FORD CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY Andrea Kiehl-McKibbin, direstor ofFord City Public Library, has prepared an update on current matters at the Ford City Public Library as well as sharing some upcoming events that FCPL is facilitating. 1 ACTION ITEMS 1. Minimum Municipal Obligation - General Employees' Pension Plan Councilwoman Mary. Alice Bryant made the motion to accept and approve the 2025 Non-Uniform Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO) in the amount of $0.00, which said calculation was prepared by the plan's Actuary, Mockenhaupt Benefits Group. Vice President Richard Chimka seconds the motion. Council comments: Council President Carol Fenyes explained that this is the plan for employees hired prior to 2018 and that the plan is fully funded. Motion carried: 5-0 2. Minimum Municipal Obligation Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System Vice President Richard Chimka made the motion to accept and approve the 2025 General Employee's Pension Plan Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO), administered by Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System (PMRS) in the amount of$8,181.55. Councilwoman Sally Beck seconds the motion. No comments Motion carried: 5-0 3. Ford City Borough (LERTA) Improvement Area Abatement Application Councilwoman Mary Alice Bryant made the motion to approve a Ford City Borough Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance (LERTA) application submitted by Gerard Miklos to participate in the Tax Abatement Program outlined in Ordinance 680 and authorize appropriate borough officials to take any and all necessary actions to effectuate the same. Vice President Richard Chimka seconds ther motion. No comments Motion carried: 5-0 4. Approval and Authorization to Submit Payment Requisition #1 to PennyEST for Cast Iron Waterline Replacement Project Councilman Tom Ondrusek made the motion to approve and authorize proper Borough officials to take all action necessary to submit Payment Requisition #1 in the amount ofS1,004,307.37 to PennVEST related to the Cast Iron Waterline Replacement Project. Councilwoman Sally Beck seconds the motion. Council comments: Council President Carol Fenyes clarified that this would be a reimbursement to the borough of all incurred engineering fees related to the Cast Iron Waterline Replacement Project. Motion carried: 5-0 5. Approval and Authorization to Submit Payment Requisition #1 to Penn' VEST for Lead Service Line Replacement Project Councilman Tom Ondrusek made the motion to approve and authorize proper Borough officials to take all action necessary to submit Payment Requisition #1 in the amount of $15,332.50 to 2 PennVEST related to the Lead Service Line Replacement Project. Councilwoman Mary Alice Bryant seconds the motion. Council comments: Council President Carol Fenyes clarified that this would be a reimbursement to the borough of all incurred engineering fees related to the Lead Service Line Replacement Project. Motion carried: 5-0 6. Zoning Hearing Board Appointment Vice President Richard Chimka made the motion to appoint John Thompson Sr. to the Zoning Hearing Board for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2024, and ending December 31, 2026. Councilwoman Mary Alice Bryant seconds the motion. DISCUSSION ITEMS -None MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS -Trash Days Assistant Secretary Abby Nimerosky made the announcement that Trash Days would take place on October 15th and 16th on 2nd Ave from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and the details on how to participate and what will be accepted. -Street Sweeping Assistant Secretary Abby Nimerosky announced that the first week of fall street sweeping for this year would be this week on Thursday, September 26th. The first week would be to sweep the streets. -Halloween in Ford City Borough Assistant Secretary Abby Nimerosky also announced that Trick or Treating in the borough will be on October 30th, ? 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Halloween Parade will be on October 31St, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
