City ofWendell Special Council Meeting Minutes June 17, 2025 Mayor Rebecca Vipperman called the regular meeting of the Wendell City Council to order at 6:30 PM. Council members present were Council President BJ Marshall; Councilwoman Carolyn McRoberts, Councilman Juan Gonzales and Councilman Donald Dunn. City Attorney Tim Stover was also present. APPROVE AMENDED AGENDA None COUNCILI MEETING MINUTES Councilwoman Marshall made a motion to approve the May 15 Regular Council Meeting minutes. Councilman Dunn seconded the motion. Roll call vote taken; Councilwoman Marshall-Aye, CandwomanMiRdbers-AyeCouncilman Gonzales- Aye and Councilman Dunn- Aye; motion passed. Councilwoman Marshall made a motion to approve the June 5 Regular Council Meeting minutes. Councilwoman McRoberts seconded the motion. DEPARTMENT REPORTS (Public Works/Clerk-Treasureasure/Fire/Polive/lbrrary/Ordinance) PUBLIC HEARINGS None NEW BUSINESS discussion/action. items) Consideration of Pocatello 2025 Storage Water Lease Mayor Vipperman introduced the proposed Pocatello 2025 Storage Water Lease Agreement. Attorney Tim Stover said that he'd compare the proposed lease with the lease that the city signed last year and would report back to the Council. Item was tabled until the next meeting. Page 1 of 2 UNFINISHED BUSINESS discussion/action items) Consideration of Pheasants Forever Property Mayor Vipperman stated that Fire Chief Bob Bailey and Public Works Director Stephen Devereaux were unable to attend the meeting that night due to volunteer firefighter training and were therefore unable to present their findings. Item was tabled until the next meeting. Consideration of Adjusting/Finalizing Wendell Area of Impact Mayor Vipperman stated that she had been unable to work with Code Enforcement to get the adjustment process started. Item is tabled until the next meeting. PUBLIC COMMENT Bob Schwendiman, 3rd Ave W Wendell, Idaho stated that Dairy Days had been a great success and a great restart. He stated that the people involved with the event had done a great job and that he was glad that it was going again. COUNCIL Councilwoman BJ Marshall stated that she had attended the Dairy Days event and that while she was there, she noted all the recent improvements to the park including the bandshell, new pavilion, basketball court, new playground equipment, and new sidewalk. She was pleased with all the work that has happened to improve the City Park for the public. She also reminded the Council oft the Wendell History talk by llene Rounsefell that was taking place the next evening at the Senior Center. Councilman Juan Gonzales praised the Dairy Days Committee for their hard work and agreed that Dairy Days had been a success. MAYOR Mayor Vipperman also praised the Dairy Days committee and stated that it was wonderful to have such competent help as they planned the event. She wished Chris Bailey and Councilman Gonzales a happy birthday. She stated that the Simerly's Fireworks Extravaganza was taking place on June 28th, 1 and that the city would be hosting a mobile mammography van in the city on July 14th.
