Joy to the world of the Lord is God, that every sea is a king, like every other tree that we grew I can't change the history I can't change the history I can't change the history So let's see what we can achieve and the How is everybody tonight is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, isn't it? So I have the pleasure this evening of introducing just a few of my colleagues on behalf of Mayor Letter who by the way is out of town. He's actually skiing with his family. So we'll give him a break since he brought the family with him. But it is my pleasure this evening to introduce my colleagues here on the City Council. First of all, Councilman Gary Rasmussen, Councilwoman Gail Lyon, Councilwoman Joan Cross, and Councilwoman Patrice Winter. Let me just say, and I'll keep it short, because I know we're all here to really begin the celebration, but let me just say that this is exactly what is so special about the City of Fairfax. This is a great event that we host every year and I see a lot of familiar faces, many of you come every year and it really does kick off the Christmas and the holiday season and we're just so grateful for your participation. Let me also take just a moment to introduce a very special guest who's been with us year after year and this year is no different and I want to introduce to you Santa Claus Santa and I think he's gonna say a few words for all of you youngsters out there oh councilman is so nice to see you again we remember when he was very much younger so many of you. And it's been such a pleasure. I think we've been coming here to the city for this event for over 20 years. I think 21 years perhaps. We've been, please spend a little bit of time with you. And we enjoyed so much seeing the children at the lunch with Santa today and greeting in meeting with some of the student, the children upstairs and the students from middle school who played so well. But you know I can only stay a few moments and we'll help to light the grocery street because as you know there's so much time and so little to do with the North Pole no way to turn that around. There's been so little time and so much to do that I'm a soon get back there. But I'm so pleased to have greeted and seen so many of you today and I know all the children have been so very good and I think even our council people have been doing their best up to be good this year as well so we'll join everybody here today and I know he's gonna help lead in lighting the tree there's a little bit of magical ceremony that goes with added and you've been gifted with this magic for tonight in place of our mayor, right? Okay, it's so I know that Mr. Sovethore and he can handle it too. As did I think his father before him, so what could we say and it's nice to see you all? Merry Christmas!
