And then he walked away in his own way. You know him. You know him. You know this is what you would say. Bitch it on being about. Won't be anybody there. And I have to agree with him. Probably won't. when you start something new they probably won't show they just don't people just don't I'll be there but they probably don't won't show but what it will say to me and some well this this court is at least trying to get the input from the community they're trying to do the things that will have to community. They're not not trying and not what they're doing is not not not what they are not intentionally trying not to hear from the public. Now as I say that there's a year but right there and I got to get rid of the year but you just have to I think you just need to make one decision of the either you're going to believe in it or you're not. So I'm working on that. So I think night meetings would be the right thing to do. And as I put myself in your position, I think to myself, well, what you want to do with the night meetings? If you were in that position, would you do it? Yeah, I think I would. So I'm just asking you, consider meeting in the evenings so that other citizens can come to the meetings. I know when I say that you already consider that you're not, you know, you want to do the thing that happens to the community. So I'm just saying it allowed to myself and trying my best not to have a yellow butt in there. Thank you. All right. Members, I want to first go to our agenda item, which is item 16A on the agenda. It's a discussion of them kind of historical park and potential long range partnership with community market in first we'll Collin Commissioner Eans. Good morning, thank you, Judge. For anyone who's been following the newspaper or the City of Ditton Council agenda, you may have noticed that there's been an ongoing discussion for a potential future home of the community market here in Ditten. And we've been very pleased to host the market since its inception. And for many years now, and I think it's worked out great. What I'd like to do is have the court authorize myself and perhaps Commissioner Coleman since we both share jurisdiction as far as precinct one, precinct four with the city of Ditten and have a formal dialogue with the city and the community market for the potential of the market staying at our historical park for a long range timeframe. And I believe that we could work a partnership with the city of Ditten. They've been very supportive of our historic preservation efforts and we'd love to have The visitors and the guests of the market at our park and learn about the history of the county and so I would just like to to bring that formally to the court today and and get input from y'all and so that we could proceed with Just a formal dialogue about a long-term relationship. And I think there's a financial commitment that could be made from the city to the county, to host and improve the site, which would be a win-win, and I think partnerships in government are very important. And our voters expect that. They expect partnerships where it makes sense. And so I would like to bring that up to the full court and see what which all's thoughts are. It's a good idea. You can save $1.7 million and I think the city it estimated it would take to improve the parking lot over by the police department. I think for a small portion of that, we can make improvements like bathrooms and other things to the key to the historical park and get traffic to our museum and at the same time serve the community markets. I think it's a good idea and I'd love to serve with you to do that, Andy. Well, I think this is a great opportunity for a win-win, maybe a win-win-win, because the county, the city, and the community market and throw in the farmers market too. So people coming over there and it helps everybody. Yeah, this was an addendum strictly because we didn't want to be in violation of open meetings, laws, John, and have a discussion here in court and officially authorized Commissioner Coleman and Commissioner Eads to be visiting with the city on the issue and see how we can resolve this and be a tremendous savings dollar wise to the city and it'll certainly be an improvement for the community market and farmer's market, because it's beneficial for them to keep a lot of people coming there and it certainly helps the county as far as exposing people to what we've got going on and what we plan in the future for our historical park so I'm totally on board great idea. And Judge we have Vicki and other board members here if you'd like to you're in attendance if you want to say anything. You're. We aren't going to be taking any formal vote on it today, but we just wanted to have some discussion here so we can proceed the discussion with the city. Go ahead. Good morning. Thank you for being here. Good morning. I'm Vicki Oppenheim. I'm the executive director of the Denton Community Market. And I just wanted to thank you so much for your willingness to partner on this project. As you know, the county has been essential in supporting the market from the very beginning. We started at the county site and we're still there. We've become a great success. We've been featured in regional publications. We bring thousands of people to the historical park every year. Many of whom would not know about historical parks. So, this only benefits the county, it's only benefited us, benefits the farmers, the the locally made item producers, or everybody that comes to the park, the musicians that perform there. So we're very excited about this possibility and I think it's really we're very excited about this possibility. And I think it's really a brilliant idea to have this partnership. And so we're here to partner with you, to look at ideas, look at how the park can be improved, how it can efficiently use funds that are available, how we can look at other grants possibly. We don't know So how many questions for me I'm here to answer any questions questions Bobby Thank you, we will report back All right, there'll be no formal vote on that we just wanted to have an open discussion about it Make sure everybody knew what we were thinking about doing here. Members, I'm going to jump around here a little bit.
