PID:2027070061- DTE (unchanged) The proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment and concurrent rezonings on site seek to provide a form that is founded upon the concepts of" "New Urbanism" and consistent with the Goals, Objectives, and Action Strategies of the City Plan. The proposed FLU and zoning amendments foster an environment that complements the Ringling Blvd complete street through the creation of frontage that is safe, comfortable, and an interesting place to live, walk, and meet. The permitted uses through the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment and concurrent rezonings allow for a transition between the neighborhood frontage along Dolphin Ln and the urban frontage that extends upon Ringling Blvd. There are no plans for redevelopment of the site at this time. The workshop presentation will begin at 5:30 PM on August 1st, 2023, with an opportunity for questions following the presentation. The Zoning Code (2002 Ed.)ofthe City of Sarasota requires that all applicants hold a Community Workshop priort to filing a formal application with the City ofSarasota ifrequesting one or more oft the following applications: Conditional Use; Rezone; Street/ROW Vacation; "G" Zone Waiver; Amendment to the Future Land Use Map Illustration LU-6 oft the Sarasota City Plan; Amendments to the text of the Sarasota City Plan that affect a specific and limited area oft the City (as determined by the Director oft the Department of Neighborhood and Development Services); day care facilities with more than ten children in certain zone districts; utilization of Golden Gate Point alternative standards, and/or certain development projects within the Laurel Park Overlay.
