Estimated construction cost: $2,000,000.00. Bids received: Altamaha Building Systems, Inc: $3,574,174.00; ICB Construction Group Inc: $3,546,675.98; Pro Construction of GA, LLC: $3,723,185.00. All bids exceeded the projected budget. Awaiting recommendation from M.E. Sacks. Bid documents forwarded to City Attorney Perry Avery for review. Discussions regarding cost-cutting options are ongoing. New Business Transportation Investment Act / Local Road Assistance Program - GDOT provided bid documents for South Jefferson St, Magnolia Lane, and Pearl Ave. Motion to advertise bids: Motion by Council Member Woodard, Second by Council Member Cox, Motion carried unanimously. Towns Ave project requires engineering work. Motion by Council Member Jones, Second by Council Member Villegas, Motion carried unanimously. GDOT-funded resurfacing project ($42,907) for Lakeview, Lucille Ave, and Nellie St. Motion by Council Member Cox, Second by Council Member Woodard, Motion carried unanimously. Pump at Lift Station - Quotes for Lift Station 4: Glennville Electric Motors: $8,375.00; Pro Pump Solutions: $16,746.40; Templeton & Associates: $10,394.79. Motion to proceed with Glennville Electric Motors: Motion by Council Member Woodard, Second by Council Member Villegas, Motion carried unanimously. July 4th Celebration - Scheduled for June 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Fire Department organizing the event. Library Funding Request - Budget shortfall of $5,000 reported by Kim Spencer. Initial motion for $9,000 died due to no second. Motion to increase support to $6,500 annually: Motion by Council Member Villegas, Second by Council Member Geter, Motion carried unanimously. Council Member Jones suggested reviewing if others fail to contribute. Roadside Park - City in talks with landowner for lease or deed. Motion to pursue lease or deed: Motion by Council Member Brownley, Second by Council Member Villegas, Motion carried unanimously. Certificates of Deposit - Water & Sewer CD: $200,178.72; General Fund Savings CD: $75,000.00; Bond & Interest Sinking Fund CD: $267,277.64. All due to roll over on May 31, 2025.
