Pamela runs the youth groups for the Southwest Conservation Corp. Six youths per groups. 2 groups. Monday through Thursday groups would work on trails and Fridays would be reserved for education. Trails that were worked by youth groups. Bear Lake Trail Archuleta Trail Silver Lake Trail Pamela asks that the BOCC consider funding the program for 2024. Estimated Amount Earned= $22,446.17 CBMS Computer Refresh - CBMS Supplemental Computer Refresh Allocation. Conejos County will receive $6494 to update computers for our eligibility workers. Road and Bridge Report - Donnie Martinez: County Road 11 Bridge is complete. County Road 28 bridge is currently being worked on by Robins Construction. County Road V Bridge has been approved by DOT after repairs were done. County Road X.5 Bridge will be repaired in the Spring 2024. Pothole and Crack repair will start in October. Pothole truck is in use and assisting in the pothole repairs. Donnie working on Pavement pricing. Donnie has been trouble shooting issues with Jail pump station for sewage. been 0 Many of the issues that Donnie faced have been fixed and has operating normally. Donnie would like to create a drainage field as an emergency tactic. Ambulance Report = Ernest Abeyta: Monthly revenue $29,109.39 YTD revenue $355,186.01 EMS Supplemental income $58,494.14 109 Calls for the month. YTD calls 979. Showers at Ambulance base are complete. New Ambulance purchase through half match NTS Grant. Fun with 911 was very successful. Ernest was able to purchase new tablets for Ambulance. Keystone EMS training - Ernest and up to six EMS personal to attend conference. Ernest discusses the repairs needed to one ofhis Ambulances. 3 Public Health Report Denise Jiron: P/T PCP position open. Veronica Fringer helped with Inoculations for Flu Vaccines. Town of La Jara has water shut off which effects the Public Health building, water will be turned on soon. PCP Program number O September 2023 Clients: 55 Hour worked: 7,103. Employing 28 Providers Continue to have a vacancy for Assistant Supervisor. PCP staff are required to get flu vaccine or sign a waiver and comply with masking / illness screening. This is not new and has been a requirement for this program. There have not been any client incidents this reporting period; all program reporting requirements are to update. San Luis Valley Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) II have been working on Emergency Plans for our Tier II Chemical Plants, after completing the CAMEO course in June. These Plans will be discussed and presented at the next SLV LEPC meeting in November. 2. Conejos County EPAListening Session Tuesday September 27 This meeting was held at the Commissioners Board Room at 5:00 on September 27th, 2023. We discussed various concerns on Environmental Issues including Health, Environmental Justice and Equity. We will follow up with more information including grant funding for selected issues. I anticipate future meetings with Brent Campbell, Environmental Protection Specialist for Region 8 - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. 3. Crisis Track account is Operational for Conejos County Crisis Track is Disaster Management Software that The State of Colorado has adopted for all the Counties and Tribes in Colorado. It will help identify Disaster Costs and complete FEMA paperwork for faster disaster assistance in the event of a large-scale disaster in Colorado. The Conejos Team is designated as me as Lead, Naomi, Thomas, Linda and Connie. There are 3 training videos for us to watch and then an in-person meeting on November 8th. 4. Special Project Grant from the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management II have applied for a Regional Grant from funds at the DHSEM - Emergency Management Planning Grant. We were awarded a little over $10,000. We will provide a 50% match from our SLV R EOC funds. $10,255.83 (reimbursement - $5,127.93). There will be some differences in the total cost because of current charges ofitems ordered some a little less and others more + shipping and handling charges. 1 anticipate the total to be around $10, 350. This grant is for some needed equipment to be used in the event of a large-scale disaster and will provide more resources for our mobile Emergency Operation Center. 5. The EMPG (Emergency Management Performance Grant) that funds 50% of our Office of Emergency Management is now open to start filling out the required forms that will be due on January 12, 2024. Iam anticipating receiving reimbursement funds for 2024 of $41,280. (1/2 of my proposed budget of $82,560).
