REGULAR MEETING OF DRAI VOSBURG COUNCIL OF May 13, 2025 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Council President McKelvey with the Pledge of Allegiance. Citizens Present Mr. Dennis Krajewski reports there are illegal cars in the area with no inspection, etc. Sgt. Gault asks where they were. Mr. Krajewski replies in Poplar Alley. A brief discussion follows. Engineer Mr. Dursa reports on CD48 Demolitions, the contractor finally has the pieces for the fence that was damaged and will be installing them soon. Mr. Dursa reports we have not heard anything yet on the GEDTF Grant for ADA Handicap Ramps and Sidewalks on Euclid Avenue. Mr. Dursa reports they submitted CD51 application for street reconstruction - Ridgeview Dr (Highview to Clearview) and Highview (Ridgeview to start to the loop). Mr. Dursa reports a 2024 Act 152 Grant application has been submitted for the demolition of 511 Ridgeview and 165 Duquesne. Mr. Dursa reports we were awarded $160,387 for ADA Handicap Ramps from the 2023 LSA Grant. They are working on the design specs. Mr. Dursa reports the 2024 LSA Grant applications submitted were for Street Reconstruction of Ravine Street, 3rd St. Playground Wall, Jimmy Clarke Park and Public Works Building Restroom. Mr. Dursa reports the borough received a total of $40,000 from CD 49&50 for Mound Avenue. The borough will contribute the remaining amount due, if any. Mr. Dursa reports there are 2 other grants open now, one is the GTRP that we could apply for. 1 Mayor Mayor McKelvey comments he still has to talk with the police about the accident at the playground. Mayor McKelvey informs Sgt. Gault that DeRosa Trucking is having issues with diesel fuel being stolen and asks for police to patrol that area more often. Solicitor Atty. Matta states his report was given at Caucus: 1) They are waiting on the engineer's review of what they sent them on the Billboard Ordinance. 2) The Territo Deed for the Curry Hollow Property has been completed. 3) Demolition notices will be mailed before the end of the week. 4) There is someone interested in purchasing 201 McClure and it may better for them to purchase it now before the demolition hearing; they will follow up on that. 5) The surveyor for Long Alley should have it done by the end of the week. SanlalenCrayPigha Properties Mr. Dzuro has no motions for tonight. Public Safely/Workers Comp/Fire President McKelvey has nothing to report. Park/Recregtion/Om, Mr. Palcsey questions if the application for the conduits/lighting at the ballfields was put in. The engineer replied no, that was way too much money since we would have to bring everything up to code. We put in for the fence replacement and bleachers on all 3 fields.
