Welcome to the 25th annual National Night Out in the City of Fairfax. Nearly a dozen City of Fairfax communities participate in the 25th National Night Out. Members of the City of Fairfax Police Department rotate among the participating communities to rally together to fight crime and foster a positive police and community relationship. National Night Out is an opportunity for the members of the police department and other members of the law enforcement agencies in our area to get out and meet with citizens in our community and to share a nice evening out and to talk about issues about community safety and to emphasize that we're really in a partnership to protect the community that we live in. It's a wonderful opportunity for the police and the community to get together and talk about how to fight crime. It's important to strengthen our neighborhoods and take control of our neighborhoods for the safety of our families. We've been doing this for almost 20 years and every single year gets better and better and more kids come. We said, good way for the children to get the sense of community and meet with the firefighters and the police officers. We've been living here about eight years and we look forward to National Night Out every year. And we always come out and the kids love to see the police officers and the firemen come up and give the tours of their vehicles. There's a sea right there. We give some fire safety tips, interacting with children, giving away free fire homes to the children. We get like, make glasses and hats. Are you also wearing the farming? Yeah, most three guys are the firemen too. You want a sticker? I'll buy you a hat for a hat, thank you. I just met a policeman and he gave us like, glow things. What I've got is these glow adorgnacluses. And then other officers will be here. They'll have pencils and things like that. The National Night Out is an opportunity for everyone in the community to come out. Turn on their lights, greet their neighbors, meet their neighbors. I'm going to get the snowman.
