BART is submitting a grant application to the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (SMCTA) to secure funding for fare gate improvements at stations within San Mateo County. The County may have reached out to the City Council regarding an MOUPreimbursement agreement, but it is really an insurance that ifthe SMCTA does not provide grant funding, then the obligation for fare gate reimbursement will be sought from the BART station cities. The City had reached out to the County for a draft MOU, but had not received it.
