The Property has no associated Sarasota County PID and is zoned Downtown Core (DTC) and the Future Land Use designation of the adjacent properties is Downtown Core. Cross St is presently utilized as a one-way access drive, traveling west to east, for the current businesses along the street, The current width oft the streeti is approximately 28 feet and includes striping for parallel parking. Cross St is not designated on the Primary Grid Street map (Map VI- I00 I) or identified as a Primary "A" Street in the Downtown Environs Map of the Engineering Design Criteria Manual (Fig DE-2). Additionally, it is not identified as a Transit Corridor or a Thoroughfare roadway in the Transportation Element ofthe Sarasota City Plan. While there is development anticipated for the properties north and south of Cross St, detailed development plans have not yet been prepared as the orientation and design of any potential site plan will be largely informed by the potential to vacate the ROW. The workshop presentation will begin at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, with an opportunity to ask questions following the presentation. The Zoning Code (2002 Ed.)o ofthe City of Sarasota requires that all applicants hold a Community Workshop prior to filing a formal application with the City of Sarasotai ifr requesting one or more ofthe following applications: Conditional Use; Rezone; Street/ROW Vacation; "G"2 Zone Waiver; Amendment to the Future Land Use Map Illustration! LU-6 ofthe Sarasota City Plan; Amendments to the text ofthe Sarasota City Plan that affect a specific and limited area ofthe City (as determined byt the Director oft thel Department ofNeighborhood. and! Development Services); day care facilities with more than ten children in certain zone districts; utilization of Golden Gatel Point altemative standards, and/or certain development projects within the Laurel Park Overlay District (LPOD) andl North' Trail Overlay District (NTOD).
