FY 2024-2025 Second Quarterly Report Economic Development Executive Director Jeremy Martinez presented the EDC second quarterly report for fiscal year 2024-2025 to the City Council. He highlighted ongoing projects like the East Dickinson Lights, which will soon be visible. The City Park Memorial Benches Program offers community members an opportunity to honor loved ones by contributing to the cost of a bench installed at City Park. Participants pay $500 toward the bench, with the remaining cost covered by the EDC. New initiatives include programs for business retention and expansion. Quarterly events at the new convention center, and workforce training and job fairs to address local workforce issues. The Rustic Venue has been purchased by a company who intends to open a hardware store. The New Dialysis Center will replace the former Tile Mart. 3.
