Let's go. I don't know if you want to take this Gary Duncan just texted me and he has a question still texting me about Marywood. What about Marywood? What's the status? There. There is not right. I said that. I said, Marywood owns it, Urban pulled out to try to sell it. Is it, are they officially, is there official official? Oh, they're gone. The only thing that, the only thing I saw was the paper. I don't think they ever notified Joe. What, what was in the, I missed that. What was in the paper? That they're officially done. Ah, that's awesome. Yeah, so it's back on back for sale. Yeah. So, you know, he would say we wanted on the tax rolls and I said, so do we. There's nothing we can do about that, unfortunately. Unfortunately. When was that in the paper? Week two ago. I missed that. I'm looking for it now. Yeah, me too. Can you hear my work with the room? Okay, we're going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the next room. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'm going to go to I have a membership to this grant times archive thing. I'm going to see if I can find out exactly when it was. Okay. Let's share. I believe it was February 25th. Okay. Well, I don't know if that was it. I'm looking out. What is this? I'm going to use the on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on the table. I'm going to put it on I know I saw it. Yeah, I don't know why I saw it because Gary saw it too, so I know that I had to be seeing it. Trying to think what else I could put in here, Lance Robbins. Yeah. I'm going to go to the next page. Maybe I'm trying to think project. Yeah, I'm wrong. I guess was I'll just follow up. Do you still talk to yourself of that connection? The connection I had doesn't she doesn't work that anymore. She went back to school for dinner. But I do I can I can't work there anymore. She went back to school for good or not. But I can reach out though. There's other people in that company. I'll reach out this week. Put that away. To the list. So then I guess if you want to just say that, you know, there's some questions regarding Mary Wood. We don't have an official answer, we'll reach out. Okay. You hear anything about graduation for your kid? I think Ray said, and they're supposed to at least the word is in July, they're going to have something at the stadium again, nothing's official. I heard no, remember our Thanksgiving. So I, that's what I heard. I don't know. I don't know. That's a good question for the school board, actually. You know, we should reach out to them. Frankie's supposed to take SATs. I don't even know about that. Right. What I think these colleges are gonna do, they're gonna know a choice. They're just gonna start taking applicants. Yeah. How they gonna go by anything? My girls both took their AP government test today. How they gonna do it? I don't know. Grace said she did well. Olivia's not sure. They should have taken it together. They asked different questions. They did take it to go. They're going to drink. Excuse me. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.. I know you don't have to worry about that. But you can go right now. But I'm going to go back in. You're right. You can't go back in. You can't go back in. You can't go back in. You can't go back in. You can't go back in. You can't go back in. You can't go back in. You can't go back in. Okay. the case. So the commissioner is supposed to be viewing tonight, huh? He commissioner Tremont called and asked me for the information. He actually, that's the second time he called it asked if we were doing okay. If we needed anything. I Hi, Janet. Hey. Hey, John. What do you have for a day out there, huh? Yeah. Yeah. We can spot the two nights at all. Oh, good. I have to have spring sometime. Yeah. I'm channeling Andy Warhol here. My brother Billy did that he gave himself like a buzz cut. He recognized him. He took a big divot out of the back. Very nice. I don't see Beth. I see her window. I don't see her. And you're muted just so you know. Can you unmute a back? I'm trying to get Carol on. We can see her in here, but we can't see her. I don't know why we can't see. The video. Can you hear me? I see the Beth is muted. Yes, she got off and maybe she muted it. I'm trying to get Carol on. We can see her in here, but we can't see her. I don't know why we can't see. The video. I'm sorry. I think I got it. Sorry about that. You got it now? Yeah, thank you. You're welcome. And hopefully no bears tonight. I look like a big bear. It was actually not like a full grown. It was smaller. Really? Yeah but still they're kind of kind of awesome. Oh yeah they're cool. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to put it on. I'm going to go to the office. Videos anyone on with us? Hi, everyone. Hello. Yes. I believe we're only waiting for Michael. But nobody public is on with this? Yeah, there's a 10 design. Okay. One more minute. Well, that's right. Just need Mr. Enoch. Peter, could you hear me? No, I can't. I unmuted you. Well, I said happy birthday, Beth. Oh, happy birthday, Beth unmuted you. Oh, well I said happy birthday Beth. Oh happy birthday Beth. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Quite... Make your unmuted as well. It's seven. Should I, should we get started or is Tommy coming? I haven't spoken to him. Let me give my call real quick. Thank you, see you. Does anybody see me or hear me? I hear you, I hear you. There he is. If you let's away, if you can't see me. We'll work better in the dark. Okay, guys, we'll get started. Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I'm always very happy to be in justice for all. Mr. Miko, here. Mrs. McDonald's and Gardi. Who's last year? Mrs. Fahar. Here. Mrs. Kumali. Here? Mr. Dempsey. Here. Mr. Hallon and here. Mr. Rina. Here for howling in here for you know there mayor Burke yeah Dempsey there is no Comments on agenda items moving to number four emotion to approve the minutes Look for a motion I make a motion. Motion to every second. I'll second it. A motion in the second. Anyone on the question. All those in favor say the five by saying aye. Aye. Anyone opposed? I'm not standing. I wasn't at the last meeting. Thank you, Mr. Reenat. The act of it and so moved. I'm not standing. I wasn't at the last meeting. Thank you, Mr. Reenah. The I have it and so moved. Number five is emotion to approve and pay the open bills. We'll look for motion. I'll make that motion, Mr. President. Do I have a second? A second. Okay, I have a motion and a second anyone on the question. All those in favor say goodbye by saying aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed. The eyes have it and so moved. Number six is a motion to approve resolution 2020-1, waving the late penalty fee on real estate tax for the fiscal year 2020 following La Cajunac County. Vito, do you want to read that into the record? It's ready, Perry. Yes. the next one. I'm going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be going to be for fiscal year 2020, borough of Dunmore real estate tax. Whereas the borough of Dunmore imposes an annual tax on assessed value of real property located within the borough, and whereas the face value period for said, real property tax is set to expire on May 31st, 2020, at which time a 10% penalty is imposed. And whereas the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is operating under a state of emergency declared by the governor on March 6, 2020, and the Dunmore-Burrow Council declared a disaster emergency. And the borough of Dun more on March 16th, 2020, resulting from the continuing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. And whereas the Pennsylvania State legislature passed Act 15 of 2020, which was signed into law by the governor on April 20th, 2020, allowing political subdivisions of the Commonwealth to waive any theore penalty associated with the late payment of said property tax if paid in full by December 31, 2020. And whereas the Dunmore-Burrow Council believes it is in the best interest of the residents of the borough of Dunmore to waive the late penalty on taxes imposed on the assess value of real estate for the 2020 fiscal year. Now therefore, Dunmore borough council does hereby resolve the following. the 10% penalty for taxes imposed on the assessed value of real property located in the borough of Dunmore is hereby waived if taxes are paid in full by December 31st 2020. Okay. I will look for a motion. I'll make that motion, Mr. President. I'll take that. I'll do that. A motion in a second. Does anyone have anything on the question? On the question, Michael, I spoke to a tax collector, Lupe Chaudy, and Louis was an agreement. Obviously, it's council's wish, whether to wave this fee. And we followed the county leadership of the materianti, Dominic and Chermac and think it's in the best interest of the residents and done more to try and get through these tough times and help them out in any way possible that we can. And I think this is just something minor we could do to help them and hope we get through this pandemic as soon as possible. Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you. Anyone else on the question? Okay, all those in favor, saying if I buy saying aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed? The eyes haven having some move. Number seven is personnel matters. I think the only personnel matter that we have tonight is we received four applications for the summer grass cutters. Every year we hire a few high school kids to go around to burrow properties and also abandon and condemn properties Vito do you have the list of the four names? I don't have it in front of me It's Steven Borja Thomas Lewis Austin Waters and Alex Sandal Okay, so we have a list of four names Yes Okay Okay, so we have a list of four names. Yes. Okay. Would anyone like to make the motion to appoint those four young men to the summer grass cutting? Oh, Michael. Michael. Do I have a second? I'll second that. I have a motion and a second. On the question, we are going to have these four boys. Obviously going around and cutting grass and doing trim and cleaning up properties and things of that nature. They will abide by social distancing. We have masks. We have gloves. We have shields. You know, whatever hand sanitizer, whatever, whatever they need, they will be provided with. So I just wanted to make that clear to everybody. Anyone else on the question? Michael, how many days a week and what are we paying them for how long? It's usually, it's five days a week, it's about four to five hours a day and I think it's about $11 an hour. And it goes from, it'll start immediately, it'll start middle of May, June, July, and I believe August and then I think they're done in September. If I veto, is that right? Correct. How many abandoned properties do I more have? That's a question for property. I'm going to have. That's a question for Joe. I don't know off the top of my head. Do you have any idea? I don't have that number on the top of my head. There's quite a bit. They do all the they do all the borough on properties. They do the bait. They clean the basins off. They do the right of ways. Any complaints that we get from neighborhood watchers. Right. The watch always seems to come in with a few every meeting that they have if they're still having their meetings. But we're excuse me, Tom, we're not having the meetings anymore. So that's right. I said, I didn't know if they were having right. Yeah. But I'm sure Gary will be getting the complaints via telephone and he'll forward them to Mr. Lawrence. I'm sure. Anyone else on the question? All those in favor signify by saying aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed? Opposed. Okay. Motion carries. Six one. Number eight is public comment. Public comment we did receive just I believe three questions. And I will go through them and again, anything I miss, you know, I'm going to read the questions., I'm gonna answer them the best I can. And then obviously during public official comment, if anybody has anything in addition to what I've already said or disrees, just let us know at that time. The first question was from Sharon Kuff and just hang out one second while they bring it up. Sharon Kough, Scranton, Council Plants to submit a letter opposing the proposed expansion of Keystone landfill as part of the public comment process of DEP's current technical review phase. They also plan to submit a letter to the PUC opposing the rate hike sought by P.A. American Water will do more council do be doing the same. To answer that question, it's not on the agenda for tonight. I certainly don't see a problem in sending one. I think it would need to come to a vote, and whether that needs to be on the agenda item item or I could leave it up to a council member during their public comments to make that motion to send if the motion pass we can draft the appropriate letter and send it. leave that either until next meeting, in which I think is June, June 8th, and I don't think the public period ends until June 30th, or the common period, I don't think that ends until June 30th. So the next meeting would be before that, or I could leave it up to a council member, if they feel comfortable and want to make a motion during their public official comment. The next question I have is for Gary Duncan and Gary wanted an update on Marywood. I'm assuming the project at Urban Smart Growth was going to revitalize it. I haven't had any direct contact with urban smart growth, but it's my understanding that they pulled out and they're no longer in They're no longer interested in pursuing that and I believe Marywood is trying to send it I'll try to get a more concrete answer from Joe, but I think that's just what I read in the newspaper And then the last question We received is from Taylor Perry. And I'm going to do my best with this one. It's a very well-written letter. That's a little bit lengthy. So I'm going to try to get the bullet points from it. And if I miss anything that's important to Miss Perry, I apologize. And you know, we can rectify it next meeting or we can even post your entire question on our website and answer it that way. She states that she's writing to express her concerns of illegal use of ATVs, eStrinker Street. EStrinker Street, specifically from 81 bridge up to the old drinker turn bike and the fake key issues the riders pose. issues the riders pose. She lives up there the ATV riders are speeding up drinker street and causing all sorts of issues not slowing down you know throwing middle fingers acting reckless disregard for safety. And again, I'm paraphrasing this letter. It's a lot more well written than 10-9 minutes, believe me. And I believe towards the end of her letter, she wanted counsel to address it. The police have been there numerous times. There's young children that play up there. There was an incident last weekend with ATVs at at her parents house and the rider called the police to complain and the road was blocked. The police arrived and let him pass without citation and basically you know it goes on to complain about the ATV riders and every year we we have this complaint. I think it's even more prevalent this year because of the stay at home and there's not a lot of activities that people can participate in and their ATVs are everywhere. And I know the police are trying to do their best and I know they've cited a lot of people recently and they've towed some ATVs and they're trying to do their best. And I know Mayor Burke, if you want to address this one at this point, I know you are there and I know you've been on top of the ATVs. I know the police are doing whatever they can. And I'm just going to let you address it a little bit, Mayor Burke. And then I know she had some solutions that I'd like to read into the record.T.V. situation. The police handled it safe. Good at night. With the A.T.V. Vibers. Up to the right now. They didn't want anything to happen with the problem both sides. They just wanted to fuse the problem there. But AV drivers are illegal as we all know. And the police will be stopping them. And if they're on our streets, they will be sold. And then the people will have to pay the telling company. And they're going to have to pay the fines that go with it. And this is just for the safety of our people and the rods. I have nothing against it. I know there are a lot of fun. Not on our dumber streets. We don't want another accident like last year. I don't want to tell one of my police officers that they're going to be the ones to go to visit that mom or dad at their house and tell them the bad news. But our police are here to protect the streets of Dunmore and as far as the ATV the writers you know They could use their trucks They could use a trailer If they're doing things legal and they're not driving on our streets. I'm fine with that. Just I'm sure his counsel's fine with that They're going to be acting on it to try to protect our streets because we're getting, you know, the last, I don't know how many years now, we've been getting more and more calls about it. People are worried about walking their children, the noise, all hours at a night. And I know people like, I'll tell you, they're gonna drive slow, but for everyone to tell you they drive slow, I mean, I've witnessed many of myself that don't drive slow. And it's illegal to be on the streets period. We didn't make the law, the state made the law. And we're here to protect the streets of Dunmore. And so that's all I can tell you right now, Mike, that I'm going to be the same as council. I'm going to be our police to do their job to anybody breaking the law, you know, they have to suffer the consequences of that. And that's just to keep our streets safe. To me, didn't you say that another municipality was a tailor passed a resolution that if they wanted to gas up, they'd have to gas up like from their trailers or something that they couldn't like pull into a gas station to gas up. Right, they'd have to be on a trailer truck. A trailer truck? Do you think that would alleviate some of the issue? Well, I don't think the rubbery... I believe it... Well, I think it would make it harder for ATVs. So, wait, no, they just drive in and get gas. Right. So, they're driving on the streets inherently then. Exactly. Unless they do they drive in with trailers, they may see that. Well, there's times that people do do it legally, go in with trailers. Yeah. Okay. But a lot of them don't want to want to loss them. Most of them don't. Yes. So so maybe if we pass that resolution in the in the gas stations couldn't fill them up if they weren't in the trailer. Well, I'm up for anything the council wants to do to help the police department out on this. Obviously, with the people coming in from New York, I'm jersey now'll find out there's a lot of ordered area here. It seems to increase. Yeah, I don't know if we I don't know if we want to tell a business owner or have the business owner to one of his clerks behind a window that don't gas up that ATV because it's illegal. I mean, it's going to get into a big feud between the customer and the person behind there. Yeah, but tell me that they can't't get. I'm not against the. I can't feel like gas containers because that's illegal. I mean, you know, already, you know, if you're a gas station, you have certain response responsibilities to the public. Yeah. I just don't I just don't I can see it turning into I'm not against it. Trust me. I want them off the road. But I'm just saying, legally, I don't know if we We can do that. I know that they're doing it in another municipality. Is it Taylor? Taylor. Do you think we even ask them how that's going down there? You talked about it. Mickey, we did last year. My eye interrupt for me. And if Mickey, could you just check into that then and let us know? I mean, I think we got, we ran this same question last year, I think. And I don't know whether we got good advice, bad advice, or whatever. But Mickey, could you check into this and give us some opinion on the Taylor's ordinance and also whether it's legal or not, what we do. It is really, it's horrible. The ATVs are, I mean, I hate to say there's good guys out there that are baying the law stopping and there's other kids that Traveling packs of you know, maybe kids or adults packs of 20 and just below right down Chester Street And we don't care about you at all, you know and they scare the hell out of you know older people So I've missed a good check into that please. Yeah, sure. I'll check with with Taylor and see what their audience says and see what their audience says. And see what our have. Is it a little prosecuted? It's music held up in the court music. It's music. Yeah, man. It's music. And I think last time we checked, they had one arrest or one warning they gave out last year when we did this. Okay. I'll check with them tomorrow. All right. Thanks, Max. You're welcome. Anybody else on the ATVs? If you wanted, I was going to wait till a public comment. Or on, let me ask you then, Mickey, as they're coming in, Mayor Burke, do you know if they're coming from lost trails over to gas? Is it done more residents that are going to gas? And then you said that they're heading up to the old drinker term pike, which that road is impassable. And I was wondering, just for to protect the burrow, are we liable if somebody going down a road that we know is impassable is dangerous and we know they're going down there and have no no precautions in place to stop them from trespassing on that road. Yeah, we would be how that's that's one of the exception to governmental unity. If if we know of a dangerous condition on a roadway within the burrow and we don't take steps to either correct it or close off the road then we could be responsible for it. What about the property owners? People have property back there. I guess I have no idea. I'm telling you I don't even remember the last time I was down that road. I have no idea. Are there houses on it? I have no idea. Oh yeah, there is. And I do have property owners down there. There are many. I think there's property owners. I don't think there's homeowners. How about this again, Mickey? Could you or Vito? Could you have Dave LaPaca look at that road with Jola Rennes? Kind of come up with some kind of judgment for us whether it's Impossible dangerous whether some kind of make they make some kind of ruling on this because I know you feel a little Teach trucks go down their time Utility trucks like Pennsylvania American water company electric company. So they are driving on those roads Okay, well, and so when you say a Possible I don't know what you mean by that Well, that's what I want to know, I don't know what to mean by that. Well, that's what I want to know because I don't know anybody that goes back there. I said, I haven't seen the condition of the road. All I'm looking out for Carol's the burrow. If they go back there, maybe we give them some kind of key to get in or get out, but to let, you know, if again, somebody goes there on an ATV from saying New Jersey, New York, done more anybody, any citizen, and they get hurt back there. What falls on the borough? I don't want to be put in a seat now. I think there's a few areas to get up. I think when you're saying passable, no, I think there are areas on that road that could be filled in with rock to make it better. But I think when you say impassable, I don't think that's correct. Well, again, let's leave that up to the professionals, let them look at it and let them team their decision because I don't think me or you are qualified to make that right statement. And if it's possible, so be it, if it's not, we'll do what we have to do to protect the barrel. We don't look like that. I believe there's a trail that's going to be put in down there. Walking trail. It's going to I believe go right to the 100 foot bridge the old Trisco. That's a nice. Yeah. Is that a county plan? I believe it's funded through the state and the county. I'm not sure if, yeah. I don't really think that's going to go. It's beautiful back there. Yeah, it's just like that. Yeah, it's beautiful. I've hiked back there. It's nice. Yeah. All right. I was there already. I was there with Dan LaPoc and Joel Rents. I went all the way down to almost where the why not is. Dan LaPock is writing a recommendation. It is bad. You have to, you can't pay it. It can't be done like that because of stormwater runoff. So Dave is going to get us a report back on it and make a recommendation. I was there four days ago. When it first happened. And would that be the lack one here? Just trail that's putting in that walking trail, Carol? Yeah. We'll check with them veto and see if we're impeding on anything with them or if they're you know if that's the route they're going. Okay. Thanks. That would be nice. Yeah. I guess. I feel like we said. Check it out. Thanks, Peter. Yeah. Okay. Anybody else on the ATVs? Mrs. Perry, I hope we answered your question. If you, if we didn't, you know, please send us another email or call the Burrow Building and all of our emails are on the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the website. On the if they don't have registrations, they should be fine for that. They have to have insurance, registration. They should have a license on the back of the license plate found the back of the ATV. And helmets also was another solution where they're not wearing helmets. And if they're cited, they should be obviously cited for that as well. Right, but even if it's state law, Mike, this is the whole state, this is not our, this is a state law. The problem is you can't chase them. So I mean, if nobody has a registration, you can't chase them. So it's your stuck. Where our hands are, where stuck? We have nothing, no recourse because we can't chase them. Please can't chase them. So we have to do something other than the norm, like block the road or put no trespass signs up or trespasses will be prosecuted. But you know, well, wait and see. I think Vito is on it. So you want to, I mean, we're working on it? All right, anybody has anything else? There's no more public comment. So public officials, and I know we have Commissioner Chris Schurmeck joining us. So I know you want to do a dress council. So Vito, if you could let him in. He's coming in right now. I'm sure you're welcome. I lost you there for a second. You want me to have something to say? Absolutely. Well, all right. Thank you. Yeah, this is crazy times to these zoom meetings and everything that we've been doing. Absolutely. Two years. Well, well, all right. Thank you. Yeah, this is crazy times. Do these zoom meetings and everything that we've been having to do. It's just, I don't know. Just, uh, just starting to get used to it. But, um, I'm glad to see that you took care of the, the property tax penalty waiver. That was, you know, something we did. Just, you know, every little bit helped. So that was good there. You know everything that I want to mention is, we had a tremendous loss over the weekend at the county, Kevin Shawna C, our director of buildings and grounds passed away. He will be missed. And our hearts got to his family. It was just a very shocking thing. So, mother the nan, unless you guys, anybody have a question for me that I could try to answer for you, I'd be happy to do that. Chris, I had a question. This is Janne Breyer. Hi, thanks so much for joining us tonight. This is great. I was wondering, would it be possible for us to maybe appoint one of our council people to speak to you kind of on a on a biweekly basis perhaps to my my concern now of course is our finances with you know we're sort of on shaky ground even without the coronavirus and Congress has not passed anything specifically for municipalities. And I was just hoping that we could work with the county and in other little towns in our county to maybe lobby Congress. To do, there was supposed to be $150 billion bill passed specifically for state and local municipalities. And that didn't happen. We're going to need relief this year as everyone is. So I just saw maybe a few, if you had some, just some task force or something like that that one of us could join and kind of keep in touch with the county. Absolutely. Well, first of all, Vito has my phone number right to my cell phone. You guys can call anytime for any questions as far as, you know, and you can touch base with me anytime. I'll be happy to talk. You know, something that we are working on and that was Senator Blake's and started the regional task force, which he asked me to be on that with him. And that's one of the things that we're looking at. There is money coming in to the state. Actually, I think I think Governor Wolfe has a little over $3 billion that he's sitting on. And once we get our hands out, that's how we're going to give it out to the different municipalities. I mean, we're on top of that. So we're waiting to see how they're going to disperse these funds. How do you keep in touch with the state? How do you keep in touch with the Wolf administration on this? Well, you can't keep in touch with him, but we keep in touch. I talked with John Blake, Senator Casey's talks to us quite often. So I talked to John once or twice a week. So we're all communicating. Bridget and Mike. Kind of in the dark. So if there was some mechanism for us to keep up on, what's going on, state locally, that would probably be super helpful. As soon as I get some information, I can pass out. I'll certainly get it out to you. But we are working on that. Are you anticipating? Yeah, pardon me.? Would you anticipate, like how would that $3 billion be? Well, I don't know what, I don't know how they're going to disperse these funds, but you know, County as well as, you know, we're going to be, I'm concerned about our funds as well. So, you know, but I'm on top of it and I've been like I said we're at these meetings and these phone conferences once or twice or more than twice a week and As soon as I get that information and it'll be coming out because that relief is out there So, you know, I just don't know how much and I don't know when so I don't know where the money's coming from. Right, right. I'm hoping there's some federal action with regard to municipalities. Well, there's again, you know, as you know, we're still paying, you know, our municipal employees, our first responders, we need to maintain those folks and it's expensive. Yep. Oh, I'm, believe me, I'm right there with you, but that's what, you know, that's one thing I've been paying attention to at these meetings and, you know, and that question has been asked many, many times. So as soon as I get some information, I'll let go pass it on. Thank you. I mean, you know know we're going to have wage tax issues because people aren't earning a wage unfortunately so. Oh yeah. Oh, I believe me. That's my the biggest concern I have right now is cashflow for everyone so not good times. Thanks so much again for joining us. We really, really appreciate it. You're welcome. And I said my phone is on all the time. Anytime you need me, just give me a call. Thank you. Thanks, Chris. Yep. You're welcome. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. Thank you, Commissioner Schirmack. Nobody has anything else for Commissioner. I will go to Mayor Burke. Okay. As far as I know Janet was going to bring up. We were talking about Mike about the letter to DEP and letter to the PUC. We're doing that tonight. I'm all in on that. It's not even my separate emails, but I definitely don't see any reason for a 42 year ban check. And the price of my store and my water going up, I'm sure you all see it in a paper. That's outrageous. I'm sure you all seen in a paper. That's outrageous. One two years expansion. I think it's not. But I'm not. I'm not sure if council is not for. I mean, obviously, I'll send my own in. But that's all I have. Thank you. Thank you, Mayor Burke. Vito, do you have anything? No, just Mr. Duncan wanted me to make everyone aware that the Dhammour neighborhood watch is still acted without their meetings. And he texted me that people text him and he notifies the appropriate people. So he just wanted me to relay that to you. Thank you. Solicit her parry. Do you have anything for us tonight? I have nothing. Mr. President. Thank you. Uh, Mr. Mr. Miko. I do, Michael. I have two things, please. Sure. I'm sharing cups lighter. I'd like to make a motion that we send a letter to DEP, uh, opposing the expansion of Keystone Senator. I'm assuming this would have to be a separate motion, but I also believe we should make a motion to oppose the rate hike by the American water. Okay, you want to do it. We'll do the first. We'll do a landfill one first and then do the vote on that and then circle back and do the PUC. Sure. Okay. Mr. Miko made a motion to send a letter to the D.B. from Denmark Council, causing the landfill. Do I have a motion? Do I have a second? I'll second. I have a motion and a second. Vito, do you want to do a roll call? Sure. Anyone on the question first? Go ahead, V. Mr. Remiko. Yes. Mrs. McDonald's and the yes. Yes. Yes. Is that see. Yes. Serena. Yes. Mr. Mollie. Yes. Mr. Halman. Yes. Yes. Mr. Hallman. Yes. Motion passes. Vince your second motion. My second motion is that we also send a letter to the all PUC Polk utility commission opposing the rate height shot shot by a Pennsylvania American water. I have a motion do I have a second. I have a motion and a second anyone on the question. We don't know the roll call. Mr. Meekle. Yes. It's the McDonald's and Guardian. Yes. This isiko. Yes. Mr. McDonald's and Guardian. Yes. Mrs. Berrire. Yes. Serena. Yes. Mr. Dempsey. Yep. Mrs. Cromald. Yes. Mr. Meiko. Mr. Hell and I apologize. Yes. I'll vote twice to get it lowered. Ha ha. Ha ha. Ha ha. Ha I'm going to be a little bit forward. That up, boy, Tom. All right, Mr. Miko, anything else? That's all. Thank you. Thank you very much, Michael. Yes, sir. Mrs. Engarty. Yes, I have a few things. I voted against the hiring of part-time maintenance maintenance to work this summer because I feel with the financial crisis done more is in. We should, if we can hire police officers, we should not be hiring part time students to back up the maintenance minute. It was nothing personal. I just feel it was physically and financially responsible to hold hiring straight across the board until we get our financial situation a little bit more under control so if I offended anybody I'm sorry but I have to vote with I believe we need to get our finances in order before we do any hiring period, part time or full time. So if I offended anybody, I apologize. And the second thing I have is Forest Hill Cemetery. This Saturday, May 16th posted on, you are from Dunmore, if you are from Dunmore. They're, we're trying to organize a cleanup committee. Norma is the caretaker down there, and she's elderly. So it got the best of her or her had of her. So there's a group of people in Dunmore who are going to be down there cleaning up. And I will be one of the crazy people, nine o'clock in the morning. I'm gonna be there if anybody in the community is interested in helping out. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, I'm on mute. Sorry about that. I was on mute. Mr. Reena. I'm sorry about that. I was on mute. Mr. Reena. I just want to go back to that. The Marywood project. The handful of residents in Scranton opposed it. They went to the planning or zoning in Scranton and made their appeal in the zoning or planning voted it down in the man backed out. It years down the road when that building is falling down and it's overgrown and they're calling Dunmore because most of the properties and Dunmore to maintain it. It's just not right. I'm very upset over it. We lost a lot of money in permits, wage tax fees. Every time something comes in, everybody fights about it. That's why we have no new construction coming in. I just thought it was a bad thing. I just went to it and I'm done. Great with you, 1000%. Mrs. Cromali. Okay, well, we had an email from Mrs. Calciano. Michael, did you see that email? I apologize, I didn't. Okay, she had asked some questions. I think that were addressed it's regarding the ATVs, but one of the questions that she asked was, why the tow trucks are being called to take the kids' pods and motorcycles when parents are right there on the scene when the police stop them? Can we address this? Can the parents, she wants to know if the parents are able to take the ATVs and put them on their own trucks to take them away? That would be, hold on, I want to make sure I'm not... I think that would be an issue for the chief to just figure out, so I would address that with him, but if there's a trailer there and the parents want to take the quad, I don't see an issue with that if there's a trailer. I think they were towing them because they didn't have a trailer and the only way to get them back out to where they needed to be was to again drive them on the road and that's why they were toad. I don't know that to be a fact. I'm just assuming that but you know we could follow up with chief Marques and address that with him. Okay there's a couple other questions that she had but I think they were answered prior. She also wanted to know if there was an alternative way to get to the I believe there's eight forest lands that the quads ride on. She wants to know other than the top of drinker street here, is there any other way to get to those areas where they can ride their quads? And I didn't have an answer for her. Other than the war horse that has the trail, I don't know how else you would get into the woods without utilizing the streets. Yeah, I didn't know if the answer to that either. I would just think that if there's any other questions on the ATV matter, I think people should feel free to contact the burrow, either, you know, chief Marques or any one of us, myself, I can give my phone number 570-347- 4410 and I would encourage people to give us a call and talk with us directly because it is confusing and it is you know people do have their quads and they do want to use them so they just need to follow the rules and hopefully things will get better people will be respectful of other people young people respecting the older people this will get better people will be respectful of other people, young people, respecting the older people, and so on and so forth. And that's all I have tonight. Thank you. Thank you, Mr. Marley. Mr. Allen. I don't know. The ATVs, it's such a conundrum. I mean, yes, they're breaking the rules. I see or heard, I should say, like a couple of kids that have stopped and listened to the police and they got fined. And yet the kids that run away are getting away with everything and what we're teaching them is run. Don't stop because you get fined. I mean, I don't I'm what I don't want to see them on the streets. Let me prep for what I'm saying. I, they're out of control, but you're punishing kids that are doing wrong. Then they're doing right by listening to the cop and then they get fined. I wish there's, this is such a, I don't have the answer, but I just wish somehow, some way we could come up with something because something has to be done It's dangerous out there somebody's gonna get hurt eventually and I pray that we could figure it out somehow some way or Before somebody gets hurt because it's it's really is out of control and I Know I'm babbling right now, but that's it's really I wish I had an answer and it's it's a conundrum so thank you for your time I appreciate it that's all I have Mr. Densy thank you sir um Mrs. Breyer oh yeah hi I just had one more question for Commissioner Sherman do you plan to question for Commissioner Sherman. Do you plan to address the KSL issue on the county level? We're in the comment period now for the technical piece of the application for KSL to expand for four years and 180 billion kinds of garbage. Do you have any plans to do that as a county officials to voice your opinion on that? No, not really. You know, that's not our jurisdiction. That's yours. No, it's not granted either. But what it does affect the whole county is actually the whole region. Yeah, no, I just lost you there for a second. Oh, yeah, no, I was just going to say it's not a scrantins jurisdiction either, but they've written a letter because it does affect the entire region. Yeah, I have not. I have not discussed with anyone. So at this point, no, I don't have anything. Okay, well, we're just, you know, requesting maybe you guys look into that. We can send you the letter that we received from Dunmore with that or from the DEP. You don't work. You can set over to our office. Sure. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. Thanks. I just had another issue. I wanted to point out that we did have the treasures report included in this Zoom meeting year to date. I was going to share my screen if that's okay Mike. Sure. Okay. Can you see my screen now? No. Okay. Hang on one second. How about now? Just you. Just you. All right. I'm sorry, I apologize. Well, let me just talk about them for a minute. You know, the good news is that we have a net income revenue over expenses for the first three months of the year. Hang on a second. $1,090,000. The bad news is, at this time last year, we had a surplus of $1,609,286. So from year over year, it's $519 less than where we were at this time last year. I just wanted to make people aware of that. Again, I think it's all part of our situation that we're in with that everyone's in actually with the coronavirus. But I wanted to make people aware that this report was on the meeting and that's, I hope, can take a peek at it if they want. That's all I have. Thank you, Mr. Brarr. I guess did I miss anybody? No, Mike, I got something else to. Sure, Tim. On the ATVs, if anybody's looking for any information on itself has it on the Domar Police webpage on all the legalities of driving the TVs, it's on the Domar Police webpage. Thank you. Mike, but I have one more thing too. I forgot to say, I did center to these office today and left a message as a dumb or councilman asking if they were going to do any kind of or other council people to please call our senators office and even our I'm sure John Belay is listening in with the county commissioners but I called the US senators. I will call Casey tomorrow and leave a message there I'm sure that they're you know Not taking phone calls because I went right to voicemail with to me's office Thank you, okay Thank you. Okay. Thank you. I'm sorry. The only thing I have is we're going back to our summer schedule this month, which is would be one meeting per month instead of two. That would be the next meeting then would be June. June 8th, second Monday of every month for May, June, July, and August. And then we'll be back to to likely in September. If there's anything that we need a second meeting for, we'll obviously advertise it and get it out as quickly as possible to the public. But I don't have anything else as long as everybody else is good. I'll look for a motion to adjourn. I'll make a motion. Do I have a second? I'll look for a motion to adjourn. I'll make a motion. Do I have a second? Second. A motion and a second. Anyone? Uh, all those in favor? Aye. Aye. Opposed? The eyes have it and so moved. We're adjourned. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Tonight. Good night. Good night.
