The committee will hold its initial meeting before the next Commissioners Court June 24, 2025. The committee will provide its findings and recommendations to the court before or during the FY26 Budget workshops scheduled in August 2025. This committee shall include a representative from the County Attorney's Office, Budget Office, Risk Management Department, Constable Departments, Sheriff's Office, Montgomery County Law Enforcement Association, and a representative chosen by the Commissioners and/or the Judge. Findings shall present, but not limited to GAP analysis between neighboring counties, budget health, tax rates, funding mechanisms, deficits, surpluses, GAP analysis between benefit packages, the delta total costs, step and slot plans, and 1-5 year plan.
