Explain the difference between the application and permit. The project requires a site plan application be submitted and processed showing the proposed site and building improvements. A private yacht club in the Residential Single-Family (RSF) zoning district requires a Conditional Use Permit also be approved by the City Commission. Because it is a "permit" if violations occur and are not fixed, the Commission can revoke the Conditional Use Permit. Is there an application or permit number? Not yet because the applications have not been submitted. Right now, the only application number relates to this Community Workshop (24-CW-10). Once the site plan and conditional use permit applications are submitted, a number will be assigned. The eastern parcels are zoned RSF. Whati is proposed? Some code- required lighting will be installed. Why do the new lights have to be taller? The project requires that we meet the various codes including parking lot lighting. [NOTE: Since the Community Workshop, we are looking into lowering the height ofthe parking lot lights based on last) year'ss suggestion that they would be 18' tall.) Do thej parking lot lights need to be on all night? There is minimum lighting required by code. The new building will be a "smart" building sO lighting can be managed as long as the code is met. Will there be any EV charging stations installed for public use? This has not been considered at this time. What is the timeline for the project's construction? There are several months of review for the site plan and conditional use applications followed by the public hearings. This will take 7 or 8 months most likely. The plan is to have demolition take place in April of2025 with an 18 month construction schedule. All oft the contractors being considered for thej project agree on the construction timeframe. A construction staging and phasing plan is required by the City before a building permit can be issued. This plan outlines the details including how workers get to the site, material staging, etc. This plan is updated every few months and can be reviewed by the public.
