Please note - there is a five (5) minute limit. Paul Jones, Jackson resident, offered a beautiful Prayer. Dorothy DeSilva, Jackson resident, requested a beautification of Jackson and how Main Street needs a little attention and sprucing up. She brought forward some great ideas in which the City of] Jackson will do as much as they can. Some ideas would fall on the business owners to address and some properties are privately owned. Vice Mayor Gonsalves commented that there isa a Revitalization Committee still active today that has looked into all kinds of options for Main Street with majority ofs shop owners who were not in favor for flower/tree pots due to vandalism and people not taking care oft them. The $16K ofwork completed is not reflected on any report. Passing the Heritage Tree Protection Ordinance would save these trees and on other projects the city has planned and asked if Council would re-consider putting this on a future agenda or set up an informal meeting to get this back Mayor Stimpson asked for any additional Public Comment, after none, seeing none, he moved to next on track. item. 3. Attended a meeting at the Rollingwood Community talking about the most recent scams and how toj protect themselves from being a victim. The JPD recently assisted ai resident there from a the Elk Grove Police Department. $35K check scam but was only able to recover $5K. Starting a Citizens Volunteer Program with a lot ofinterest. The. JPD is geared up for Dandelion Days, rain or shine. Report of] February Calls; March is proving to be busier Attended a. JPAL Board Meeting; discussed bringing back the Cadet Program Fire Chief, Debbie Mackey Attended several meetings last week with Coronavirus discussion in all oft them; will keep Council updated and how the fire department will be impacted. They are following all protocols for their department from their region who is overseen by the Mountain Valley Emergency Medical Services Agency. When responding to medical calls that may have a positive Coronavirus case, they will be seen putting on their PPE (personal protective equipment) consisting ofar mask, gloves and a gown and render aide to the patient following their protocols for each case. City Attorney, Josh Nelson Asai follow up to the Coronavirus discussions, questions received based around ifthe situation worsens how will this affect our city operations with regard to the Brown Act? All normal rules apply, council can call in, list each address where calling from, list optional to list call-in numbers for the public. He will keep Council updated as information is received. City Manager, Yvonne Kimball Coronavirus briefing included in meeting packet, she is receiving updates continually, and has CM Kimball will continue to take the Counties lead on all communication going forward. At the County Supervisors meeting tomorrow, Dr. Kerr will be presenting and updates. School Board is also sending out information which states there are no cases currently in sent information to all departments. All departments are: following the precaution measures. Thornton Consolo, Jackson resident, stated how many oft the public read and could not understand the codes and how the California voters were dupped into thinking these Propositions were in the good for the people of California. Thel bad guys are running this with organized groups on what they can get away with. He's very disappointed with language and descriptions on the ballots. Can'tthink of one. Jackson resident who would be against this. Monise Sheehan, Jackson resident, stated how the gangs inj prison are operating this. These propositions were rushed and written really good to fool the voters and hopeful with new Jack Georgette, Jackson resident, asked the Police Chiefa and City Attorney to tell him and the people in this room who the proponents were ofthis Prop 47? What was their background? Who were their names, where were they from, what group were they from other than the Communist party? ChiefMynderup answered he did not know who wrote them but that ex- Governor Brown is going to help fight this tooth and nail all the way to legislation.
