I don't want to be. That helps. Yeah, but you know, we're here. Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Rich H. Bain here tonight. I will call the Thursday June 25th special meeting of the Ashford City Council to order. And I hope everybody's doing well tonight. We have a very short agenda to basically adopt our budget for 2021 fiscal year. Councilor, you have in front of you a consent agenda. There are five items on that consent agenda or the items that you would like to remove for individual discussion or any comments on the consent agenda. We're hearing none. I will accept a motion if I have one to approve the consent agenda as you have it in front of you. Mayor, I moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. Thank you, Mr. Birx. We have a motion from Councilman Birx. Do I have a second? in front of you. Mayor, I move to approve the consent agenda as presented. Thank you, Mr. Birx. We have a motion from Councilman Birx. Do I have a second? Second? Second? Councilman Bail. Thank you. Any discussion? All in favor say aye. Aye. All opposed? Ms. Carter? Aye. Thank you. Motion carries. Item three is the final action on the proposed city of Asperger budget ordinance for fiscal year 2021. You have the budget ordinance in front of you. It's the appointee time for final action. Do you have any questions regarding the fiscal year 2021 budget as present? No questions? Sure. I had a question to be how the staff was able to do this so well and hold the line and this is, we've got some very, very competent people that have done a very good job. We certainly do. And nine months from now, we'll keep our fingers crossed and hope that we're as close on the money as we think we're going to be. So I will, if there are no questions, I'll entertain a motion to adopt the proposed budget for 2021. Mayor, I move the adoption of the budget the ordinance has presented. I have a motion by Councilman Bell. Do I have a second? Second. Second, Councilwoman Redding. Any discussion? All in favor say aye. Aye. All opposed. Ms. Carter. Thank you. Motion carries. So I guess announcement city offices are closed on Friday the third for the holiday. Watch your email for your agenda for the meeting, regular meeting on the ninth. And we are expecting to schedule a joint meeting with the Randolph County Commission is on Wednesday the 15th at 6 o'clock. And our public works conference room with the subject being Randolph Hill. So you want to email for that notice. What time of the end was that day? At this point it appears to be six o'clock. Okay. Some of that is subject change until we send out the official notice, but that's what we're working toward. I'll be at the EMS Center again. Now it'll be at our Public Works. Public Works. Conference room. City Public Works Conference room. EMS Center with the EOC from COVID, so I think the hands go down there. I hope everybody has a good foretell. Sorry, it's going to be a quiet foretell. As many of you have gathered from the media and the outpouring of citizens on Facebook, we've canceled our firework show, which is not a popular thing. But it's necessary in this climate we're living in right now with the COVID-19. And you may have noticed, don't even use Texas and Arizona have canceled elective surgeries. They are going back to something that was early, one of the early stage remedies. So just hoping we don't do that here. The hospital needs to be doing elective surgeries. Fortunately, our hospital is not in meaning COVID-19 patients, so technically a clean hospital in that respect. Any comments? Uh, with snugs? No. If I were to enjoy a nice forth, you could go and tell him, traveling. Is that a self-serving wish that you're not cast? You know our well I got to have this surgery. I'm thinking I'm figuring out how I can get it classified as essential surgery because I'm at the point where I cannot walk. Do you need a motion on that? Yeah. Can you prepare that in the essentials on? No, we can get our authority. I may have to. I think you have to vote, man. We can try. Mr. Sawyer, everything's good. Mr. Sawyer, stay safe. Stay safe. Staff, anybody? Richard, appreciate you being here tonight. Sir, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
