Board members discussed that the year-to-date revenues are trending ahead of the budgeted amount. Chief Jackson put forth that thei two vehicles budgeted to be purchased in FY24 have not yet been purchased. E. NEW BUSINESS 1. Funding Requests a. Patrol Truck. This would be a budget amendment and must go to Town Council for ratification. The funds ($72,084) must come from the CCPD fund balance. This expenditure will allow fori the replacement of a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe that is still being used for patrol service and will provide ap police radio for this new vehicle. The purchase of a truck would also allow the department to more easily transport equipment for training or traffic control at the sites of collisions. Attachments C and D. Discussion on the requested budget amendment opened at 6:18p. Chief. Jackson explained the need for the additional police patrol truck in FY24 and members discussed the uses of transportation of traffic control devices and training equipment. Motion to approve the budget amendment and forward this request to Town Council made by Justin Davis and seconded Phillip Mullen. Motion passed unanimously ate 6:22p. 2. Conduct a public hearing regarding the FY25 Budget Attachment E. a. Open Public Hearing - Allow public comment and input on proposed budget. b.
