Minutes Council Meeting Monday February 10th 2025 6:00pm Location: Alamo City Hall In attendance: Mayor Pamela Lee, City Manager Jeff Floyd, Council member Steve Jones, Council Member Laura Brownley, Council Member Geoffrey Villegas, Council Member Bobby Cox, Council Member Dondrea Geter, City Clerk Dana Burkhalter Absent: Council Member Patricia Woodard Executive Session (employees matters & ligations) started at 5:30 pm Council Member took minutes for executive session. Call Meeting to Order--- Mayor Pamela Lee called to order at 6:19 pm 1. invocation City Manager 2. Pledge of Allegiance_ everyone 3. Approve minutes from December 23rd council meeting -Motion was made by council member Cox and 2nd by Council Member Villegas to approve the minutes and all unanimously approved 4. Approve Minutes from January 6th Meeting Motion was made by Council member Villegas and 2nd by Geter to approve the minutes from the 6th of January meeting and all unanimously approved 5. Approve agenda- Motion was made to approve the agenda for the February 10th meeting by Council Member Brownley and 2nd by Council Member' Villegas and all unanimously approved. 6. Finance Report_ December report motion made to approve the December report by Council Member Villegas and 2nd by Council Member COX all unanimously approved. A motion was made to approve the Finance report for January by Council Member COX and 2nd by Councit Member Villegas all unanimously approved. OLD BUSINESS 7.East Railroad Street Culvert-- we put this out for bids, and we have 2 bids tonight that are sealed, and we will now open. Fire Department report- attached 20. Mayor Report- PUBLIC PATICIPATION Mr. Charles Lee spoke on the house bill 581 and was unsure of what that would mean for the citizens. City Manager stated that if we don't opt out that the state would have total control of how high or low they want to set our tax and home values .
