All right, good things. The columnist, meaning no order, the date is Wednesday, December 27th, and this is a special meeting today. We're going to dispense with wedge and prayer and all that, but I do want to remind everyone to face turn off cell phones, patrons, who have tried devices that might be disruptive. I'm just kidding. You have only one item on the agenda today, who I've tried to devices that might be disruptive. Excuse me. You have only one item on the agenda today, and that is one A, a proble of exemption from meaning for restoration services due to smoke damage at the Port House on the square, according to the provisions of 262.02481 and 3, of the Texas government code, for items necessary to make the purchase promptly to preserve the property of the county and items necessary because of unforeseen damage to public property. As everyone knows, we hand, unfortunately, a fire on the square yesterday morning and it's my understanding of the strong breeze out of the east that smoke and soot made its way into the old courthouse. So I stopped by there this morning and I think several other people have too and when I came over here and walked by Cheryl, it's just like you smoke like smoke. Yeah, I do. walk by Cheryl, which is like you smell like smoke. Yeah, I do. So we're not sure what it's going to, how long it's going to take to clean up that property. People are in there literally scrubbing the walls and everything they can reach right now. And hopefully that will make it inhabitable in a day or two, but that really remains to be seen. So our purpose in gathering today is to bypass the process of going out for bid for these services and so we can pay these good folks that are helping us get it all to end up. So I'm going to make a motion for approval. We have a second by Commissioner Eans, Debbie, there's your wish to say anything. Do you? Thank you all for being here today. And I hate it on this occasion. I'd like to hear just a brief update from the staff. Maybe Danny or Peggy about the current status of things and we've got the collections and I think I'll be What's the condition You'll face that we We've been over there assessing and taking down some of the borrowed artwork. The smoke or the silk from the smoke is on the top surface of some of the artifacts. We had quilts that were in the stairwells, I'm contacted a conservator to see what that will cost to have that clean. What happens is if the smoke stays on any kind of textile, paper, it's going to discover it. So we need to get that clean as soon as possible. We haven't assessed yet what, or anything inside the laying out, some of those are borrowed items. So we're going to be going back and checking to see. But the good thing is the ones that we had that was from the humanities Texas those are reproduction photographs. So hopefully that won't be too costly for them to replace. It doesn't appear that any of the smoke or the soot got into our main storage. So right now I've got five quilts, one for me that was long-fledged, that will need cleaning. And then all of our, the dolls and the Sannas that were on this slide, they will need cleaning and then all of our the dolls and the sand us that were on display, they will need cleaning. Most of the other things were reproduction, text panels, we can read those in house, but I've just finished talking to the company and they said 10 days to 2 weeks to complete their cleaning. Because they're having a lot better on all the walls and pull out those small brains. Okay. Okay, for the record, that was banging on the river. It was a brighter and finer office of history and culture. Danny Brunley, your favorite facility? I just spoke with Brad. And he said things seem to be going on quicker than what he anticipated. Right now he is working on trying to get another 20 to 30 people so he can run 24-7. I'm working with Sheriff's Department. They've been great. We're going to do security at the building. So, and we plan on our goal is to change the filters today. We'll change it in three days, and we'll change it in another three days, and we'll change it once they're complete. It's not as, it could have been a whole lot worse, but it is clean enough really well. Thank you. Questions or comments from anybody? Okay, I believe that concludes our business for today. If that were adjourned, everybody have a great day. Oh, you see what I'm about. Did we take a minute? Well, all right. On favor please say out. All right, I suppose you need a motion of carrying in. Thank you. All right, now we're adjourned. Have a great day. I'm sorry.
