Architeçture. 910-255-3111 A community workshop is being held to discuss a major conditional use and site plan for a parcel located at 1000- Azinger Way with a Government (G) zone district classification, commonly known as Bobby Jones Golf Course (PID# 2021-07-0001). The major conditional use is being requested for a leasehold use by the Sarasota Lawn Building Club to çonstruct a new lawn bowling facility. The façility is proposing a 121' by 121' lawn bowling green, a single entrance road off Circus Boulevard açcessing a parking lot with 18 parking spaçes (including 2 handicap spaces), 6' of payers surrounding the green with a 6' sidewalk surrounding the pavers. The plan also includes a one-story restroom (12' tall) and a one-story storage building with a covered patio (11' tall). A 4' taii chain link fençe will surround the facility. The limit of disturbance for the project is 52,763 square feet. The Zoning Code (2002 Ed.) oft the City of Sarasota requires that all applicants hold a Community Workshop prior to filing a formal application with the City of Sarasota if requesting one or more oft the following applications: Conditional Use; Rezone; Street/ROW Vacation; "G": Zone Waiyer; Amendment to the Future Land Use Map Hlustration LU-6 of the Sarasota City Plan; Amendments to the text of the Sarasota City Plan that affect a specific and limited area of the City (as determined by the Director of the Department of Neighborhood and Development Services); day care facilities with more than ten children in certain zone districts; utilization of Golden Gate Point alternatiye standards, and/or certain development projects within the Laurel Park Oyerlay District (LPOD) and North Trail Overlay District (NTOD), The meeting ist to inform neighboring property owners, residents, and business owners of the nature oft the proposed development, explain the site plan, if any, solicit suggestions and identify concerns; prior to the filing ofai formal development application. This meeting will be conducted by the applicant or their representative however, a member oft the City of Sarasota's staff will be in attendance to address administrative questions.
