We are here to celebrate a great outstanding group of teens who have been part participating in parks and a Rex Teen club so these teens are outstanding not only because of their community service efforts They're grades their great attitude, but they have some amazing leaders that have been shaping them. So we want to thank our parks recreation director, his entire staff, and all the recreational staff in the various community centers that participate in making sure that our youth are great. Not only will they be rewarded with an amazing trip to Bush Gardens, but also they also some of them I remember from participating in our college tour as well. So we would like to welcome all of them up here. So teens join us up here as we celebrate you and your accomplishments. Don't be surprised this is your moment so come on up and we also want our director and Mr. Quavis, Mr. King, as well, to come up and any of the all the park staff who are here in the audience to come up and speak a little bit about the program. Coming up, come on up teens You have to say yes. Thank you, gosh. Look how tall they are. You have to say yes. Now, you say in front. Yes, yes. All right. So. And you're coming to that. Wait a minute. Yes. I'm over here. Yes. This is when it's great to be short. It's a beautiful line. It's just a king to speak or a director of the plucking. I don't know if director Pocken want to speak or Mr. King wants to speak as well. Thank you commissioner mayor and commissioners. This group half the teams, the other ones couldn't make it. They did exceptional during the school year with our team program. Their commitment to the program, their commitment to community service, their positive attitude, grades, attendance, participation, all of it culminated into a great program for, not only them, we have about 125, I would say, teens in our program, but this group excelled. And because of that, they rewarded, they were rewarded and enjoyed a one-day trip to Bush Gardens. And they got to be together and create lasting memories. And for future, for those in the team program participation positive attitude you get rewarded so we want to thank you all for the amazing young men and women that you are and continue on this track thank you thank you very much I don't know if our commissioners have any words of empowerment for the teens. Well, I am so honored to be amongst you. Why? Because you're going to take care of me. And you know what you learn here and the camaraderie you have with each other and the patience it takes and the compromise. You know, it goes with you the rest of your life. It doesn't stop here. So I thank staff for being there to help these young men and women become really great adults in our world. And thank you all so much. We're honored to honor you. That's really great. in our world and thank you all so much. We're honored to honor you. Sorry. Hi. So I'm Commissioner Fortuna Smuggler. And I just want to say that as Commissioner Smith thinks staff, we also need to thank your parents for raising wonderful young men and women. And as Commissioner Smith said you'll be taking care of us one day but maybe one day there'll be seven of you sitting here on a day is now it's hard work it's not that simple but it's something that you should actually start paying attention to, not just in North Miami Beach, but in the United States, listen, learn and vote. Soon you're old. Who's old enough to vote? Nope. Not yet? Okay. Well, soon. Well, but you can be 17, turning 18 next week, right? So anyhow, so thank you so much for being great examples. And I hope that you participate in the programs in the future as adults and mentor children that are your age and show them how wonderful they can be as well. Thank you Enjoy your youth because it can go away just like that I remember how easy things were for me around your age my biggest problem was getting to my age, my biggest problem was getting to my job after school and worrying about how much my shoes cost and that was it. That does change significantly as you get older. So enjoy this time in your life. Don't take things too seriously because believe me when you look back at it, it's just you got to laugh it off. So just enjoy the youth and be cool and just be happy, all right? All right. Say it's cool. All right. Okay, just a couple quick words of basically congratulations and it's really impressive that you're going the extra mile, taking the extra step and it really says it's sort of laying out what your future is going to look like. And your future starts today, if not yesterday. So I'm glad to say that you're taking advantage of it, and the best way and keep building on that. So again, congratulations. Okay. So we do have certificates of completion for each team and also the manager was so gracious enough to supply some dinner for them tonight. So thank you to the manager's office. Thank you. Manager Diaz and we're going to take a quick picture with our certificate. It's not your name, but we just want you to open it up as we take our picture here. Okay. We'll sort them out later. Just open them up for the photo. We'll sort it out after this picture. I'm just wondering what you're doing. I'm just doing everything right. Right. And then here's later though, the future thing. They did all that stuff. We've written it. All right. All right, here we go. All right, hold it up. Let's wait. So cover your face. I don't know if it was a good idea to do this. Right? Thank you. Thank you. I think it's a confirmation recognizing parks and rec months. We do it all when it's like a month. Okay. Okay. Should we, I guess we should call Andy up for that, right? Yes. Okay.
