Call to Order. Chair Mike Hodge called the meeting to order at Noon. 2. Hotel Occupancy Tax Economic update for FY 2025/2026. Erin Burks, Downtown and Marketing Manager provided the update. 3. Update on Marble Falls' Tourism. Kayla Gostnell, Tourism Manager provided the update. 4. Review of the FY 2025/2026 Hotel Occupancy Tax Budget. Wade Nickerson, Director of Finance reviewed the FY 2025/2026 proposed budget with the committee and updated the committee on the current budget. 5. Discussion and Recommendation on HOT Reimbursement Grant Applications for funding from the FY 2025/2026 Hotel Occupancy Tax Budget. (a) Music on Main. Mitch McManus requested $45,000. (b) Highland Lakes Chili Pod. No representative was present. The organization requested $3,000. (c) St. Frederick African American Museum. Bessie Jackson addressed the committee. Reverand George Perry was present. Ms. Jackson requested $10,000. June 11, 2025 Meeting Page 1 of2 (d) The Falls on the Colorado Museum. Jase Sutton presented the request in the a ount of $3,500. (e) Texas Tournament Zone. Corey Johnson addressed the committee and requested $5,000 for two events in FY 2025/2026. (f) Highland Lakes Creative Arts. Erin Hinzmann presented the request. Bill Rives was also present. Ms. Hinzmann requested $31,500. (g) Highland. Arts Guild and Gallery. Paulette Blake, Donna Blan, Ronda Hostetter and Gregg Blake were present. Paultette Blake addressed the committee requesting funds in the amount of $11,244. (h) Applications received after grant application submittal deadline. The application submitted by FiestaJam was considered. The organization requested funds in the amount of $27,500 for their event. No representative was present. Committee Member Fletcher moved to recommend funding from the FY 2025/2026 Hotel Occupancy Tax Budget as noted below: Music on Main $30,000 Highland Lakes Chili Pod No Award St. Frederick African American Museum $ 8,000 The Falls on the Colorado Museum $ 3,500 Texas Tournament Zone $ 2,500 Highland Lakes Creative Arts $18,000 Highland Arts Guild and Gallery $ 5,000 FiestaJam $10,000 The motion was seconded by Committee Member Johnson and carried by a unanimous vote (6-0). 6.
