We're around four o'clock right now. We're going to go all the way to the order. Welcome everybody. I'm just calling the order. I'm looking for an adoption of the agenda. So much. I've got a motion in the second. I've got a motion second in this discussion. I'm going to have to follow a question. All my favorites should right hand. Or say aye. Aye. Good your right hand. Or say aye. Aye. Good. Thank you. Eric. Thank you. Next adoption of the minutes. I look for motion. I was a little bored regarding it up to the minutes. We'll be on top. Thank you. Thank you, Joseph. I got a motion to you. Second. Second. Got a motion to second. Any discussion? I'm going to call the question. All in favor say aye. Aye. Aye. Any opposed? Likewise. Okay. Minutes have been adopted. We're not public comments. No public comments. Awesome. Okay. All right. Here's the phone board. Okay, so I'm the my chair of the board. I was like, I have to serve the duty. I'm in my role as act right now. I just as interim chair, what we're talking about, it has been our chair is no longer with us. Because of that, we have a bank in C for the rest of this term, which is till Janaline, call for it. So it puts the board in this advantage, not having the dual chair vice chair set up, which is part of our file also. Right now the board members who are here can still not so that might be very in a position of the government of board chair. We need a little for a nomination and for someone to step going to serve that for sure. I think loud. David declines that right? So okay, we're. You're having fun on it. Yes, you did, but Davis sitting right here shaking his head. No. I've got a plate. He's playing full. So is there another member of the board that's willing to step up Leon to serve in board chair? Our Joseph or George Steele for July is January, February, March, six meetings. Joseph, I'd love to nominate you if you're willing. I'm very honored. I don't feel quite prepared to do that at this time. I don't know. Well, David's okay. Oh, Joseph, you willing to run a meeting? I'll be happy to serve you the device here while you're wingman. I'm gonna take that and I'll do the device here. I'm gonna get you a gift if you can. But, should we wait until Mrs. Theo... I guess we're a great time for questions. Mr. Kate, are you allowed to serve as board chair of DSS and chair of the Board of Commissioners. Specialist for coming into a vital season where we make the two boards may have a discussion regarding budgets and such. And I don't want to be able to use the power of the gal to this of one situation, brother. I think for transparency, and for the, and for our board, it'd be better if we have another member of service or board chair, because there may or may not be discussions that would happen. And it would put me in an awkward position during the time. I don't know how to explain it, but I think from our public perspective, to have one person chairing to to everybody at the same time. I have an interest. I heard it pointed. I think it's not an incredible experience with the NSF. Really those people in and out. Really big key. people in the now and really think he has the knowledge and expertise on doing to deliver the board chair. I don't think any way in a slice chair that's the middle of the board. There's a earnings, but the ability to do that. I've already been elected to serve board chair until good a lot. I'm vice chair, if you think so. Okay, I got you. to serve for charity of the line. I'm vice-chair human. So the vice-chair human. Vice-chair human. So we're looking for a chair person through to a lot. I'm a living person on the board. Thank you. I'd be more than willing to do it. Nobody's leaving. I'd be willing to serve as chair to the last. Thank you. I'm in front of the end, I'm going to introduce Chair of the board. So you got to say, I'm going to get a motion to say any discussion. I mean, you paint well to people, I should write it. Okay. Any further discussion? I'll call for your vote. On paper say aye. Aye. Me opposed. Okay. You are the chairman. Are you the chairman until the July? The last risk is firm. Mr. Chairman. And Liz, as chairman, you could direct me to finish the meeting. Mr. Vice-Chill, would you be so kind to me as a minister? I have to follow the will of the chair. Bob has done that. He's probably going to have him in his great touch. I'll come in. Next time, for sure. Thank you. On the, in the notes, the chairman asked me to chairman, and chairman can pass the gala when he's going to be advocating or she's going to be advocating for something in order not to sway the ball because the board chair has to be balanced. Thank sir, for that. Actually, thanks for the more important is as Dia says, we're training a discussion and I said right here, being in the Chairman, if I share a king and the director on, you want me to have that or? Yeah, you guys have it written already and we feel like it's special with a new board member coming on that it's a great idea and a great time to have training. If you'll just look at those four bullets and let you know if you have a data in mind. March 20th, April 17th, they're board dates, so you could actually show up. And I want to have part of the board meeting and get the training over with and still continue with the board meeting. What do you need to have an answer on this? She didn't say just whenever. Can we, when the war allowed us, if you guys don't really know if you're counting her now, because I know Miss Diel's not here to allow us to reply back by email. Please, kind of. Just quick question. Is it both dates on one? She can do either of these dates. And again, for the more meeting dates, and she said that since I get what the right idea. I'd like to make it known to the board on March the 20th. I'm subject for jury duty. OK. We'll mark that now. So, April the 17th, I know I'm good that the whole day. Well, let's go and put that up to 17th and then somebody is conflict and will. I want that. Okay. I want you to say that. I've seen consensus. We don't have to vote. Let's say, okay. Joseph, did you get that? You said. Yeah. Yeah, I'll get it. I do want to add time. We want to do it like five prior to the board meeting. So two o'clock or two thirty, she said an hour to an hour and half. Top. So we need to four, we'll be chambering. You know, probably two, three. Two, three. Okay. We need to reserve that room with County. Okay, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Go back to that more training. Who's over me? All of the board members and the director will be there. I'm going to recommend any staff that's available, so they'll understand what works. I'm the one who's going to have to attend the Ock end. Okay. Okay, what's good to end? Okay, we'll send something out. Just be fine, and sometimes it's a staff thing that wherever committee meeting was really important to me. There's a difference. So, I usually love Cation Deez. I'm going to be accounting on an administration office. No one has the addicts. Okay. Yes, that'd be great. Okay. Thank you. You're welcome. Our next item is the person known for, like I recognize, you recognize. You're welcome. Okay. Good afternoon, everyone. To begin, the first number 4, we'd like to introduce you to a group of people sitting behind us and say hello to them and I'm going to turn it over to the managers who direct them. Okay, on the end. Go ahead. Okay. On the end, we have anyone to use and if you want to send up, then tell me, Dr. Stephs and tell what department you're working in. Hey guys, so I'm Emily, and I'm working in the E&D food stamps office, just started last week. Not really much about myself, I'm married with three kids, and I like to go hiking in my free time. So that's what I did. And she started on the sixth day. I like to go hiking in my free time. So, this is the other. And she started on the 16th. 16th. Okay, yes. And this is Megan. I'm Megan. I'm in the Don't Medigame. I started last week and I just graduated with my BS in business. Thank you. What kind? So, on the children's health side, we have this legal recovery. and business at. Thank you. We'll have fun. One more. So on the children's arts and science, we have this legal inquiry. If you want to spend the news later, you should sit. Hi, everybody. I'm Wendy Lillian McCurley. I just started on the 17th and then the adoption unit. I just graduated from college to stay with my bachelor's and social work after I finished my internship with family resources. And I'm really excited to be here at the Environmental Community. Thank you. Thank you. Now we have Ms. Carly Klein, who is an adult services. Yeah. So I'm in an adult services. I just started on the 17th. I graduated from AppState in December. So. Welcome. Now this is the time that we'd like to ask you, you're welcome to stay in your as talk about DSS similar, or you can just accentate this time. It's totally up to you. Not to go right out of your way. It's up to me now. Nice to meet you. We appreciate it. All right, so you have a person that worked with us in front of you. Also, an attachment. Personnel with Port of you will just review that and see if you have any questions for us. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in the fridge. I'm going to put it in Well, it seems to be a correlation point on the cost-care doctrine between comp time and case limit numbers. It is. Thank you. Any questions? We are in this with the board. Which board? Any action? Thank you, Gary. Welcome. Board members and next item is a budget discussion like a recognized and broad. Okay. Next item is the discussion like a recognized and bright. Okay, everyone have your financial report. Candidate and so 31 to 23. This is for the six months ended. You'll see on page two, sort of a middle page, your contribution from General Fund for your administrative expenses, is at 35.29% we should be right at 50%. So we're 14.71% under budget for administrative expenses is at 35.29% we should be right at 50%. So we're 14.71% under budget for administrative expenses. Then I'll pay each four to top. So see your contribution for general fund for your program side is 61.39 or 11.39% over budget in our programs. Total budget on the very last page is at 45.39% which is 4.6 points under budget. So we're under budget for 4.5% for 6 points. So still under budget, even though admin and programs are over admin is under. So then the only line that is over this month that wasn't over in the prior months is on page five. Your professional service is imaging. Just a little over budget there. That's for our shredding and our imaging part where imaging records and shredding documents. We've been busy doing that. We're trying to get some old documents, shredded, you know, image, and shredded. And so we've got a contract worker doing some of that. So that's why that line is a little over. So we're trying to get some of those documents image and shred out of here. So sort of, I'm obviously picking work around. So other than that, everything else is the same as last month. No need to bond over that month. If I have any questions, I see anything that looks. I'll be right there. Let's see how it's going to get. Okay. That means parts. We're in the service. It's like working on a server. All right. You have the service report in front of you. If you just look and see how they have put a couple of notes there. What the director's. Director's notes., talking points. We do have three license saying poems that were pending, and you wanted you to know that. So probably by the next point, maybe we should be up to 26. And then of course, you'll see some larger medicated applications due to medicated expansion, and then Candy will talk about that on the problem updates. Any questions for the director of Congress? Thank you, Greg. From the updates, next. You're still on. So, thanks a So, um, things are going well. We are still working on our house on the property. But children services think that we're almost fully staffed and children services that's super exciting. Um, adult services, the MPT team for adult services who are really well and I'm excited about everyone coming together and just, um, just processing how we can assist our adults on the committee. Other than that, they're still vulnerable. Any questions? More members? Come on, so. Thank you, Ms. Dye. Ms. Grievous, the economic service. Just like Dave said, these families want to point out by our increase in our family children's applications taken notice of the service report. Last month, November, the two-year-old lab and you can see we have jumped to six and seventy-three. When we came back from Christmas, we had a huge influx of Medicaid application. So it's around 235 percent. Did everybody get time to read their Medicaid expansion report? Okay. So it's a huge job and we did expect an influx, but then we just didn't expect that much. So what we've had to do, we've had to shift, thank goodness the state has allowed us to extend our recertifications to our children's cases. So we've been able to move five or six staff to our applications and we're training them now. And you can see the population, Medicare receiving is not increased that much. That's because the main group that will affect that line apply it and be similar, and they won't be approved until January, so they'll show on your federal word report. So you'll see an increased measure. Right now, we have about 1,000 applications pending in our adult program and our family children's program. And reason why you see the jump in family children's because that's where the Medicaid expansion follows is on the family children's program. It doesn't fall when your adult Medicaid programs. There are some in plus as well, but you can see those numbers won't move in as much. But the team is very, very stressed. They don't pick it today. They don't pick it next week but you'll pick it next week. We have clean x's and I'm making a joke out of it. I've been here in 30 years. I can honestly say this is the most stressful time that I've ever seen at social services. It's just a different kind of stress. We just didn't have enough train nurse to train all the new staff that we have. So it's been very taxing on everyone. But it is, I can feel that start to settle a little bit. They have opened up the marketplace where they're going to start doing some automatic determinations from Medicaid applications at the marketplace that are being placed in February, which I'm really excited about. So hopefully that will decrease the number of applications that will be sent to the county. So other than that, you want to point out that our current MXP recipients, which is a Medicaid expansion, which is 2,313 as of 1,124. The number is higher than that, but the data is not available to you. Do you have any questions? Just to comment with all the stress and everything like that, and with these four new cars, it's good to see that we have very qualified employees who look at work, and thank y'all for taking care of the employees. It's all the fun fun I've been. Thank y'all for taking care of the importance of the product. Thank you. You may have a glimpse. Great. Now let's see if I have any questions. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. Just like for the board to know that we're in the second round of the Newfoundown, Grant, you see this before you. And the good thing about this grant is it really is working with Pesca as well as a tender family. But the good thing is they will control the money. They'll just give us the resources. I'm very excited about that. Also, just to let the board know, and Candy knows this, that Department of Health and Human Services launched a dashboard so that it might get really easy for Candy and myself to go in and to look at what's happening with Medicaid expansion. It will show all the characteristics of people who are applying. So that's great. One anyone to know that you've got a copy of the Child Fatality Report that is public. And it also accounts for a meeting under the Child Fatality Protection Team meeting. So copies were added on that. And that is public and it's also on the state website as well. But the only recommendation that we received was to really concentrate on safe sleep. So we are already doing that even before they release the report. We've been doing that, the campaign. Also, just to let everyone know. and I try to think, I think you have a copy of that as well. The Childhood Family Support Plan, and that's basically where they're revamping the Medicaid and how to take care of children who really help, and really medical, mental health assistance. That's why we had a lot of kids sleeping at the office because they were with patients because they have mental health issues. So that's happening. And I also added here what is supposed to do and what those goals are. So that's down there. And also just wanted you to know just how stressful this job is in child welfare. It's stressful on all pieces of it. Child welfare is just a different kind of stress because it gets the secondary or traumatic stress. And so because of that, the Department of Health and Human Services have released various trainings. And so with Rutherford County DSS, we mandate that all workers have take that class and do the trainings so that they can make sure that they're managing their stress so that we can keep them and that they can do this work and still know how to relax. And that's all I have. Any questions or comments from the board? Let me direct her. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you the board's attorney, the board members, director. I mean, we're gonna put a second. Seven, give a second. Second. Any discussion? Any other calls to question? I'll favor to say hi. Hi. You both have one. I'm gonna put a second. I'm gonna put a second.
