The subject property is currently zoned Residential Single Family 2 (RSF-2) and has an adopted Future Land Use Map classification of Urban Mixed Use. The property is approximately 31 acres and is currently rented as an office use. The applicant is proposing to rezone thej parcel from RSF-2 to MU-2 (Mixed Use - 2), which is an implementing zone district for the Urban Mixed Use Future Land Use classification. The applicant proposes to rezone the property in order to operate a business on the parcel consistent with the MU-2 zone district. The current building shall remain the same. The applicant proposes to widen the driveway onto Euclid Avenue and provide additional parking spaces including handicapped spaces. The proposed rezone will permit the applicant to operate his business within City of Sarasota guidelines and zoning requirements.
