Thank you. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I would like to open the January 25th, Ashland Public Art Commission meeting. So I am officially calling this meeting to order. I'd like to quickly welcome councilmember Anita Barnhart, our new Public Art Commission town liaison. Welcome. Thank you for joining us. I'd like to open the floor for citizen input. So if anyone has anything they would like to discuss with the council members please step forward. I would ask that you state your name and your address. If we have no citizen input I will close the citizen input. I may have something. I'm just going to ask for a red envelope. I'll leave you here. I got a text. Mr. Brill do you mind making sure your microphone's on? Thank you. I'm just going to ask her. Okay. So I got a text. A Mr. Brill, do you mind making sure your microphone's on? Thank you. I'm sorry. I got a text from Susanna Wagner Merritt. She couldn't be here, but she wanted to share something. So would that be appropriate to do now? Yes, sure. All right. Let me see if I can find it. Give me a second. I was just turning off my phone so it didn't ring and now I'm like, oh, I need it. Give me just a second. I'm sorry. This is taking me a second here. And while you look for that, Mr. Rill, if you don't mind after the meeting just forwarding that to me so that I can make sure it's entered into the minutes. Sure. Okay. So this is from Susanna. So she wrote. I think about art. I'm sorry, I think art about the historic architecture in trains and Randolph-Macon College is the first thing that comes to mind. And it certainly can bring it all together. Ashland Town Council has previously said that they should appear to give support to the arts. It is time for Ashton to actually support the arts and the artists. Yes, we have 4th Fridays. The young self-supported artists show up with their work, their display, racks and tables. They bring tents and chairs and helpers. They pay their own wages, taxes and insurance and sales taxes. And they pay for the privilege of putting up a display for a few hours and then take it all down again. I think it has time for the town to step up and sponsor a few art shows, maybe plain air, invite artists in different age groups, including local high schoolers, invite them to paint in Ashland, then display their works, the town should buy a few display screens, three and Tentertude display the finish works and auction off the finished works maybe buy the very best Ashen could support the artists and help make them a living by having an event to show and sell art not just show off the artists Thank you Is there any other citizen input? Please. If you would state your name and where you live and speak loudly. Okay. I'm Sarah Wright Holloway and I live at 203 Mertel Street, in Ashland and I'm the executive director at the Hanover Arts and Activity Center and I do want to build off of what are they're just read from Susanna. We actually have talked about this with our board as well doing more art shows with local artists in Ashland and we've already begun. And we also host the Hanover County Public Schools Ivy Art Show each year. So I just did wanna put it on the record that when we move into programming like that, Hanover Arts and Activity Center would love to be a part of it and to assist with that. Thank you, appreciate that. with that. Thank you. Appreciate that. Hello, how are you doing? My name is Derry Edwards. I live at 325 New Street, Ashland, Virginia. Well, you already know the Ashland parties just. For us to have it, you got to put the whole thing in our Ashland Virginia. No roads up to tongue beautifully. But when we had our Ashland Town Council, I think I was the only one that said something about bringing up, bringing stuff to the arts to Ashland. I remember Arthur Biel when we had the thing at Ashland, at the Ashland Library, he came to me about Ashland in the arts and paying and commissioning the local artists to do art work, display art work, and everything is around Ashland. My suggestion was that we commission or pay local artists in Ashland to put up canvases and different neighborhoods and to represent those neighborhoods. I'm gonna say, I'm gonna start with Gandhi. Since they wasn't able to keep the name, I would say we'd think of somewhere where there's like some ugly burqa something on the school or somewhere in Gandhi and we put up a mural of Mr. John M. Gandhi and on the side of it we can put a picture of Virginia Union University and the year that Gandhi was built here. I think we're a good representation of Gandhi, Berkeley town, and maybe in the Hispanic community around Sechfield or somewhere, we can, someone can do a piece of some kind of salsa or whatever represents their community. And at another part of Ashland, well you get to just what I'm saying. I think that I see the artwork in Richmond, on the canal, on the boulevard, going past southside, on the lovely marbles they have. Some of them, unfortunately, got taken down, but some of them, there, got taken down, but some of them, there are a conversation starter and they bring vibrancy to the community, life to the community, and it gives a chance for us to show out, to show Ashland is more splendor and the citizens here. And I just wanna, that's my piece thank you. Thank you appreciate that. Is there any other citizen input? Being that the citizen input is complete I would like to close this portion and throw the discussion over to Martha Miller who is going to present the public art survey results. Martha. Thank you. Good evening, everyone. Thank you for attending tonight. Just to give you a quick overview of how things are going to roll tonight, we're going to go over the survey results because I think those are a great kind of prompt for the discussion that we're going to get into during the focus group portion. So we'll go through the results. This was a survey that was distributed in person and online and I'll talk a little bit more about the methodology later. But I think the goal is to again, kind of set a background for kind of the data that we've already collected. And then we'll break into the focus group portion of the evening and have a more in detailed discussion. And that will give everyone an opportunity to contribute more specifically. So overview of the survey. We collected a total of 137 responses, which may not seem like a whole lot, but given the kind of growing, the Ashens population and also the growing art interest and artists here in town, I think is actually a pretty good turnout for a survey that is so specific to this topic. Again, like I said, this was distributed online and in-person, both in English and in Spanish. In-person, we focused mostly around the light of the tracks events, approaching folks that were here, both visitors and residents, to get their kind of quick feedback on the arts here in town. And this ran from November 2023 and it just closed last week before I pulled this data. So these are just some overview. If anyone would like to see all the survey results, they are attached to the agenda which can be found on our website. But what is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Ashland? This was an open-ended question. The commission really felt strongly they wanted to see what people came up with rather than slotting in ideas or preloading ideas. So the best way to capture this is a word cloud. For those unfamiliar with word clouds, the larger the word, the more frequent the answer. This does not give every single answer in the word cloud, but it does give the most frequent answers. So you can see trains very prominently up there as well as railroad tracks, center of the universe, the theater is captured, small town, quaint. So I think this is kind of neat to see. There is a variety of responses, both somewhere very literal places and somewhere more of a feeling. So think about that as we go into our groups. For some reason, I want to make sure everybody can see. I lost my... Here we go. Alright, bear with me, bugs. Save it, pop, spell it up. Here we go. It's here. Why is it not there? Pada. Okay. Let's hope that doesn't happen again. Question two. What do you think makes Ashland unique? Again, terrain is pretty strong in there, but we do have a lot of different answers, community, shops, family, small town vibe, walkable, quirky. I like personally like that one in there. Charm, friendly, and that was just to kind of get a feel for the culture of what people perceive the culture to be. When you have visitors, where do you take them in Ashland? The Kaboos won the award on this one, I think, clearly. Everyone loves the Kaboos restaurant. You see Randolph-Macon in here, some of our shops like Refunquet, Suzanne, I'm assuming, means Suzanne's, homeades, center street, the houses, the library, the train tracks, and the train station, and along the track. So very, very focused around downtown, as well as our parks. What types of public art would you like to see in Ashland? I ranked these answers from the highest percentage down. So overwhelmingly, our top two, I would say actually 42%, sorry this is not ranked from top down, but 42% is large scale, highly recognizable, so something kind of big and that really makes a statement. And then just below that you have functional art. So benches designed by artists, bike racks, and as well as anchors or focal points around community gathering spaces like our downtown area, probably. And what roles should public art have in Ashland? This one is ranked from most frequent to under very important to least, support the growth of the local arts community. That was a clear objective. I also think it's reflective of the folks that took the survey who I imagine are involved in the arts in some way, which is great to see. Promote pride in Ashland as well as bring a sense of whimsy and delight to everyday spaces, which I was kind of pleasantly surprised to see that that ranked so highly, as well as create community interaction and strengthen the community's social fabric. And then I think it is important to kind of note kind of what the lowest level interest was, which is spark conversations about issues facing the community. So there did seem to be not as much of an appetite here in the community for anything that perhaps they were, these respondents perceived as political or controversial in nature, but there's really no way to know without delving in further to that. What should be the priority locations for new public artworks in Ashlands? We lot people to choose up to three. Overwhelmingly, the downtown area, which is reflective of kind of where people are bringing their visitors, where they like to hang out, our parks and trails, as well as the town hall and town hall pavilion area. That doesn't surprise me so much because the pavilion area is new. So other than the pavilion kind of recently being completed, the town has not had a lot of time to focus on kind of fleshing that space out. And then you see some of the other options down there which are not insignificant including anchors to our existing arts and culture venues which I would call out Ashland Theatre, Hanover Arts and Activity Center, and then our gateways into Ashland, the I-95 interchange route 54 and route 1. How do you think public art projects in Ashland should be funded? So it looks like Philanthropically was the highest, but they're all pretty close. And so to me, when I look at these results, that means that the respondents are indicating they would like to see a diverse mix of funding sources for public art in Ashland. And then this just kind of was to give us a gauge of who the folks were that were taking this and kind of where their opinions were coming from and how familiar they were with public art. So quite a few so they notice it when they visit places, they notice it in Ashland, and then that they would actually like Ashland to be known for public art. And there were other answers to this question, but the statistics were so low that I just kind of cropped out to the top four. And then I'm going to just read these quickly. These were just a handful or a sampling of responses that were kind of hard. Is there anything else you'd like to add at the end of the survey? Again, you can see all of the comments in the full packet, which was far too long to print out and go into, but it is available on our website. So that top one, as a person who seeks art venues while on travel, I see the value in adding public art to Ashland to increase its marketability for a tourist destination. I support any chance to bring art and cultural exhibits to Ashland to further enhance our unique and awesome town. This is an excerpt from a comment. A variety of approaches could be helpful, such as murals on side streets, incorporating public art into working infrastructure, seasonal water features, larger pieces only in open or gathering spaces. And then, whatever is done, there needs to be thoughtful contemplation and engagement by a body of individuals with a professional curator, not just a bunch of ideas that are voted on by citizens. Don't let it become a scene of random fixtures without an intuitive sense of meat. And then three more. Coming from the West Coast, I was very used to seeing public art installations on nearly every street corner of downtown Seattle. Some small, some functional, some hidden treasures. I'd like to see more hidden treasure pieces on our trails and in our parks, perhaps an interactive one with drums that make music in the rain or one for kids. Middle one, it would be great to use one of the trails and put it in art style interactive things the kids can do. So another kind of interactive kid-focused piece. A music station, a building station, a slate with buckets of water they can paint on in nature. And the last one there, a lot of these things have popped up and it seems like the town just went with them. I know several our private companies doing their own thing, but installing art to just have art or because its need doesn't bring added value. Without meaning, inherent or conveyed, things just become a permanent fixture of litter. So again, a real emphasis on strategy and having a plan and thought process behind pieces. And that's kind of the highlights of the survey results. At this point, I'm happy to answer any questions from our members of our commission. I would just say if we want to have further discussion, there'll be plenty of opportunity for that when we get into the focus groups. But I'm happy to clarify anything that may not have been super clear. Any questions? With there being no questions, we will move on to the next agenda item. Okay. Just pull up. We'll go into the work session here. Okay, so we're gonna go into the focus group section at this point. For those that may be watching at home now or on the recording later, this portion will not, you'll unfortunately not be able to hear the audio of this, but we will put the discussion notes in the minutes. And then we will resume after the focus group and do a quick staff report and conclude for the evening. But just as a set up to the art public art focus group portion of the evening, members of the commission and I will come down from the Dias. I think given the number, it might make sense to split into two groups. So I'll kind of leave it to you all to assign yourself to split into two groups, maybe one on this side and one on this side. We can move chairs around. And then I would just ask members of the commission to maybe split between those two groups, maybe one on this side and one on this side, we can move chairs around. And then I would just ask members of the commission to maybe split between those two groups. And if I could have someone taking notes in each of those groups so that we can report back out on that, that would be great. So what is the purpose of this section? To discuss and receive feedback on the future of public art in the town of Ashland specifically to help prioritize the types, locations, and the role of public art. So you're going to see that the slides that we bring up are going to kind of be chunked into these three sections. And then Commissioner Hollander has also created some kind of follow-up questions to kind of dig deeper. So what we're really looking for here is kind of specific ideas, fleshing out things that were kind of already covered in the survey. So timing-wise, it may not take this long, it may take, but it will not take any more than this, just depends on how many ideas you all have. Please feel free to stay as long as you're able. If you need to pop out and leave, we certainly understand. So we'll do a quick warm up activity here at the beginning. If it looks like folks are finishing up before 15 minutes, that I'll bring everybody back together to get into their groups. And then we'll kind of chunk this out into three sections of 20 minutes apiece for types of public art, discussions around locations, and look, discussions about the role, what you think the role of public art in Ashland should be, and then we'll do a wrap up. As with any kind of group discussion, I'd just like to go over rules of engagement as a pleasant reminder that your participation is voluntary on any all discussion topics. If you don't have an opinion about something, there's no need to answer. Again, if you need to leave or step out for any reason, you're welcome to do that. All ideas are valid in this format. This is a brainstorm. There are no right or wrong answers. We ask that you please respect the opinions of others, even if you disagree. And please, I know everyone is probably passionate and bursting with ideas but try to stay on topic. Facilitators may need to interrupt and share all topics are covered and that everyone has an opportunity to contribute and try not to dominate the conversation and make space for others to share invite others into the conversation some people are more comfortable sharing than others and finally I'll just add anecdotally, our commission members, while they have opinions and insights of their own, they're really here to listen tonight. So this is your opportunity to share with them your thoughts, bounce ideas off of them, and rather than listen to their ideas. So before we get into our warm up activity as you kind of rise to do it, which I'll chat about in just a second, there are name tags, little sticky name tags. I would ask that you come up here and write your name on a name tag since you're gonna be in a group with folks that it'd be good to be able to know each other's names. And then while you're up here, of course, feel free to take a bottle of water if you need one. And there's these little colored stickers, there's little pads. And if you look around the room, you'll see some kind of examples of public art from all around the world. They range from functional art to modern art to interactive art to murals to sculpture. And so what And so what we would like to do is get a sense on what you think would look great in Ashland. What would fit? What is your interest level? And use those dots to, like, the ones you love, put a green dot on them. The ones that are like, yeah, that mean that could be cool if it's in the right place, yellow dot. One that's that you think are totally at odds with the culture of Ashland here, red dot. One that you think are totally at odds with the culture of Ashland here, red dot. You do not have to put a dot on every single picture, go to whatever speaks to you, and I'll give everybody kind of 15 minutes or so to mill around and do that. So come on up here if you don't mind and grab a name tag. There's markers here and go for it. Have fun. I said for a moment I'm setting up where they were. Yeah. So, when they hear me from her? I don't know. I don't know. Where are we going? I don't know. Yeah. She lost it. How many of these are for? Yeah. It says this is a little piece of cake. I don't know for $500. Okay, hey, that there's a key. I'm going to put it on the floor. Okay, that works. Here you go. I need you to release it. Oh. Yeah, I'm originally actually a person. I'm going to release it. I'm going to put it on the floor. Oh, no. I'm going to have a drink. I'm going to have a coffee. Oh, no. I'm going to have a drink. I'm going to have a drink. I'm going to have a drink. I'm going to have a drink. I said, I'm going to have a drink. I said, I'm going to have a drink. I said, I'm going to have a drink. I said, I'm going to have a drink. I said, I'm going to have a I just finished two for Amazon and where you wear in-ashments and rich men. Yeah, on the rich men have a right to their pay. Yeah, so, um, and they've done doing it. They're on to doing it. I guess I work for it. I guess I work for it. Oh yeah. Never know what you're doing. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm just well with my friends and traveling all over New England. She will eventually be there. Definitely. Definitely. We're going up, not this weekend, but the following. We're going to watch our ice. So we haven't got this year. Yeah. Yeah. Now where is it again? It's in Hennecourt in the future. I really like it. Okay. These are so cute. Yeah, cute. They just put in first names right? You like everything? How are you? Good to see you. I don't see anybody in real life. I'm actually not interested in you. You did? Yeah, I know. So I want to do an author's adventure. How long do you stay? The same time when I was a kid. The theater is just where we love those works of festival. And if we get the dog meat, it's better than the other. Yeah, she's smart. Yeah, that's perfect. It's like, oh yeah, we did the show. Yeah. I mean, you know what I mean? You know what I mean? I don't know if they're poor. I don't know if they're poor. I don't know if they're poor. I don't know if they're poor. How are you? Good. It's Christy. It's my... Christy. Yeah. It's okay. No, it's okay. I can't even afford more. T-servant? Yes. Thank you. All right. Oh my god. Okay. Oh, did I know? I have the deepest views in the house. Maybe I heard something. Yeah. Um, she's always willing to do the work. We'll find something else for us to do again. I'm doing the most powerful thing for the federal government. I'm not expecting any people to like my job to take me to the state today. I'm saying it. First and foremost, okay, so that's the first thing for me. Okay, I'm going to take you to the state. I might have some great meetings. This is great. First, you can hear us. Now, we're going to be looking at what you're going to do. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Well, I said that, I'm sorry. You said it to the New Zealand people that I also did that I was specifically interested in the industry. Yes. People that you got to do that, you want to do that? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Yes. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm going to give you a commission. I'm going to give you a commission. Yeah, I should move again. I was at the point. But she was in the first place. Hello. I'm going to use your technique. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Hi, I'm Martha. Nice to meet you. Thanks for coming. We both felt out the survey and she wanted to come and I was like, okay. So, yeah, I know, it's 20 up in the national for 30 years and it's the first like city that I've done. We've got a few for 9 people, maybe that's a part of them. They bought a rabbit eat-up, nice to meet you. It's coming out that all in there, it's like a beast. Well anything. Yeah. Well, I'm just going to be about to go to the beach. Yeah, yeah. Now, this is the first moment I've been in the new town hall. Not that I was in the old town. I'm going to do that. No, but I'm going to rest now. I'm friends with Jerry. Jerry, is one of the shouts. Yeah, Jerry, who my hair is going to church for a very heavy year. I mean, like, does that I know all the people that he's been to. I didn't know him. He's still a real broadcaster. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I know, I know. I know. I know, I know, I know. I know, I know, I know. I know, I know. I know. I know. They'll be good to go. You know, we can take some extra material out of them. We're trying to take it out. It's okay. It's okay. You know, it's a little bit of a bus. Yeah. Yeah, it's very nice. It's a little bit of a bus. But why extreme encounter? Are there some, we've been trying to see if some, you know, some restaurants will, you know, or some other things. It's I would be great. So this is kind of a nice idea. I can't wait for all this like, what kind of music you have. And it would be nice to have a lot of commission work. Just to all the students, I know I have a lot of commission work. So, um, here's the strategy. Just to ask you, I have a little one here in front of me. I have a few days to make a professor. Because I don't think this is going to work. So, I think it will be a good time for you. So, I would like to ask you a question. I would like to ask you a question. I'm so happy to be here. I love to be here. I love to be here. It's either 3 or 6 weeks. It's probably 4 weeks. It's me. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm I know that this is better. I think it's still a lot better than I thought it was. But it was like I was just in a music store. I think it's probably a lot better than I thought. We have a studio in music, but I know where I'm going. The teacher, you know, is a church. I think I just think it's better than I thought. But I think it's did a little bit of this. I think I just did a little bit of this. I think I just did a little bit of this. But I do think I just did a little bit of this. But I do think I just did a little bit of this. But I do think I just did a little bit of this. But I do think I just did a little bit of this. But I do think I just did a little bit of this. But I do think I just did a little bit of this. I'm in the music industry. I've been standing in the crowd for about 2000 to 70 and we have more, that's how I met them. I was like, I'm in there really, really big life. Here's a few years from two children. I'm just like, the distance we've got from the countryside. I'm just like, I'm spending some time with them. I'm spending a lot of time with them. I'm spending a lot of time with them. I'm happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to say, I Okay everyone about two to three minutes, two to three minutes and then find your way to a circle. Pick a circle. Even like, for the blinds, you know, once a week twice a week, you can go into the future, maybe two times a week, and you're going to get up to the future. We're going to, uh, for the first time in the process, to just have this simulator in the police, so... Yeah, so if I do it right, I think I'll be able to use well, that's a good word. I'm going to be just a big, good, good. We're going to be a big, good, good, good. This actually is a good word. Good, these ones are good. Nice. Nice, good. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. I can see them in the background. I can see the circles. I can see them in the background. They're all 305. I can see them in the background. I can see them in the background. I can see them in the background. They're all 305. They're all 305. I can see them in the background. I can see them in the background. I can see them in the background. I can see them in the go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go. I'm going to have to go Okay everyone it looks like we're done dotting. Everyone could take a seat in one of the two circles here and if our commission members could just divide among those circles, don't all clump together. If there is not enough chairs, please feel free to just pull one up. We have room on this side. Okay, is everyone finding their seats? So this next, before we launch into this next session, which is going to be about 20 minutes, as I said, I would like everyone to quickly go around and introduce yourselves, just your name. If you're a resident or not, not that it matters, but it does help us to kind of gauge the interest locally and kind of really quickly and like, five words, why you're here. Okay, go. I'm a student at Wood Street. I live in the Boatwrights' Move Trial. I'm just working at the Boatwrights' Move Trial. I'm just working at the Boatwrights' Move Trial. I'm just working at the Boatwrights' Move Trial. I'm a student at the Boatwrights' Move Trial. I'm a student at the Boatwrights' Move Trial. I'm a student of the commission. And I have been found in the cash pool. And I have been found in the cash pool. I'm raised in the pool. And I saw the charts and I saw the adiat art bringing the home and I was she had a key on the scene so that we could show the shows to our shows. I was there all the way. And I'm the, I'm the photographer, I'm the photographer, I are an University of North America and I'm on the spiritual level. So it's pretty obvious where I'm in the juice. I'm in the pool of art. I'm in the pool of art. I'm in the pool of art. I'm in the pool of art. I'm in the pool of art. I'm in the pool of art. I'm in the pool of art. I'm in the pool of art. I'm interested in what you all want to ask us how members to think about what we're thinking and what we're doing. So that is what we're doing. We're building an investment here to see what we're doing. And I'm Josh and I work for the town as well in here. I live just outside town and Charles Strasfer, the one about the area. I'm a guy who's a case. I'm excited to have this place. It's great. I'm actually doing my job in public health. I'm a school principal. I'm a high-rated town. I'm not an artist. My wife is inside here, and she's working here, but I guess she's sitting. That's not working right here. So this is our guest. Yes. I have a question. I think I'm a corral, and I even... I feel like I'm a great lady. I just overrate our hand-pun panel. And I don't give you the baddest of all. My name is David. I'm a bit of a shy. And I'm very more solicitor. Actually, I'm a part of this bit. Jason Murphy, I'm a member of the terrible gang. I just work in the early age. And I'm that brother. I'm that brother. I'm that brother. I'm a good brother. I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National Assembly, I'm a member of the National I think that I'm sure of this. Yes. I think everything may not be happening. Well, I'm a bit of a student. Anybody has got a story. It's very well. So. So. You know, now I'm about two or five miles away from the following and I've been facing here on the four of them. This is on the one of them. You're all done. I'm going to take the line and Okay, good job. Y'all just about finished at the exact same time. So we'll go into discussion question number one. And again, there are some kind of more in-depth questions that the commissioners have with them. But for the next 20 minutes, I think we'd love to hear you guys delve into the concept a little bit more about what types of public art would you like to see in Ashland? Specifically, you know, I put some examples just to spark conversation. Functional art, sculpture, visual art, live performances. Are we looking at permanent or temporary installations, large scale, versus smaller, those kind of like hidden moments that that one question said. So again, take about 20 minutes and commissioners. I'm going to rely on you to kind of keep the conversation flowing as much as you can and dig for more. And then I'll give you guys probably a five to seven minute warning when it's about to see both of us. I'm not just doing what we've got. It's like a lot of people are going to be home. What's really going to be, somebody that's hard to understand, people's, I really like to see and do. It's a massive, massive, massive, massive, massive. I'm not saying the actual look. Silas Thorosa. The's an ego and topic books. You can always have the maps that we have. Is it on frames? It's actually a great concept. So, yep. Yeah. So, I just wanted to talk about the lines. So, anyways, I could have asked a little bit. Yeah, you're good. I used to work with Tavis. So, appreciate the events. I just don't know what you did. It's true. I don't know what you did. I don't know what you did. It was true. Yep. I think it made me realize that's a damage and drug them just taking down like everyone normally where she decided to be a little more with it. Yeah. We need to make these decisions. And I heard people need to be more faithful. Like, if they're talking to you as issues, and they want to do more so more, and then they're talking to you. Why don't they just be traveling and felt and then crafting their art? They are a part of the state of the tour. They are being made. All of the people that have been living, they don't even have a stand-wind. They're lighting onto the canvas. What's the point of the work? They don't even have a stand-up. It's not like he answers pain. It's like a voice over a voice over a voice over a voice, yes, I'm going to survive. And this is my age. I'm holding it. I'm holding it. I'm holding it. I'm holding it. I'm holding it. I'm holding it. I'm holding it. So, yes. It's very easy. We're having an achievement. I'm holding it. I'm holding it. I'm sorry, I don't know. The way that tree is a easy one is the way it is. It wasn't like, it was a big sliver. And she was, and there is. Yeah, I can change the color. I'm going to take one of them and go with these. And they're going to be fine. And they're going to skip it. And they're going to have to be fine. Maybe if they don't know that, they should have our feet all set. We're going to have to go to the park. We're going to have to go to the park. We're going to walk and come home. This is here. There we are. All you brought around. All you have here is looking at this white, and it's a beautiful house in the honest area. You know, there's a picture of this. Right, you know, I know this, this is the way. While we would be bringing things for the government, the sculpture, installation of the wood, we are sure that we can just find the gravity, but that's the end of it though. We have affordable baseball at our facility and are interested in our edge arts education, getting the momentum level. But we have much better than it is. So, you're right. It's an end. So, we don't want to create a playground facility or a room for any of you. And, you know, there's a bright thing that we're waiting outside at home. Because there's a Hollywood in the... A driver's car. We're a small fun. But, I mean, we're looking at the station. We've got a small, low-wheeled alley at people that are... There's a call we can find the room, how we can find the room. We went our interiors and it has a run to the all-around town. And every year they just have that same throw-off or fees, and come to the point where there's a choice to come in their place all over the place. So all of you guys are a grand in the year, and then every year we can process it into that. It's home. Play five pieces that so you want your own. and you can process it into that. I believe that this is like so, you want your own life. It's new. The reason I like it is I also have a journey where I have my day and I'm going to give people a bad, well-tacially more important of how I'm going to serve as a little bit by starting the other day. And I want to do some kind of work and a little bit of work. So that was really good. And I just think of a lot of different care in the new criminal and national defense that I'll handle. Welcome to actually the senior mayor as a really big part of the two of us. Or to where he's from, or here in the two of the two. Yes, in our case that I was to that, I mean, he's to that, or the sort of identity I tried, but for a period of fault once, and I'm a professor of identity, right? I'm a professor of security, we're both women's and I'm a history of literature. Today we've brought the average of all singers and all of them as well. I would like to ask that the question, I would like to mention, they would be told to change our culture, but yeah, they would be able to hear this here. I understand. I think that's a good question. I'm going to start this with something that's scared So we've just got our situation. They're actually usually paint the physical, both head and tail. They always paint the right crown behind the painted slave crown. So for people that could choose talent, our own message that doesn't have to be these days are all for them. Sturks and grass, or paint them. Let's take a test. I have seen the performance for born and grown and grew up in the world. He is the key to all the clothing and art that we call the green and green. It's a shame we can't decide. Yeah, yeah. But they're moving. We're showing you the green and green. They're on their own. We have no green. We're showing you the green and green. We saw andock, they did a part of our children's business. And it does keep it fresh. And it does keep it fresh. And it does keep it fresh. And it does keep it fresh. And it does keep it fresh. And it does keep it fresh. And it does keep it fresh. And it does keep it fresh. And it does a few years. Maybe I'm not going to cry. And usually, you know, things get, if there's someone in place for a long time, they get it before you know. I'm going to be doing something for you. Thank you. Thank you, Kelly. Hello. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm telling you a little bit, this is a thing, so Rob is the same. So we're not in one of the cultures and it's too much, it's probably all Rob is still in things that look new to this, and that means that we're in their places. So we have not been here for more than one year. Really, really, we can have like, that night, it was just kind of a small office, and it was a couple of things. I think the way we're doing it, is that we're focused and really keep doing it. No, no, no. I'm not ready. How do you say it? You can see that. We're focused. No, we're focused. We're focused and really keep doing it. No, no, no, no. I'm not ready. You have to say it. We're I'm going to be in the middle of the park. He is cool. But why don't you go down the farm and sit on up here? So I'm going to sit on the farm. I'm going to sit on the farm. Because I'm hearing that. You can see where it has come from. No, I'm going to sit on the farm. Let's do it. I think the loop in Treadle sawed in a 15-th of a loop. I don't know how to get to people in New York. So I'm going to tell you something. And because of pushback, I'm going on a mission where I'm going to be city, where they have an account. And South Sarah, in North, the likes of Jeff did, and we really do. And we wanted to try to find some good options. We would have had to be a safe speaker. And we would be happy to put 50 on this. But But, you know, I wear it and we just like, I can't keep working at the mic or at the cheer. People get upset. And it's just like, you can't pay in. That's what I would love to see. I think a special, I can't really believe it. It made us a lot better. But, it had all the champions. And the not that good but it can't ever come to it. And another thing that we're going to do is we know what our answer is. There's a lot of people also. So we were talking about forms, what are the other things that you want to do? I like the idea of making a picture of it, because we're even talking about it. You know, it's not always too hard. It's hard to see it. It's also hard to see it. I'll probably help you. Well, yeah. I'll probably help you. I'll probably help you. Yeah. I'll probably help you. I'll probably help you. Yeah. I'll probably help you. I'll probably help you. I'll probably if you were on the Argonne County here the girls are the kids, I was on the square side of the world and they turned out lovely and well they're three that are that was darkening and one of like one of them fell together so when you're walking on the sidewalk it would be funny and you were thinking like that all over the place yeah it's not a huge thing and it's like that. All of the trials. Yeah, it's not a huge thing. And it's like, it works for the side-clock. It's a little more realistic. It's a gameplay. It's a little more realistic. God, it was asking this so wrong. That would be a really fun way to discover. Amber, you did a great job. I think what's important is that you're something that you can't do about the stuff you said. Yeah, so it's a great school is because they can wear local clothes and wear a hair. And it's a very concentrated area. And it's a little bit of grayish, like a change of color. Yeah, green just started. Yeah, we got talks about it. Okay. We agreed to put those on the ground terms. Yeah. We were actually like, you know, we had to go in. Yeah. How about us? I think the hard one. I don't know. People can't find that. I don't know. People can't find that. People can't find that. People can't find that. People can't find that I'm going to go to their website. It looks a lot more like a movie. Probably you have that. Yeah. Love you. It's not really. You're really good. Yeah. You're good. Yeah. You're not. Yeah. You're not. You're not. You're not. You're not. You're not. Yeah. You're not. You're not. Yeah. You I don't know where we stand. I knew it was a government environment, but since we have birth educators here, I've used to get, we used to probably slip in, I think, with your own perspective, you were personally I would always like to see something that if somebody has a primary gender or a birth or a lack of this is a correlation of a figure one year, a big difference from being a elementary and an installation of a classroom that has a permanent identity as a community. They were not in campus, like the blocks of art, they could have other kids at home, so to be a pimple, I think, and never really got it. But then, you know, I think you would be fun to work with kids or have a little joy in your life, but at least for a while. There's areas that get to decide, and so, I got people to make a fancy place of their songs, and I. I heard that a little concerned about your father. My family and the gay people have been especially the biggest part of that sort of experience. And I can't admit that I have to be one of the kind of interested in this. We know you're old. And I'm sure we should have been able to make it happen. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know. We know with every public project. That's what you get into. That's it. I'm here for... Thank you. Sorry. You're welcome. Yeah, we do try something. We're here for the police. But that means, like, let's go for a drink. I'm sure. I have a suggestion. I have this, uh, we end up, uh, we... This is something else, uh, uh, but, trailer for the first time. Oh, the Heritage Day. Oh, we've got the trailer. It's not even built. Oh, and there's artworks. We'll be around the pictures. Look at the pictures. The things that are kind of over the tree caught in the art of the heroes. And then also that onward in the start of the arrangement, we have with the series about the Halloween over the gym and go and finish the houses. But like, it's a little sculptor. Everything else? And then that will, I appreciate everything else. It's a stumble-hate problem, and it's really, really special. It's more common. So I'd like to be able to do something that's longer and trail-wise. And it's really good. But I can give people have them to do some work that could be really glass work, especially the blocks, this is the town, this is the park, all the work property, there's something I've loaded up, it's the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the blocks, the state of the world. They have four concrete councils that are changed on these sites and then they can be. People have already been used to mint soldiers that is weather-soul, and they're not in the state of the world. The program was on a single day of the 12 months round. And then they're also here for Christmas. So someone wants to sign up into those 12 months and just sign up I'm going to point to the end of this full plan. So just not that this process is going to be going to the harness. At that time, there are things such as the other round, and there are things you're going to have to make sure you're at that position. The reason. That means that the town, that would give you the time. The ability to have to have this just goes to the hands. And then lean a bit, they just eat vegetables. We have more than just like the sheets of our feed, however it's good. You have to get art and show so that you're going to have some sense of art and what we did in the beginning. We used to have a length of dead hand art gallery. We don't have that in longer beans. And though, has art in it, but I know they're functioning there's space between them. And as far as I know, they have a other than on campus. On the road, metal sculptures. It's like three-star leads that round. Yeah, I think it's like five minutes. We did three minor urges last year, and like this, I believe that I could. All right, about five more minutes on this topic. And now the news. We're going to show you here, because it's about, why do we want to do this stuff? So it's going to be something that we actually do in self-centered streets We are also at the most important part of the year because why before? Because we are at the most important part of the year. We also have lost our history. But that is another way we like to do, it is a product for you or someone to do things with it. They give you that. And we do not charge them a special game for like a full time. There's a lot of different choices. I have had a musician or a musician. I think you might say the fourth one. Fourth Friday. I would love to see them go taller. I understand those grades differently. They're pretty, sometimes they like a four-cut sticks around a little bit longer, but I think it's much more driving than issues in the Halloween. I think it would be really great if it opens up a bit more opportunity for artists because I've got some pieces of for artists, but it's... We have two or three artists out there. It shows the culture to be this way. It's probably up to... Well, maybe it was whether it's something for some reason that the last season was whether it's bad. It's like way to every country. Last season, for the Friday season, it was a very, very late season. It would be, it would be bad. Or having little balls. You know, if it's culture, then it'll happen to cause an open time. And I ask about the welding process. So I got to do my paint, and when I asked about it, I asked if you're any cancer-cowarder, this is for a more sharp end. I'm supposed to have those parts or even if I would be in contrast or in my compliment, complimenter, it's something that I men and John Kerry here. I mean, they are considered the least couple of our people that are installed. Some of them are on private property and we don't run down to the brewery. But there are many of them that are stored right out of the years. I mean, there you go. I'll go get all of them, but in light, shows they have a rhythm. Like, once that is implemented, install and grow on people and then it's all wrong if you believe in the situation that this is going on. So you kind of go into our collection of the three of us. And also in the Washington, they have part of that. It's completely the real one part of the kind of a motivation. But our downtown system is the women's spearheading that. That's about oh it's like a ritual tour of like rail history and actually a bit more right. It's like some guys have been working here and did these splashes. I'm attaching it to the actual storage as a tour. Are there photographs, paintings, these sculpture, train? I showed you. Yeah, train, and it'll show you the platform. I'll be sculpting your train. I mean, not all over the place. About the year before. But it was six. Are we still getting the time? We're still getting the time. I'm going to do a lot more time. So last time I heard that Brownstein, they made an offer to St. I don't know if they have a certain number that they don't go well either. I don't know if they're like, I'm not brown sign, but they are the same. They're like the former. We have a sign line. We have a sign line. We have a sign line. We have a sign line. We have a sign line. We have a sign line. And so, that's an awkward end from the year. Superman. Superman. All right about one minute left. I'm going to go see the power of the answer. Show the answer. Show the answer. In any car. Yes. Yes. Yes. There's one have any questions. I don't want any comments. Yes, there's one I've provided. I'll show you. There's one like artist and there's like artist, journal, church, and this one. We have a community in our field. I've got a few years now. Right now, I'm a teacher. It's a few years ago. I've got a couple of articles. I've read a whole bunch of articles. But I would look to snow and then some more. I'm a little bit of a meagan science of beautiful people who are in garden from the time. I'm a meagan. I'm a meagan. And all of our gardens at the center have done my rainbow blankets to do and made a meagan. So I was going to be working definitely eventually. And I'm going to be a meagan. So I'm going to be a in here real quick with everybody. If you could just pause your comments. I've been listening and this next prompt, I think you've kind of already gotten into on some of occasions, but if you would like to more specifically talk locations or if our commission members that have kind of the more in-depth questions would like to have any kind of more fleshed out conversations but really we're looking at how to prioritize where to do it. You know, there's, it would be nice to be able to do things everywhere but if we are looking at prioritizing commission dollars and town budget money to make an impact in the next five years which is what the master plan scope is. In the next five years where should we be focusing our dollars to place art and I would love for you to be as specific as possible. So not just downtown, think about is there a big ugly brick wall somewhere that we should try to get a mural on? Is there a corner somewhere where, you know, that is the pocket of a gateway to a neighborhood? And I understand for those that may not live in town, this might be a hard thing to identify. But think about the places you go and where some whimsies, some beauties, some interest might be a great place to have something pop up, okay? And I'll give you all about 20 minutes or less if things start to wrap up, but go for it. I think there are eight exhibits but maybe four or five of them are actual physical things that are going to be taken, put down that will take up space that could have otherwise been art. Trying to take up places that are actually absolutely physical there, but the place it does come is no more scanning the place it was there is no installation there it's gonna be one I think it's I don't know. I think I said it but yeah. Well, when people do not know that in Math, they are trying to be clubbed in us. Okay, look at the names. They are going south, and you can use the names of clubs. That's actually a good thing. Yeah, the brown and drys, basically, we want to make these as clear as possible. Yeah, that's very much well. But the MFM has multiple nested outages. We've got the roasting press that we want to put a little which is basically his downtown district, is Route 1 basically the old 7-Eleven, right, the little Ashland Food Markier Henry Clay Road, which is kind of the Fidentis building up there, and the Henry Clay Inn down to the Peninfo. So that's kind of a teeth, a crawl in the basement. Mrs. Wings. That's a trolley. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You trolled a lot on the crawl. No. I just think I think of it. I think of it. Yeah. Yep. I think it's true. It's fun. That's good. So we're going to have a thing. So I think that's really it. Like, I think that's what we're going to have in the next couple of minutes. I think that's what we're going to have in the next couple of minutes. I think that's what we're going to have in the next couple of minutes. I think that's what we're going to have things that other than the other. So what I am starts at the whole range of law. We have to be out to the top of the air, like the track down, like straight lines going down, and only to help out the rail. We're going to get, well, I would love to say when I start next week, we've got one easement we have to negotiate. That's it and we'll make it all going to end. And then the next phase. I think that week, we've got one easement we have to negotiate. That's it and we'll make it all going to end in the next phase of the week. But I think that it's done before the end of the day. So I've always counted to do with the actual end of the week. So we've got a courage that helps us to get the actual end of the week. I'm going to have to make that one. I'm going to have to make that one. I'm going to have to make that one. I'm going to have to make that one. I'm going to have I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Okay. Because you drive down the deforet, I think once, and I have that great big of a sense of parking on, and then you have these shots here so that the way that it's built or something. One of the railroad things will be there, but it won't, I mean, it's not going to take up huge space. It's like 10-by-10 or something like that, but it's the corner self-paste. That's what I'm saying. Before I started, this is called the tea. So if you know that, I'm going to try to give you a little, or it's in the process, I'm going to talk about it in the staff. We're in a process that's trying to secure his and drive, drive, walk, and the big, you're going to get this across the street to do some light orange, and it's basically a welcome to the store, the actual city. Status of the commission, once we have these on the side, we'll be issuing an R and C for that to do the design and fun. At least on the staff's side, if I'm not familiar with the commission side, there is a large appetite to just say, not having a rent, we're a radical game, and making kind of a run, and just say, not any, when you're a radical, and you can kind of run, and that's, you know, you get to, so hopefully, fingers crossed, we're kind of finding the right to do the same thing for the crown property. Because you swing through during the spring times, it's usually interesting, like, an old favorite part of these beautiful lights, flower, rings, and it's done hardly. You may have to believe, even when you're using Even like Chinese trucks were like our kids. That might be the cost of the planes. The car could be bought in a corner. It needs a computer. I don't see any cars. There are two. Where's the bullseye? All right. You guys are wherever, right? You guys are trying to capture. You guys throw a roll. I'm trying to capture. Dini got a wear, a sample of this, wearing that face. It might be a bank there. Looks like he's in. He used to be a big bank. Right next to our house, brothers? Yes. Right there. We're putting down the cargo dresses. Yes. That's the jewelry. That brand of jewelry. It's not a the end of the world. This is a little bit of an ash. Just as something that goes down, it could just give it a baby building, but it's dark. Yeah, on the early days, I think it's dark. I think it's dark, but I think it's fucking better. Yeah, I don't want to be able to pour it in. It's the edge of the edge. It's very easy to get. It's very hard to spray. I'm a little bit on that again. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm a kid. I'm just going to go to the library. I'm going to go to the library. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been here. There are people who have been The bike breaks that came in OA or something like that. People did their bikes and kind of made them nice flower bed every pink to them up and they were placed all around town. It's really nice. I at least, but there I have a skin or no bite on. So, when she had a hand at that car, I think it's really hard to find a friend. That's the actual thing. So, I want to see him out there. Yeah, we're straight. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We went in with the kids. We But like, you know, like I said, one, like, you know, behind, there's no more pressure exactly where she's lying but around. But it's worth a count. A lot of things around the way you're in the audience. But like, the audience, you know, short version of the answer is there's no operating. There is a capital budget, but that is, I mean, it's $50,000 for eight projects, not to sprite across men. The direction from council for their first project was, do one thing and show us you can do it, right? But get something installed, show us you can do it, and then we're gonna trust you and let your brother. This didn't have small, good things to do. I don't know what you're gonna do with these. I don't know what these are. Ask the artist in the room, no idea. Let me do it. I don't like the way these guys do. Ask the artist in the room. No, I don't. I think it was a voice in the name. Oh, he's so nice. All right. It's so nice to find a nice map. Yeah. Well, one idea for that first project, but really, they're working on creating a master plan. So this info will help dictate that and what goes on in the future. Yeah. Sacred Heritage listening here. Please have a seat. I want to speak to this white Senator. Is that okay? I think it's too... We're on this street. It's working. Great. It's a great place to buy a small ticket. It's a tiny way like that. I'm a little... I'm a little... pads. I was a twin. I was a founder of pads. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I was a double. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. and we're going to have to do that. And I think that's what we all need. We need to be very, very important. And then check everybody's thoughts. Like, what's our final point? One of the things that comes around to the need for something to come on, is something to identify. Creating wonderful prayer for people and perhaps, or something to's the entry we do, put that up a little bit, and walk a little bit. And walk a little bit. No, that's it. And for some of the now, I know a lot of cash, but I never just spread out one for a quest of breaking down to the loop, we have to do the national work on your federal rule. I think there's never got to. We're on the side. We're going to go to the National Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the Court on the House of the what was the idea of the way that you mentioned it? I did all the way up to the internet. I did all the way up to the internet. I did all the way up to the internet. I did all the way up to the internet. I did all the way up to the internet. I did all the way up to the internet. I did all the way up to the internet. I did all the way up to the internet. I did all while we went into the Bay John Bay. So it's kind of like there's a hill there so it's really nice that you kind of come up and it signifies exactly what our first sign is. All the way across the road. I'm a survivor. Yeah. I did strong veterans too. They've been angry. The magic of the town has said it. I think my soul is a bit of a state. Why won't it be? It's about the Hamlet St. Hamlet. It's probably the name of the city property. Yeah, not now. Yeah, because it's such a beautiful architecture. Well, the integration between the two photographs is something that areas. That's just a part of the park. It's an area. Right. But you can get it from the AC to the Red Space. Right now, too. It's on the red screen. It's on the red screen. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What did you say to the... Oh, the'm sorry. I called her, and she said, I'm not part of the number of things. Yeah, but it would be nice to be in a way that would allow the... Oh, this is quite... I performed it there. It's really beautiful, the inside, you know. Like, it's actually kind of... Yes. I want to... Where do I get my hair? a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it's a light, it I keep asking about that fully unflatelated thing too. This is what we've been talking about. Same thing, so it's totally different. That's what we were talking about. Yeah, that's what we were talking about. That's a little pain. That's what we talked about. But the long story of the hour now. Mm-hmm. That's what I'm talking about. But maybe that's the other thing. You may be part of the work of the tribe of the New York Times. Right? The leaders of the tribe are not saying it, they're a very different image. Yeah, so we have very little conversation. But each of the iron co-cuse is the work of the river. We have like little things for now. So everybody must art with the girls in part of the whole community. Or the different dealers of the names. Yeah. The names of the people. And then they say, the names of the people. Way of like, with the signage, but they're kind of like sculpted girls. Okay, about five minutes left on this topic. different. They're just a big village. I mean, I don't know what's the process of calling it a call. There are people who are being being what they're going to be. So maybe you can get some people in the family to do something before they put the countertides on history because their families are a history and they try to find families. And maybe neighborhood centers I don't know. I don't know. And let me be neighborhood center so if within one building, you're told we're going to see something like that. So, I think this is what I love to see. I know. I know. It's not well-served. I don't know. Very well-served. I think being able to go in there is a big mural on the wall. And it shows how the college or how the rights are made. And people in, I guess, can sound interesting. And I mean, very college people. And jobs are a doctor, again, really. And I was like, OK, I'm not like, I'm not like, I'm not like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm not sure if you're interested in the comments, but I'm sure you're interested in the comments. I'm sure you're interested in the comments. I'm sure you're interested in the comments. I'm sure you're interested in the comments. I'm sure you're interested in the comments. I'm sure you're interested in the comments. I'm sure you're interested in the comments. I think it's a tough thing to talk about. What are people really talking about? There she has easements based on group 1 and group 2 locations. They know in 54 core that. There's something on the field. So whether you want to do a long make and make it really nice to be a little more defensive or what they did was really nice. But those were all bad expenses. There you go. The plane are planning for the department. It's always a good way to provide funding like they're gonna be in the image is already for downtown. And then we work with them with the thing that are part of it as well. So in the same way, we need for maps with parts, right? If any of our parts were in person, you want to match the part that you want in the artist's take on them. Oh, one thing. Then we're going to be in the position to set those and then in this way we had now. What did we first? For the occasion we got to give her. We had to get that on the screen just to get each beautiful, and that's all. We had that in our agenda and we had to get a little bit of a discussion. That's what I wanted to say. This was the end of the fall on the video. And so, where is it really stop? We got to do all the way here. Something down by the public park. Is it technically terminates in part or part? But we're working on sidewalks and stuff to bring everyone all the way up to sound. To get advantage of the access. We're all really able to access the city. Did you have Saturday soundtracks, the soundtracks. And I know that I really also kind of have the more analogs here. There is a lot of work going on. Well, there's the trail, the one track, the National White Ground. Route 1, I think actually John loved that one. We're not much from the other part of the Mars. We just want our got on each rail. And then, yeah, on this side, we don't want to put it down as college. And I don't think the things are exactly these abstracts for anybody. So the next problem is, I'll tell you, the greatest thing that has been said. Yes, but I know the musicians. That's the rail line train. Right up there along the long side of the train. It's not technically called the train. That's not a train. So the next one is the station. So they introduce you to the downtown train. I think we should. The part of the hotel practice is the driver's seat. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we are the local practice for the practice. Yeah, so that would happen. Like, the sign, it's almost over in different areas. We do sponsor Saturday's soundtrack. And then, right, the word channel has musical often. And that's the Saturday's soundtrack. Is that what we do? Yeah, go around. Yeah, that's okay. We're all on the same level. And we have to have one to record. Yeah, why do So, in the case of the interstate, actually, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, the interstate, I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, but I know some of you aren't from national, Okay, I think we're going to transition to our third and final segment. What role do we think public art should play in Ashland and what should be its benefits? And I want you to try, and if you're not a local, I still would like you to try with whatever your experiences of Ashland, to put on the hat of what you think this community would appreciate, not necessarily you personally, but what would do well here? Do you think that the community would support public or that beautifies public spaces, sparks conversations? Are they looking for something that creates interaction and builds community? Given the makeup of the town of Ashland, our kind of layout, our population, kind of what you know and have experienced in the community, what do you think would be successful here, kind of the purpose, not what it looks like or where it is, but the goal. Right? We've had a touch on that, especially the topic about the order in front of the shop that's entered the building that was in the shop, that are around the city, and they may not be here. So just to let you know that I am to be... Yeah, something that draws people to the permanent arts, which is closer towards the track, like you were saying, the company, they don't clean past that, so you just say, you have something down. These system affects for half a mile, and see what they do. Well, like, this place isn't a matter of time I'm not going to let you know that I don't think we're speaking that help promote this bill. Not my people, but we're just gonna let it rest on the bill. I don't know if it's going to be so similar. That's what H.S. is. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. There's no need to wear a few things. I don't know. I don't know. I just don't know exactly what exactly that. I'm not the best. I'm the best. I'm the other way. I'm a player after a variety. Another one of the letters on round one. She says, I'm a child of the age. We don't be gathering. We're being like pieces of hearts. You say, it's a match. We're old. I'm like, I'm a liar, give us a space. Yeah. Yeah. It's nothing. It's nothing. More important. This is your right hand. That's the truth. Yeah. What church is it? Hey, it comes with my room. It's a work of bread. It's for the Christmas day. Honey, you know, Christmas day. It's the Christmas day. It's the Christmas day. I'm not going to have to resign. I'm going to have to resign. No, you might have to send out on the horse. They have one front and one rear of our executive. I think in this context big part of our team. It's a big part of our team. It's a big part of our team. It's a big part of our team. The biggest watcher that they have this thing in a literature is doing people to... I'm not sure if it's okay with you. Pardon? I don't know. I'm so sorry. I don't know. I'm just wondering what you're doing. I don't know what you're doing. I can't. And I'm sorry. I miss committing physical assaults. I never really know. I'm sorry. There's a wildfire in the woods. I'm just going to destroy it. I have a question. They're basically base level government now, or who is doing that. When they're supposed to speak, our special audience said that does lead to everything else said in our area. It's been proposed to be tried, but that's not the right thing to do. It's like, it's the right thing for us to do. It's the right thing for us to do. It's the right thing for us to do. Make sure that somebody who's due, but we're very happy with the pandemic. I can't concentrate on this. I can't concentrate on this. So that you're really full of complicity and everything. You can go to each and every day. And I can just see so much fun stuff. And forget the good idea of the year. Like, yeah, I'm things here. But still, how would you lose an ominase? There's a play hard to hit them. And you know, it's like saying, you're not bad for shooting families. So you have to do things. Sometimes you need to play for them. Do you play for them? Or a kid who's there. No, it's not. Right. Actually, I'm good at it. No, it's not. Right. It's a little good to myself. Obviously, it's really good to have some people in on the company. That's a bit of a waste of getting out of people with us. Those that are out and out of the network, what we should have been here for. Not a lot of other resources. I won't share a lot of them. For a lot of other things, I don't know. Oh, three months. If Michelle I'm not going to question the new job. We get that I'm supposed to try and see what I'm going to do. I'm going to go about it for a few minutes. You're sorry. I'm sorry. I'm really excited to be here. I'm really excited to see people like all these people. They use them. You're not going to get it. That's really, really, a lot. So the idea is we're going to be able to. Where are not going to do it. Downshed. Where are these? Can with the heat stroke. You're one forty percent. Here's the bag that I always ordered for. I'll put the count in black and blue, so it's on the fever. On the railroad tracks. It's more good to stay at the park. I've seen a bit of a strong city in our corner, and we made a good job out of it. The Asheville Library there. I've asked Shunne to help me to is valid even in the rich run over here at the Eiffel House. And then the National Persons are shown by the expedient tribes. It isn't that it isn't that we can be good at anything. And in that case, what I do have to say is that all of us, to me, as you know, I'm not answering, but I come back to the end of the energy development. There was a lot of people come your own purpose and join the bar with the same kind of foot that was put there. So we had to have to have to be the fans of the animals that we have. Or like you know, just your more hands on it, or a more awkward one ever. You still have to get those hands down. At the moment, you know, at least for a little bit and it's a nice chance to be able to go to the club. Maybe I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think that's why I think Everyone from the paper that is in this school is actually part of the school. If you really know what it's called, it's a story with more of a movement. For example, I'm a Secretary of the University of the University of Canada. We're going to have a Washington County town. The school of the University is like a great, well-known train, I think, against the town. It's the train people that work at the county. The idea of where many different kinds of other things that we have to help them. We'll use these for our research. I'm just going to break them down. I'll use some voices. I'm going to make sure that it's not only very simple, but anyway, so while we're back there, it's part of actually one of them for it. But all that speaks to what both of you were just saying. You're saying it's kind of a desert down there and you're saying, what do you start with to bring them to other places? If you could get, I think we've done well on center street and kind of the idea, at least for foot traffic, is to try, make sure people are experiencing the entirety of it. Right? Experience all the way from the bake shop, whatever it is and whatever it will be in the future, all the way over to here. And that's what I would dream to these types of projects could do. It's not just put everything right on you. Then it's reading the relevant draft. That's hopefully all think of as action and love as action, but that actually lets you experience the entirety of the downhand. Now I mentioned the sea. It's not a question of the sea. It's a little bit astounding, but a lot of it's a private final generation of food, do you get those, there's the way, throw a mission, but they're not even like a well-known guide for showing signs of a rare so you are coming off and asking, what, you see them doing things like we were standing in the pool back then, like maybe she could pull that. And then hopefully, like the path of the milling, you're just like, you can't of the milling, we're talking about the hard drive, we're here in a year of traveling, and then it's first year after the little, and something that we're going to get to here. So the rapid hopefully, and yes, but it would be great to have all kinds of services. And we're believe that with the risk of the market that you were talking about. The first few years of that, there was a couple vendors right in the down town, this last one. There was one back then. We talked about it in the beginning. And I was having a hard time because of the squirrels and the umbrain. The posterior. So hopefully that was meant to be the next guy. So there was a solution more of that. Yes. The elephant. All right. So you're really the fourth speaker. more events. Yes. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. The elephant. I'm not a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm a criminal. I'm considering is what we're going to do. I've never seen any like roles or whatever, dating numbers, where we get in. And that would be really interesting to see, like, make other people be currently in the and the side of the Verhius Lundin, and then look at the big events and see what they were doing. So, we'll go well. The position is right there. So, you've already had the third conversation. I'm looking at your thoughts on shouldn't people like you're going to miss your mission? You're going to cry for a life of trans artists. They close to local, and shut people in. Yeah, yeah. I think I. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I and communicate that I think it would be nice to accept the awkwardness of the color. One of the things that we've done, we just have to use that event, we'll make it successful. We think that makes a lot of people to get in touch with. And if you have those, you can use those sort of artists till I'm no formal list. Well, do you guys think that any works? No, we're good. I get a lot of thoughts on something that would be great to see from your permission. Now, what you got to make me cry over this, but we're good. I get a lot of thoughts on something that would be great to see from your question. Now, what you got is maybe the pilot list of the warrants. I'm trying to get it. Yeah. Well, the way they would work is that we've issues, you know, request for proposal. And so, and as typically the way it works for these businesses is you issue a request or proposal, and each piece that proposal has a score to it. And if you make the emphasis is on trying to prioritize for us in a certain amount of radius, and they would proceed extra weighted score if they were in the previous area. So that's an option. I'm like, there are some big clothes that are even more like, love it when you're looking out, not a big, hot and big style of the piloted and they have been great. Yeah, and some of it may be, but it's a big, healthy project. Are you? We're talking about this, so the journey is not so, like, we're gonna have to have some workers and that's a very specific, a nice program that I've asked so many other stuff that we're talking about. You can keep my break up with me. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. Make up shots. I'm not going to have that meeting. I'm going to have the meeting. I'm going to have the meeting. We have to do not do anything. We're going to have the meeting. We're going to have the meeting. We're going to have the meeting. We're going to have the meeting. We're going to have the meeting. We're going to have the meeting. We're going to have the meeting. We're going to have the meeting. I'm going forward. You have to work. I don't know the same. I don't know why you feel it's not good. It's not good. Yeah. Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? Should we go forward? We have designed guidelines, what Ken can do. Now, I will say, I'm going to try and make this brief, this one kind of off topic. But we've had a conversation a lot of people say I don't think of us as a part of the actual night look. There's not a part of the architecture, there's not, I mean, there's no different architectures, we can go down there all but a lot of people think it's the college and all the work. There's a lot of people think it's centristry with all the historic homes and that age of architecture. There's a lot of with other age neighborhoods and so coming to the national, I think it's always difficult for us to say, oh, we do have regulations for, as close as we could get to what we thought they nationaled. They thought that this is a whole lot of work. And then you have to say, I said, I'm not going to say that. I said, I'm not going to say that. I said, I'm not going to say that. I said, I'm And then yes, they were definitely incentives. I mean, that's the fight we have. Something simple in government D is sign. Giant sign that no one potentially will pop. Do you like to have that? giant sign that now is the potentially popular, right? I don't know, I don't know. I don't know. Why did you let him have that? All our regulations say, we want my... All right, down on the ground, make them look nice, make them look good. But part of the negotiation, really, is zoning and we try not to be the headless hand except for it's just as it governs. And so the rule we have is that sign, as long as you don't change anything about it, except what it says, you can keep the structure. I'm not going to make you pay to build a brand new sign. You can change up the pace. But as soon as you want to change the sign itself, you've got to go with the stand. And so it's kind of the use zoning that isn't a territory for the building. I know you can't afford to do that. You do it the way I want it. It's to try to make incremental change over competitive, right? Yeah, because they are open. One of the main reasons they open so late is they wouldn't let them hit off the screen. They're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, they're like, But again it's all about square footage right so that was counted as sine square footage and it was too much. It wasn't. It's like that. Try to wrap up your comments in the next couple minutes. I didn't want that. If there's something that you really want to get with writing, I'm trying to be a hush. I'm just going to have a walk. So the vacant post is left for ending now. I'm so that they can post. What's wrong? I don't know. I don't know. There is no way. It's not the emergency set. Maybe when it's coming, actually, we don't have lights. And the car's a bit red. And it doesn't have, like, a few information that we might as well as be just in. Or we might just walk together. And so, it's a different brand of wood. We get times to ride, we go We do not want to do that. From the government's perspective, we have a very good relationship. We're not trying to do that. Operation. You could be our administration. All right, everybody. Let's go ahead and wrap up. What I would like to ask. Order. Order. Thank you, everybody. I heard a lot of great conversations. What I would like to do is ask, I'm going to put some of my commissioners on the spot. I would like each of you to think of one of, there's how many of you in each group. I see, okay. Each of you are going to tell me like one idea or something that kind of like stuck with you. It doesn't mean it's the only thing we're going to take away. Obviously, we have a lot. But just for the benefit of the whole group, since you guys were divided in half, so that this group can hear some ideas of this group and vice versa. Is there someone on my commission that would like to start? I'm just going to run through a couple of things. Oh, yes, sir. All right. Those guys don't be funny. All right. When we were talking about what some of the major ones were murals and maps of the parks, sculptures, the involvement of school children to do like a community, a collaborative piece was another idea with an educational aspect. I feel like I'm going to miss some things. Native things that are native to Virginia, like plants, animals, hidden gems. We talked a lot about hidden gems. You know, art in places that people would have to find and sort of work their way through, like maybe trails and things like that. Let's see. Am I missing anything with the what? Sure. Okay, thanks. Okay. Oh, park benches. We talked about park benches and collaborating with the parks and rec committee. Let's see. I think I skipped a little too fast. Wait, okay, so where we said it seemed like the main emphasis was on the parks and trails Bringing people into historic downtown I think those are the to you, Michelle. Number three was the, what was the question? Oh, the why. So bringing people together in the community, an opportunity to teach and history and interaction with the community and kids and people of all ages, and beautifying public spaces. So. I need to do that on the shelf. Anything else? Oh, then you cannot develop it. Oh. The only thing I have to add is little art shows. Kind of like what they have at Refunquet. But all over town, right? But all over town, right? But all over town. No, right. All right, whoever you're going to like to the first stop. Jane? I'm going to do my best. Okay, so I was thinking just kind of one of the themes of what we talked about. A lot of it was how to get people in, how to draw people in. I think Charles has come in about the trails in directing people in from the end of that trail. Yes. Yes. We talked about beautifying eye-saurer sort of spots, how to get people from 95 in to town. We talked about, we talk about free art boxes as well. We talked about temporary sort of installations, temporary art, we talked about events and how to bring people into town. We talked about the events how to bring people into town. We talked about the events that currently bring people into town and perhaps some new events. We talked about some preferred mediums. I heard wood bronze and murals. Let's see. We talked about making people, making a place special. I think that's what you said, Grace, you know, that when you make a place feel special, you hit on all the notes in that question three. Like when it feels like a place you want to be, when it feels unique, when it feels special, then you hit everything. You want to be when it feels unique, when it feels special, then you hit everything. Do you want to add? I think a topic that seemed to get a lot of traction is kids' interactive art pieces, whether the impacts are where would that be? Downtowns, we talked about like the splash zones and whatnot, like they have in downtown Winchester, where water is actually shooting up out of the sidewalk on the downtown mall Could be in the parks and along the trolley trails could be No more of an urban kind of thing, but anyway more kid-focused interactive hands-on kind of stuff kind of stuff. Okay, well thank you all for your participation and we really, really appreciate everybody coming out here and giving up their time, especially in the evenings. We know how precious everyone's time is and you're just your interest and passion for not just art but making Ashland a better place to live and work. And I'm going to be a little bit cheesy and say, everybody deserves a round of applause, because this is the first public art commission the town has ever had. This is going to be the first ever public art master plan with some money to back it up. So you're all a part of history. So give yourselves a round of applause. Thank you so much. There will be additional opportunities for public input in a kind of more formal setting following this as we continue with our master plan process. Anyone is welcome to come to any of our regularly scheduled meetings. As you saw, there's a citizen input portion at every single meeting and you can provide input on any topic related to public art. It doesn't have to be on the agenda for that evening. So if there's something that you want to share or a concern or a question you have, please feel free to come and continue to engage with the commission. And then once we get farther down the line, once we kind of have the skeleton and the draft of the public master plan, it will go up for public comment. So you will have the opportunity But all the public will have the opportunity to review the plan that the commission has pulled together with staffs Assistance and provide more pointed feedback on the components of the plan. Okay. Does anyone have any more questions before we kind of Resume and finish our kind of normal business any more questions before we kind of resume and finish our kind of normal business. Okay, thank you for coming. You're welcome to stay for my very exciting staff report, but if you have families to get home to we completely understand no hard feelings. Okay, thank you for coming. And if I could have my commission members return to their seats, we can finish out the meeting. I'll see you next time. Okay. Okay. Okay, because like, we're done. What are we done? About us. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're Thank you. I'm going to have to exercise. So. We'll welcome you guys to the next one. We're going to have to sit down. There. Big of a deal. So you like that one, right? Okay. Right now. Your train is here. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. out tonight and participated in our focus group. Thank you very much. We're gonna move on to commission member reports. Ms. Miller. Before I do my staff report, I just wanted to ask if there were any members of the commission that had anything they'd like to share since our last meeting kind of experiences with art in the community or things they've come across that they thought might be to the benefit of others on the commission and the audience. No? Okay. All right. So moving on, I'll handle my brief staff report, which is not too long this month. So a little bit of up and update on our friend's secretary. The Ashland Museum and Secretary for Virginia Committees are going to be hosting a groundbreaking on February 7th at 11 a.m. at the future side of the monument, which is right down here on the railroad tracks. All are invited to attend. I would encourage members of the commission if you're available to come out. I think they're planning on making it kind of a big to-do. Their media is going to be invited and there's going to be speakers and a couple different things going on. And that is the February 7th date has been selected because at the regularly scheduled town council meeting on the February 6th, town council will vote on a resolution to formally accept the monument as a gift to the town. The deed of gift paperwork is already in process with the museum for us to take ownership of that amazing piece of artwork. And then as far as I know, I'm not on the site planning committee. Ms. Barnhart might be able to provide an input if there is some update on that, but the dedication, kind of unveiling is planned for March 30th. And that is going to be a big to do in downtown. Ms. Barnhart, did you wanna add anything to kind of where things stand? Yeah, everything you've said is correct. They are just in the process of finalizing the granted and the benches and those types of things. They understand that everything will probably not be in place by the 30th, but definitely Secretary is going to be there. So that's the most important part anyway. So they're working really hard on that and everything's fallen in the place. They're so appreciative of the town and everyone and so looking forward to having them downtown. And one thing I did here today from a couple members that came in to look at some paperwork that is very exciting is I think the plan when they presented it to the commission was that it was kind of on a pedestal the monument would be on a pedestal they've decided to put that the horse actually on the ground. Because of the scale of the site but also the scale of the horse so there's going to be a better, they feel like it's going to be easier to appreciate the beauty of the sculpture. The other very cool facet that I just learned about today is the monument is actually going to be in a sand epoxy mount, and they're actually collecting sand from all of the tracks that Secretariat ran on to create that epoxy. So there'll be a little piece of all of the tracks in there, which is a very cool detail. So very exciting. Next question. What time on February 7th? It's 11 a.m. 11 a.m. And there'll be some. I think there's already been a little bit of a press about that, but we'll also be sharing it on our channels as well. I think there's already been a little bit of press about that, but we'll also be sharing it on our channels as well. Next, we already talked about this kind of in our groups, but I want to just add because no art is too small to make a note of, especially in this venue, but ReFunket has installed a little free art gallery with the assistance of community member Lilly Dufrein. You see in my notes, it's adorable. I went over there today and looked at it. And if you're wondering, she is a young woman who's a local, their picture is on their Instagram and their Facebook. And it's just a great little asset. And I think was a nice spur for some ideas here tonight. So follow up on the culture works partnership with the town of Ashland that I mentioned at our last meeting, we met with the YMCA and a local organization called Divine Assist, which for those of you that are not familiar with, they have opened a youth center across the street from the Ashland Church of God, which is adjacent to Puffer Belly Park. So we targeted those two organizations mainly because they have a nice captive audience of school-aged kids already in place, especially kids that come from communities that have not lack access or have historically lacked access to the arts. So the culture works is hoping to do eight week classes with both organizations, one hour at a piece. They're going to customize the art based on the interest of the groups in our conversations with the YMCA. They felt like visual art. Something very tactile and hands-on would be very successful with their group. And then the divine assists expressed a lot of interest in a recurring dance class with maybe some drumming for the boysacists expressed a lot of interest in a recurring dance class with maybe some drumming for the boys because they have a lot of girls there that really into dance. So they're looking into even having the Alec Bafoklor society come up and do some traditional African dance classes with them. So I will be sure to keep the commission in the loop as those are kind of finalizedized and scheduled. For those that are interested, there will be opportunities for volunteering to pop in and help out as your schedules and interests allow. The Ashland Gateway Project, I mentioned this in both groups. We are in final conversations with those property owners on those easements. I'm very hopeful that we will have signed documentation within the next couple of weeks. We're working kind of on all fronts here at Town Hall. And as those come to play, we will be, I'll be working on a skeleton of an RFP for the commission to look at, discuss and finalize, which is why I'm suggesting that we hold a special meeting in between this meeting and our regularly scheduled meeting on March 6th, which will hopefully give us the opportunity at that point to have those signed easements in hand and start that RFP process. The urgency, as I've mentioned in the last, is that a lot of the funding that is tied to this potential project is American Rescue Plan Act funding, which does have to be allocated. It doesn't have to be spent, but it does have to be signed contract by the end of 2024 for us to make good use of that. So, assuming that we can get those signed documents at hand, we'll want to get an RFP. So assuming that we can get those signed documents at hand, we'll want to get an RFP out pretty quickly, so we can start that process. If for some reason, we aren't able to come to an agreement with those property owners. I'm already talking kind of internally with the town manager about an alternative project so that we will be using American Rescue Plan Act money on public art in some fashion, our form. So stay tuned a little bit more for that. And just to check in really quickly, we kind of went back and forth with each of you independently about dates for the special meeting is March 6th, the Minnable for everyone. Yes? Okay. I just wanted to confirm. So please mark your calendars and I'll make sure there's a calendar invite out for that. Does anyone have any questions about updates or anything that I may have missed? Town Council meeting I think has been moved to March 6th from March 5th. OK, maybe not March 6th then. March 5th. I think there's a primary on that Tuesday. Oh. Be all here in the council chamber, so we have to go to council. OK. The other alternative date that I had down, we're just going to do it now because we're here, was, it's on my phone, February. I was trying to give us a little bit more time. February is such a short month. February 21st. Does that work for everyone? Yeah, it was one of the dates. Our special meeting will be on February 21st. Is that okay? No, it was on the wrong line. You're good. Okay. Okay. Okay. Council chambers is available on February 21st. All right, so I will update my report to reflect that and get a calendar hold on everyone's calendars after this meeting is over. Any questions for me about anything? Okay. All right, Ms. Bax, it's all floor shores. Any questions for me about anything? Okay. All right, Ms. Bax, it's all floor shores. If there are no further questions, I call this meeting adjourned. Thank you.
